"Above normal 5 star service. From check in to check out all staff are very friendly. Staff always think of customer point. When arriving the hotel staff at the drop off point has suggested to sent the luggage to our room but we wanted to bring the luggage up to the room ourself ( don’t need to wait for the luggage in the room) When doing the check in and after getting the room key , another staff has suggested to sent our luggages to our room and clearly explain why they want to help to sent out luggages to the room. Time receiving the luggage’s very fast. In the check out day , has called for the luggages to sent for deposit. Staff Ricky is very friendly and love to communicate to customers. Well done for his good service. Thanks for making my boss and wife wedding anniversary memorable."

"The public areas were impeccably clean, with constant mopping and cleaning, which was particularly noticeable and appreciated during the rainy days we experienced. The supermarket, pharmacy, and jewelry shops located downstairs were incredibly convenient. It’s fantastic for families with children, as you don't need to step outside the hotel to access everything. The breakfast buffet offered a wide array of options, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was fully stocked with everything one could need for snacks and beverages, and the toiletries provided were comprehensive and well-thought-out. The only minor drawback was the location; it felt a little off the beaten path, and the immediate surroundings outside the hotel weren't particularly bustling. However, it was a short walk to The Parisian and The Londoner. We would definitely choose this hotel again in the future! One regret was that the 'Figure 8' Ferris Wheel was closed due to a typhoon warning and rain."

"The room was spacious, new, and decorated in an ocean theme, exuding luxury yet elegance – perfect for photos, as shown. The bed, bathroom, and tea bar amenities were excellent, and I appreciated not needing an adapter for charging, with USB ports readily available. The minibar included a complimentary drink, a standard offering at Grand Lisboa Hotels, with no extra charge. The room layout was well-designed and practical; the luggage area had two stands, ideal for couples or families. We requested a smoking room, and it did have a smoke smell, but when we called room service, they immediately brought a high-powered air purifier. Keeping it on significantly alleviated most of the odor. The sky garden on the third floor was very picturesque. It was a shame we missed the afternoon 'Alice in Wonderland' themed performance and interactive session. Breakfast was crowded, and the Chinese options were decent, but the Western desserts and various teas were superb. Getting to the 'three people' area (referring to the main tourist area perhaps) was a bit far on foot, requiring a taxi. However, Wynn Palace was only a 10-minute walk away. Compared to that main area, this hotel has the New Yaohan department store and a large supermarket nearby. Stocking up on food, drinks, and daily necessities here was incomparably cheaper than in the main tourist spots, which is incredibly convenient for families with children and couples on a budget. Next to the supermarket, the Grand Lisboa Palace Food Court offers 'Wing Kee Beef Offal' and a delicious, generously portioned pork chop bun shop, along with Cantonese BBQ and Southeast Asian cuisine. It felt a bit cheaper than the Venetian Food Court, and it was spacious, less crowded, and peaceful. We booked one night because the room rate was cheap, and overall, it offered great value for money. It's perfect for combining with another hotel in Macau to enrich your travel experience and ease your wallet. Highly recommended! Almost forgot to mention, there's a local culture and history exhibition on the third floor called 'Lisboa: A Story of Macau,' which is definitely worth a visit! For most people, it's more worthwhile than the Picasso exhibition. 😎"

"Usually i dont make comments on here. But my stay at this hotel was a pleasant one. I want to share with you all. I came for the show which was held at Macao outdoor performance venue. When we checked in, the staff at front desk was nice and friendly. We checked in at around 4pm, probably most of the rooms are occupied. Since we had made a request of high floor and non smoking one, he tried to look for a better room for us. Finally he assigned a room that far from lift and non smoking one which was located at middle floor after getting our consent. 'When we went into the room, we were surprised that we could see the venue from our window! And we could also see planes and the airport! The condition of the hotel and room looked quite new and clean. In our bathroom, there was a double basin! there was hand wash gel and i liked that aroma! The hotel is connected to a shopping mall. You may go thru the shopping mall to go to the venue easily. And there is a restaurant in the shopping mall operating around the clock which gave us a convenience after the show. There was also a room with vending machines and ice making machines on out floor. The price there was not rocket high. It is even cheaper than the one from the convenient store at the shopping mall lol The bed and pillows were cozy. You may also adjust the temperature and fan speed of the Air conditioner. After we checked out, we wanted to keep the luggage. Front desk staff was helpful and attentive, approached me before i made any request. And one of the concierge was always smiley, cheerful and friendly (i m sorry i didnt check your name tag but you were the one who passed me my luggage when i claimed it) Overall, it was a good experience. I hope the hotel may keep their good work."

