Hot Springs Hotels in Beijing

We stayed at Xishan Hot Spring Hotel with our child, and overall it exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean, with a good separation of wet and dry areas, and all amenities were well-stocked. The bed was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing for peaceful rest after a dip in the hot springs. Check-in was fast, and the staff were gentle and patient. The hotel's facilities are truly impressive. There are various indoor and outdoor hot spring pools, and the ******* medicine pool was particularly comfortable. My child loved the Blue Parrot Land and the water park so much they didn't want to leave. There's also a kids' club, which offered a brief respite for us parents. The buffet offered a wide variety of food and drinks. It's a one-stop destination for eating, drinking, playing, and entertainment, and parking is free. It's perfectly suited for a family vacation, highly recommended!

1. The friendly service attitude of the hotel staff was the first thing I appreciated most. 2. The architectural style of the hotel's courtyard (siheyuan) was a highlight I had to discover myself, rather than it being prominently advertised by the hotel. This was a bit of a shame, but I truly loved the traditional Beijing siheyuan feel. 3. The hotel is located in the most secluded corner of the Water Town area, offering a quiet and serene environment, which I really liked. 4. Although the hotel is quite a distance from the park entrance and the bustling Sun and Moon Island, the electric shuttle service provided by the park is excellent. This made it very convenient to return to the hotel to rest or to depart from the hotel to explore various scenic spots. 5. The breakfast was simple but offered a good variety, including vegetables and meat, both Chinese and Western options, three types of fruit, and American coffee from a bean-to-cup machine. Food items were replenished continuously, and the dining environment was comfortable and cozy. 6. The hotel is situated right next to the entrance of Simatai Great Wall, the park's main attraction, making it very convenient to return to the hotel after an evening tour. 7. It would be even better if hotel guests received more discounts for visiting attractions or dining at restaurants, especially if there were greater specials for dining at the hotel itself. This would definitely encourage more in-house guests to dine there. 8. A special thank you to the lady at the front desk for her incredibly thoughtful and detailed service on our check-out day. She helped us with our luggage and arranged for the shuttle to take us to the first parking lot. My wife and I were very touched by her warm service.

Pros: 1. The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance to Simatai Great Wall. It's easy to access the Wall for hiking, and you can also enjoy views of it from the second floor of the room. The Wall is visible in the distance from the window, making it a secluded retreat away from the hustle and bustle. 2. The hotel offers excellent service. Housekeeping is prompt, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. 3. The duplex suite A is very spacious, perfect for families with elderly members and children. Kids, especially, will love rolling and crawling on the tatami mat. 4. Slippers and bath towels are replaced daily, and complimentary fruit is provided every day. 5. After checking out, I left my headphones in the room. The hotel proactively contacted me and arranged for them to be couriered to me, which I truly appreciate. Cons: 1. The room is very inconvenient for elderly guests with mobility issues. The main bed is on the second floor, making it difficult for them to go up and down. The first floor has a tatami mat, which makes it hard for elderly guests to get up and lie down. If they need to get up at night, they would definitely need assistance. 2. While the room is large, whether the Japanese wabi-sabi style truly suits Chinese guests, especially for a hotel charging 5,000 yuan per night, is a question that needs consideration. The wabi-sabi aesthetic often translates to very sparse furnishings: no comfortable sofas, no bedside tables, no bedside lamps, and certainly no central control panel for all lights and appliances. The tatami mat essentially means sleeping on the floor with a low table, making it very inconvenient and challenging to get up, sit down, or place and retrieve items, which clashes with Chinese living habits. 3. The private hot spring bath in the room only has one switch for hot water, making it impossible to adjust the temperature. Its size is also awkward; it's fine for one person, but feels cramped for two. For a room type designed for six people, such a small bath is quite inconvenient. Furthermore, the inner wall of the bath is made of solid wood, raising concerns about hygiene. 4. The smart toilet was broken and remained unrepaired even after reporting it. 5. The two bedrooms on the second floor, designed to accommodate at least four people, share a single small bathroom, which is a very impractical design. Additionally, the entire Gubei Water Town is not suitable for elderly visitors with mobility issues, especially those in wheelchairs. The flagstone paths are very uneven, and there are many steps, which would make a wheelchair ride extremely bumpy and uncomfortable.

