"The room was clean and tidy, facing the residential area, so it was relatively quiet. The location is excellent, right next to a subway station and a well-known chain hotel, offering good value for money. If you exit the hotel, turn right a few steps, then turn left, you'll find an alley lined with residential buildings. This means you can easily find local eateries in the morning. There's an 'Ant Noodle Shop' that is particularly delicious; their beef brisket wonton noodles are clean and tidy, with plenty of beef brisket and a clear, flavorful beef broth. The hotel even delivered a hot bowl of wontons in the evening, which were also very tasty. All of these things made my trip to Ningbo a wonderful memory!"

"Although the hotel facilities are a bit dated, the service absolutely deserves a five-star rating. The front desk staff were polite and thoughtful, and service requests were promptly attended to. Since there were three of us staying, they generously provided an extra breakfast. The breakfast was excellent, offering a rich variety of options compared to other hotels of a similar standard. Even for someone like me who is a picky eater, there was plenty to choose from, and I felt completely satisfied. The restaurant staff were also very courteous and provided attentive service in a timely manner. I was even pleasantly surprised to find that the bathroom faucets were Hansgrohe. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. If I had to mention any minor drawbacks, the hotel's shower caps were too small to fit my head – I hope they can improve their selection of amenities in the future. The room lighting was a bit dim, the telephone was out of order, and the bathroom lacked a rain shower. However, none of these issues significantly impacted my overall experience."

"The location is good, making it easy to get anywhere by taxi; it's about a 15-minute taxi ride from the train station. The room facilities are a bit old but still functional. The TV is a projector, and you need your own streaming subscriptions to use it. Soundproofing is a bit poor. The service attitude is excellent. They have a butler service, which was a pleasant surprise. They even provide makeup remover, facial cleanser, and laundry detergent. Upon arrival, we received fruit and a late-night snack. Foot baths are also offered. Breakfast is predominantly Chinese. Free tea is available in the lobby."

"The hotel boasts a prime location right next to Tianyi Square, a ten-minute walk from Yuehu Park, and just three subway stops from the train station. The room features a bay window, a tea table, and smart amenities like electric curtains. It was clean, well-ventilated, and the toiletries had a pleasant nutmeg and pine scent. Each evening, we received a complimentary dessert soup (like tremella and peach gum or red bean soup), and on Christmas Eve, they even gave us an apple! Breakfast was exceptional: grilled shrimp, stewed beef, and chicken cutlets were always available. The noodle station offered homemade noodles, rice noodles, and wontons with generous ingredients and fantastic flavor. It was truly a comfortable and delightful stay!"

"First off, the location of this Atour Hotel is excellent. With the recent drop in temperature, it's great that the subway entrance is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and the underground Donggudao shopping street leads directly to the heart of Tianyi Square. The hotel is also close to Tianyi Pavilion; it's a short taxi ride (minimum fare) or about a 1km walk, which is pleasant on a nice day. The hotel service was attentive and warm, and the room hygiene was good. The layout was well-designed, and the 2-meter king bed was fantastic – seriously, Atour's mattresses are top-notch, even better than some high-end hotels in terms of firmness and comfort. The breakfast selection was rich and delicious. I'll definitely choose to stay here again."

GGuest UserLocated in a village near Cicheng, it is about half an hour's drive from downtown Ningbo and about two hours from Shanghai. It is a quiet and convenient location. The housekeeper will contact in advance to confirm the dinner and bathing time. The special bathing pool is by appointment, which is basically a private bath experience. It is very comfortable. The restaurant tastes good, the stir-fried asparagus is very tender, and a bowl of glutinous rice balls was given when checking in during the Lantern Festival, which is very considerate. It is very comfortable to stroll around the bamboo forest pond in the village in the morning. The rape flowers are about to bloom recently, and it is a good place for leisure and vacation.

