Guest UserWe chose this hotel after seeing photos of the amazing views from its rooms - and we were not disappointed. The hotel is located in a high rise residential apartment complex, and situated in between the east and west banks of Erhai lake. You could see both banks clearly from the balcony, with Cangshan serving as the backdrop.
Service was personal and wonderful too. We had our rooms upgraded for free to a bigger one, and the staff gave many useful recommendations of local restaurants, attractions and bike rental - very very handy for cycling Erhai lake (the bike shop she recommended was professional and provided high quality bikes which enabled us to go halfway around the lake, and could be returned at a different location). She also made us tea personally upon request, and offered to teach us teamaking.
Overall, a very pleasant stay with nothing to complain about. Will recommend this hotel to fellow travellers who are looking to stay in a less touristy part of Dali, away from the ancient town area, with amazing views from the hotel itself.

This hotel experience was absolutely fantastic, five stars! It's very close to Erhai Airport and offers a free pick-up service, making transportation super convenient. The hotel boasts stunning views; you can admire the beautiful Erhai Lake right from your room. The service is incredibly attentive, with staff who are warm and thoughtful. The biggest surprise was the dining: the homemade breakfast was prepared with great care, the afternoon tea was exquisite, and they thoughtfully provided complimentary fruit and cake, all of which tasted excellent. Room service was also very prompt, making for a truly comfortable stay. In summary, the environment, service, and dining are all impeccable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dali, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time!

Anonymous UserThe room was a bit small with no space for luggage, but the hotel's location was great and we were very happy with it. It's away from the traffic and noise, just over a kilometer from the ancient city, making it easy to get there for food and drinks on an electric scooter. You can also ride an electric scooter to Longkan Pier!

I rarely write reviews 😊, but I absolutely have to share my experience this time, as I visited Dali with my two kids! 😃 The location is absolutely fantastic 👍. It's just one street away from the Sanyue Street market, so it's close but not noisy – perfect for families with children. There are many great restaurants nearby, all serving authentic Bai cuisine. Tourist attractions are also easily accessible, and taxis are convenient. The guesthouse itself has an elegant and tranquil ambiance, with modern facilities and a stylish, high-quality decor. My kids finally got their wish with the starry sky room, which they'd been dreaming of. The little tent was adorable, especially the soaking tub! 👍👍👍 After a tiring day of sightseeing, a soak in the tub was so relaxing, and both my daughter and son loved it, soaking every day.
Upon check-in, we received complimentary fruit, and breakfast was incredibly rich and plentiful – the kids ate their fill and absolutely loved it! A special shout-out to the front desk staff, both the young lady and gentleman 👍👍👍. They were always ready to help, no matter the time, and patiently provided information on attractions, transportation, and important tips. The proprietress was also warm and thoughtful, not only answering all our questions but also sincerely recommending authentic local delicacies that were simply delicious.
The owner is also a gourmet! He helped us arrange for local ingredients like free-range chicken and freshly picked wild mushrooms, and cooked a wonderfully delicious free-range chicken and mushroom soup, along with other local dishes. It was incredibly tasty! We ate it two days in a row and still couldn't get enough. The price was also affordable for such mountain delicacies – absolutely superb! I'm truly grateful 🙏.
This guesthouse is warm, down-to-earth, and full of human touch. Not only was our stay comfortable and our meals enjoyable, but we also left feeling incredibly happy! It's suitable for couples, friends traveling together, or family trips. It's definitely on my list for a return visit, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

The hotel offers a fantastic view, especially from the rooftop common area where you can see the beautiful Erhai Lake – perfect for photos. The owner is incredibly thoughtful; they offer a pick-up service, and even reimbursed our taxi fare when we arrived. On the second morning, they brought breakfast directly to our room at 10 AM since we hadn't gotten up yet. We enjoyed breakfast in the room while watching squirrels hopping outside – the environment is truly wonderful. The owner also runs a tea business and even gave us some tea as a souvenir when we left. They truly made us feel at home.

