"The host was incredibly nice. They contacted us in advance, told us exactly where to get off, met us there ahead of time, and even helped us carry our luggage up to our room. The owner is of Bai ethnicity; their family lives on the ground floor, with guest rooms on the second and third floors. The Bai-style screen wall in the small courtyard is very beautiful, and the rooms themselves are very comfortable. There's also a swing on the rooftop, which the kids absolutely loved. The inn is located just outside the South Gate of the Ancient City. It's a mere two-minute walk to the 'Six-Meridian Divine Sword' branch of Duangongzi Dali Cuisine, and only three minutes to the South Gate of the Ancient City itself. It was very quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep."

The staff reached out to us via WeChat before our arrival and kindly arranged a complimentary pick-up service from the train station — a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the entrance and guided through a smooth, hassle-free check-in process.
The room was exactly as advertised: clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We especially appreciated the addition of the smart toilet — a small detail that made a big difference in comfort. But the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the stunning view from our room, overlooking the beautiful Erhai Lake. Waking up to that view every morning was simply unforgettable.

"It was beyond our expectations to find such an exquisite room. The real scene is much more beautiful than it looks on the website. It's a huge surprise when you enter the door, it's amazing! The artistic atmosphere is rich, the space is super high, and it has the feel of a classic movie. The bathtub next to the floor-to-ceiling glass window washes away your fatigue, and the smart toilet is of the same brand as the mattress. The owner is very attentive, not to mention there are two floors of public space. I have locked up this store and will come back in the future!"

"Small hotel with a stunning view of the lake. A good 30-minute taxi ride from the old town.
The room was very modern and stylishly furnished. The room with a skylight was great, allowing us to wake up to natural light (the curtains only closed completely – at least with the switches). There was also voice control, but our Chinese wasn't up to the task.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. Thanks again!
And the Chinese breakfast was also very good.
We would definitely recommend the room. However, you have to know each other well, because the toilet/shower isn't really screened off.

"The facilities are smart and well-equipped. The place was spotlessly clean and felt very comfortable. The owner was charming and gentle, and even chatted with us. "the hotel is beautiful both in the common areas and in the room itself. the room is spacious and the toilet is huge. we got an upgrade during our stay. hotel has an life so no worries about handling your luggage. there are a lot of food options nearby and it is just off the street from the old town. about 15min walk will get you to the main old town spot.
the breakfast was delicious. a selection of cooked food and you can order noodles at the main desk. simple afternoon tea with a light snack. we did not get to use the hanfu experience but it is a nice bonus."

"Facilities: Fully equipped, providing a lot of mineral water, and board games. There is no door in the bathroom, and there is a semi-obstructed transparent sliding door, which also means that there is no block when going to the toilet or taking a shower.
Hygienic: As a homestay, I think this sanitary condition is beyond my expectations and very clean.
Environment: Close to the Bohai Sea, very good sea view.
Service: The overall service is very good and very enthusiastic. But in the morning, there was a staff member who did not knock on the door and swiped into the room to prepare for cleaning. Fortunately, I heard and blocked it in time. I believe it was not intentional and I hope it can be improved."

ZZanjiadesanbaoThis hotel is absolutely stunning. In bustling Dali, finding such an oasis of tranquility is truly a rare gem. Even just unwinding on the balcony is pure bliss. The hotel also has an incredibly adorable, well-behaved, chubby cat! I absolutely adored my stay here. I only wish I had booked for longer; I'll definitely extend my stay next time. It completely surpassed all my expectations.
During peak season, I'd highly recommend avoiding Shuanglang – it's too noisy and congested. Stay here instead; it feels like you have Erhai Lake all to yourself. Seriously, you *must* book this hotel (and for more than a couple of nights if you can!), you won't regret it!