"In Exceptional Stay at Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16 I recently stayed in the Prestige Suite at Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable — a perfect combination of luxury and relaxation. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better, offering both convenience and a wonderful view of the city. But what truly made my stay memorable was the outstanding service. Mr. Mark from the Front Desk went above and beyond to ensure everything was seamless and pleasant, and Alexandra from the Bellhop team greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism every time especially during the we leaving Macau to HK Airport she guided us through the entire way it’s really so helpful and make our trip more smooth. Every detail, from check-in to check-out, reflected Sofitel’s signature hospitality. I left feeling refreshed and genuinely cared for. I highly recommend Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16 to anyone looking for a refined and welcoming stay in Macau."

"Facilities: This is a retro-style hotel, quite spacious overall, and the room was decent – not tiny by any means. The only drawback was having to get water from the hallway dispenser, which they claim is for environmental reasons. But then again, they wash the reusable cups with detergent, so I'm not sure two small bottles of water justify all that hassle. Cleanliness: The hygiene was pretty good; no obvious stains anywhere. Environment: The room had a slightly damp smell, not very fresh. I kept noticing that musty odor while sleeping. However, the mattress firmness was just right, unlike some hotels where the beds are too soft and leave you with backaches. Service: They spoke Chinese and accommodated my booking requests. I imagine this place would be great value for money if you're visiting during the off-season!"

"I had a wonderful stay at The Londoner Grand in Macau. The staff went above and beyond to make our visit special — they upgraded our room for free and even surprised my mum with a complimentary birthday cake, which was such a thoughtful touch. The hotel environment is elegant, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. Everything was spotless, from the lobby to the room, and the overall atmosphere felt luxurious yet comfortable. The location is also perfect — very convenient with direct access to shops, restaurants, and nearby attractions. Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommend The Londoner Grand for anyone visiting Macau, whether for a family trip, celebration, or a relaxing getaway."

Where to Stay in Macau

Macau has a rhythm that feels lively yet relaxed, with a mix of old streets and modern buildings side by side. In the morning, you’ll see people walking along Senado Square with coffee in hand, shops opening slowly, and the smell of freshly baked pastries from small bakeries. Around the historic lanes, locals set up stalls selling snacks, souvenirs, and simple breakfast dishes while buses and taxis move steadily through the narrow roads. Near the waterfront, hotels welcome travelers who come for the views, food, and easy access to the city’s attractions. By late afternoon, the light turns warm, families stroll through Taipa Village, and friends stop for milk tea or Portuguese egg tarts. When night comes, the city glows with soft lights, the air turns cooler, and you can hear music and gentle chatter from restaurants serving noodle soups, seafood, and Macanese dishes. Staying in Macau feels easy, colorful, and full of small moments that make the trip memorable.

Tips for Booking Macau Hotels

Book Early for Busy Seasons

Macau gets crowded during Golden Week, Christmas, New Year, and major festival periods. Hotels in Cotai and the Macau Peninsula often fill up fast, and prices go up. If you plan to visit during these times, it’s better to book your room early so you have more choices and better rates.

Watch Out for Big Events

When Macau hosts concerts, boxing matches, or large conventions, hotel demand increases. Rates in popular areas like Cotai Strip can rise quickly. Booking ahead helps you avoid last-minute high prices and ensures you stay close to the places you want to visit.

