GGuest UserHow do I put this... I've stayed in quite a few decent B&Bs, and this one just gives me the impression that the owner isn't very focused on service, mainly aiming for a casual vibe, I guess... It's been a long time since I encountered a B&B or hotel where the drinks in the room fridge cost extra. When I asked for two small bottles of water, the response I got was, ”The large bottles are free too.” I don't understand what that even means... Of course, I know the large bottles are free, but do I have to drink from a jug if I want cold water? They did eventually bring them, just two small bottles... The breakfast was also quite disappointing; it's the first time I've encountered something like this at this price point for a B&B. The overall feeling is just very stingy. There's a nearly right-angle turn outside the B&B, and our car is quite long. No one came out to guide us or help us navigate... I'll just leave it at that for now.

LLiaoaoaoaoaoaoOur stay at Gubei Zhiguang was absolutely amazing! Before we arrived, the hotel manager, Kangle, called us a day in advance to ask for our arrival time and provide directions. Since it was the off-season and not many tourists were around, she even upgraded our room for free to one with a direct view of the Great Wall from the window, which was incredibly thoughtful. While we were checking in, Kangle saw my friend and I waiting in the lobby and kindly helped us with our luggage. When we jokingly asked if we, as 'children,' could also get a gift, Kangle proactively offered us a Napoleon pastry. Our impression of her went up, up, up! Following Kangle's recommendation, we visited Simatai Great Wall in the evening, going up before sunset and coming down after dark. We witnessed an absolutely stunning sunset and night view – this trip was definitely worth it! The ancient town itself, with its small bridges and flowing water, sculling boats, hot springs, and enthusiastic staff, is a place worth revisiting. We're already looking forward to our next trip to experience the intangible cultural heritage crafts!

MMeiyincidufuHighly, highly recommended!!! Our group of four climbed Dongling Mountain this morning, and the scenery was so beautiful we didn't want to go back to Beijing. On a whim, we wanted to find a hot spring hotel nearby where we could relax and soak, and we found this one. The scenery was absolutely stunning!!! The entire village has excellent red-themed architecture and a very positive atmosphere. Even the small village museum's 3D video was quite good, creating a great ambiance, and in the morning, you could see the iconic red star right outside your window!! And the best part? The hot spring was incredibly relaxing! Enjoying a barbecue in the misty mountains, listening to the rain while soaking in the hot spring… friends, it was indescribably comfortable!! The owner and the manager were very kind, providing us with free breakfast. After breakfast, we immediately bought two jars of the same fermented bean curd online—it was so delicious, hahaha! In short, a perfect recommendation, we will definitely go again!!!

GGuest UserThe room looks exactly like the photos online, and the kids shrieked with excitement as soon as we walked in. We came from Universal Studios, and it was super convenient to get to the homestay; it was just a 10-minute taxi ride from the hotel lobby, basically the minimum fare. There are two room types in the Phoenix Courtyard, and we stayed in the Black room on the second floor, which was perfect for our two families. It was very quiet at night, and we slept wonderfully. A good soak in the tub after filling it up really helped ease the day's fatigue. Folks, this is a top choice for family trips – no fake photos here, what you see online is exactly what you get, just like the pictures the owner took!

77793****It was freezing outside in winter, but super warm inside – I felt like I could wear a T-shirt, the air conditioning was excellent. The service was generally great. My child threw a beanbag up onto the ceiling, which was about three or four meters high, and the hotel staff even managed to get it down for us. I'm very grateful for that. I deducted 0.5 points for service because the front desk staff seemed clueless; when I asked where to feed the alpacas, they said they didn't know and that it was handled by the hot springs area, implying it wasn't under their management. They mentioned the hot springs and entertainment were outsourced. However, we found the alpacas just a short distance outside the hotel lobby entrance, along with geese, ducks, and chickens. There were three large and two small alpacas, and they were adorable. Do bring them some carrots and greens; they looked quite hungry. For breakfast, go early, before 8 AM, as it's very abundant. If you go later, you'll miss out on the delicious cream cakes. Dinner was a buffet due to New Year's, and the seafood was quite fresh for the hotpot. The hot springs were a bit crowded, but the kids had a good time, mostly hitting each other with ocean balls. There weren't many indoor hot spring pools, making it a bit cramped. The temperatures were all high, but it was very clean. They said there were outdoor pools too, but we didn't go as it was too cold.

MMissminminminFacilities: The facilities are comprehensive, but it would be even better if there were more activities. The children's play area (naughty castle) is a bit small with limited options. Hygiene: The hotel's hygiene is very clean and tidy. I felt safe bringing my child here. Environment: Good. Quiet. Service: Very good. Questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. [Enjoy] All-you-can-eat buffet lunch/dinner for two adults and one child (choose one): Rich and plentiful, quite good! This time I brought my 4-year-old daughter, and the castle-themed room was her absolute favorite. It was decorated in pink and even had a slide. They even provided toiletries for children! It was really nice. My daughter is already looking forward to going back.

ZZhuzezeMy first time here was over 10 years ago for a company meeting, and I stayed in the bamboo house then. Unfortunately, I was too busy with work those two days and didn't get a chance to truly appreciate the scenery. After that, I only stopped by once for a meal in passing. This time, my experience was excellent. I really felt that this is a great place to completely unwind and escape the hustle and bustle, while still being not too far from the city center. The only minor downsides were that the facilities are a bit old, and it would have been perfect if the windows were cleaned more thoroughly. Also, the wild Great Wall that used to be accessible for climbing is now closed, which was a slight disappointment. But overall, these points are negligible. Finally, a big thank you to Olivier, Manager Wang Yuanyuan, and their colleagues for their warm hospitality and thoughtful care, which made our two days here wonderful and unforgettable.

MM0005****The rooms are clean and tidy, and come with a balcony. When checking in, you need to register your vehicle to park in the underground parking lot 🅿️, otherwise, you might be charged a parking fee. We had three king-size rooms, and 1119 had the best view, overlooking the lake from the balcony, with a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The room directly opposite could see the golf course behind, which was great for sunset views. The bathroom and bathtub are in separate spaces opposite each other, designed with two sinks for simultaneous use. The front desk is on the second floor, and the connecting corridor to the hot spring ♨️ is also on the same floor, though it's a bit of a walk. The buffet restaurant is on the first floor. Complimentary fruit was provided in the room.

GGuest UserHygiene: My recent visit to Lanting Hot Spring Hotel coincided with their deep cleaning, and seeing their meticulous work really put guests at ease. Environment: The hotel's lush environment is incredibly pleasant. Service: The staff helped with luggage and guided me on purchasing Mutianyu Great Wall tickets, explaining everything in detail. It truly showed me what excellent service is all about. Their restaurant also serves exceptionally delicious food, highly recommended! Afternoon Tea: High quality.

Jjijing8819The room was quite spacious, and the air conditioning was comfortable. The sofa was a big help when traveling with kids. It was very convenient for going to the hot springs and swimming. Even though it was crowded during the Dragon Boat Festival, the overall experience was still pretty good! We stayed one night and got to enjoy two half-days of activities, leaving us wanting more. Plus, there's a Wanda Plaza nearby with plenty of food and drink options – highly recommend! The breakfast was also quite rich and varied.