Location: Strategically located in the heart of Ningbo, the hotel is just a stone’s throw away from Cheng Huang Night Market, the pedestrian street, shopping malls, and many popular restaurants. Super convenient for exploring the city. Staff: Check-in was pleasant and smooth, with friendly and warm staff at reception. They were very helpful in giving us navigation tips around the area. The team even went the extra mile to make our wedding anniversary special. A big thank you to Ms. Lu (吕小姐) for her thoughtful service! Amenities: The self-laundry area and gym are tucked away in a corner, so they’re convenient to use without disturbing guests. Room: Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. It feels like the hotel has been newly renovated. The environment is comfortable and well-maintained. Breakfast: The breakfast spread is good and offers enough variety if you prefer to dine in the hotel. Note: During winter, the hotel uses a centralised air-conditioning system, which means the rooms are set to heating mode. There are rooms with and without windows, so do consider your preference. GGuest UserI would have given a 5-star review for Pan Pacific Ningbo had it not been for allowing guests and even hotel staff to smoke in the hotel! I give 1-star for cleanliness because allowing guests and staff to smoke in a hotel lobby and rooms is simply disgusting! There's nothing clean about it! It's such a waste because Pan Pacific Ningbo has such great facilities and luxurious interior; I even made a video of the hotel and will be posting it on my newly created YouTube channel. I may return again when the Chinese government has banned smoking in hotels and taken a more serious attitude against smoking and enforced the laws against smoking in hotels and restaurants. Having brought up the bad thing about Pan Pacific Ningbo, I would like to highly commend the following staff for their exemplary services: 1. Cady of the reception Cady was the same receptionist who checked us in during our two separate stays, on our way to Zhoushan and back from Zhoushan. She was very courteous and friendly. She offered to add me on her WeChat so that I could contact her if I needed anything. True enough, I needed to contact her within a few hours after we checked-in during our second stay. Smoke filled our room. When I found out that it came from the room next to ours, I immediately informed Cady, who immediately arranged for someone to spray air freshener in the corridor. She offered air filter, which I declined as we were already going out. As we walked down the lobby, I realized that Cady had actually left, and she was arranging all those even though she was already off duty! It was also Cady who informed me that GHA Discovery members would get dining discount by giving me a brochure. 2. Cora (陈丽) Cora was the wait staff attending our table at Madr 99. When I found out that I had run out of mobile data plan, I asked Cora for the passcode to logon to the hotel Wifi. Strangely, there's no option to logon with hotel room number. There were only 2 ways to logon to the hotel wifi: using a passcode and mobile number. Cora kindly offered to use her mobile number to help me logon. She didn't even ask me to use my own mobile number. It was very kind of her to do that. Upon paying the bill, I presented Cora with my GHA Discovery membership card. Cora provided me with 10% discount for silver member, exactly as stated in the brochure that Cady gave me. When we headed back to the serviced suites, another male wait staff chased us and rudely told me that GHA Discovery silver member was not entitled to any dining discount at all. He demanded me to go with him to the cashier to sign a new invoice. I later contacted Cady and asked her to verify with her manager the terms and conditions of dining discount for GHA Discovery member, before we went to Hai Tien Lo to dine in the evening. Cady, who was already at home and off duty, gladly obliged to my request, and confirmed that dining discount was applicable to even silver members. Perhaps hotel management could ask Cora to train the guy properly before allowing him to interact with guests directly! Otherwise, one day he might get punched by guests who are irritated by his behavior. 3. Cavan Cavan was the porter/concierge who helped us deliver our luggage to our room. He, too, was friendly and polite like Cady and Cora. He even walked us to Madr 99 and showed us where all the hotel restaurants were located. The way he treated us was like VVIP. The hotel management should treasure and try to retain these 3 excellent staff. Have these 3 experienced staff to train their junior colleagues.

Ningbo's navigation was also incredibly reliable, even underground: I walked straight from the train station to the hotel without taking a single unnecessary step. This morning, I simply strolled over to Tianyi Pavilion. The service exceeded all expectations, with complimentary cinnamon lattes in the lobby... I genuinely wish I could come back here on my return journey, even just to wait for my train.
