The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude.
The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening.
Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!"

The owner was friendly and even gave us a starfruit, suggesting it would help with motion sickness on the road. It truly became a cherished item we couldn't bear to eat for the next few days! Just a couple of suggestions: I'd recommend adding a curtain to the bathroom door for more privacy, and the breakfast service could use some improvement. Other than that, everything was great!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were very kind—they gave us helpful route suggestions for hiking and even let us use their washer and dryer for free. They also provided walking sticks, which came in handy.
The hot water was reliable (a big plus, especially during the rainy season), and the room was comfortable. The view of the mountains was amazing, and to top it off, they have a super cute and friendly dog who made the stay even better.
Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting the area!"

"Our room was impeccably clean, and the owner generously upgraded our room free of charge. All the in-room amenities were thoughtfully provided and fully stocked. The breakfast rice noodles were incredibly delicious. The owner even helped us carry our luggage downstairs. Our overall experience was excellent, and I highly recommend staying here. Plus, it's very conveniently located near the Meili Snow Mountain 'Golden Summit in Sunlight' viewing platform."

"The room is very big, the price for May Day is really great! The front desk lady and brother are very nice! Breakfast is ok! The facilities in the room are also very special, with oxygen machines, water dispensers, etc.
🍎 Let's talk about other things. It's on a bar street, so the business is not noisy. But there will be vehicles on the road starting at 6 o'clock, which is a bit noisy. (I originally bought a bus to Yubeng, but I didn't find the Feilaisi bus stop on the app. I returned it and shared a car. I woke up the next day and found that it was just opposite the hotel)
🍏 Let me say something that I mind a little. The central air conditioner cannot adjust the temperature! ! ! It's too buggy. I woke up at 2 o'clock in the middle of the night because of the heat and turned off the air conditioner. I got up at 6 o'clock and was frozen to death😅"

During my stay, we experienced unstable voltage, but the hotel's handling of the situation was exemplary! From the speed of response and efficiency in resolving the issue to the sincere communication, everything was impeccable. Minor imperfections in the facilities are inevitable, but such attentive and considerate service is rare. Kudos to their professionalism and sincerity! (The unstable voltage caused elevator malfunctions, and the staff proactively helped everyone in each room with their luggage.)"

Hua Zong specially arranged a special car to welcome us to the store, and carefully prepared breakfast, road meals and dinner, which were convenient and delicious. He also prepared hiking poles, crampons, etc., which came in handy when hiking on the ice lake line👍👍

Aawan27From the moment I planned this trip, I had a feeling it would be a very special New Year's Eve, but I never imagined it would be so wonderful and perfect. I saw the snow-capped mountains, exceptionally white after a fresh snowfall, the mountains glowing in the night under a silver moon, and on the first day of 2026, the mountains gradually turning red with the sunrise and then shimmering with golden light. Every form of the snow-capped mountains was just breathtaking. But beyond the mountains, what made this trip so wonderful was every cup of ginger tea brought to us, the documentaries screened each evening, the names and origins of each star in the night sky, the New Year's Eve fireworks, the butter lamps we made, every photo taken for us, and the waiting, pick-up, and companionship from our arrival to our departure. A huge thank you to every member of the Jixia Mountain team for taking such great care of us. These two days were incredibly memorable and blissful. I will definitely be back again in the future.

This hotel falls into the former category—it's exceptionally, exceptionally good. The views go without saying, there are tons of pictures online. The photos below were all taken from the hotel's rooftop. What I really want to praise is the hotel's service. When I was suffering from severe altitude sickness, a lady from the hotel proactively drove me to the hospital. She waited for us throughout the check-up and then drove us back. All subsequent services during our stay were also excellent. Knowing I had altitude sickness, they provided an extra oxygen concentrator when the central oxygen supply wasn't available, and their concentrator was much better. The night before, I also experienced altitude sickness in Shangri-La, but the oxygen concentrator at the Shangri-La hotel was very ineffective; even with the nasal cannula, it didn't help much. The oxygen concentrator at Waking Up to Snow Mountain, however, as soon as it was turned on, I could clearly feel the oxygen flow and concentration were much better than at the Shangri-La hotel. In short, I'm truly grateful to the staff; thanks to them, I was able to endure and successfully see the 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' before descending. Originally, I had booked the 'Guijing Tiantang' (Viewing Paradise), but since it's on a hillside, I was worried about not being able to climb due to altitude sickness. So, after much consideration, I chose Waking Up to Snow Mountain. Now, I'm incredibly glad I made that decision because due to altitude sickness, I didn't even have the strength to walk from Waking Up to Snow Mountain to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. All the sights I saw were from my room and the hotel rooftop. I also ate at the hotel's own restaurant, and the dishes we ordered were all delicious. I hope everyone can avoid altitude sickness and enjoy the 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' in good health and happiness!

