Macau Taipa Hotels

I had a very pleasant stay at the YOHO Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The room was spacious, modern, and very clean, with a nice view. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The facilities, like the pool, were well-maintained and made the stay even more enjoyable. The location is a bit quieter and a little further from the busiest tourist areas, but the main attractions are easily accessible by taxi or public transport. For the price, this hotel offers excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

This is actually a great establishment. Location wise is easily accessible, price wise is decent, has a good privacy. I would say this hotel is more of a Chinese mainland kind a type. It does’t have proper coffee in the room, most of the staff speak Mandarin instead of English, the decoration and stuff are too. What I meant by privacy is that this hotel’s lobby is on the 38th floor and there is a separate elevator to go down to the room floors. However, to go down to the entrance is either go back to the lobby and change, or go to the gym and restaurant and take other elevators at the back. It is like a maze. My room view is magnificent, facing Macau tower, the bridge, and the Sands. The gym and pool are also nice. In general, this is such a proper family hotel with a decent price. It would be so much better for me personally if they have Netflix as well as proper coffee like Nespresso.

## Facilities Well-equipped with a bathtub and a mini-fridge. ## Cleanliness The room is a bit old overall, but there's no dirt or damage, so it's acceptable. ## Environment The hotel has a golden hue, giving it a very retro feel. We stayed on the 19th floor, and the view from the window was quite good. ## Service What I can't understand is that after we extended our stay for another night, we left in the afternoon. About half an hour before we left, the cleaning lady asked if we wanted the room cleaned. We said yes, but a bit later. When we left, the cleaning lady was cleaning the room next door. However, when we returned in the evening, we found that the room hadn't been cleaned at all. None of the toiletries or drinking water had been replenished, which meant we didn't have enough shampoo and shower gel when we showered. It was quite late then, and we were too tired to go to the front desk for new supplies.

This hotel in Macau is quite good. There are affordable small restaurants just a two-minute walk downstairs, where you can pay with Alipay or WeChat. It's about a ten-minute walk to Rua do Cunha, and public transport is also convenient. There are free shuttle buses to Gongbei Port and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Port, but it's a pity they don't offer airport pick-up.

Walking into the room, I was pleasantly surprised! It was so tidy, clean, and bright. I honestly didn't expect much from a hotel so close to the airport, but everything I saw was lovely. The view from the window was also refreshing. Even though it's practically next door to the airport, it wasn't noisy at all; it was very quiet at night. Getting around was super convenient too. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time!

The environment is decent, but the soundproofing in the room isn't great. You don't need to bring a travel adapter as there are plenty of USB ports. Be careful in the bathroom – the shower area gets very slippery, and I almost fell several times. Breakfast is a set menu, not a buffet, and only one portion is provided per room. If two people are staying, the second person won't get breakfast. Also, you have to hand over the room key for breakfast, even though they only provide one key. The elevator requires a key card to operate. The value for money is average, but the location and public transport links are excellent.

Transiting in Macau, the location is indeed excellent, right across from the airport, just a few minutes' walk away. The service rating goes to the gentleman at the entrance on the first floor; his directions were clear, and he answered every question. The environment is really just average, too old... And the hangers couldn't be removed to hang clothes. What's the point of the clothesline in the bathroom then? The showerhead is also fixed, which made showering really uncomfortable... The kettle cord wasn't long enough either... The newest thing in the entire room was the router... The pillow was too flat, the blanket too thin, and it was a bit itchy... I didn't sleep well.

Hygiene: The room was clean and odor-free. I really liked the scent in the hotel corridors and lobby; it made for a very comfortable stay. Environment: The hotel's location is excellent. The Estoril bus stop is right outside, and it's very close to a supermarket. We booked room 530, which offered a perfect sea view, including the Macau Tower, Grand Lisboa Hotel, and MGM – a prime view that showcases the bustling prosperity of Macau's waterfront. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly. They spoke fluent Mandarin when they realized we were from mainland China, and communicated naturally and politely with foreign guests. They also offered free luggage storage, and the staff even helped us with our suitcases, which was much appreciated! Overall, the hotel offers exceptional value for money. For just over 400 a night, you get a clean, hygienic, and high-end hotel with great views. It added a lot of convenience and enjoyment to our trip! Highly recommended.

This was my second stay at the Asia Boutique Hotel, and it's right on Rua do Cunha. The hotel's environment and facilities are pretty standard. On the last day, you can store your luggage and go shopping. Besides the snack stalls, Rua do Cunha itself and the surrounding alleys and main roads have a plethora of traditional tea restaurants and Portuguese restaurants that are well worth a visit. After dinner, you can take a stroll from Rua do Cunha along the Taipa Houses-Museum wetlands to reach the Venetian, Londoner, and Parisian. There are buses right outside the hotel that go directly to the Peninsula, Senado Square, and Monte Fort. For coastal attractions in Coloane and the Macau airport, the metro is also a direct ride away. Its prime location is definitely its strongest point. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it!

The only downside, and what left the worst impression, was the Chinese-speaking front desk staff member on our second night. I just asked how to get water, and she responded with a terrible attitude and great impatience, like 'what else did you expect?'. The front desk's job is service and first impressions. Even the cleaning staff were more polite than her. This was really bad. Other than that, the hotel was perfect. The bed was huge, the bathroom was very clean, and I slept really well.
