Both the guest rooms and the rooftop observation deck offer unobstructed views directly facing the 13 peaks of Meili. You can witness the golden sunrise over the snowy mountains right from your bed, and wake up to the magnificent snow-capped scenery just by opening your window – it's perfect for photography. The service is incredibly attentive and gets full marks; the staff are responsive to every request and even thoughtfully bring snow fungus soup when you're watching the snowy mountains, along with welcome fruits. Every detail is meticulously handled. The breakfast is exquisite and diverse, with delicious Chinese dishes. Enjoying it with the stunning snow mountain views creates an overwhelming sense of happiness. The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, featuring floor heating and diffused oxygen, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Relaxing here, watching the clouds drift over the snow-capped mountains, is an amazing experience. It's definitely worth another visit!

JJiepipi .The room was spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with comfortable bedding. The 24-hour hot water and separate wet and dry areas were fantastic. The hotel thoughtfully provided local seasonal fruits and snacks in the lobby for guests to help themselves. It was my first time trying Naxi apples, and they were delicious! The sunlight streaming into the hotel restaurant and kitchen made breakfast feel warm and cozy. The breakfast selection was plentiful, including corn buns, rice noodles, and unique fried barley pastries. The owners were very welcoming; they answered all my questions about Shangri-La and provided information on nearby attractions and routes. I stayed for three nights! Also, Benzilan is located in a valley at a low altitude, with a cool and comfortable climate.

I'd heard for a while that Meili Podu was the 'must-visit' hotel pinnacle. I'd stayed at Tengchong Podu before and found it rather ordinary, but this time I finally decided to go for the Meili route. The 4-hour drive from Shangri-La wasn't short, but the moment we arrived in Wunongding – it was totally worth it! 🤍
🌄 Environment
We stayed in the White Pagoda Room. Although it didn't face directly onto the main peak of Kawagebo, the window view was still tranquil and therapeutic. Wunongding is quiet with few people. In the morning, drinking hot tea on the balcony and watching the clouds drift among the mountains brought such peace to my mind.
🍰 Snow Mountain View Afternoon Tea for Two
I never expected to find such photo-worthy and delicious afternoon tea at such a high altitude! The pastries were exquisite, and the coffee was surprisingly good. Just staring at the snow-capped mountains, taking photos, and sipping tea – it was the ideal vacation scene! 📸
🛌 Room Experience
The complimentary snacks and drinks in the minibar were plentiful. They even thoughtfully provided a large cloth bag, fearing we couldn't carry everything. The room was warm and clean, and bathing while enjoying the mountain view was absolutely divine. In the evening, we immersed ourselves in making ******* incense and painting Thangkas, truly experiencing ******* culture. Time here became soft and precious.
💁 Service with Full Attention to Detail
Upon entering, we were presented with a Hada (ceremonial scarf) and welcome tea. The service throughout was warm yet restrained. When we checked out, the front desk gave us a prayer wheel and handmade soap. Leaving with such blessings, it felt less like staying at a hotel and more like being a guest at a friend's home for two days.

FfafafafaaaaFacilities: There's a handcrafted, refined feel to it, but the basic room type doesn't have a sofa, TV, or a view of the snow-capped mountains, which makes it a bit boring. The public areas are beautiful, and all the decorations are lovely. It's a bit breathless walking up without an elevator.
Hygiene: Good.
Environment: It's in Wunongding Village, a bit far from the White Pagoda, so it's very quiet compared to other places. Very, very quiet.
Service: Excellent! I felt very well taken care of. I arrived too late to catch afternoon tea, but it was already placed in my room. The cold beef was super delicious, and the goodnight dessert was also delivered to the room. Everyone was very warm and welcoming, both on arrival and departure. Thumbs up to the staff.
Next time I come to Meili, I'll consider a better room type at Jixiashan.

MM506302****Why is the maximum rating only five stars? I'd give it a ten! This has to be the best and most affordable guesthouse I stayed at during my Yubeng trip. The room facilities are complete with oxygen supply, electric blankets, and air conditioning. It's also just a few minutes' walk from the viewing platform. The owner is super friendly and told us the best time to see the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunshine,' and we managed to catch it after setting up our cameras early. The free breakfast provided in the morning was delicious. It was so good, I want to write a ten-star review thesis for this place and publish it on Ctrip Magazine!

Service: The service was superb! They helped me carry my luggage to the room as soon as I arrived, which almost made me embarrassed, haha. They even gave me a huge bag of Wahaha water (because I brought my dog, and she drinks a lot of water). I was so touched by how pet-friendly they are!
Environment: From the balcony of my room, I could even capture a photo of the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise' (Rizhao Jinshan). So lucky! 🍀

I booked it last minute after deciding to arrive a day earlier. It was very warm, clean, and the facilities were new. The service was also excellent; both the front desk and the owner were very polite. I would have extended my stay if they weren't fully booked today.

AAnonymous UserThey say you might not see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” in October, so I booked this place to avoid wasting money on a view that might not deliver. Turns out, we actually saw it! Super worth it!! The location is right next to where the bus drops you off, so it's a very easy walk, and close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the underfloor heating worked perfectly. There are only four or five rooms, and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is very simple and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this for anyone hoping to catch the Golden Mountain but worried about a wasted 4-hour drive if they miss it. The accommodation quality is easily more than triple that of other scenic hotels at the same price point, and the courtyard itself can help ease any disappointment if you don't see the sunrise.
Let's talk about the downsides:
1. Feilai Temple is currently under construction, so there are large vehicles at night. I personally wasn't bothered by the noise, but I can't guarantee others wouldn't be. This seems to be a common issue for hotels along this road.
2. The room was very clean and tidy, but I wasn't a fan of the air freshener scent. My partner didn't notice it, though.
3. There were some really large flies. I hope the owner can improve pest control. Although they'll probably freeze to death in a few days, seeing them definitely puts a damper on the mood.

MM279721****The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, with a tasteful decor throughout. The underfloor heating and diffused oxygen supply meant we didn't have to worry about altitude sickness at all. The staff were warm and friendly! There's also a cafe and an observation deck on the top floor where you can see Baima Snow Mountain and Feilai Temple. The afternoon sun was perfect for photos, and the scenery was absolutely stunning!
The hotel's location isn't far from the Meili Snow Mountain observation deck, so transportation is very convenient. There's a snack street near the Feilai Temple observation deck, and watching the snow-capped mountains in the evening is beautiful—highly recommended! The hotel's restaurant is on the first floor, which is super convenient if you don't feel like going out in the cold.

You can see the golden mountain in the sun from the room, especially the terrace on the third floor which is particularly photogenic against the backdrop of the Meili Snow Mountain. The hotel service is also in place and is worth recommending.
