BBingbingle、The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking. The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed. The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Tinghua Island Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Shuanglang. The location is excellent, situated just off the walking street of Shuanglang, making it very convenient while still feeling peaceful and private. Although the resort is not directly accessible by car, this was not an issue at all as the staff were there to help bring our luggage straight to the room. From the drop-off point, it is only a short and pleasant 5–10 minute walk. The resort itself is quaint, beautifully designed, and feels newly renovated. I really appreciated the thoughtful little amenities provided in the room — these small touches made the stay feel extra special. The room was spotless, very comfortable, and the bed was especially cozy, which made for a great night’s rest. One of the highlights of the stay was the superb view from the 270-degree view room, located right next to the lake. Waking up to such a breathtaking view was truly unforgettable. The service from the caretaker was exceptional — super helpful, friendly, and very responsive on WeChat, which made communication easy and efficient throughout the stay. Another lovely surprise was the generous afternoon tea provided. It came with a wide variety of fruits, desserts, rose tea, and yoghurt — honestly substantial enough to be a meal on its own. They also thoughtfully provided evening desserts, which was another lovely touch. An interesting of the experience was the complimentary photoshoot, complete with dresses for guests to change into. This was such a thoughtful addition and made the stay feel even more special. I’m usually someone who stays in branded hotels for the comfort and reliability, but this resort truly ticks all the boxes for me — comfort, service, location, and experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shuanglang.

GGail Leong Li Litruly a bespoke Hotel with the warmest feeling of home and sincerest female staff. Every nooks and corners spelt quite luxury and tasteful finishing. Kind hospitality of the best team in Anyu, the twinkling eyes of Claire if not mistaken her name always in beaming smile and Eveready to serve, KK was equally helpful as well as few others female staff. we truly enjoyed ourselves with the matrons of the house! Not only they were helpful, they knew their competitors well when i enquired their assistance to make reservations for me in Daji and Sisan. These few girls represent Anyu ambassadors, deserve accolades! Anyu a hidden gem, we will be back! Our experiences in Anyu Dali leads us to explore and view Anyu Lijiang where we will stays on our next visit. keep up the good work, Anyu we trust!

AAnonymous UserExceeded expectations! The room was fully equipped, comfortable, and luxurious. Staying with my whole family felt just like being at home. The hotel view is superb, with Erhai Lake right in front of you, and the massive windows offer panoramic views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake! The staff were attentive, detailed, and warm. We immediately decided to extend our stay for another night! We checked in on New Year's Eve, and we were able to watch the entire drone show and fireworks from the balcony, making for a very happy stay. The kids and seniors all loved it! Welcome fruit and goodnight desserts were all provided, and breakfast was abundant!

MMrJacksonXFirst off, the hotel's location is fantastic. It's just a short walk to Cang'er Avenue, and right outside, there are electric scooters available for rent and return via QR code – super convenient! Dali Ancient City isn't too far, but walking is out of the question. Taxis feel a bit unnecessary, so the electric scooters are perfect (they have plenty of charge and are quite zippy, so do ride safely!). The hotel's interior, especially the garden, is incredibly clean and elegant, almost giving off a Jiangnan garden vibe. Secondly, the service is genuinely excellent. From the moment we arrived (we took a taxi directly into the underground garage; the hotel doesn't have an elevator, but there's a service bell. Before we even pressed it and while unloading luggage, a female and two male staff members appeared – incredibly prompt response!). After check-in (during which they offered tea, water, and hot towels), they personally escorted us all the way to our room. Throughout our stay, whenever we went down to the lobby, whether for breakfast or heading out, the concierge and other staff would spot us from afar, stand up, greet us, and be ready to assist. While I'm sure it's due to rigorous training, honestly, their attitude didn't feel like a chore at all, which is truly commendable. One more thing I want to highlight: the female staff member who makes the rice noodles for breakfast left a particularly strong impression on me. From the moment you tell her what you want, she very earnestly and cheerfully prepares it while explaining that the broth is already salted, so you can add less yourself, and describes the characteristics of each topping. To make something so simple so professional and heartfelt, I was truly impressed! If I ever come back to Dali, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. (^.^)

XXiyeyingThe service was absolutely amazing, from the moment we arrived until we left, they helped us with our two large suitcases. They brought us afternoon tea snacks and late-night sweet soups. Our butler, a lovely young lady, was incredibly kind and friendly, and went above and beyond to fulfill all our requests. A big thumbs up to her! The hotel environment is fantastic, with countless beautiful sea view photo spots. Our room was fully automated with smart controls, and all amenities were provided. I highly recommend this place!

