He immediately shared tips on local must-visit spots and dining options on the nearby street, even giving a brief introduction to the unique features of Changbai Mountain. The legendary hospitality of Northeasterners was immediately evident! The hydrangeas lining the streets were absolutely gorgeous, adorning the entire block, truly brightening my mood. The front desk attendant was lovely. The absolute best part is how incredibly safe the area feels. With the Public Security Bureau, a military administrative zone, and the City Procuratorate all nearby, solo female travelers can feel completely at ease. It's also very close to the North Slope shuttle center; I just walked there. Visiting during the off-peak season this time of year allowed me to fully experience the beautiful golden autumn of Changbai Mountain in September. The weather was perfect, neither too cold nor too hot, and I got to admire the stunning beauty of Tianchi Lake."

"We booked two 'Zen Courtyard' rooms, but were expecting the pointed cabins depicted in the online photos. It turned out we were assigned loft townhouses instead. The manager explained that the cabins are actually villas. I'd suggest ensuring the online descriptions and photos are consistent. The rooms were well-equipped, featuring a washing machine, laundry detergent, and a mini-fridge – everything needed for a comfortable vacation. The courtyard was home to adorable cats, always eager for cuddles. Breakfast was incredibly generous, served as individual sets, with very fresh fruit. The manager was exceptionally friendly and enthusiastic, providing excellent recommendations for local attractions."

The porridge service, which starts at 9:30 PM, was excellent. The pickup service was also great, and all the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The laundry room was the best part of this hotel. It was better than any other luxury hotel. The weather was good, so we were able to see Cheonji. Good luck to everyone."

"Our stay at Changbaishan Huazhu Hotel was a delightful surprise! Traveling during the off-season offered fantastic value for money, and our whole family even received a complimentary room upgrade.
The hotel boasts a 'light luxury' design, offering a perfect balance of sophistication and warmth. Both the older and younger members of our family absolutely adored it! The breakfast was a highlight for me – it was exquisite and catered to all tastes. Every member of our family, from young to old, found something they loved.
What was most convenient was that the Enduli performance venue was just a short walk away in the evening. The show perfectly blends folk culture with stunning visual and auditory effects. The adults enjoyed the lively spectacle, while the kids were fascinated by the new experience – our whole family had an absolutely wonderful time!
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a family trip to Changbaishan, especially during the off-season. With fewer crowds, the experience is even better, and both the service and environment are truly top-notch!"

"The service was excellent, and there's a high-speed rail station shuttle service, but be sure to ask in advance. The environment is also nice, and the courtyard view is stunning. It was a wonderful trip.
However, none of the hotel's air conditioners worked. When it got too hot, I had to open the screens for ventilation. Across from the hotel, there's a Northeastern Chinese restaurant that plays mind-blowing music until around 8:00 AM. The first night I checked in was a bit annoying. It was cool outside, but the room was scorching. The air conditioner wouldn't turn on cold air, and it was noisy with the windows open! It was even hot with the windows closed! The front desk staff kept blasting music the first night, and I could hear it from the rooms on the third floor. It lasted until 11:00 AM, but I couldn't sleep even if I tried to go to bed early. The next day, they didn't play music until late...
Changbai Mountain is certainly cool outside in September, but the hotel room was stuffy. After going out and coming back home, I felt noticeably hot. I didn't need the air conditioner most of the time, but when it got hot, it was unbearable without it. I woke up from the heat the first night without opening the windows, and the next day, I woke up with the noise. 😅
Aside from the air conditioner not working, which significantly impacted my experience, the hotel was quite good."

"A fairly standard hotel. It's a bit of a distance from the main transport hub, so it's quiet but lacks vibrancy. There's an eatery not far behind the hotel that serves fantastic fish. The place was clean, and the breakfast selection was quite good. However, the room was small, the window view was obstructed, and the price wasn't low, leading to poor value for money. Downstairs, there are local specialty stores and a supermarket, making it convenient for basic shopping. For a proper shopping mall, you'll need to drive to the town center."

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious and had a pleasant, fresh smell. The pillows were too soft for my preference, but everything else was great. The hairdryer was pretty standard, but it worked fine. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The staff service was also very warm and welcoming. The slippers provided were incredibly comfortable – soft and thick. You can arrange for a pickup service from the station/airport directly with the hotel.

JJuanjuanerThe hotel is located within a residential community, likely consisting of privately-owned units rented out and furnished as hotel apartments. The apartment itself was genuinely spacious, and the decor was very tasteful. Though listed as 90 sq.m., it felt more like 150-160 sq.m. in reality, even with one bedroom and one bathroom locked off. Our family of three booked two units and felt it was a bit wasteful given how large they were. Each unit had a 2.2-meter king-size bed, a large sofa, and a tatami area by the window, offering plenty of places to relax – a family of three would have no trouble staying comfortably. The hot spring pools were on the smaller side and quite crowded. We arrived somewhat late and only managed a brief soak. The hotel requires a 300 RMB security deposit. Check-out was very convenient; we simply left our key card and departed without waiting. If there were no extra charges, the deposit was refunded to the original payment method on the same afternoon. If this arrangement is a concern, please take note.

IivyjunI booked a triple room, which had two bedrooms, a major advantage. The room was spacious, with a 1.8-meter bed and automatic curtains. The wet and dry areas were separate, and it was about a 10-minute walk from the distribution center. The Erdaobai River is nearby, and a morning stroll along its banks is very pleasant. Taxis were readily available outside of peak season. This is a guesthouse, and while the facilities were initially quite good, there's room for improvement in maintenance and cleanliness. There were small insects on the window frames, the bathroom ventilation was faulty, there was some hair on the sheets, the TV required payment, and the internet connection was unreliable. The breakfast buffet was filling, but the taste was disappointing; the shredded meat was tough, except for the salted duck egg and millet porridge. Bottled water was self-service on the first floor. The service can't be compared to a star-rated hotel, but the female receptionist was quite welcoming.

