"We arrived in the evening and had dinner in the guesthouse's restaurant. The owner treated us to a delicious local wine. Our room offered a direct view of the snow-capped mountains, unlike the view at Feilai Temple, where the peaks were much closer. The next day, at sunrise, we could watch the sun set over the Golden Mountain from our room. There's also a viewing platform on the first floor, offering unobstructed views of the stars and the snow-capped mountains. The owner warmly invited us to dinner at her sister's home. The cooking was excellent and delicious! It also allowed us to experience ******* culture. The owner's daughter was adorable, not shy at all, and constantly entertained us. It snowed heavily the day we left, but thanks to the owner's guidance on a safe route, we arrived safely in Shangri-La. If I ever visit Meili Snow Mountain again, I'll definitely stay at this hotel."

"The boss was very enthusiastic. On the first day when I took a pickup truck into the village, my hat fell on the truck. Although it was an ordinary peaked cap, it was a gift my nephew saved money to buy me. It was still very important to me. The boss asked several times to help me find the hat. I am really grateful. On the first day, he explained various precautions, lent us a pair of trekking poles, and introduced us to restaurants and coffee shops. After hiking back, we went to the front desk to drink tea and chat. The memories are very good. The room is on the mountain, the scenery is quite good, and all the equipment and supplies you can think of are available. I stayed for two nights. The only regret was that it was foggy and I didnât see the sunrise on Jinshan Mountain. On the last day, I walked down the mountain with the boss and chatted all the way. I hope to meet again."

"A very nice ******* homestay, overall quite good, easy to find the location. It snowed on the second day of my stay. The floor heating in the room was very warm, and there was an electric blanket on the bed. It was not cold at all in the snow. I stayed there for 3 consecutive days. The weather was bad, and I kept waiting to see the sunrise on the Golden Mountain. Parking was also very convenient, the small courtyard was very beautiful, the bathroom was also wide, and the water pressure was also very strong. Living halfway up the mountain, it was very quiet, and the scenery was particularly beautiful when walking up. It was also quite close to the scenic spot, supermarket, and market, less than 10 minutes by car. It is worth mentioning that the ******* boss was very enthusiastic. I called him late at night or early in the morning to ask about something, and he answered very enthusiastically. I will stay here again next time."

"In order to keep an appointment with the snow-capped mountains, we set off from Feilai Temple and headed for Wunongding. While searching, we encountered Xueshan Qiannuo Hotel, a fairyland hidden in a secret place, just a five-minute walk from the popular check-in spot âOne Treeâ.
The moment we opened the door of the guest room, the majestic Meili Snow Mountain came into view without reservation, and the fatigue of running all the way was instantly cured. Move to the coffee shop on the fifth floor, the hotel's carefully prepared afternoon tea is ready, and the excellent view will take in the magnificent scenery of the snow-capped mountains. Every shot is a blockbuster, as if you have strayed into a dreamy fairy tale world.
What's more surprising is that the guest room is equipped with a diffuse oxygen supply system, which completely eliminates the concerns about altitude sickness; the toiletries are made of the Bairuide brand, and the washing time has become a luxurious enjoyment. "Before my trip, I'd compared numerous hotels in Feilai Temple and was quite indecisive until I stumbled upon 'Shiqi' â I was instantly captivated!
The day before check-in, the hotel staff proactively reached out to thoughtfully confirm my itinerary and arranged convenient pick-up and drop-off services. The hotel's location is superb, directly facing the Feilai Temple viewing platform. There's no need to even step outside; I could simply relax on my room's balcony and take in the panoramic views of Meili Snow Mountain.
The drinks and coffee at the fourth-floor cafe were outstanding. I enjoyed a complimentary afternoon tea on the day I checked in, and I even made a point to go back for a cup of coffee before leaving on my second day. The first-floor restaurant also deserves high praise. The breakfast rice noodles were incredibly delicious â so much so that I decided to have lunch at the hotel too. The variety of dishes was extensive, and the flavors were authentic. I regretted having gone out to eat the previous evening; I honestly could have eaten every single meal here."

"A new hotel in Wunongding, opened in 2025. I've stayed at other hotels in Dalezhiye before (in Qiandao Lake and Zhongwei), but I was a bit disappointed with the Dalezhiye in Wunongding.
The hotel is in a good location, about a two-minute walk from the Wunongding Observation Deck. The interior design is nice, and the rooms are clean, but there are a few shortcomings. First, the elevator was broken on check-in day. My room was on the second floor, so I had to walk up. The observation deck and rest area are both on the fourth floor. Because of the altitude, the walk up and down was a bit breathless. They said it would be repaired that evening, but it wasn't. Second, there's a construction site and a large tree right in front of the hotel, which obstructs the view of the snow-capped mountains from the hotel, slightly imperfecting the view. Third, as a new hotel opened in 2025, the rooms inevitably have a slightly renovated feel. Fourth, the laundry service was a bit chaotic. I was given two bags of laundry, but only one was returned. I only found the second bag after reporting it. Furthermore, the laundry was stuffed directly into the bag, leaving my T-shirts and shirts very wrinkled. In fact, the overall stay was okay, all the necessary services were provided, and the service attitude was also good, but some details were not handled well, which detracted from the impression. I hope that it can be improved in the future."