RricandoThe guest house owners were very initiative. They picked us up from the Dali Railway station. The rooms were clean. Since there are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids, we had a big room and a smaller room joined together with 2 large beds. The view was amazing.
Upon arrival, it was 4.45pm, and we asked for recommendations of where to eat. However, since it's neither dinner nor lunch time, the owner Mr Hao suggested that we eat in the guesthouse itself. The guest house auntie cooked for us the best rice noodles that we have eaten so far. Springy white noodles in a bowl of hot flavourful broth. My kids slurped it all up and polished the whole big bowl.
When we asked for recommendations on local eating places, Mr Hao gave us a whole list of his specially curated food places, which we managed to try 2 of them. And indeed they were good.
The downside was that there were no coffee or tea sachets in the room. But they said they will make it for us and can send it to our rooms. They mentioned that they have a tea room. And so we enjoyed the 2 types of brewed puer tea while Mr Hao explained a little about the tea.
Personally, I feel that since they have a special tea room to enjoy tea, sending sachet or tea bags would be inappropriate and a disrespect to the art of enjoying Puer tea.
Location wise, it has a good view of the lake. And it's quiet. It's not exactly near the old town but we took a taxi (20 mins) to the old town. Thankfully, we didn't stay at the old town as it's way too crowded, and we felt it's a tourist trap. However, near the guest house, there were many highly recommended restaurants.
The guest house has a dining area on the 1st floor. One thing that I really enjoyed about this place is the dining area. The lady that cooked the meal for us looked like a typical chinese grandma (which reminded me of my late grandma) that she cooked the food so deliciously with passion. While we had our breakfast she would sit at another table, she wasnt staring , just casually sitting while browsing her phone or ensuring we finish our food but her presence reminded me of when my late grandma would sit and watch us eat to ensure we have no leftovers. Lol. It was an oddly familiar and nostalgic feeling that we laughed about. But we do get the homey feel, which we really liked. The guest house also had a laundry room for guests to use.
The guest house owners were very initiative, friendly, and helpful. Anything we need, we just let Mr Hao know, and he would reply. He even offered to send us back to the highway station.
It's definitely highly recommended. And I would ask my friends that should they come to Dali, they should stay in this place. It's just perfect for us.

Many small details in the hotel are better than those in chain hotels. The toilet is smart, the bathtub is cleaned very clean, and there are disposable bathtub masks and bubble bags, unlike some hotels that are just decorations. The toiletries are better than those in the hotel, and the disposable slippers are thicker than those in the hotel. There are also face towels and disposable bath towels. The washing machine will also be specially disinfected. There are many small details, and you can see that they are very attentive! More comfortable than staying in a hotel

GGuest UserWhile it's a bit far from the old city, it's conveniently located close to both the airport and the train station. The ocean view here is unparalleled, and it doesn't suffer from the noise typical of places right along the coastline. You can easily order takeout right to your door. A big plus is that you can even rent electric scooters within the complex. On the downside, the interior decor could be a bit more refined. The facilities are slightly better than typical guesthouses, but the quality of the beds and pillows could still be improved. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. It's particularly well-suited for family trips, offering more convenience and space than a hotel.

There is not a lot of traffic around, and the noise of excessive commercialization is avoided. All in all, it was a great experience.

AAnonymous UserI have been to Dali one, two, three, four or five times and stayed in many B&Bs. This one is the most impressive to me so far and may become the reason for me to go to Dali again (no exaggeration). The B&B environment is very good. The room is close to the Erhai Lake, without a road in between. You can see the sunrise directly lying on the bed in the morning, which is very beautiful. If you have enough time, you can completely not arrange other itineraries, just lie in the room until the end of time, quietly enjoying the slow time.

GGuest UserFirst, the correct name of the hotel is Xiting not Yuting. There was a bit of misunderstanding over which room we booked, which I take to be the result of language communication between Trip.com and the hotel. But the manager was very sweet and Accommodating. The rooms are lovely and it’s in a good location in the old city but relatively quiet.

AAnonymous UserThis B&B appear on the outside to be new, (newly done or newly renovated) overall good but few tips to be improved :
1) for the room I stayed in to be added a standing light or additional ceiling lights as it's very dark.
2) the shower water doesn't seem to flow out and caused some mini flooding in the bathroom as water reached to the facial wash basin, nearing to the door. Suggest to add additional glass door to avoid such matter as I had to wash my hair in the sink to avoid flooding.
3) cleaning was superficially done but the tea cups were dusty, the hair in the bathroom were not removed
4) service were helpful but it still can be improved