SSH.1The first visit to this hotel was full of warmth and overwhelming hospitality. I still can't forget how they welcomed us the moment we arrived at the hotel.
Firstly, we were overwhelmed by the staff
during our arrival. They all came out to greet us and help with our luggages and belongings all the way in to the hotel.
Secondly, with the seamless check in to our rooms and fruit platter, every gesture was well thought by the hosts.
Thirdly, they prepared a sumptuous dinner for us. Simple local delicacies yet tasted really good. The number of ginsengs in the appetiser surprised us! From the portion to the presentation of food, we can taste the difference and feel they put in their heart to make everything better. Lady boss was generous to treat us a bottle of local rice wine during our mealtime. Tasted really good and special! We like that drink!!
Additionally, we were asked for timing to eat breakfast and they would prepare that before our specific timing. They even asked us for our preference and customise breakfast for us. Breakfast was served and tasted as good as dinner! Freshly prepared and done meticulously by the kitchen.
Lastly, lady boss gave us an impromptu complimentary tea session after dinner. A unique and interesting experience indeed. Never seen and tried it before. It's a heating device with net on it, put the heating pot for stirring and cooking our own tea from scratch. Meanwhile, we have the finger snacks and nuts to roast on the heating rack (as shown in the pictures) while waiting for our tea.
In between, they would guide us how to prepare the tea. It was a chill and relaxing session. We enjoyed chit chatting while roasting our tea in the cafe. It felt so warmth especially when it was snowing heavily outside. The vibes were superb!
I had many enquiries and the lady at the counter helped me out a lot without hesitation. She tried all her means to help us. The lady at the hot spring was very friendly and provide good services too!
The staff from the hot spring, restaurant, concierge, driver and even lady boss all were very attentive, friendly and nice at any point of time during our stay. Pretty impressive indeed. Giving all credits to every single staff. Amazing team!
They gave us more than we could ever imagined from services to food to hospitality. Thank you for giving us an amazing and memorable stay! Overall it was a great and enjoyable stay at this hotel. Definitely recommend everyone to visit them and feel their positive energy. Certainly can't wait for our next visit to Chang Bai Shan again!!!

10 min car ride from chang bai shan railway station.
Issues I faced : there is a huge taxi shortage in the city during the peak tourist season, one days even i had to walk 3.3 kilometres in - 15 degrees temperatures to reach to downtown , DIDI and T3 service works here but taxi waiting is normally 40 min to 1 hour long.
As a forigner the Hotel location was little odd for me and lots of precious time wasted in taxi waiting, breakfast location is 300 metres far from room, which was not convenient as me and family didn't want to walk in - 20 degree temperature to eat breakfast, I stayed 5 days, but only 2 days I dare to go for breakfast.
For stay this place is so good, so clean, warm. If you have your car, then no issue at all.

作为外国人，酒店位置对我来说有点奇怪，很多宝贵的时间浪费在出租车等待上，早餐地点距离房间 300 米远，这很不方便，因为我和家人不想在零下 20 度的气温下走进去吃早餐，我住了 5 天，但只有 2 天我敢去吃早餐。
住宿方面，这个地方非常好，非常干净、温暖。如果您有车，那就完全没有问题。

ZZziinnee1212312121i'm not chinese and cant speak chinese so i can't communicate with front office to pick me up from trainstation so i use taxi from Changbai train station to this hotel with cost 100 yuan.
when arrive, a young chinese women in tradition korean custome greeted me so well. she try to communicate with me and friend by wechat. made me so impressed.
i went ski and the receptionist arrange ski class and ski suit rental for us.

GGuest UserThe room was very clean and tidy, and breakfast was prepared for us to go out and play with a full stomach. The environment of the restaurant on the 8th floor is particularly good. When the weather is good, you can directly see Changbai Mountain. When we were eating, it was snowing outside, and there were birch forests outside, which made us feel very happy. We checked in very late, and the front desk sister Jiang waited for us very patiently. She was very warm-hearted and recommended us many fun places. She was also very patient and actively helped us solve any difficulties and needs. It can be said that with the help of sister Jiang, we had more fun. I heard that there are hot springs, but we arrived too late and didn't soak in them. It was a bit regretful, but the environment of the hotel and sister Jiang's service made up for this regret.

We booked the Gyegok trekking through Trip.com, but as foreigners, we had trouble communicating with the trekking company. The manager helped us, and we had a wonderful time that will remain a pleasant memory.
If we have the chance to come to Changbai Mountain again, we would definitely choose this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. We are truly grateful for the warm hearts of all the staff.
Also, grilling skewers and enjoying a glass of soju in the hotel parking lot was an unforgettable delight.

GGuest UserThe experience of booking Gem Hotel on Ctrip far exceeded my expectations and made me deeply feel the warmth and meticulousness of ”feeling at home”. From the moment I made the reservation, Gem Hotel's customized butler service was activated in advance. They took the initiative to contact me and carefully asked if I needed pick-up service from the high-speed rail station. This precautionary care made my heart warm even before I arrived.
After arriving at the hotel, the enthusiasm of the front desk staff was even more impressive. Not only were they smiling, but they also carefully observed that I was bringing my child with me, and then thoughtfully upgraded me to a parent-child room for free.
