It was 8pm when we arrived. It was dark outside and we were too lazy to go out to find something to eat. We had dinner directly in the hotel. What a surprise. All the food was good and cheap. The yak hotpot was highly recommended. The beef was large and tender. It was very sweet and delicious. In the morning, the brother drove us to Feilai Temple to watch the sunrise over Jinshan Mountain, and drove us back. The service was very good👍

Although I encountered some naughty parents and children on the first night, Ctrip customer service and the boss also actively dealt with it. The Inn is located at the top of the upper Yubeng village. The good point is that you can have a very good unblock view. The downside for now is that you need to climb up from the lower Yubeng or call a car to send you up. But this will not be an issue after the authority completes road construction from Xidang village.
The Inn has its own resturant. My wife and I enjoy the food they serve. It's really one of the better ones in the village.
Part of the Inn is still under construction. It will become nicer after they complete it.
The room price is on a higher end but we enjoyed our stay.

Kim’s Youth Hostel is located in the backyard of Lower Yubeng and offers private ensuite rooms with basic shower amenities. It is about 5 mins walk to the main stretch of restaurants and shops at Lower Yubeng and 10mins walk to the transport pickup area (to Upper Yubeng/ Ninong Village). The room offers some views of the valley but is partially obstructed by buildings in front of it.
Breakfast starts after 7.30am but our plans started earlier. We didn’t get the breakfast but chose to buy a 35rmb sandwich instead. The accommodation does not provide bottled water. Instead, there is a filtered water dispenser at the lobby/dining area to refill your bottles.

It's better than expected. It's very clean. The whole house is smart and has solid wood furniture. It's very warm and soundproof. The best thing is the lawn and the observation deck (with views of Baima Snow Mountain and Deqin County). It's very convenient to shoot stars at night. It's sunny during the day. It’s very good and looks great when taking photos. There is no need to worry about safety on the roadside. The yard is fenced and the door is made of solid wood bolts, which can be bolted very tightly (so tight that sometimes you have to pull hard to open it).
The service was excellent. We didn't meet any ******* ladies when we went there. We were greeted by a big brother. We arrived by bus at 8pm. We were the first to be picked up from the hotel in the whole bus. As soon as we got off the bus, we saw the big brother coming to pick us up. , fruits were given as a gift after check-in. In the morning, our elder brother picked us up when we came to the observation deck. When we came back, we drank a very authentic butter tea (I personally think it tastes sweeter), as well as rice noodles, potatoes, eggs, corn... it was very rich.
I personally think that viewing hotels are quite boring, because when we visited Feilai Temple, viewing hotels are generally small, and the decoration from the outside is a bit rough, and the viewing angle is limited, and you can't see the stars. It is better to find a good place to stay for one night and go to Feilai Temple the next day. Among hotels without a view, this hotel is definitely the first I have ever stayed at.

FFengchuikaliA young ******* couple opened a homestay. Although I stayed there for one day, I deeply felt their simplicity, kindness and thoughtfulness. They knew that we had some altitude sickness, so they sent us butter tea and got up early at 6:30 in the morning to take us to the observation deck to watch the sunrise.
The room has all kinds of facilities, including an oxygen generator, humidifier and Xiaodu remote control~~~
Especially their small yard, where you can drink tea and watch the snow-capped mountains~

GGuest UserMy room was as described. Functional and nice and warm (with heating on) with an excellent hot shower and nice wooden wall beams.
The people who run the place are lovely and also offer nice breakfast options in the morning.
The only small note I have is that (despite best efforts and a very modern ventilation system in the bathroom) the bathroom is already moldy. I understand that it's a challenge to get under control given the climate.
I would stay again next time, and actually spend more than just one night here. There is so much you can explore here!