Located right in the heart of Wunongding, perfectly positioned away from the main viewing platform, the entire building and room design are centered around the snow-capped mountains. The snow mountain view room type is essentially a floor-to-ceiling glass wall with Meili Snow Mountain as the painting. Many thoughtful details like the balcony ventilation window, tripod, wool shawl, sweet night soup, face mask, and eye mask are incredibly considerate for tourists chasing the 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight' during winter on the plateau.
Whether lying in bed, standing on the balcony, or at breakfast, you're directly facing Meili.
The service details were unexpectedly impressive: a ventilation window is cleverly designed into the balcony corner, and the young lady introducing the room specifically opened it for us, which made sleeping much more comfortable on the plateau nights. When I messaged the WeChat concierge to ask the staff to clear the afternoon tea dishes, I returned to find the entire room had been re-cleaned. At dinner, I couldn't finish the set meal and said not to bring the main course to avoid waste; the waiter proactively deducted the price difference. Upon check-out, I mentioned missing out on the ******* incense bag experience the night before, and to my surprise, a beautiful lady immediately rushed to make two for us, bringing them to our hands just before we set off in our car.
Seeing the 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight' for two consecutive days was already a huge stroke of luck, and Bodu made this trip even more perfect!

I could even watch the sunrise illuminate the golden peaks right from the hotel's rooftop in the mornings. The weather was fantastic for two consecutive days, so I got to see it both times.
The hotel provided shuttle service to and from the tunnel entrance when arriving and departing by bus, which was excellent service. The yak hotpot at the restaurant was very generous in portion, and the barley cake was delicious.
Overall, I was extremely happy and highly recommend it!

ZZhixiao-The room was fantastic, with a balcony directly overlooking the snow-capped mountains. They thoughtfully provided two foot bath tubs. We were quite tired upon arrival at the village, and soaking our feet completely refreshed us, making us ready to head straight to the glacial lake the very next day – what a thoughtful touch! The chicken soup noodles were delicious, and the packed lunch they provided for our journey was great too. The resident cat was adorable!

AAnonymous UserThey say you might not see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” in October, so I booked this place to avoid wasting money on a view that might not deliver. Turns out, we actually saw it! Super worth it!! The location is right next to where the bus drops you off, so it's a very easy walk, and close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the underfloor heating worked perfectly. There are only four or five rooms, and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is very simple and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this for anyone hoping to catch the Golden Mountain but worried about a wasted 4-hour drive if they miss it. The accommodation quality is easily more than triple that of other scenic hotels at the same price point, and the courtyard itself can help ease any disappointment if you don't see the sunrise.
Let's talk about the downsides:
1. Feilai Temple is currently under construction, so there are large vehicles at night. I personally wasn't bothered by the noise, but I can't guarantee others wouldn't be. This seems to be a common issue for hotels along this road.
2. The room was very clean and tidy, but I wasn't a fan of the air freshener scent. My partner didn't notice it, though.
3. There were some really large flies. I hope the owner can improve pest control. Although they'll probably freeze to death in a few days, seeing them definitely puts a damper on the mood.

KKapil KaneThis is my second time staying here. First with family and this time, alone. Rooms are very clean, has great big bathroom with hot water. They have heated blankets and an electric heater to keep you warm.
Lady who runs the place is also nice. She is very chilled. The dog Dou Dou is also very cool.
And the best part about this hotel is the sunrise you get to see right from your room.

The complimentary glucose, the evaporative humidifier (rather than ultrasonic), the motion-sensor lights upon entering, and even the lights leading up to the rooftop all showcase the owner's meticulous attention to detail and genuine care. The scenery and indoor photos are exactly as depicted, with no misleading 'photo trickery.' This is undoubtedly a place I'd return to and highly recommend to friends. A huge thank you to the owner, I look forward to my next stay!
