"My friends and I love simple, bright, and fresh decor, which is why we ultimately booked this B&B on Ctrip. The pick-up and drop-off service was perfect for us non-driving independent travelers; the car took us to the entrance of the ancient town, and then the shuttle bus from the ancient town dropped us right at the hotel entrance. This was so much better than dragging our luggage through the ancient town like other tourists. Although the B&B isn't on the main street of the ancient town, it's a short walk from everywhere, which is very convenient, and it offers a quiet retreat from the bustle. The butler's service was incredibly thoughtful; they gave us a map of the ancient town and even explained how to explore and where to eat. Even though it's a renovated old house, the interior feels very modern, and the hygiene is excellent. They provide disposable bath towels, regular towels, toilet seat covers, and even bathtub liners. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with attentive service, definitely recommended."

GGuest UserOur stay was absolutely fantastic! The amenities and the butler service were top-notch, truly exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pingyao Ancient City. 1. They provide high-quality toiletries from Le Labo, mouthwash from Appelles, and a Dyson hairdryer – truly premium personal care products. 2. Since it was the off-season, the hotel upgraded our room. And due to an unforeseen issue on the first night, they upgraded our room again, showing their excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Upon check-in, they immediately offered food recommendations and a travel guide. 3. Every afternoon, we received a delightful delivery of fresh fruit, selected snacks, and a heartwarming sweet soup. It was a lovely touch that made us feel very cared for. Plus, breakfast could be delivered to our room to enjoy at our leisure. Overall, this was an absolutely amazing stay!

GGuest UserThe quaint courtyard was truly worth the trip. The owner was incredibly thoughtful, contacting us a day in advance to provide parking information and even turning on the air conditioning in our room beforehand – more considerate than I expected. Because we got carried away sightseeing, it was already dark when we arrived in Pingyao. Luckily, the owner had sent someone to wait for us along the parking lot route, otherwise we might have missed our stop. The hotel's location is very convenient, easily accessible from West Street and South Street. The breakfast was also excellent and definitely worth trying. Oh, and the owner even upgraded us to a cave dwelling room and gave us a discount coupon – thank you! I felt that the businesses I encountered in Pingyao were all very friendly and had excellent service. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserA few days ago, I went out with my boyfriend and booked this inn with a relatively high cost performance. I mainly like the ancient style of decoration. It was my first time staying in a kang and I felt very comfortable. The kang was very big and the bathroom was very clean. Overall, it was very good. From the second floor, you can see the scenery of the city wall, which looks very nice!

GgrapeaiI had an incredibly pleasant surprise staying at a guesthouse in Pingyao Ancient City! It's been converted from a hundred-year-old traditional house, and the bricks, tiles, and carved wooden windows all exude an ancient charm. The pomegranate tree at the entrance to the courtyard and the stone table with enamel bowls inside create such a wonderful ambiance. The guesthouse also has its own restaurant, serving up authentic Pingyao flavors. It was a comfortable stay with a genuine local vibe!

ZzhlcocoChengjia Old Home is a typical Shanxi house style, with a quiet environment amidst the hustle and bustle, quiet but not far from the commercial street. The room is carefully decorated and clean. The service is responsive and considerate, and the pick-up and drop-off services are in place. A very satisfying stay experience. The only thing that needs improvement is that the breakfast can have more variety.

VVAYangExcellent location with a nice intro buffet dinner for local cuisine and breakfast included. Next to an important Taoist shrine and provision shops. Also within 5-10 min walk from the “New East Gate” which is important if you want to take a taxi for sights outside the walled city. Note outside vehicles are not allowed to get into the walled city. Extremely helpful staff and the high speed rail station to hotel transfer service is much appreciated especially since outside taxi cannot get into the hotel location. We speak mandarin and found the ancient city tour guides well worth the money. Look for the guides with the standardised purple windbreakers in winter. Standardised price but worth every cent. Glad my family took the detour to Ping Yao

The staff were warm, thoughtful, friendly, and polite. Their service was meticulous and attentive, responding promptly to any request. They were genuinely reliable and made us feel truly welcome. The restaurant's food was authentic and delicious, with fresh and substantial ingredients. The dishes were abundant, tasty, and full of flavor. From the accommodations and attentive service to the specialty meals, everything was well-arranged and served perfectly. It offers incredible value for money and is our top choice for travel accommodations. Highly recommended!

From the initial pick-up and parking arrangements to the final departure, there was not a single unpleasant experience; they were incredibly attentive, helpful, and meticulous. The inn is elegant, clean, and tidy. The staff are friendly, patient, and responsive. The aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air daily, and the Chinese and Western breakfasts are cooked to order. While the variety isn't extensive, every bite is satisfying, especially the bowl of beef noodles, which is incredibly good! The room's simple and elegant decor perfectly reflects the ancient city's style. No matter how exhausted you are from exploring, returning to the courtyard provides a truly relaxing and tranquil experience. Overall, it was a truly wonderful two-day stay. I'd especially like to thank Ms. Dong Yanxia (I think that's her name) for her patient, meticulous, and attentive service, which has left me and my family with wonderful memories of this holiday!
