AAnonymous UserThe hotel was very clean, and the dedicated shuttle service made check-in super convenient. They even prepared an afternoon tea set. Both the room and the rooftop cafe offered fantastic views, and my friends were all very happy with it. The breakfast and the small cakes were delicious too. The room facilities were all smart-enabled. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.

Hua Zong specially arranged a special car to welcome us to the store, and carefully prepared breakfast, road meals and dinner, which were convenient and delicious. He also prepared hiking poles, crampons, etc., which came in handy when hiking on the ice lake line👍👍

GGuest UserI booked this hotel without knowing that it is known for and it was a good surprise from almost every perspective of my experience. The staff in Sunyata are very friendly, well presented and treated us with their trained professionalism as well as friendliness. Both the hotel and room interior are designed thoughtfully and by later reading the magazine that was left in the room I realised that it was meant to be a masterpiece which I think is what has been achieved with no efforts spared. The top floor enjoying a 270 degree unobstructed view of the snow mountains obviously is the cherry on the top of the cake, and it absolutely delivered and truly made the stay in the hotel one of the most unforgettable experience in Meili. The amenities are nicely provided in good quality, and the beddings feel comfortable and clean. The food we had in the attached restaurant was delicious and the interior is also a masterpiece 24 hours in a day. The only shortcoming that I can say about my experience is that the food in the self served area for the breakfast became empty with still about one hour to go, and staff seemed unbothered or even intended to do so. Overall it is a beautiful boutique hotel which was beautifully designed and operated with a high standard. I would like to revisit if I can.

The room amenities are incredibly comprehensive – earplugs, face masks, even things you wouldn't expect, they've got them ready! There are tons of activities at the hotel, so kids always have something to do and never get bored. Plus, you can eat from morning till night, with so much food available! 😂 All in all, it's a great guesthouse in every aspect and definitely worth recommending!

The rooms are spacious, and the high-quality amenities like the Dyson hairdryer and Marshall speaker really show attention to detail. The 4th-floor terrace offers great views, saving time and effort for catching the sunrise over the snow-capped mountains. A big shout-out to the hotel's service! Staff contacted me the day before to confirm check-in details, and they provided complimentary tea, sweet soup, and oxygen packs. Breakfast is served until 1 PM. Most importantly, the staff was always quick to respond to any issues, which was a huge comfort when staying at high altitude!

LLLLjiushiLLLThis guesthouse is relatively new with excellent facilities and a prime location. You can see the famous 'Golden Mountain of Meili Snow Mountain' right from the rooftop, which is a fantastic sight, especially in winter when the probability of seeing it is very high! It's about a 1.5-hour car ride from Shangri-La to Feilai Temple Guesthouse. After getting off in Feilai Temple, it's at least a 15-minute walk to the guesthouse, as I tend to walk slower at high altitudes. The staff here are very welcoming; they even gave me a small gift at check-out. They also offer sweet soup in an insulated container in the evenings. The guesthouse has an elevator, which is a plus. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, it's well-balanced with both Chinese and Western options. The rooms are equipped with oxygen machines, which is really thoughtful for first-time visitors to high-altitude areas.

I'm so glad I booked a room with a snow view at this hotel. It was a very cost-effective choice for a solo traveler. When it's time to enjoy life, you should go for it; you only live once. Let this brief freedom be a seasoning for an ordinary life, giving yourself the courage for a better one.
The hotel service was excellent; everyone was very attentive to me since I was traveling alone, and they even gave me a small ornament when I left. The room was spacious and elegant, very comfortable to stay in. The diffused oxygen supply also worked well, although I tend to get nervous easily and still went to the hospital to breathe some oxygen for a while. Actually, there's no need to be too afraid of altitude sickness; most symptoms can be relieved at the hospital. Most importantly, the hotel's 5th-floor observation deck is fantastic. You don't need to crowd with people at the Wunongding viewpoint. I left my camera at the hotel to shoot a time-lapse and went to take some portraits. Plus, watching the starry sky and waiting for the sunrise with friends from all corners of the world at the hotel was truly a romantic experience.
Finally, regarding the mountain views, this was a completely successful trip. From sunset to high noon, I was honored to witness the diverse charm of Meili Snow Mountain. On the first evening, as the vehicle drove out of National Highway 214, I caught sight of the thirteen peaks of Meili. Clouds drifted slowly, and the sun gradually set. Soon after, the Milky Way hung low above Mt. Miancimu, and Comet Lemmon descended towards Mt. Bawu Bameng, creating a starry night. Under the stars, the Winter Triangle appeared even more captivating, adorned with the Taurus meteor shower, making the night sky seem like a dream. As night deepened and the moon rose, the crescent moon stubbornly illuminated the snow-capped mountains, casting a faint pearly white glow. Until dawn, the sky transformed from blue to pink, heralding the arrival of a new day. At daybreak, the first ray of sunlight illuminated the peak of Kawagarbo, and the legendary 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' passionately displayed Meili's grandeur. Once the golden light covered all thirteen peaks, the contours of the snow mountain were clearly outlined, and the most beautiful snow mountain finally revealed its perfect form. The mountain doesn't speak, but people have wishes; Meili just stands quietly, inspiring endless imagination. After the crowds receded, the snow mountain returned to its pristine white, and strolling through Wunongding, watching the mountains, listening to the wind, and playing with cats, offered another kind of pleasure.
People say that seeing the 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' brings good luck for the whole year. A year is too long; I only know that at this moment, I have captured the happiness of life.

GGuest UserThe hotel's hardware, design, and the taste of the art installations are all top-tier, easily comparable to luxury hotels in Japan and definitely among the best in Asia.
The management team, especially the managers, showed high emotional intelligence and thoughtfulness towards guests. For example, they advised me against ordering too much since I was dining alone, but then generously offered a small portion of the yak hotpot I wanted to try. They work incredibly hard and are very busy.
Perhaps it's difficult to recruit staff at this location, as it felt like there weren't enough team members, and their enthusiasm wasn't fully mobilized yet. The service team's managers really bear a heavy burden.
The hotel's afternoon tea was exquisite, and the tea cakes provided in the room were absolutely superb (as a tea lover, I was thoroughly impressed).

You can see the golden mountain in the sun from the room, especially the terrace on the third floor which is particularly photogenic against the backdrop of the Meili Snow Mountain. The hotel service is also in place and is worth recommending.

GGuest UserWe've been blessed with fantastic weather every single day since we arrived. The guesthouse owner's little dog seems to be Paopao, the internet-famous dog; she even led the way for us and is incredibly perceptive! What's more, in Yubeng, a place I've always longed to visit, I managed to capture some truly once-in-a-lifetime photos! The 12-bed dorm room was very spacious. With fewer guests these past few days, our stay was incredibly comfortable. From the room, you get a direct view of the snow-capped mountains, and it's also conveniently close to the Ice Lake trailhead. I'll definitely bring my friends back to stay here next time!