"The room is very big, the price for May Day is really great! The front desk lady and brother are very nice! Breakfast is ok! The facilities in the room are also very special, with oxygen machines, water dispensers, etc.

It seems that public transportation is not very convenient. However, it is very close to the snow-capped mountains and the scenery is invincible. There is nothing to visit nearby at night. There are not many people and no open places. It is still very cold. The observation deck on the fifth floor has an invincible view and the environment is superb. It is just because there is nowhere to go at night. It is recommended that the bar on the fifth floor be open a little longer. The drinks are also delicious. If it is not closed at 10 o'clock, I would like to order a few more. I was not very lucky. It was foggy when I woke up in the morning and I didn't see the sunrise over Jinshan. The bed is a little short, and tall people will have their feet exposed when they sleep.

We had a very wonderful stay at this hotel. As soon as we arrived, the owner and his family welcomed us warmly with fruits and snacks. They were very friendly and welcoming.
When we first arrived, we did not have a car to get around, and the owner was very helpful and took us to some places in Benzilan Village, including a temple. He also recommended a local restaurant for dinner, which was very delicious.
The hotel room was very spacious, clean, well-equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated. In the morning, the owner prepared a hearty and delicious breakfast for us.
The next day we wanted to visit Dongzhulin Temple, and the owner very kindly offered to take us there. He also took the initiative to take us to another very interesting viewpoint from which you can see a big bend in the Yangtze River.
All in all, it was a very good stay. The hotel is of high quality, and the owner and his family are very hospitable. We also had a beer with him in the evening with a delicious plate of fruit.

Meili Snow Mountain was the final stop on our Yunnan itinerary. I was quite hesitant because it's notoriously difficult to see the snow peaks, let alone the spectacular 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise,' during the rainy season. However, after stumbling upon an introduction to BoDu, I was completely captivated. So, I decided to take a chance and hoped for the best.
The incredibly friendly staff, the understated yet luxurious design, the ingenious layout offering stunning mountain views from every corner, the comfortable rooms, and the thoughtful amenities â everything was just perfect. Even more incredibly, we not only witnessed the majestic Thirteen Peaks of Meili but also experienced the long-anticipated 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise.' It truly felt like destiny! đ

AAnonymous UserI rarely write a review on my own accord but I'm reviewing on the bus back because I was quite impressed with this hotel.
The staff was very kind to offer free cancellation for the next day when i reached out via wechat and told him i was a little unwell and may not be able to stay, even though it wasn't free cancellation by default.
I recovered the next day and decided to still book a night with them. When I reached, the staff offered a free upgrade (same room style but with a bathtub and 1 level higher than what I paid for). They will pick you up and drop you off at the bus pickup point which is otherwise at least 6 mins walk away from hotel. There are lots of young staff working and everyone is polite.
The dinner in the restaurant is a little expensive but decent (we are 2 small eater so we went for the 198yuan 1-person set - the tomyam soup was good!).
There is a small fireworks show at 7.40pm everyday. There are 3 cute dogs in the hotel. The breakfast is a good spread and the afternoon tea was decent too.
When you're here, remember to walk the left of feilaisi observation deck towards all the colourful flags. Just 2 minutes walk and you will get really nice photo of the ç„ć„łćł° which i shared here. Many people do not know of this spot. Put 3ć·è§æŻć° in your GPS which is a further 15 mins walk and you get a really good photo of the main peak.
It is extremely important to use moutain forecast to check the weather at 3000m and only come here when it's not cloudy. Our forecast the next morning was âsome cloudsâ and it's good enough -saw a little bit of æ„ç
§éć±± but indeed the sky was generally clear like the forecast. You can see sunrise at level 5 observation deck of the hotel and do not need to squeeze with the crowd at feilaisi è§æŻć°.
For comparison purpose I attach a photo on a ârain showersâ forecast which is my day of arrival and you really cannot see much. So you must check the forecast before coming.
Even though the hotel is a little expensive (I paid sgd171), I think the awesome location, decent hotel condition and all the freebies and good service made up for it.

