Best view is go out to the cafe facing the lake. Breakfast simple but only start at 8.30am which is late if you want to start out early. Nice that they have tub for foot bath. Bad is that water is limited to 2 bottles only. Must pay RMB 5 for 1 bottle. All other minsu I stayed in China provides unlimited water. The hot water tank they provide has a funny taste. "We were incredibly lucky to witness the 'Rizhao Jinshan' phenomenon (golden mountain bathed in sunlight)! The hotel's views are absolutely stunning (just ignore that big crane, haha). You get an unobstructed panorama of all thirteen Meili Snow Mountains. The owner was super enthusiastic; as soon as we arrived, he warmly explained the best ways to view the mountains. After showing us to our room, he even turned on the humidifier, oxygen machine, and floor heating for us. The hotel is very clean, and in the morning, you don't even need to go down to the observation deck; you can simply watch the snow-capped peaks from your balcony. The hotel thoughtfully provided large, thick blankets, which was a very nice touch."

"This best hotel I stayed during my Yunnan trip. The room is nice and clean. The staffs are helpful and friendly. There are many activities can be done during the stay too. There is a cute cat you can play with too. The breakfast is nice. It is a relaxing stay. Meili snow mountain is just right in front of us. Sadly, we couldn’t see golden mountain due to cloudy day. Overall is great. The only complaint is the drainage in bathroom is very slow, the water will flood up after awhile of showers."

They provided impeccable service throughout our stay. They even set up a WeChat group for smooth communication, and were incredibly responsive to all our requests. A special thank you to the team who waited early at the Wunongding Tunnel exit to pick us up and help with our luggage! 👍 Next, the hotel facilities were excellent. We stayed on the third floor and had a balcony with an amazing view – we could see the snow-capped mountains right from our room. The oxygen concentrators in the room really helped with altitude sickness, making our stay very comfortable. 👍 Finally, the hotel breakfast was superb. The variety was impressive, and the rice noodles with meat sauce were delicious! 👍"

"Our first stop on this trip was Linka B&B. It boasts a prime location in Benzilan, overlooking the winding Jinsha River gorge. The rooms are spacious, and the family's orchard offers free pears. Our host, Sister Ramu, is genuinely kind and treats us to delicious meals daily. We visited Nidingdongla Ranch, where she picked porcini mushrooms and made a delicious hot pot that evening. She suggested taking the old road to Feilai Temple, where the scenery is breathtaking. Before we left, she called me and asked me to wait at the intersection, where she had prepared cactus fruit for the children to try. The children missed Sister Ramu, saying they loved this B&B and didn't want to go anywhere else."

"This is the perfect place to stay in Upper Yubeng Village. It's located right at the start of the trails to Nisai Glacier and Glacier Lake. The breakfast was delicious and was customized for our vegetarian diet. They gave us lunch sandwiches every morning to take on our hikes. The room was well-stocked with water, fruit, and milk. They cleaned our laundry for us on request in just a couple of hours. We accidentally broke a coffee mug, and they replaced it for free. They actually washed our coffee mugs every day, which no other hotel seems to do. Finally, why I'd give this place six stars if I could: on our final day in Yubeng Village, we checked out and started hiking out toward Ninong. We accidentally left one of our phones in the hallway outside our room. The hotel manager noticed and immediately sent a runner to deliver the phone to us on the trail, almost a kilometer away. We tried to tip them but they adamantly refused, so all we can do is say thank you!"

The huge window, facing the Kawaguchi Peak, was particularly breathtaking. Although I only stayed for one day, Taoyuan Hermitage and the welcoming staff left a deep impression and fond memories."

"Modern beautiful hotel with a full view of meili snow mountain. located right next to the official viewing deck! staff were welcoming - provided us tea upon arrival, brought us to our room and allowed us to choose between 2 views since there was space! they also helped us navigate the room, how to use the various amenities like the humidifier and oxygen machine. toiletries were fully provided for! the night time sweet soup was also soothing to have. these rooms I believe have no air con but it worked for us as the weather was very cool. the option for a heater was there. breakfast had a choice of 2 types of noodles, and a little buffet bar, with a great view too! overall recommend this space for a stay!"

"I booked the Yunshu, room F02, and I highly recommend this room type. The location is absolutely perfect, right above the Meili road sign. Personally, I think the view of the snow-capped mountains from the room is even better than from the Feilai Temple viewing platform downstairs. The floor-to-ceiling window next to the sofa in the room directly faces the Shennü Peak, and you can also see Kawagebo, though unfortunately, the weather wasn't good on the day I was there, so I missed out on that. The room also provides a tripod, which you can set up on the balcony for photos. The afternoon tea was also great; I absolutely loved the sour tamarind iced Americano. We also had dinner on the first floor (basement), and the food was delicious with generous portions. The staff were all very friendly and even gave us a special souvenir, a cute little cup, when we left. It's a shame we didn't get to see the 'golden mountains in the sun' due to the weather. I'll definitely come back in winter. See you next time, Meili Shiqi! 🤜"

"Very close to Feilai Temple Viewing Deck. I was pleasantly surprised to see the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunrise' the next morning. The owner upgraded my room, which had a tea table and a view of the snow-capped mountains right outside the window. The owner's restaurant downstairs served delicious food, and I even got a 20% discount. Excellent value for money, I'm very satisfied! 👍"

"We had a great stay at the Cat. The views from the hotel are phenomenal. Is is at the highest point within the upper village and central for looking down the valley. The location did mean an extra walk through quite a lot of construction, but was certainly worth it. The staff were very friendly and accommodating: sending helpful directions, recommending shops for groceries and always quick to respond on WeChat. However, we did feel though the price we paid was very high for the quality of the room and its features (maybe inflated price near national holiday?). The bed was solid and the walls less than sound proof. The food available In the evening was decent, though breakfast was not included and the options limited. The balcony upstairs was a great spot to soak up the views, but could be updated to make it more of a comfortable social space."

"This guesthouse is absolutely fantastic! The owner sent a car to pick us up at the tunnel entrance and even prepared afternoon tea for us. The fifth-floor terrace offers an incredible view, and the cafe's vista is simply breathtaking! When the guesthouse saw that we had booked two different rooms for two consecutive days, they kindly upgraded us to a frontal snow mountain view room on the third floor! We couldn't get a taxi to the 'Lonely Tree,' but the guesthouse thoughtfully provided round-trip transportation. The cutest part is the adorable golden retriever, Maodou (Edamame)! She's so lovely! She waits for everyone by the elevator and the entrance, and every day she strolls around the observation deck, charming people for snacks, haha! I will definitely book at Runjing again next time!"