Instead, they were very enthusiastic! ! After we came back from dinner, we met the boss and his family. They shared nuts and cakes they brought back from Beijing with us, and even opened the refrigerator for us to choose drinks! ! Gave us a whole row of ad calcium! ! ! The ones in the pictures were given by the boss! The room is very good. Because it is a new hotel, the furniture and facilities are all new and the decoration is very beautiful. The room and bathroom are super big and comfortable to stay in. The floor heating is super hot. When we were leaving, the boss’s sister saw that we had booked a chartered car and came over to bargain with us! ! I like the beautiful boss! ! ! I will stay here again next time I have a chance! It felt like I was back in my own country. The quilt was a little heavy, but we slept well.
The restaurant downstairs is delicious and suits our taste very well. We ate there for 2 nights in a row and it was raining after we finished eating.
The food in the restaurant is delicious, and the lady boss is very nice. Regarding the Coke I brought, I just asked if I got it here or if I brought it myself. There was no ill intention at all. I thought it was strictly forbidden to bring your own food.
The inn also has 12 cats, which are so cute. They have cat toys and electric blankets, which is really great in the countryside.
Will recommend it to friends who want to live in Shangyubeng

PPatiphatOverall is vaule for money compared with the other hotels in the neighborhood. The staff is friendly. She explained the necessary things to know of the area and how to use the equipment in the room. The room was a bit old but understandable. There were a heater and bed warmer provided. Only thing to comment are the toletries that came in the a few sachets which will be better if they can provide in the refilled-bottle. Breakfast is normal for us which can be a bit better in terms of variety.
The hotel has a good view at the rooftop but if you want to take a picture of the Snow Mountain, I still recommend to walk 5-minutes to the observation deck.

The hotel also provides breakfast. There is not much to eat around Feilai Temple, so it is just right to eat something after getting up early to watch the sunrise. The boss is very hospitable, and the restaurant also has floor-to-ceiling windows, which is very atmospheric.

GGuest UserYourland Hotel is run and operated by a very hard working lady who essentially does everything herself - from welcoming guests, cooking breakfast, cleaning the rooms and washing the bed sheets & laundry. The rooms are very clean and neatly organised, it has all the comforts that any hiker should need in such a remote location that is high up in the mountains (e.g. electric blankets, warm showers, etc.) Please do note that the warm water does need sometime to reheat especially if another guest takes a shower right away after the first guest. It will not be sufficient time for the water heating machine to heat the water. You should take note of the number that is displayed on the water heater. By default in our room, it showed the number of 44 and after the first guest took the shower, it went down to 19. If someone takes a shower right away at that moment, it will be cold so the next person should wait a bit until the number displayed moves up.
The views in the morning are amazing as you can see the mountain ranges on three different sides so you get a very good panoramic view from the terrace of the hotel. After a long day of hiking, our moods were lightened up when we were welcomed by the friendly and playful Labrador Retriever whose name is Dou Dou. Such a lovely dog ＜3. I would recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a place to stay in Upper Yubeng, it's good base for your planned hikes to the Glacier Lake and Nise Ranch. The place might be a bit difficult to locate if you arrive in Yubeng late at night (like we did since we walked all the way from Ninong, which was really tiring), but once you get the gist of it, it's very easy to remember and locate.

We stayed in Room 202, a view room. The hotel is in the middle of the uphill slope. It’s not a far walk. If you have any luggage, you can ask the boss to help pick it up. There are heating stoves and electric blankets in the hotel. The hardware and hygiene are OK. The hot water is also solar-powered. The water may not be too hot at night, but we didn’t dare to take a shower for fear of altitude sickness. The hotel provides free oxygen and disposable medical respirators. Tube, very clean. The restaurant on the first floor is also very delicious. You can order yak meat and ******* pork barbecue. There is a hidden menu of stir-fried potato pancakes. Friends will still miss them after eating~

The owners are really nice, the room is cute, and the view is beautiful! The beds are comfortable, there's heating and hot water, but the cleanliness isn't perfect.
The biggest problems for us were the wood stove, which made a lot of smoke into our room, and there's no soundproofing at all, which is very disturbing when sleeping at night...
We still had a good stay here, and it's one of the cheapest homestays in Yubeng!

DDevThis is a hostel setup, in a mountain area of upper Yubeng. Surprisingly well maintained. Bed sheets pillow covers are clean. They ate washed and dried everyday. Plenty of hot water for shower.
The staff are polite and friendly.
There is a little mother dog with her three puppies that lives downstairs. She tries quite hard to protect and feed her puppies just like any other mother would do. I bought boiled eggs and fed her a few times. Please look for her and feed her if you can. She is a good mother dog, she needs god food and energy to take care of her puppies.