CCathytanThe hotel occupies a prime location on Wunongding, directly opposite the Meili Thirteen Peaks. From the room balcony, you can see the snow-capped mountains.
The hotel attendant was waiting at the door early to carry my luggage to the room. When he learned I was from Shanghai, he turned on the oxygen concentrator and humidifier, and reminded me to open the window. If I felt cold, there was underfloor heating. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water.
The restaurant's food was delicious, home-style, and every dish was excellent.
Across the street is Yexu, a popular online restaurant, which I also visited. The food is quite unique.
I highly recommend Fansu. They arranged everything from food, accommodation, and transportation perfectly, and were responsive to every request. Their service was truly attentive.

The hotel's location is simply unbeatable! My room had a direct, unobstructed view of the snow-capped mountains. Every morning, pulling back the curtains, I was greeted by the breathtaking spectacle of the 'Golden Mountain' â the peaks glowing golden under the rising sun. Being able to witness the mountains change from the soft hues of dawn to the deep colors of dusk right from my bed â this experience is truly beyond words; it's something you simply have to experience to truly understand!
I hope to return again someday to experience the tranquility and warmth at the foot of the sacred mountains once more!

Let me start with the environment. The cabin has a skylight. Lying in bed at night and watching the stars is so romantic that it satisfies my childhood fantasy. You can see the Goddess Peak of Meili Snow Mountain from the courtyard. You can watch the stars in the courtyard at night.
Let's talk about the sanitation and facilities. It is very clean, the whole house is smart, and the facilities are very new.
Finally, the service is very enthusiastic. The eldest brother doesn't talk much, but he always responds to requests; the eldest sister loves to chat, very enthusiastic, and makes people feel particularly kind; the younger sister is also very thoughtful, and she recommends routes and sunrise times without getting tired of it.
Next time I come to see the snow mountain, I will definitely come to this B&B again.

QqnrichUpon arrival, a friendly staff member immediately helped us with our luggage. She was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions, and personally showed us to our room. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. She also took the time to thoroughly explain how to use the in-room oxygen system. We had a really great experience. While breakfast was a set meal, it was simple yet nutritious. The hotel is also conveniently located quite close to the viewing platform.

Overall: The inn is nice and confortable but the service is terrible. Service made us feel very unwelcome and ruined the experience.
Room: humble but comfortable room. You can ask for a heater, which is very needed in the winter months (we stayed here in late November). Be aware that some rooms are marked as âMountain Viewâ but in fact youâre in a covered area so wonât really have a view (pictures attached) - we booked one of these rooms but since it was low season we were lucky to get a free upgrade and get one of the few rooms with a nice view.
Cleanliness: the rooms are relatively clean, but we had a mouldy shower curtain (see pictures).
Amenities: the restaurant / front desk area is very nice and cosy.
Service: terrible! Every time we needed their assistance it felt as if we were disturbing them from sitting by the fire (even though they barely had any customers and it seemed as if they were not busy at all). We are international travelerâs that donât speak Chinese and the service was unhelpful and not welcoming. Weâve had no issues anywhere else in our trip in China, this was definitely the worst we have experienced. After reading other reviews it seems that the boss is very helpful, but he wasnât there when we stayed at the inn and it appears that the workers donât do a good job when he is not around. The workers didnât advise us that we needed crampons for one of the hikes we did (hikers from other inns told us that these were a must) so we had to reluctantly stay one more night to complete the hike.
When we booked another night, one service member told us a price and another service person told us a different (lower, almost 100cny lower) price. We were then charged the first (higher) price, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. The day after when we tried to rent crampons from the inn the lady told us that it was 20 cny to rent per day, and that in other places it was 40 cny per day. We decided not to rent them because they looked in very bad condition. We later found out that you can buy them brand new at âmeets meili snow mountainâ for 35cny and use them for the 2 hikes. We also had to rent hiking poles even though they provide them for free at the hotel given that the ones they had didnât look in good condition and werenât tall enough for us (the lady at the desk got frustrated with us because of this).
Overall, very unhelpful, impatient service - we felt extremely uncomfortable because of it. If youâre an international traveller and donât speak much Chinese stay away!!
Food: was good but small portions compared to other places. We ended up eating most of our meals elsewhere because the service made us feel very unwelcome. Limited breakfast options, thereâs many more options at âmeets meili snow mountainâ.

Doodoo the dog is the sweetest and felt like a home stay, super quiet and calm! Comfy beds with electric blanket and clean room.
Cons:
The shared toilets,sink shower are outside, which is not ideal in cold November.
First day the woman working was so helpful and accommodating, helped me wash clothes, made food and answered questions. The second day was a different woman, who would not use a translation app to answer questions which made things difficult. Would not make a hot drink in the cafe for me and wouldnât explain why and wasnât much help on transport questions because she wouldnât translate her answers. Unfortunately it stands out because 99% of people in china help you! I went to a different cafe down the road where people were immediately so helpful.