Save with Booking Perks

Sites like Trip.com often have hotel discounts and special deals. First-time users may get extra savings, which means you can use the money for local food, shows, or shopping around Senado Square and Taipa Village.

Stay Smart with Location Choices

If you want to save more, you don’t always need to stay inside a big Cotai resort. These areas offer good value and easy access to attractions:

  • Taipa Village – Affordable hotels close to food streets, cafes, and local shops.
  • Macau Peninsula – Budget-friendly stays within walking distance of heritage sites like Senado Square and the Ruins of St. Paul.
  • Coloane – Quiet options near beaches and nature, great if you prefer a peaceful stay.

GGuest User## Facilities: Quite Disappointing On the first day, the shower drain was blocked, causing water to overflow everywhere. It was quite late, so I ended up using a bathmat to soak it up myself. The next day, I specifically called the front desk, and they left a message when I returned saying it had been resolved. To my dismay, it was blocked again the second day, forcing me to rush out mid-shower to call them. Additionally, the room phone seemed to have a faulty connection; I kept trying to dial but couldn't get a call through. Even after requesting an air purifier, my throat still felt quite stuffy. ## Service: During check-in, I specifically requested not to be given a room at the end of the corridor. Well, they assigned me the very first room. Two staff members even came up to demonstrate how to operate the curtains... (a bit excessive!). However, the room service staff were actually very good; they were patient and responded promptly to all my requests. ## Location: The location is indeed quite out of the way. Taxis are scarce during peak hours, whereas it was much easier to hail a cab at The Londoner during the same times. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're traveling with minors, as you'll have to walk a much longer route if you can't cut through the casino. I honestly don't know how people manage to explore all of Macau in a single day. For me, getting back from The Venetian felt incredibly far, and even getting to The Londoner was quite a trek. I was so exhausted I even considered taking a taxi just to get to Wynn. ## Cleanliness: The cleanliness was acceptable. I didn't experience any allergic reactions while sleeping, and overall, the room was quite clean. However, I suspect my throat discomfort was likely related to the carpet.

GGuest UserIt was such a pleasant stay at the Okura hotel. We were there to celebrate birthday for 2 family members. The hotel decorated the room and offered a yummy birthday cake and stuffed bears wearing kimono. The kids were so happy. They also accommodated our request to arrange a room close to elevator (literately next to it) to my father-in-law who has reduced mobility. Thomas was supper helpful and nice. There is no in-dining breakfast as the restaurant is under renovation. Would like to come back when it is re-opened.

GGuest UserI didn’t expect such a quality from an hotel with such a price. I was skeptical at the beginning, but the staying was over the expectation. Room spacious, super clean and with all the amenities you need. I think the hotel was opened recently, since everything inside looks brand new. The hotel is in a very good position, close to both the casino area (25 min walking)and the historical one (15 min by bus). Experience 5/5

Aakanemaomao## A Must-Stay L'Occitane Themed Hotel! I recently experienced The L'Occitane Hotel at Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations! 📍**Location & Transportation** While it's not in the city's core, getting around is a breeze. After taking a car to Grand Lisboa Palace, a 3-5 minute walk through the indoor, fully air-conditioned 'Macau Palace' walkway takes you directly to the hotel – no sun exposure at all! There's also a free shuttle bus right outside that goes straight to Wynn Palace, making exploring Cotai hassle-free. 🍳**Breakfast** The hotel breakfast is average. I'd recommend trying the options at the nearby Grand Lisboa Palace instead: - 'The Tea House' opens at 10 AM, serving authentic Cantonese dim sum. - 'The Buffet' offers excellent value for money with its breakfast deals. Inside The Macau Palace, you'll also find various noodle stalls and food stands, offering more down-to-earth local choices. 🌟**Highlights** 1️⃣ A full set of L'Occitane amenities! The shower gel and body lotion are of high quality, and you can even call the front desk for another complimentary set. 2️⃣ Excellent soundproofing ensures a quiet room, perfect for a good night's sleep. 3️⃣ Don't miss these spots downstairs: ☕️Momokawa Coffee – A hidden gem for specialty coffee in Macau, perfect for a morning pick-me-up. 🍦Cotiz Double Skin Milk Ice Cream – Rich milky flavor and silky smooth texture. Highly, highly recommend! 💡**Summary** With its convenient transportation, immersive L'Occitane experience, and great surrounding dining options, this is a unique hotel in Macau offering excellent value for money. Just remember to plan your breakfast choices in advance and make good use of the free transportation to easily explore Cotai.

