It was a great experience to stay in the middle of Cairo The location was very good for us to visit the Egyptian museum, Al Azhar and old Egypt. We visited pyramids after that we travelled to Alexandria to make a tour. The reception team was helpful to keep our luggage at the hotel until we came back from Alex. Finally we would like to thank reception staff and House keeping for keeping our room tidy and clean , we wish to come back again to Egypt next year with our friends

People working in this hostel is so kind to guests and always helping. Khalid is such polite, kind and smiley faces, guys with fluffy hairs also kind, helpful and nice. And girl from South Africa is such a beautiful as face and character like Egpytian God. Ladies cleaning the rooms they so kind. They are very nice. Since i had limited time in Cairo and visited the city all day, i couldn't spend more time as expected, i really could wish to spend more time with them. High recommmended.

Me and my girlfriend are travelling to Egypt and after being told by our originally booked hotel that out room was not available anymore (upon landing in Cairo) we have been given the lastminute choice to stay at Cecilia hotel by Booking.com. Luckily the destiny has done things right!! Attentive and very friendly people run this little hotel in Cairo downtown, close to centre, museums, shops, restaurants, cafe in a very safe area to go around in couple or solo. Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and breakfast with a beautiful terrace where to spend the evening drinking something and meeting new people. Room was clean and good for 2 star hotel. Absolutely recommended and will come back!

Facilities: It is quite complete, with everything. Anyway, sleeping is no problem. There is still time, and the main thing is to have fun. Other things are not important. There's no room service in the room, no communication with the inhabitants of the room, no interest in my uncle's death for three days in the hotel, and they only knew it after the smell came out, and the hotel manager was a morally immoral summit, and he didn't cooperate with the parents to provide help, rather than to provide assistance, a compensation request, and his way is unrespectable. One of the staff tried to get rid of us, and the hotel is completely unclean, I hope the manager is the responsibility.

Very nice little boutique hotel! Price is very reasonable - also, it's not a hostel as we would know a hostel in the UK. There are 10 rooms in the hotel, every one of them with private bathroom. - Breakfast was fresh every day. - Room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels and bed sheets. - Customer service was brilliant, the reception team was always helpful and nice. - The room was not super big, but comfortable enough for 2 people (we had a balcony for breakfast). - Perfect location, next to the museum and gov. Bazaar. Also plenty of restaurants nearby. - Only downside is that you can hear the traffic from the room, as Egyptians love to honk!

This is a place where you can relax in an East Asian atmosphere while in Egypt. The owner responds well when you contact him, and the room was clean, cute, and spacious. You can use the washing machine for free, which was perfect for organizing your luggage before leaving the country. Room service offers Chinese food, and the taste reminded me of home, which was a relief. Early morning check-out was also no problem, and it's a place I'd like to stay at again.

N times better than I thought. The house is big. In the new Egyptian villa area, within3KM from the large shopping mall. The boss is Chinese. It is convenient to communicate. I also sent me a carton packaged gift to return home. I will stay here next time! The bath water is particularly large 24h hot water. Unlike other bath hotels in Egypt, the water is very small. It is recommended to stay!

Our experience with Meramees hostel was a pleasant one. I visited Cairo with my parents therefore we wanted to feel safe and to be taken care of, considering that Cairo is such a big, crowded city. The staff made sure that we had everything we needed, helped us with information, with airport transportation and some trips outside of Cairo. 10/10 for the staff! We didn't feel pressured to book trips with them, we even had a couple of days during which we made our own schedule. The trips organized by them where good, informative and friendly. We thank Talek, the tour guide we had in Alexandria, and of course many thanks to Talaat, the driver who took us in all our trips and from/to the airport. Regarding the accomodation the rooms where fine, clean with decent AC and WiFi (considering that we were here in July we wouldn't have made it without an AC). We even had our rooms cleaned (bed sheets, towels, everything), but you just need to ask at the reception for this. Breakfast was really good and big! :) I personally don't mind the building, there is someone downstairs near the elevator always keeping an eye on the building so I didn't feel unsafe or something like that. Yes, it is an old building, but all the buildings from downtown are the same so don't expect a new block of flats. The most amazing part is that you only have to walk 10 minutes to reach the Egyptian Museum and Tahrir Square. Hopefully you'll enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Very nice hostel for Egyptian conditions. Sensational service, great location by the metro lines in the very center and good connection to Giza. Very helpful staff, suggests how to visit well. There are different rooms. 3-person mix as well as private rooms with their own bathroom even for whole families. Recommended. The price is sensational, adequate for Egypt. In the area the best place, although not the only one of course.

I came to Egypt in a hurry and found a local B&B in Hongshu for a few minutes. I didn't expect that the experience was surprisingly good.