AAnonymous User1. **Check-in Area:** The check-in counter, or front desk, was quite shabby. The computer keyboard was practically caked in grime, and don't even get me started on the sofa next to it – it looked very unhygienic. 2. **Dining:** The breakfast area was a bit cramped, with just four small tables by the street. If you're a party of more than two, you'd have to sit separately, or you might even have to stand and wait for a table. The coffee, however, was good. I only had breakfast once: a cold quinoa salad (see Photo 6) served with bread that had an overpowering artificial creamer flavor. I had been looking forward to the rice noodles for the next day, but serving didn't start until 8:30 AM, which was far too late for my rumbling stomach. Early risers and those who prefer hot meals should seriously consider other options or make alternative arrangements. 3. **Room (2nd floor) - Noise Issues:** Don't even think about getting any sleep at night. After 11 PM, there was still noise along the street, along with the clanging of the garbage truck. (Seriously, I'd strongly advise against staying in the Old Town.) The next day, it started pouring before dawn, and the sound of the heavy rain kept me awake as well. 4. **Room - Facility Issues:** The room I stayed in was supposedly the quietest in the entire hotel. It featured a large bathtub and a bathroom where the toilet and shower area lacked wet/dry separation. Unable to deal with the wet floor, I decided to shower in the bathtub. That's when I discovered Problem #1: the glass partition was completely transparent, with no curtain or frosted glass. The staff member claimed this was 'design.' Then came Fatal Problem #2: the bathtub had no running water, haha! 😄 5. **Room - Odor Issues:** Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. The staff claimed it was due to 'raw wood,' but it's been 8 years and it still smells like that? Quite amusing. 6. **Staff (Pre-Check-in):** Before I even checked in, they asked me to cancel my booking on the platform and pay them privately for a discounted rate. I have this in writing. This is definitely a huge red flag, and I'm surprised they even dared to suggest it. 7. **Staff (General):** The individuals themselves were nice enough, but I was surprised to find that all the 'Jixiashan' staff were quite young, without uniforms, and seemingly without direct supervision, which gave a very disorganized and casual impression. 8. **Housekeeping:** I was quite satisfied with the housekeeping. Seeing the clean duvet and towels gave me peace of mind (P.S. the pillows were also comfortable). The hotel's facilities are very old; no matter how clean the bathroom tiles were, they still looked run-down, compounded by the dim lighting. Therefore, I feel the housekeeping staff here really have a tough job. 9. **Building Structure:** One morning, during a heavy downpour, when I opened my 2nd-floor room door, the entrance was essentially flooded up to my heels. It was quite a feat that the water didn't spread into the room. At night, there were no lights, so I had to grope my way back to the room along the dark corridor. It would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't remember their way (see Photos 1-2). 10. **Hotel Amenities:** One night, I heard the guest next door return, unable to open their door with the key, and had to call a staff member for help. They chatted for a bit outside the door before the staff member finally told the guest a 'trick': 'The key needs to be inserted a certain way, and the lock has a particular mechanism...' That's quite a struggle – needing a special technique just to get back to your room! 11. **Minor Details:** The room key had a very large, bulky leather tag attached to it. Absolutely no consideration for travelers on long journeys with limited luggage space. Who would want to carry such a bulky thing around? I originally had high hopes for the 'Jixiashan' brand. When I was in Shangri-La, I heard their Meili store had a collaboration with Kolon, which made me think they had good taste. This Dali Ancient City location is their first store, but it turned out to be such a low standard. Given the daily rate, I guess I understand why. This particular store cannot be found on 'Jixiashan's' mini-program; it's categorized under 'Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Le'.

GGuest UserAs someone who loves taking photos, the estate itself is a natural studio: the sea-view soaking tubs, the retro French-style corridors, the South France castle, the exotic Moroccan courtyard – everywhere is perfect for snapping pictures. I took so many beautiful photos, I'm thrilled! I especially want to commend the service: airport transfers, help with luggage, afternoon tea, goodnight desserts, breakfast, and a dedicated private butler service group. The attention to detail was impeccable, and they were always ready to assist! My dress for photos got dirty dragging on the ground, and they even helped me wash and dry it. All the hotel staff were so warm; I truly felt like a VIP.

GGuest UserBooked 6 rooms for 2 nights for our Chinese New Year trip. It was perfect for the elderly because it's nestled in the mountains, far from the city center, offering great peace and quiet. The rooms were lovely, designed like a resort, and the service was excellent too.

GGuest UserAkathitya Boutique Hotel really impressed me! The room was spotless and bright. The restaurant food was also excellent with a wide variety of dishes and beautiful presentation. The ambiance was lovely too. What truly stood out was their amazing service; they contacted us in advance to arrange pick-up and drop-off, constantly checked in on our needs, and even helped us with our luggage to the room – truly wonderful, I give them a big thumbs up! I've already recommended it to all my friends and will definitely be back!