GGuest UserThe hotel was clean, well-organized, and sufficient for our stay. It has a convenient location near the ferry terminal, though it’s not the best spot if you want to be close to major attractions — you’ll need to walk a bit. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean and comfortable as well. The casino had a somewhat dated vibe, and we didn’t have time to check out the pool, but note that you’ll need to bring a hair cap if you plan to swim.

__CFT0404027****Pros: The location is excellent, right in the heart of the Macau Peninsula. It's a short walk to the old Wynn and both the old and new Grand Lisboa. The area downstairs is lively with tons of small shops to browse, and many pharmacies. It's also very close to the Fortuna Hotel. The in-room toiletries are L'Occitane. The 'wet market' on the hotel's third floor is also interesting; although it's old, it still retains the charm and vibrancy of a grand hotel. The lobby is impressive, and they offer various complimentary drinks. I personally found the milk tea quite good, and they have several hot drink options, which are more considerate for women than the iced milk tea at MGM. And despite what some say about the Landmark Hotel being 'doomed,' I found it to be a fun spot with a less intimidating atmosphere than some of the larger casinos. Cons: 1. The soundproofing in the room is indeed poor. Even as a deep sleeper, I was woken up by doors closing upstairs and could clearly hear mobile phone conversations from outside. 2. There was no charging adapter, which made charging inconvenient. The adapter in the bathroom outlet also didn't work for my hair styling tools. 3. The surrounding area felt a bit chaotic at night, and I didn't feel entirely safe going out, though that might just be a perception. 4. It felt very dated; metal fixtures and hangers in the room were significantly discolored. 5. You have to take an elevator from the first floor to the sixth floor to transfer to another elevator to get to the room, which is a bit circuitous, but thankfully the hallway isn't too long.

JJiaowosaicheshouFirst time in Macau, I booked this hotel blindly online and it turned out to be excellent in terms of location and experience. Firstly, there's an elevator. The room isn't big, but it's well-equipped and, believe it or not, they even provide universal power outlets. Secondly, there are plenty of dining options nearby, which is very convenient. Just a few steps away is a great supermarket, 'San Fung Croche Supermarket'. Plus, there's a bus stop right downstairs that connects well to the Taipa line for the airport. Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it to everyone.

GGuest UserWe booked a triple room for convenience, but it turned out to be exceptionally small. The window offered a view of tightly packed residential buildings, reminiscent of the old Kowloon Walled City, making it impossible to open the curtains. Despite being a triple room, only two tooth mugs were provided. When we asked the front desk, they directed us to housekeeping, who explained that while three sets of toiletries were given, their policy stipulated only two tooth mugs per room. Then, in the middle of the night, the air conditioning broke. A technician worked on it for nearly an hour, but by 1 AM, it still wasn't fixed, and we were simply given a fan. At checkout, there was no apology or explanation whatsoever regarding the AC problem. To add insult to injury, upon checking out, we realized one room key card was missing, and they immediately charged us 50 RMB, citing their policy. It really feels like these rules are only for guests!

Hhgx1972The location is excellent, right by the Outer Harbour waterfront, making it perfect for morning strolls. Macau is quite compact, and the Ruins of St. Paul's are just a short walk away. The hotel has a traditional style, but all its facilities are very well-maintained. It was spotlessly clean. The service was incredibly warm, attentive, patient, and polite. A great bonus was that the front desk staff were fluent in standard Mandarin.
