"The hotel we booked this time is a century-old building near Harbin Station, making it very convenient for commuting by subway. This two-story building, once the hotel of the Middle East Railway Bureau, may seem unassuming from the outside, but it's truly remarkable. The interior features classic Russian architecture, with antique revolving doors and a spacious staircase, solid wood wall panels in the hallways and rooms, a high vaulted ceiling in the restaurant, and an old fireplace in the lobby—everything reflects its former glory. I absolutely loved it!
The service was warm and attentive, the room was well-equipped, and the breakfast was a set meal. It was clean, simple, and adequate, and it was a great value for money."

"Although we stayed in a basement room this time, the Smart Choice King Room we booked was surprisingly well-lit and very spacious. It was impeccably clean every day, completely odor-free, and the bathroom had excellent water pressure. "My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Jenjue Boutique Hotel in Harbin, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
Firstly, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The front office team was always approachable, ready to assist with questions, and patient in guiding us on directions and local addresses. Their warm hospitality truly made us feel welcome.
The hotel's breakfast was cost-efficient, delicious, and nutritious. I appreciated the variety, as they prepared different meals each day. Plus, the complimentary bottled water was a nice touch—just ask the front office staff, and they will be more than happy to provide it.
Location-wise, Jenjue Boutique Hotel couldn't be more convenient. It's just a short walk to Wanda Plaza and various shopping malls, and the subway station is only about five minutes away, making it easy to explore the city.

"I brought my 8-year-old child to Harbin for a few days. To ensure comfortable sleep, I specifically chose a twin room, which would allow my child to sleep separately (with beds at least 1.35 meters wide). After much careful consideration, I selected Liyi Hotel. Its location is indeed excellent; Central Street is just a short walk to the right from the entrance, making shopping very convenient. Complimentary bottled water is available for unlimited taking right by the check-in desk. Evening congee service starts at 8 PM, offering congee, side dishes, red sausage, and watermelon, which is a nice addition to the evening meal options.
Now for the downsides. We opted for a family twin room. Within two minutes of entering, I found a bug by the bed – it resembled a cockroach but moved slower. I quickly squashed it. While crouching down, I also noticed some fine hairs, which immediately disgusted me. When making the bed for my child, I discovered brownish-red, unwashed bloodstains on both the duvet cover and the bedsheet. 😱 Pulling back the curtains, there was not only no view but it also felt like a derelict construction site. The absolute worst part was that construction started just after 5 AM, with incessant banging and drilling noises. The entire family was up by 6 AM. We went to the front desk to request a room change, only to be told that their repeated calls to the police had been ineffective, and that guests should call the police themselves... Absolutely outrageous! The breakfast selection was average, with largely the same items every day. The lack of fruit was a definite minus; this is quite unacceptable, especially considering our room rate was nearly 900, possibly even 1000 RMB for two nights. At least they offered freshly brewed coffee, which was a small consolation.
The above reflects the actual situation; I'm merely providing a heads-up for future guests."

They all appear in the right place at the best time, just beautiful! 😊3️⃣ Meals, you can have everything you want to eat for breakfast. They are the most basic. The fried eggs are the boss's mother is 81 years old. The red sausage is customized by the boss. The taste is very good. There are no preservatives. Stir-fried dishes and cold dishes are all Northeast flavor. I love to eat stewed vermicelli with pickled cabbage. I actually ate a plate by myself. The bread is whole wheat, delicious, and the juice is The black currant has a little wine flavor, which shows that it has not been added! 👍👍👍4️⃣ I put the accommodation in the back because it is really comfortable. The mattress is imported from Italy, the toilet is smart, and the headboard is a 10cm thick wooden board, which is Okan, which is very precious. I like the shower curtain very much, velvet. The location of this hotel is excellent—right on Zhongyang Street and also close to the Songhua River. However, it’s a bit of a walk from the airport bus drop-off point. If you’re not carrying a large suitcase, the walk is quite manageable.
The check-in experience wasn’t the best, as I didn’t find the male receptionist particularly welcoming. However, the female staff members were much more attentive. The room was clean, smelled nice, and felt very comfortable. What really stood out to me was the housekeeping staff—especially a short-haired lady who was incredibly kind and genuinely attentive. She even made an effort to communicate with me, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for her name.
Another staff member, a female receptionist with glasses, was also very helpful during check-out. I had quite a few questions, and she, along with two other female receptionists on duty at the time, took great care of me.
And I have to mention the little delivery robot—I absolutely loved it! Such a fun and convenient touch.
Overall, despite a small hiccup at check-in, my stay was very pleasant. If I have the chance, I would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThe hotel provides a free airport transfer service “to” and “from” the hotel. Even though we didn’t have internet connection, the staff was able to pick us up at the right time and the overall process was smooth. Thanks a lot for helping to arrange this.
P.S. We requested for the airport transfer service before the trip through WeChat. The staff doesn’t speak English so please be prepared to communicate in Chinese.

We checked in on the 21/6/24 and booked for 2 nights .
It was a good and warm experience on checking in.The front desk staff were courteous , and efficient..
There was one smartly dressed plumb young man standing beside the receptionist . We were enquiring about the where/what /when /How of Harbin . On hearing us , he immediately came up to us and started explaining to us .
After dropping our luggages n bags into our family room , we startour city tour, so I requested for help at the front desk.

