The location is excellent, right at the top of the main road, with little light pollution, very suitable for photographing the night sky.
The view is very positive, with the main peak of Kawagebo and the Thirteen Peaks in full view. In the morning, you can watch the sunrise on Jinshan Mountain directly from the balcony or observation deck.
The room facilities are complete, the air conditioner is relatively old, and the heating is average, but it does not affect sleep. The bathroom does have a slight odor, but it does not affect the room.
Overall, it is suitable for friends who have photography needs. The view from the observation deck on the fourth floor of the hotel is also very good, and I personally think it is better than the sixth floor.

The hotel is very nice. I took a check-in video and a drone view. It's very cool! It should be the only B&B here that uses tents.
There is a record player, humidifier, skirting board, and complete electrical appliances in the room; there is a snow-capped mountain outside the window, and the view can be used as a reference. This room is said to be the best room without a telephone pole blocking it. It is also the highest; there is a small balcony outside the door, and it is very comfortable for two people to sit and chat.
There are pomegranates, pears, coffee, and moon cakes, which are very nice. If you come early, there are also fascia gun quotas.
Butler Jay is the biggest highlight of the B&B. The breakfast is very rich, especially the fried eggs are super delicious. You won't regret ordering one more. He will introduce us to several route strategies and precautions. The breakfast cakes are all made by Jay himself. We had dinner at the B&B on the first night, and Jay completely retained the flavor of free-range chicken.
Customer service Dapao and Gousheng are both great and very active in business. It is recommended that the boss add cat strips.
The last point is that the hotel is in Shangyubeng. Everyone should pay attention to the location. We walked to Xiayubeng to enter and exit, and the pickup truck cost 100 yuan more.

I went to see the Meili Snow Mountain with my sisters and booked this B&B by chance. I have to say that the boss's service is very considerate and friendly.
Because I didn't make any travel plans in advance, after I arrived at the Shangri-La high-speed railway station, I found that it would take more than 3 hours to drive from the high-speed railway station to Feilai Temple. I called the owner of the B&B, and he immediately recommended a reliable carpooling driver to me, and I arrived at the B&B smoothly. When we came back from dinner, the boss called us over and gave us two cups of hot milk. On the return trip the next day, he personally helped us carry our luggage.
The location of the hotel is also good, you can see the snow-capped mountains on the 6th floorš
The room was tidy and clean, but the double room we booked did not have diffused oxygen supply. Friends should check and ask in advance when booking.
The overall stay experience is pretty good, we hope to meet again at āShenfeng Juyuanā!

If the weather is good, you can go to the Girl Goddess Peak in Meili Snow Mountain. The decoration in the public area is very designed, and you can view the Baima Snow Mountain, which is very spectacular.
There is a shuttle service to the observation deck in the morning, which is very considerate and the breakfast is delicious.

There are welcome drinks upon check-in, free snacks at the mini bar, afternoon tea every day (flower cakes, yak meat, etc.), and small sweet water in the evening. Very sincere.
The oxygen concentrator in the room relieved our altitude sickness very well, and the humidifier relieved the dryness very well.
The most attractive thing should be the public area on the fourth floor, where the Meili Snow Mountain can be seen at a glance when the weather is good. We didn't see it this time, but it was very quiet because there were few people.
There is a sense of service. Especially on the first day, I was in the hotel restaurant and felt very uncomfortable due to altitude sickness. I asked if there was any Coke. A very beautiful girl said that the restaurant did not sell it and was willing to help me buy it from the outside store. I ran back and forth, and refused to collect the money after buying it. Environment: The decoration style of the famous hostel is great, the whole floor-to-ceiling window of the room faces the Meili Thirteen Peaks, and there is a viewing platform on the fifth floor roof, the viewing experience is superb.
Service: The hotel's Xiao Zhaxi service is very good, driving to the entrance of Deqin Tunnel to pick us up and patiently explain to us. The hotel restaurant provides lunch and dinner ordering, the price is reasonable and the taste is good. The breakfast is rich and varied and delicious, and there are afternoon tea snacks at 3:30 in the afternoon.

