Its main advantage is its excellent location; it's very convenient for exploring, and you can easily pop back for a rest when you get tired. **Service:** The staff were very service-oriented. When we arrived, there weren't many guests, and the service was very attentive. **Breakfast:** It's not a buffet; it's a fixed-menu breakfast, like a 'nine-grid' style. It looks very appealing, and the taste is decent enough to fill you up. Overall, it's a good stay. Naturally, for this price point within the ancient city, you shouldn't compare it to hotels of the same price outside. It's incomparable, primarily due to its superb geographical advantage."

"I found this guesthouse just 20 minutes before arriving in Pingyao. I contacted the owner and learned they offer pick-up and drop-off from the station. I thought 20 minutes wouldn't be enough time, but to my surprise, the owner immediately sent a housekeeper to pick us up in a Mercedes business van. They were incredibly efficient despite the short notice. The room was clean and tidy, and we even got a free upgrade to a larger one. The service quality was top-notch; they were constantly checking in to see if we needed anything. On the way to the guesthouse, they asked us what we wanted to drink, and when we arrived, our preferred welcome drinks were already prepared. There were also complimentary fruits and a specially prepared beverage waiting for us. I initially booked just one night, just to try it out, but I was so pleasantly surprised that I extended my stay for another night. All the staff were warm and attentive. I genuinely recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Pingyao."

"The quaint courtyard was truly worth the trip. The owner was incredibly thoughtful, contacting us a day in advance to provide parking information and even turning on the air conditioning in our room beforehand – more considerate than I expected. Because we got carried away sightseeing, it was already dark when we arrived in Pingyao. Luckily, the owner had sent someone to wait for us along the parking lot route, otherwise we might have missed our stop. The hotel's location is very convenient, easily accessible from West Street and South Street. The breakfast was also excellent and definitely worth trying. Oh, and the owner even upgraded us to a cave dwelling room and gave us a discount coupon – thank you! I felt that the businesses I encountered in Pingyao were all very friendly and had excellent service. Highly recommended!"

"The location is great, nestled between Yingxun Gate (South Gate) and Shangxi Gate, making it convenient for sightseeing yet surprisingly quiet. The facilities are good, but what really impressed me was picture #2 [assuming this refers to a specific feature/amenity shown in a picture]. I hope they can plug in the outlets before guests check in. The buckwheat pillow was very comfortable! The service was excellent; they communicated in advance about pickup/drop-off and even offered to drive me to attractions. Breakfast was abundant, featuring local specialties like Pingyao beef. It was well-balanced and tasty. The menu changed over the two days, though for me, there was a bit too much meat. If a full buffet isn't feasible, perhaps offering an à la carte menu where guests can choose their items would help reduce waste. And the cats at the hotel are adorable!"

"A very nice hotel with very friendly staff and nice rooms. We recommend the VIP building. The breakfast was chinese and western. The hotel is placed outside the city wall and can be reached easily with taxi or DiDi, but only a few steps to enter the ancient city area. The only field to improve is some basic English for foreign guests, but at the end we managed to communicate :-). See you again!"

Their aged vinegar is absolutely outstanding; it's mellow and rich, and I've bought it many times as gifts for friends and family because it's both healthy and nutritious. The environment, food, and service are all top-notch. Yunjincheng is my top choice for accommodation in Pingyao, and I'll definitely be back again this autumn!"

The bathroom was an even bigger surprise, with high-end toiletries like Le Labo Santal 33 hand soap and Appelles mouthwash, plus the latest Dyson hairdryer. My hair was smooth and frizz-free after drying, the quality was truly palpable. - Heartwarming Butler Service: Whenever we left, the butler would always hand us a warm bottle of mineral water and patiently recommend authentic local restaurants, even planning our routes for us. After a tiring day exploring the ancient city, returning to the hotel's warm, soft lighting and peaceful courtyard instantly calmed us down. It truly felt like coming home. - Ancient Charm, Peaceful Retreat: The hotel itself is a beautifully preserved Jin merchant courtyard, with red lanterns hanging high and intricately carved wooden window lattices. During the day, we sunbathed and enjoyed tea in the courtyard, and at night, we drifted off to sleep listening to the quiet sounds of the ancient city. It perfectly balanced historical charm with modern comfort. This was by far the best choice of my Shanxi trip, no exaggeration! Next time I'm in Pingyao, I'm definitely staying here again.