As we (3 senior aunties in their sixties/seventies ) were not familiar with the e-calling of Chinese “taxi/grab” ,we requested the front desk for assistance.

It is very close to Songhua River and Central Avenue, and can be reached in a few minutes on foot. It is also very fast to go to Volga Manor and Siberian Tiger Park. The attitude of the hotel staff is also good. Disadvantages: The hygiene of the room is average, and the room is very small. Anyway, I can't accept it. I have stayed in many hotels, but I have never had this feeling. On the first night, I took off my shoes and packed my luggage in socks. My socks were black. I wiped them several times with my own wet wipes, and they were all black. Thinking that it is difficult to book a hotel during the Spring Festival, I was too lazy to change. The next day I went out to ask for cleaning, and when I came back, I found that the sheets had not been changed because there was a place that I accidentally stained. The shower room drains very slowly. After washing for a while, the water can cover the back of the foot. You can't wash for a long time, otherwise it will overflow to the toilet. During the Spring Festival, the room price is not cheap, at least the corresponding service should keep up. I had a lot of fun on this trip, but the hotel stay experience was not very good. I felt that I couldn't relax when I went back after playing tired. I hope it can be improved.

OOtautahianWe chose this hotel because there is a TCM place literally on the opposite side of the block and my sister could get acupuncture there.
All the staff were friendly, the hotel was modern and bright, and it was easy to get taxis outside.
My sister especially enjoyed the breakfast bigger because there was a lot of dongbei food and the hot dishes changed every day. While we were there (Spring Festival) there were free snacks at reception, like hulutang, frozen pears, egg tarts.

Rooms:
The rooms are new. We sadly didn't take photos (cos im terrible at it) but it was exactly as pictured! And our children loved the little surprise of toy shelves we had on the second floor. Superb.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is yummy (non halal, for our Muslim friends out there - but they have toasts, steamed mantou, steamed corn pumpkin, cereals, milk, juice, and even veggie fried rice with veggie side dishes - pls eat at your own discretion).
Ameneties & Location:
1) Washer and Dryer: Can be used 24/7 - for free! This service was super helpful w 4 family members and a cold cold winter in Feb 2025.
2) Zhongyang Street: Just turn left from the hotel, walk straight - past Mixue (on your left) and you'll come to a traffic light on your right. Cross it and you'll see the famous Zhongyang Street entrance
3) Halal restaurant: Turn left from the hotel, walk all the way straight, past the ZY Street traffic light. All the way straight until you see Zhongyang Street Metro Station entrance on your left (after crossing the road). Walk a little further up and you'll see an entrance to the left thats like an open garage (there's Asen Halal Restaurant in there - see attached picture for the sign and add of the restaurant)
Service:
The concierge guys couldn't speak a word of English, yet they are alwayssss ready to assist. Really helpful and friendly. They used a translator app to communicate with us.
Why 4 stars on cleanliness:
Don't get me wrong - it was clean. I just felt it was a little dusty because our room had no windows. But our opp room had windows and the air felt much fresher. Nevertheless, we loved the room. No red flags or anything on cleanliness. So awesome to stay here.

AAnonymous UserLocation is perfect, literally meters from the main street. that's pretty much what and all you are paying for.
We were in the basic room so expectations were low. I would say it satisfy the basic needs in terms of space and amenities. I mean is a decent place to sleep for the location. However, the room is really small, a bit cold, old and pretty much falling apart here and there.
Bed was good, comfortable and soft. Rooms are not soundproof so expect to hear everything going around. However, we were lucky to not have many guests around.
Wifi was horrible and slow.
Reception was great and the staff at the entrance has been friendly and available with any requests.
For the low score to service it is meant to the cleaning. Room was still dirty on the angles when we arrived. Soups were never refilled in the bathroom (not even the hand ones) and we had to ask everytime to get a refill. Feels like cleaning lady entered, put the cover on the bed back in order and left without caring much on whatever was needed to be refilled or cleaned in the room. Barely touching the bottom of the job.
Anyway back again, low expectations, decent room, great location. Satisfy the basic requirements and if you get it for a low price might be worth it.

LLaurajanebickerThis is an outstanding Bed & Breakfast and one of the most friendly and helpful places I’ve ever stayed. The room is perfect for a couple with warm comfy bed. The owner Mr Wang is an amazing cook and we opted to have dinner here every night. We are foreigners and I don’t speak Mandarin well and I was worried it would be a problem. But we were made so welcome, and others in the guesthouse joined us for dinner and drinks. The owner’s family was staying from Beijing and they spoke great English and soon we felt like family too. Mr Wang can help get ski tickets and with tickets to see the Pandas and he can also recommend many places to see in Yabuli. We stayed for 3 nights and could stay longer. Mr Wang will also drive you to the ski resort and the train station if you need it. The skiing is also good. Decent slopes for any level and fun for a couple of days. Yabuli is a lovely town to spend time and this guest house is the perfect place to enjoy some real hospitality in the north-east of China. We hope to come back!