This stay at Fenghui Hotel was a perfect experience. The room was well-arranged and reasonably furnished, the facilities were brand new and fully equipped, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, which made me sleep well all night. The staff was warm and thoughtful, from the patient and meticulous check-in to the caring care during the stay, which made people feel at home. The hotel restaurant has rich and delicious dishes, and the breakfast options are particularly diverse. The location is also very advantageous, with convenient transportation around and close to many attractions and shopping areas. Facilities: Very complete, with thoughtful supply packs prepared; the floor heating is sufficient, and the temperature difference between day and night is quite large, so floor heating is very important! Trekking poles and crampons can be borrowed~
Hygiene: Clean, the aunt cleaned every day for three days, and the public area was also clean

MmailcoThe hotel is in a good location. I originally wanted to stay in the first store, which is under renovation. There are many guests in the second store. Generally speaking, the service is quite different from that of Wunongding. A good luxury resort hotel depends on whether the staff treats guests from the heart. There is no refrigerator in the room. Although the drinks are placed in the public area, it always feels a bit strange. Most people who come to Yubeng come to hike. I heard the foot bath bucket from the table next to me when I was having dinner. I clearly told the housekeeper that I had walked for nine hours that day, but I didnāt see it mentioned. Of course, it was delivered quickly after I asked. The hotel provides cleaning and shoe brushing services, and provides a lot of hiking equipment rental.
The lack of service lies in how to serve guests at this price, whether the smile is from the heart, and whether to think about the problem from the customer's perspective.
During the meal in the restaurant, the guests at the next table wanted to add a dish of hot sauce. The waiter directly replied that the kitchen was off work. There was no way. I was stunned. As long as the guests are still in the restaurant, they donāt have to cook a new dish. Praise the service staff of the bar on the third floor, they are still very enthusiastic. I really recommend learning about the service of the company. Design and hardware are important, but service is the real soft power. It is irreplaceable.

GGuest UserSince only the most expensive room types were left in Xiashan and Bodu, I couldn't make up my mind so I chose Guanyun. In fact, it was enough. The location and scenery were similar, so there was no need to pursue luxury here. The homestay was warmly decorated, clean and sanitary, and the service was thoughtful. The oxygen supply, floor heating, and projection facilities were all very useful. The rooftop terrace was beautiful to see the snow-capped mountains and the stars.
The floating bathtub in our room was very unique, and the children liked the small tea break area very much. However, from the perspective of viewing, the balcony room would be better, because the glass was very steamy in the morning and it was difficult to see clearly.
The stir-fried dishes for dinner were not bad and the price was affordable. The breakfast was just beautiful for taking pictures. A pretty good red wine was given when checking in, and tea from their own tea house was given before leaving. The overall experience was very good.

GGlobetrotter & HikerWe highly recommend staying in Yolo Guesthouse if you are staying overnight at Upper Yubeng Village. The owner and staff of the guesthouse was very friendly, helpful and informative throughout our stay.
We connected through WeChat prior to arrival and liaised with the guesthouse for transport from Lower Yubeng to upper Yubeng. The transport was included in the reservation. On arrival in the afternoon, the staff introduced and escorted us to a nearby restaurant for lunch even though it was drizzling.
The guesthouse is strategically located to have views of the valley downstream and upstream. The building structure is sturdy and well designed compared to many other accommodations in the villages. The interior of the room and the rooftop coffee bar is beautifully designed and clean. They also have Dyson hairdryer and Smeg electric kettle. Coffee at the rooftop bar was decent but it was accompanied by amazing views of the valley. We were the only ones at the rooftop bar after check in and we also had their in-house hotpot at night which we enjoyed.
Prior to departing for our day hike (Glacier lake from Upper Yubeng Village) the next day, the guesthouse even provided hiking poles, crampons, bottled water, Red Bull canned drinks and a homely ham and egg sandwich. We were also allowed to leave our bags stored with them as we had to check out in the late afternoon after returning from the hike. After checkout, the guesthouse also helped to call a vehicle to transport us down to lower Yubeng village.
We wished we had stayed here longer throughout our trip to Yubeng. We felt very welcomed and had a memorable stay. Thank you so much!

[The first good review is for the beautiful and gentle hotel housekeeper] From the moment we checked in, the hotel housekeeper (should be the hotel housekeeper hehe) received us very warmly and introduced the hotel facilities to us in detail. Knowing that we would return to the hotel after five o'clock, she turned on the floor heating for us in advance and pushed us a guide to play; at night, when she heard us singing the birthday song in the room, the lady brought us Coke, which was touching ā¤ļø; the next day, the lady asked me in advance when I would leave and gave each of us a lucky knot.
[The second good review is for the hotel] In the winter of Yubeng, it is a very happy thing to live in a hotel with sufficient heating and excellent views. The hotel has sufficient floor heating, electric blankets, and complete warm air facilities in the bathroom. In addition, there is a shoe dryer, and the hotel also provides free foot soaking service. The window of our room faces the snow-capped mountains. At night, we curl up in bed and watch movies. In the morning, we wake up under the snow-capped mountains and are awakened by the snow-capped mountains. Downstairs of the hotel is the grassy plain of Yubeng. Watching the sun slanting and the vast smoke of mulberry trees, all of this will become a beautiful memory of our lives.