The hotel's size and room spaciousness would be perfectly acceptable for a five-star hotel. The receptionist at check-in was friendly and clearly an experienced staff member. However, the details fall far short of what you'd expect from a five-star establishment. At 1439 RMB, the value for money is extremely poor. There were obvious sticky marks on the bedside table, and the room didn't even have simple coffee, let alone a mini-bar – the fridge was just wasting electricity. The tea bags looked worse than those you'd find in a budget hotel. The toilet paper was incredibly thin, the toilet wasn't smart, and the carpet looked faded. The floor tiles right inside the bathroom door were loose, creaking with every step I took. What I found most outrageous were the slippers; they were such poor quality that they started falling apart after just a few hours of wear, and the soles were so thin it felt like walking barefoot. They've really cut corners too much here; I've never encountered anything like it. The breakfast dishes were unremarkable and very ordinary. Overall, I've never stayed at a five-star hotel with such a bad experience.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency World Garden with our child during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and I expected it to be chaotic with so many people, but the experience far exceeded my expectations! The front desk handled check-in efficiently, and even during peak hours, the staff calmly directed guests, maintaining order amidst the crowd – making us feel at ease the moment we walked in. The swimming pool wasn't even crowded during the holiday, and they have a shallow pool for toddlers, which was great. It's also very close to Qibabu Paradise, just a short walk away. The overall service was warm and considerate, lively yet orderly, making it very family-friendly for those with young children. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next holiday and highly recommend it to all families traveling with kids!

The hotel boasts an elegant environment, making you feel like you have an entire mountain to yourself. Built into the hillside, the two-bedroom suite we booked this time was located mid-mountain. The hotel community has complete facilities, and the main entrance is fenced off with a gate, so the security is reassuring and makes you feel very safe. The shuttle service uses Voyah commercial vans, which are super comfortable! The staff helped with our luggage, which was very thoughtful and attentive. It's about 10 kilometers from Badaling Great Wall, and Shuiguan Great Wall is nearby and not crowded. Juyongguan Great Wall is also conveniently located on the way to Beijing South Station, so we stopped by, making our trip even more rich and fulfilling.

The rooms are clean and tidy, and come with a balcony. When checking in, you need to register your vehicle to park in the underground parking lot 🅿️, otherwise, you might be charged a parking fee. We had three king-size rooms, and 1119 had the best view, overlooking the lake from the balcony, with a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The room directly opposite could see the golf course behind, which was great for sunset views. The bathroom and bathtub are in separate spaces opposite each other, designed with two sinks for simultaneous use. The front desk is on the second floor, and the connecting corridor to the hot spring ♨️ is also on the same floor, though it's a bit of a walk. The buffet restaurant is on the first floor. Complimentary fruit was provided in the room.

This was my first time visiting Xiaotangshan. My partner wanted a room with both public and private hot springs, so we chose this place. The room type had a large outdoor area, while the indoor area was small, but it had everything we needed. The lights worked well, and there was even an electric blanket on the bed. On the day of check-in, we were assigned a dedicated butler. I think we were a bit demanding, needing the pool cleaned again and picking up takeout, but the butler, Jia Ran, and the other staff members all helped us solve our problems. Highly recommended! The breakfast included in the room exceeded our expectations, offering both Chinese and Western options, and it was delicious. The public areas are worth experiencing; there's a functional hot spring and a swimming area, offering a different experience from the private hot springs – quite nice. As a long-established hot spring resort in Beijing, Jiuhua Hot Spring didn't feel outdated at all during my first visit. On the contrary, many facilities were quite new. The one-on-one butler service was also a pleasant surprise; messages in the group were replied to almost instantly, ensuring we weren't delayed. Special praise goes to concierge Leo; we ordered two takeout meals, which arrived one after the other, and he delivered them one by one, even tagging me in the group chat to let me pick them up instead of leaving them on the ground for me to retrieve. This showed his attentiveness and responsibility, a big thumbs up. Overall, the hot springs here are exceptional, and the service is impeccable. It's no exaggeration to say it surpasses some star-rated hotels. I would definitely consider returning, and I wish them continued success.

The Yanqing Olympic Village Resort Hotel, nestled in the Haituo Mountain Valley, offers a refreshingly cool climate that's never stuffy. At night, you can enjoy a starry sky rarely seen in the city. The front desk staff are incredibly responsible and diligently handled all my requests. The housekeeping department is also excellent, meticulously cleaning the rooms every day. The hotel also has a swimming pool with great water quality. With its high greenery coverage, the air is fantastic, making it a great hotel for a summer escape.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! You can reach the foot of the Great Wall in just two minutes. The room was super clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. My in-laws, who were traveling with me, loved just relaxing in the armchair by the window, breathing in the fresh air, so much so that they said there was no need to even climb the Great Wall – just staying at the hotel was a treat in itself. There's also an adorable tabby cat at the hotel that loves getting belly rubs. Dining was convenient too; Yanxi Fishing Village is right in the courtyard, and the food portions were generous. After we came back from the Great Wall, we rested at the hotel, and the staff even thoughtfully brought us afternoon tea. It was such a warm gesture and really helped to wash away the fatigue from climbing the Wall. The scenery at Mutianyu is just beautiful! We'll definitely be back, and when we return, we'll stay here again and come to pet your cat once more!
