The spacious back seat, supple leather upholstery, and smooth ride into the ancient city instantly melted away travel fatigue. Talk about arriving in style! - A Detail-Oriented Dream: Every corner of the room spoke of meticulous design – dark walnut wainscoting paired with warm-glow glass lamps created a retro yet sophisticated ambiance. The bedding was incredibly soft and gentle on the skin, and the mattress offered perfect support; I didn't want to get out of bed for two nights straight! The bathroom was an even bigger surprise, with high-end toiletries like Le Labo Santal 33 hand soap and Appelles mouthwash, plus the latest Dyson hairdryer. My hair was smooth and frizz-free after drying, the quality was truly palpable. - Heartwarming Butler Service: Whenever we left, the butler would always hand us a warm bottle of mineral water and patiently recommend authentic local restaurants, even planning our routes for us. After a tiring day exploring the ancient city, returning to the hotel's warm, soft lighting and peaceful courtyard instantly calmed us down. It truly felt like coming home. - Ancient Charm, Peaceful Retreat: The hotel itself is a beautifully preserved Jin merchant courtyard, with red lanterns hanging high and intricately carved wooden window lattices. During the day, we sunbathed and enjoyed tea in the courtyard, and at night, we drifted off to sleep listening to the quiet sounds of the ancient city. It perfectly balanced historical charm with modern comfort. This was by far the best choice of my Shanxi trip, no exaggeration! Next time I'm in Pingyao, I'm definitely staying here again. This hotel has a fantastic vibe, apparently designed by a Beijing-based architect. The space is exquisite and super photogenic! The food was delicious 😋 and the butler service was excellent. The sound system in the room was amazing, and the in-room amenities were thoughtfully chosen and high-quality! Highly recommend! It's also very close to the high-speed train station, so you don't need to arrange transportation too far in advance.

My travel plans suddenly changed, so I ended up in Pingyao, a place I hadn't visited in many years. The city has changed a lot! The most pleasant surprise was finding this guesthouse online. My first impression was how thoughtful and enthusiastic the hosts were, and their dedicated service. They gave detailed recommendations on how to explore, where to eat, what to see, and even provided maps for tourists. They also arranged free pick-up and drop-off, which made me feel incredibly at ease. Then there was the environment itself... simply stunning! It was quiet, elegant, with the grandeur of a Jin merchant compound and the beauty of a smaller garden. Truly, every corner was a picturesque spot, perfect for photos. It’s an ideal courtyard for girlfriends who love taking pictures. Each room in the guesthouse is unique, offering a variety of styles to suit different preferences. We decided to extend our stay for another night without hesitation. Being in such an environment made us feel comfortable, secure, and completely relaxed.

Come to Pingyao to play, it is estimated that this is a newly opened hotel. The environment facilities have nothing to say. It is very clean and spacious. The hotel is convenient to go anywhere next to the ancient city. There are snack streets next to various restaurants to eat. The hotel service staff are also good. Everything is in place. Give me a good experience, and then Pingyao will live in his house! ! !

The hotel is beautiful, specially the patios. The location is just 10 minutas walking from the North Gate of the wall. In reception they do not speak English, but they were very helpful with the translator. However, if you really need to rest, this hotel is not made for you. At 7am there were already families and kids shouting and playing in the patio. Even with taps, it was too noisy to keep sleeping. The hotel is also offering folkloric dressing and photos shoots, so you might find people take pictures in front of your room anytime, also at night with flashes

The front desk service is friendly and friendly. They also have their own travel photography shop.

The breakfast spread is fantastic! This is truly the perfect way to do a family trip. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to experience ancient charm. You can't go wrong, book it! The hotel's travel photography and makeup services are also top-notch. All in all, a truly worthwhile stay!

Among all the guesthouses in Pingyao, I chose this one based on a friend's recommendation. Overall, I had a good experience. The concierge contacted me in advance, set up a WeChat group for communication, and arranged a shuttle from the parking lot. There was also a welcome fruit platter, and I received a small souvenir upon checkout. Unfortunately, my stay was too short this time, so I didn't get a chance to experience the bar on the 3rd floor or the tearoom on the 2nd floor. I'll definitely choose to stay here again if I get another chance to visit Pingyao.

While the variety isn't extensive, every bite is satisfying, especially the bowl of beef noodles, which is incredibly good! The room's simple and elegant decor perfectly reflects the ancient city's style. No matter how exhausted you are from exploring, returning to the courtyard provides a truly relaxing and tranquil experience. Overall, it was a truly wonderful two-day stay. I'd especially like to thank Ms. Dong Yanxia (I think that's her name) for her patient, meticulous, and attentive service, which has left me and my family with wonderful memories of this holiday!