Overall: The inn is nice and confortable but the service is terrible. Service made us feel very unwelcome and ruined the experience.
Room: humble but comfortable room. You can ask for a heater, which is very needed in the winter months (we stayed here in late November). Be aware that some rooms are marked as āMountain Viewā but in fact youāre in a covered area so wonāt really have a view (pictures attached) - we booked one of these rooms but since it was low season we were lucky to get a free upgrade and get one of the few rooms with a nice view.
Cleanliness: the rooms are relatively clean, but we had a mouldy shower curtain (see pictures).
Amenities: the restaurant / front desk area is very nice and cosy.
Service: terrible! Every time we needed their assistance it felt as if we were disturbing them from sitting by the fire (even though they barely had any customers and it seemed as if they were not busy at all). We are international travelerās that donāt speak Chinese and the service was unhelpful and not welcoming. Weāve had no issues anywhere else in our trip in China, this was definitely the worst we have experienced. After reading other reviews it seems that the boss is very helpful, but he wasnāt there when we stayed at the inn and it appears that the workers donāt do a good job when he is not around. The workers didnāt advise us that we needed crampons for one of the hikes we did (hikers from other inns told us that these were a must) so we had to reluctantly stay one more night to complete the hike.
When we booked another night, one service member told us a price and another service person told us a different (lower, almost 100cny lower) price. We were then charged the first (higher) price, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. The day after when we tried to rent crampons from the inn the lady told us that it was 20 cny to rent per day, and that in other places it was 40 cny per day. We decided not to rent them because they looked in very bad condition. We later found out that you can buy them brand new at āmeets meili snow mountainā for 35cny and use them for the 2 hikes. We also had to rent hiking poles even though they provide them for free at the hotel given that the ones they had didnāt look in good condition and werenāt tall enough for us (the lady at the desk got frustrated with us because of this).
Overall, very unhelpful, impatient service - we felt extremely uncomfortable because of it. If youāre an international traveller and donāt speak much Chinese stay away!!
Food: was good but small portions compared to other places. We ended up eating most of our meals elsewhere because the service made us feel very unwelcome. Limited breakfast options, thereās many more options at āmeets meili snow mountainā.

Qqi xiang kwangYou can see that it is an old hotel and can't really compare with other 5 star hotels on many aspects. But it is probably understandable considering the very remote location. Nevertheless, we were extremely satisfied with their service, especially from Ms Angel. Firstly, they gave us a free room upgrade and even decorated our room nicely after knowing that we were on our honeymoon. Angel also contacted us beforehand to make sure everything was ok, she was so friendly and helpful throughout, and when we were leaving, she even went out of her way to make multiple phone calls to make sure our bus seats back to Shangri-la was secured. Would highly recommend for the hospitality alone.

The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are excellent, and the view from the windows of the mountains is fantastic. The Hotel also has a viewing area (and a bar) on the roof, providing the best sunrise view of the entire region's mountains. The restaurant has a great menu and excellent food; it is the best restaurant in the area. Finally, the staff Wenwen and others are wonderful, friendly and helpful. GGuest UserThis hotel offers a great location to view the Meili Snow Mountains during the morning golden peak and also sunset (if you're lucky with the weather conditions). It is right next to the bus stop, which means it is very convenient if you are planning to catch an early morning bus (in our case). Rooms can be a bit pricey, but we know that we are essentially paying for the view. The food at the hotel is also tasty, I didn't need to go and look anywhere else for dinner and breakfast. I appreciated the great help that was provided by a staff named Xiao Wei. We arrived at the hotel when it was raining and wasn't expecting to see any mountain range in sight, but then the sky suddenly cleared up during the evening just shortly before sunset whilst we were having dinner and Xiao Wei came over to tell us to go and have a look at the snow mountain, which made our hearts rushed with joy. We also appreciated when Xiao Wei told us again during night time that the mountain range was visible so we quickly opened the curtain to treat ourselves with another fantastic view. The viewing platform on the top floor is a great location to see the sunrise and golden peak. I personally think it's even better viewing at the Feilai Temple platform that most tourists go to. On a final note, Xiao Wei again was very kind to help us by going to the bus platform at 8.30 AM in the morning to help us purchase the bus tickets from the driver (we couldn't do so as wechat pay didn't work for us).
We were very happy with our stay here and got very lucky with some of the best views during our entire Yunnan trip. Thank you very much to Xiao Wei and the staff at Once Upon A Time in Meili :)

GGuest UserThere are snow-capped mountains on three sides, the White Horse Snow Mountain on the left, the Goddess Peak and the Five Crowns Peak facing each other, and the General Peak and Kawagebo's head on the right. It should be the best location in the whole Yubeng. The overall view is very clean, and the only regret is that the wooden structure is not soundproof.
