My wife and I enjoyed our stay in the Delian Boutique Homestay. The location in Pingyao ancient city is very good, and the rooms are bright and airy. We were particularly impressed with the hotel staff, who connected us with an excellent English-speaking guide, helped arrange our visits to scenic spots and transfer to the train station, and were generally very helpful throughout our stay.

When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic.

Service: The most important thing is that the proprietress is very enthusiastic and has been providing convenience for the sake of the guests and helping to solve the actual needs. Hygienic: very clean Environment: Especially good, the experience is very strong, located in the center of the ancient city scenic spot in Pingyao, it is very nice to take pictures and punch in Facilities: complete and not old It is not a trip to Pingyao Ancient City. I will recommend it to my relatives and friends! 🫰🏽👍

The inn has a unique environment with the characteristic elements of the ancient town. The room is very clean and soundproof. You can have a good sleep after a day of strolling. The environment in the inn is also very good, very photogenic! The boss is very nice. After booking, add the contact information to answer various questions. The inn also has a pick-up service. In particular, the vinegar of the boss's house is very good. Friends who stay in the hotel must buy some to bring to family and friends, and the feedback from friends is also good👍!

For the friends who have plans to play in Pingyao Ancient City, Amway: Location: Pingyao Ancient city is in the center, go to any place in the ancient city to play is very convenient Environment: The buildings in the inn are integrated with the original buildings of the ancient city of Pingyao. The photos are very beautiful. SSimpleTravelerGreat place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

CCecile1986The hotel is really nice and in the authentic style of Pingyao. It is quite closed from the east gate and from the ancient city center. The owner is really friendly, speaks good English and is doing everything to make you enjoy your stay. He did explained very well all the activity and provide help if needed. The room is clean and we didn't care about the size as we were out all day. If I have to suggest one thing, it will be to have bigger mattresses as they are quite hard but it's a personal preference.

ZzhlcocoChengjia Old Home is a typical Shanxi house style, with a quiet environment amidst the hustle and bustle, quiet but not far from the commercial street. The room is carefully decorated and clean. The service is responsive and considerate, and the pick-up and drop-off services are in place. A very satisfying stay experience. The only thing that needs improvement is that the breakfast can have more variety.

GGuest UserIf you want to experience thousands of years of cultural heritage, I really recommend a trip to Pingyao, Shanxi. However, you have to leave more time for yourself. A quick tour is not enough to deeply feel the weight of history here. Because it is a low-budget trip, so I stayed in an ordinary B&B in the ancient city. The location was pretty good. It was in the central area of the entire ancient city. It was very close to the county government museum. Other attractions were basically within walking distance. If you are a novice, you can go to the ancient city like me. In a B&B like this, chatting with the owner is much better than doing a lot of guides. The owner is a local and is very enthusiastic and will help you avoid many pitfalls so that you can experience this historical city with peace of mind. The only bad thing is that everyone A common problem in large scenic spots! Too commercial! However, if you avoid these, you can still learn about Shanxi merchant culture and simple folk customs here. The accommodation is more like a fellow villager's home, not fancy, but really unique in the commercial world, just a simple family courtyard. I feel, but I can rest assured that the sanitary conditions are quite clean. I am really satisfied with this trip including the accommodation.
