Holy Sheet Hostel
4/544 Reviews
This hostel has a good location and I would say that it is pretty walkable in the early morning and very late at night but the walking infrastructure is not the best in Cairo. Mid day the traffic makes it very tricky to walk around even though there are many good restaurants and attractions nearby. Finding it is a little tricky but it is down an alley that doesn't allow cards and it is located on floor 2 of an older building. There is an elevator but all doors and gates need to be closed in order for it to work and we found guests at the hostel weren't good at closing after themselves. The staff are very kind and welcoming but we got a bit hung up on the payment. We booked on Trip with the ”Pay at the Hotel” option for 3100 Egyptian pounds for three nights in a private room but they were asking for 3600 when we were checking in. After a little back and forth they let us check in and gave us the keys so we could rest and wait for the manager's answer. The manager said no to our booked rate, we were told we booked on Expedia and we now had to pay 3900 Egyptian pounds. I'm at a loss of words for this discrepancy between Trip and the hostel but there weren't better deals in the area we wanted to stay and we very reluctantly paid. The room was just a place to sleep with a box to the side where our shower and toilet were. The box had no ceiling or ventilation so there were smells throughout the room from the drains. The beds were comfy but were not completely clean when we arrived - there was hairs in the bed sheets. The room cleanliness overall could have been better. The area is quiet at night and we got a good night's rest to spend our days exploring Cairo. The breakfast was ok but there wasn't much room to eat in the common areas during our stay so we asked for breakfast in our room during our stay. We had a simple breakfast with a fried egg, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, banana, tea/coffee and Arabic bread. It is enough to get you through until lunch and is served starting at 8 pm. There is a convenience store close by that offers fairly priced snacks and drinks which you might want to seek out because they do not provide water at this hostel. We hope this property improves because it seems like it used to be really good and the location is good as well.
Cairo Paradise Hotel

I travelled in Egypt through April into early May, a good time to undertake the journey before the onslaught of intense summer heat. I am sole, independent traveller in my seventies and had pre-conceived ideas regarding the places I wanted to see and had researched modes of transportation. I arrived at Cairo Paradise Hotel, for which I have utmost praise. From reception to house-keeping, the staff are unfailingly courteous and helpful. My month in Cairo coincided with Ramadan and I was invited to partake of the evening meal at the break of fast. Ready to embark on my explorations, I soon realised that due to distances and piecing together public transport, considerable time and effort would need to be expended. I outlined my places to see wish list to Amr, the Hotel Touring Manager, who, with diligence application tailor-made an itinerary, including events and places off the ”tourist track” with drivers and at times, a guide. All came seamlessly to fruition with meetings at airports or train stations never failing to eventuate, at surprisingly low cost. I feel that I have captured the ”Essence of Egypt.”

Museum Plaza Hostel

Very nice little boutique hotel! Price is very reasonable - also, it's not a hostel as we would know a hostel in the UK. There are 10 rooms in the hotel, every one of them with private bathroom. - Breakfast was fresh every day. - Room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels and bed sheets. - Customer service was brilliant, the reception team was always helpful and nice. - The room was not super big, but comfortable enough for 2 people (we had a balcony for breakfast). - Perfect location, next to the museum and gov. Bazaar. Also plenty of restaurants nearby. - Only downside is that you can hear the traffic from the room, as Egyptians love to honk!

Lemon Tree & Home

N times better than I thought. The house is big. In the new Egyptian villa area, within3KM from the large shopping mall. The boss is Chinese. It is convenient to communicate. I also sent me a carton packaged gift to return home. I will stay here next time! The bath water is particularly large 24h hot water. Unlike other bath hotels in Egypt, the water is very small. It is recommended to stay!
New Cairo xinhua hotel

The room was very luxurious, spacious and had a palace feel to it. The room, sheets, and towels were all very clean. There were bottled water, toothbrushes, shampoo, and shower gel, which I appreciated. The Chinese food is also very delicious, which makes me very happy. Especially fried eggplant is the best. We also had white rice, which is great for Japanese people. I had an early flight and couldn't get to the hotel until breakfast time, so they let me have dinner from the night before. Thank you for your flexible response. The shower room, toilet and washbasin are in the same space. Japanese people may not be used to it, but once they get used to it, the hot water comes out and it is very comfortable. I'm Japanese and only speak a little Chinese and English, but I can communicate very well. I would stay here again if I came to Cairo and I would recommend it to Japanese people. The house is luxurious and the palace is touching. The house, シーツ, and タオルは are cleaned. Chinese cuisine is delicious and delicious Special stir-fried eggplant is the best Morning breakfast, Morning food time, Morning food time, Morning food time, Morning food time, Morning food time, Morning food time, Morning food time, Morning food timeれました Thank you for the opportunity. シャワーがトイレと Same as the じスペースなのでJapanese は小し Make いcustom れませんが、customary れればきちんとおSoup も出るIt's comfortable Private Japanese で し の Chinese と English し か で き ま せ ん が コ ミ ュ ニ ケ ー シ ョ ン は TEN で す.
Cecilia Hostel

Me and my girlfriend are travelling to Egypt and after being told by our originally booked hotel that out room was not available anymore (upon landing in Cairo) we have been given the lastminute choice to stay at Cecilia hotel by Booking.com. Luckily the destiny has done things right!! Attentive and very friendly people run this little hotel in Cairo downtown, close to centre, museums, shops, restaurants, cafe in a very safe area to go around in couple or solo. Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and breakfast with a beautiful terrace where to spend the evening drinking something and meeting new people. Room was clean and good for 2 star hotel. Absolutely recommended and will come back!
Freedom Hostel

Excepcional estadía en Freedom Hostel. Totalmente recomendado. Infinitas gracias Eslam!!! H
Safary Hotel

Facilities: It is quite complete, with everything. Anyway, sleeping is no problem. There is still time, and the main thing is to have fun. Other things are not important. The sanitary conditions are acceptable. The environment is just like that. It is close to everything, very convenient, and the service is OK and quite enthusiastic.