We initially only had 3 days visiting Dali, but rarely does a hotel ever influence me in staying longer in a particular city. Dont get me wrong, Dali is VERY BEAUTIFUL. Its got enough offerings for it to convince me to stay longer. But since this is a review of this hotel, I will keep it that way.
For starters, the staff: there are 3 whom we've had the pleasure of meeting
1.) The front desk/lobby gentleman who is very accommodating and knowledgeable. He made sure we were happy with everything and even offered to give my party of 5 credits for our ”didi” rides, one of China's largest ride share.
2.) The young lady housekeeper/tea/greeter/everything, she will provide you with all the necessities you may require. Disposable towels it works, give it a shot before knocking it, bottled water, soap, laundry detergent, anything. She also has the sweetest personality and although I didn't speak Mandarin all too well, we somehow understood each other. Shes simply amazing.
3.) The owner, she is a person of faith. If she senses anything wrong with you, she wont hesitate to offer medicine and food free of charge to make you feel better.
All of the above 3 staff rescued my mom in law when she felt unwell due to altitude sickness. Oxygen bottles were ready at 18rmb each, they even offered to try it first to see if it works before paying. It just goes to show the lengths they are willing to go to ensure their guests are well taken care of.
Now for the hotel: I might have to copy and paste this review because I actually booked 2 rooms. One for my family and another for my inlaws.
I booked the largest two bedroom with bunk bed and really tall ceilings equipped with a living room, and another was a panoramic view of both Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake on the 3rd floor corner. I forgot what it was called but the place was dreamy and well equipped. Not to mention all rooms were decked out with ZEN like decorations beyond compare.
How can I say this in the best way possible...
The location isnt the closest to the ancient city, meaning you cant walk it, but didi is quite affordable that this did not matter to us. The school bells and songs that play during specific hours are oddly satisfying and did not cause any disturbance. Cars will be cars, especially in China, so wherever you stay, hearing horns here and there is inevitable. But the windows, curtains and walls are great for sound absorption.
Combined with the beauty and serene touches this place had to offer like the koi pond, zen garden, traditional pagoda and courtyard aesthetics, along with the decor of each room that surpassed my expectations, I cancelled a more expensive hotel to stay here with the intent of trying only for a night and moving to another. With the cherry on top being served by the most humble staff, our 3 nights in Dali became 5 nights.
The distance to each attraction was never an issue thanks to the affordability of ride share programs in China. Being slightly away from the busy areas, we were welcomed with peace, quiet, and a community like vibe. We walked the back streets, visited a Buddhist temple about 5 minutes away, and dined at actual local restaurants.
The vacation became an eye opener, especially for a westerner like myself.
My family and I, even though we still have 2 nights left, already look forward to our next trip to Dali. And when that time comes, this place will be where we stay without hesitation.
I cancel a lot of hotel bookings because they rarely match what is shown on the app. You know that feeling. But this place, we were brought here for a reason.
My family loves this place. And to the staff, thank you for welcoming us and making us feel comfortable.
Dali, into the awakening place. What a beautiful and appropriate name for such a place of tranquility and hospitality.

Returning to Dali from Jizu Mountain, I temporarily chose to stay at Jinsuo Island. I have been to Dali many times, and this is my first time on the island. This hotel is indeed the most satisfactory one. The room has an unbeatable sea view. You can see the sea and the sunrise while lying on the bed. The facilities are very smart and the hygiene is also very clean. Super cost-effective!
The breakfast in the sea view restaurant is also a little surprise.

Guest UserThe first time I came to Dali, I originally planned to live alone. I met like-minded friends at the hotel, or fellow villagers. I cooked and played together. I was also very good with the boss. I played games together. This small courtyard is as comfortable as my own home. The style of the room is also very healing and refreshing. Every day, the curtains are opened to the scenery. The sky in Dali is really blue and sometimes there is no blue white cloud! I went to many places, and I stayed for a long time. I felt Dali at a slow pace. I couldn't play, so I took a hair dryer by the sea and looked at the blue sky and looked at the Bohai Sea. It was also very pleasant physically and mentally. Lazy to go out, lie in the room to watch a movie, drink tea, see the scenery outside the window, or bask in the sun in the yard downstairs... I can't praise it again next time! I wish the boss a prosperous business!

Anonymous UserOur stay was wonderful! The room was meticulously clean, even the corners were spotless. The owner was very kind and helpful. The daily breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and genuinely delicious – we were very satisfied. The B&B's location is peaceful yet central, and the courtyard filled with flowers and plants was truly memorable. We loved the room types – the suite with a large bed and floor-to-ceiling windows, and the tatami family room were both very comfortable. My whole family was happy with it.
