Absolute nightmare with self check in
Didn't have the correct booking number as I arrived late.
Fortunately I was shown the intercom and accessed the self booking machine
Very poor instructions and very stressful after a long day's travel.
The room was superb spacious and quiet welcome shower when I eventually got in my room and comfy bed and welcome Aircon.
Breakfast was delicious lots of options and good value.
I am returning in August but reception will be open when I arrive 😄
We spent the night in this hotel. The litter was comfortable.
We were wake up by the outside light because the gardens left the day passing.
We were disappointed because it was impossible to eat in the hotel restaurant and no bar because they were privatized.
Maybe we'll come back, but I'll probably go to another choice.

Right next to Caen train station + coach station, the stairs aisle is narrow, everything else is good, breakfast is good, the guy at the front desk is very gentleman. Fortunately, after changing this one, Caen was remodeling the road, and it was a disaster to take the box and detour.
Very quiet location, in the middle of the countryside, but 15 minutes walk from the shuttle departure to Mont San Michel. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast. Possibility to leave your luggage. Comfortable room with large window.

GGuest UserGood location. Some staff members were very friendly though I could not vouch for all. But overall is fine. One thing I wish, like other before mentioned, that they do a better job to notify customers with driving of the code needed to pass the gate bar get to get to their premises a head of time, by email, for instance. That would save the confusion and inconvenience from the customers who are first time visitors.

GGuest UserEverything is okay for a budget hotel. I have tried this hotel chain before. However, this time it's different because there is a self check in for this branch. I also lost one one of my vanity items. Good thing my other items were not lost. The reception staff were friendly and approachable. Unfortunately, I was not able to raise this concern as I am in a rush for my train.
GGuest UserWalking distance from all attractions within city center. We visited several spots in town and returned to the hotel for a short break. The hotel has no lift! We had to carry our luggages to 3rd floor. Room is compact as expected however the bed is comfortable. Shower and toilet are small. Front staff was helpful as he tried to explain us about the hotel and surrounding in English. He was also kind enough to keep our luggages during our short trip to Mont St Michel.
GGuest UserThis hotel was brilliant in every way - and good value for money too. Don't be put off by the eccentric exterior, because once inside you're greeted by friendly front office staff and in no time are in your well-appointed moderately-sized room. Plenty of off-street parking as well.
The hotel has a well-stocked bar at reasonable prices and an excellent restaurant serving some of the best pizzas and hamburgers in Normandy.
Highly recommended.
GGuest UserHotel itself is a great place for a night, however despite informing the hotel twice via email and on original booking form, i was given a first floor room, despite requesting a ground floor as i was travelling with my 84 year old mother, who has difficulty in negotiating stairs and no elevator was available, so despite the hotel being great, i won’t be staying there again as it’s unreliable to honour requests, very disappointing.

JJGSThe Location is close to train station (5 min. walk) and is actually perfect to explore Deauville/Trouville. Visit the hippodrome in August for the horse race and enjoy a good beer just next to the hotel in Le Joinville. Staff could be a bit more friendly, rooms are poorly soundproofed. The “private” toilet was outside of the room, something I will pay more attention to next time.
IIan JamesIts exactly what you pay for - booked 4 days but stayed just one night - we booked into another hotel thats more family friendly
If your travelling and do not mind basic accommodation then this is the place for you
The rooms are smaller than they look on the website
Its so cheap so i cant complain- lesson learned
GGuest UserHello, we were very disappointed with our room upon arrival.
The room had no television, not a chair, no table, no coat rack, no towel rack, no low lighting, just a large fluorescent tube.
So we had to put everything on the floor, and the smell of Marseille soap was overwhelming.
We were very disappointed to have booked this room.
The room was clean, and fortunately, we received a very warm welcome and understanding from the receptionist that weekend.
We do not recommend this hotel and will not return.
It is better to book a studio with a TV or stay at the Birgit.
A little more, we would have changed hotels.
Good luck to the entire team.
Sincerely,
