"I stayed at the Meili Podu, hoping to witness the sunrise over the thirteen peaks of Meili Snow Mountain... but unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. It was rainy for days, and a thick fog enveloped the peaks, preventing me from seeing the magnificent sight of Meili's thirteen peaks! The hotel faces the snow mountain directly, so you can enjoy the 'golden mountain at sunrise' from your room if you're lucky enough to catch it. The hotel service was warm and attentive. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening desserts were all provided. Special mention goes to the breakfast, which was incredibly rich and exquisitely prepared. On the second morning, there was also a butter lamp lighting ceremony for blessings. The hotel's location is unbeatable, truly the best for viewing the snow mountain's 'golden sunrise'."

"This is my second time visiting Meili and this time, I came specifically to stay at this hotel. My first impression was great, and a year later, the service quality hasn't dropped. The restaurant's food is excellent, and Xiao Zhang was very polite and a truly professional hotel staff member – very nice! They even helped with drying my laundry and returning it to my room. I'll definitely be back for a third visit, and if you're lucky, you might even see the Milky Way from the balcony."

"What made Meili unforgettable for me wasn't just the blessing of the sacred mountains and the stunning 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' spectacle. A significant part of it was also the warmth and service from every staff member at Ji Xia Shan. No matter when or where, everyone I encountered greeted me not with a standardized, robotic smile, but with a genuinely bright and warm one. There was the unlimited supply of butter tea, the enthusiastic yet shy breakfast guy, the thoughtful and respectful housekeeper sister, the handsome young man on the fourth-floor viewing deck who taught us time-lapse photography, and the auntie who kept asking if we had enough food even after loading our breakfast plates... This wasn't just a place to stay; it felt more like a warm home. When we left in the car, everyone stood at the door waving goodbye, and for the first time, I felt an immense reluctance to leave a hotel, tears flowing uncontrollably. This trip not only received the blessing of the sacred mountains but also embraced the warmth of Ji Xia Shan. I believe these memories will support me through countless moments, inspiring me to strive for even better things. Tashi Delek!"

High Mountain Resort Meili Hotel located at Feilai Temple, Deqin County, Diqin State, Yunnan Province, which is nearby the Yunnan-Tibet Highway. Adhering to the design Concept “Haven, Earth, and I were produced together, and all things and I are one” of High Mountain Resort; combine with Meri Snow Mountain which is one of the Buddhism sacred mountain in Tibetan Area, modest luxury appears in everywhere. For the ultimate lifestyle accommodations, all rooms are equipped with first-class equipment including satellite television, free WIFI and large bathroom with bath products from L’Occitane. Meri Snow Mountain is one of the Buddhism sacred mountain in Tibetan Area, the height of main peak is 6740 meters, and there’s no one can reach the top of the peak until now. Meanwhile, it’s the unique Peak that prohibit to climb because of the cultural protection. Feilai Temple was originally built in 1614 during Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) with a history of 391 years, 1.1km away from hotel and will take 4 minutes by car. It was built according to the mountain terrain with architecture at random discretion. Along the way to Feilai Temple, you can enjoy lines of ancient pine, dappled shadows and winding rivers. "Here's what I liked: It's easy to park here, and they even have charging stations. The overall environment is really nice and peaceful; you can take a leisurely stroll around. It feels like there's still a lot of potential for further development. Since it wasn't busy on the day we checked in, they upgraded us to a deluxe snow view room on the second floor. We could literally lie in bed and enjoy the snow-capped mountains – pictures 7, 8, and 9 are actual shots of the view from the room. Some of the room amenities have been updated, like the smart toilet and the Laifen hairdryer. Plus, there's a private shortcut to the Feilai Temple observation deck, so you don't have to walk out to the main alley, which saves a lot of time. Here's what I didn't like: The decor is a bit old-fashioned, with a Tibetan-style, all-wood furniture aesthetic. I imagine older guests might appreciate it more. There's only one elevator to the second floor, and sometimes when you press '2', it just doesn't go up. It's really hit-or-miss and quite frustrating. Also, we had an issue where the room card didn't activate the power. Overall, I'd say the Gaoshan Villa's positives definitely outweigh its negatives. Just being able to see the snow mountains from your bed makes it worth it. However, at this price point during the off-season, you might find other good hotel options."

"Minibar: This hotel offered the most drinks and snacks out of all the hotels I stayed at on this trip. ROCK | Welcome Tea All-You-Can-Drink: Tea time treats, including drinks, pastries, fruits, and icy jelly, were delivered to the room – truly abundant. ROCK | Exclusive Energy Boost: Free hiking gear provided. Currently, there are hotels being built directly in front and to the right of Stone Rock, so looking out from the hotel room, all you see is a messy construction site. The muddy path from the village entrance to the hotel door significantly impacted the check-in experience, but it's understandable. They upgraded my room type to try and salvage the experience, and what's commendable are the soap dish (most hotels provide free soap but rarely a soap dish, a very thoughtful detail), Dyson hairdryer, and record player. Suggestions for improvement: Inform guests about the entrance route in advance (it's very hidden), and add more hangers (only two are really not enough)."

"Overall, it was a great stay. The hotel thoughtfully provided tips for altitude sickness in the room and prepared items and facilities to combat it, such as Coke, oxygen packs, and an oxygen supply system. The decor leans towards a Wabi-sabi style, and the buckwheat pillows were very comfortable to sleep on. You can watch the 'golden sun illuminating the mountain' from the 4th floor. Service: After booking this time, the hotel offered a ******* costume photoshoot experience. ******* clothes and headwear were available in the hotel lobby. After the shoot, we received 3 free original photos. This was a collaboration with NICO Travel Photography. The photographer was very professional 📷, snapped great shots 👍, was excellent at composition and finding the right light, and even guided our poses. We got the photos quickly, and then back at the hotel, a dedicated staff member helped us choose the best ones. The entire process was very pleasant, and we got some amazing 'life photos' – fantastic!"

"Since we came from Yubeng Village and didn't rent a car, the hotel's location was indeed much more suitable for self-driving. Fortunately, the hotel accommodated these inconveniences. The hotel was renovated from an abandoned elementary school, but the overall feel is like a designer's new creation. The amenities were excellent. In addition to the essentials, there was a tea table by the large window facing the mountains. The bed was large, and our room wasn't arranged side by side, but rather one side by one, which was quite unique and even involved a fight over it. The laundry service was thoughtful, and they even delivered goodnight milk in the evening. I also commend the breakfast, which offered both Chinese and Western options. It was one of the most comfortable and freshest breakfasts I've had in Yunnan these past few days, and the Western dishes were very satisfying. The hotel is located in a village group of only eight households, a quiet place with both activity and tranquility. The villagers are simple and shy, and after a walk, I joined them in circumambulating the Buddhist scriptures. Nearby are the Baima Snow Mountain, perfect for hiking, the Niding Line, perfect for children, and numerous wineries. The town itself is famous for the story of a French grandmother. Driving on your own is definitely more enjoyable, but mountain roads require some driving skills. Time is limited, so I'll definitely make up for this regret next time I drive on my own."
