I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. What stood out immediately was how responsive and efficient the team was through the group chat they created for guests. It felt like having a concierge in your pocket—fast, friendly, and always ready to help. One moment that really impressed me: I had sent my laundry in (yes, they offer complimentary laundry service—not just machines, but actual washing and drying done for you!), and I noticed one of my socks was missing. I casually asked about it in the group chat while I was having breakfast near the reception area. To my surprise, I saw a staff member literally sprint off from the reception and return shortly after—with my missing sock in hand! That level of attentiveness was genuinely remarkable. There was a little hiccup when the hotel forgot our advance booking for transport. We were initially told to book our own as their cars were all taken, which left us pretty dissatisfied—especially since it wasn’t a last-minute request. But while I was venting to my friend, one of our butlers overheard us and quietly stepped in. She said she'd help us out—and to our surprise, she personally booked a DiDi ride for us using her own money. We were honestly amazed by that level of care, and it meant so much that we later decided to bring her a little taste of our local delight as a thank-you gift. The hotel also offers complimentary afternoon tea, complete with barista-made coffee and cakes—a perfect treat to enjoy while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere. Speaking of which, the view from my room was incredible—lush, open grasslands that made every moment feel peaceful and grounding. They also offer a car service to take you to nearby points of interest, but to be honest, the hotel itself was such a gem that I could have easily stayed in the whole time. Between the view, the service, and the food (the in-house restaurant is also worth mentioning—delicious meals and lovely ambience), I never felt the need to venture far. This hotel nails it when it comes to comfort, hospitality, and thoughtful touches. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly relaxing and memorable stay. Bonus: they have three adorable chowskis roaming around the property, and one of them can even open the lobby door. 🐾 Honestly, that alone made my day. ”We're from Thailand, and this hotel is superb! The rooms are clean, warm, and cozy, with floor and bedroom heating—perfect for the cold weather. The toilet even has an auto bidet (very important for us Thais!). Though the hotel is on high ground and the stairs might make you a bit tired, the effort is totally worth it. The owner is incredibly kind, offering unlimited drinking water and fresh fruit. The rooftop has the best view—beautiful scenery where you can relax and enjoy the moment. We had an amazing stay at Shangri-La Banxia Time Homestay, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shangri-La, Yunnan. From the moment we booked, the host was extremely responsive, keeping in touch with us for three weeks before our trip. They provided useful tips, such as bringing heavy clothes due to the cold and snow, which helped us a lot in preparing for our visit. One of the best things about this homestay was the hospitality. The host picked us up and dropped us off at the train station for free of charge, making our arrival and departure hassle-free. They also went the extra mile by lending us winter jackets at no cost, which was a thoughtful gesture. Additionally, they arranged a driver for us to visit the places we wanted to explore, making our trip smooth and enjoyable. The homestay itself was fantastic—spacious, exactly as shown in the pictures, and equipped with complete amenities. It truly felt like a home away from home. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the hot blankets and oxygen supply, which were essential due to Shangri-La’s high altitude. The homestay also had a modern design while being located in the heart of the ancient town, offering easy access to everything. Beyond the comfortable stay, the host’s kindness and guidance made our experience even better. They recommended great places to visit and local restaurants to try, ensuring we had a memorable trip. We had an amazing stay. The owners were very helpful picking us up for free, giving us recommendations for things to do, restaurants and also upgrading our room for free and giving us free sweets and other treats. She also came with us to the restaurant to explain to us what to order and how to eat the hot pot. The hotel is renovated, maintaining a typical style but with all new amenities. Even if it was very cold, in the room the heating worked perfectly making it very comfortable. We hope to come back to this beautiful part of the World and stay again at this hotel.

Owner is very responsive with my questions. The owner will fetch you at the Shangrila high speed railway station if you stayed for at least 2 nights. Nice and simple breakfast was provided, great thumb up for the lady who prepared the breakfast in early morning. They will carry your luggage to your room as the room is located at level 2 (by stair). We have also washed our cloth in their hotel lobby (with soap provided). Owner is very caring where they provided the oxygen provider to us in our room. Overall good experience.

At first we contemplated to choose to stay here. But after much consideration, we decided to stay and forget about the price. As we decided that the experience here would be priceless! And we definitely grateful with the decision that we made. The whole place is so beautiful and charming. With animals running around, politeness of the staffs assisting our every needs, complimentary services provided by the hotel, this hotel is really cost- effective! We are greeted with warm tea, and then with complimentary afternoon coffee and cakes. Their coffee and cake are very delicious 🤤 We also get to experience wearing the ******* clothing and free photography session. As we are muslims, we need to pray for zuhur prayer. But the check out time is before zuhur time. The staff gave us a room to pray after we check out and we really appreciate their kind gesture. The staff also gave us free rides to halal restaurants and train station. We recommend people to stay here at least once, you will not regret it 🩷

The hotel provides excellent services. The best hotel to stay in shangrila. The location is very strategic near the supermarket and other food stalls. If you are a muslim, this hotel is very close to the halal food stall. The hotel provides pick-up and drop off at the railway station. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. It also provides extra oxygen in the room. If you come to shangrila, book this hotel straightaway. You will not regret it. You can communicate with the hotel if you want to go to the balagezong.

The boss and the boss lady are super super enthusiastic! The room is well-equipped and clean! (I forgot to take a photo Ｔ▽Ｔ but it is really comfortable!) The whole house is smart, and the curtains and lights can be controlled by voice, which is very convenient. During the two days of stay, not only did the boss pick me up and drop me off, but the boss lady was also very enthusiastic about whether the disposable items in the room needed to be refilled. Fortunately, after more than ten days of cloudy days, we caught up with a cloudless day and saw a perfect sunrise on Jinshan Mountain. However, because it was a bit late to prepare to go, many small groups were already full, and the boss and the boss lady were very enthusiastic to help contact the small group of the Meili Snow Mountain itinerary! The few days I stayed here really made me feel at home. The boss and the boss lady were like relatives, and the inn was more like a guest at home. I will recommend this store to everyone who wants to come to Shangri-La!

Cleanliness is honestly so-so. Found used/opened disposable shampoo packets in bathroom when arrived. The in-room hot water dispenser is a small-sized mobile unit that connects directly to a small mineral water bottle - not easy to use plus it discharges some greenish fluid while trying out. The multi-level building has no lift so large heavy luggage is challenging (credit to the staff who would help to carry it up for you), but climbing up/down not easy for old people. Getting the right temperature in the bathroom is challenging too, it's often too hot or too cold, and hard to adjust in between. The hotel allowed smoking in indoor public areas, resulting in the whole building soaked in second hand smoke. This is unfortunately the biggest put off that spoils everything else that could have made it a reasonable stay. Overall, I would say the stay had been below our expectations.

Unfortunately, we don't have children so we didn't choose the parent-child room Facilities: The whole house smart home is very convenient. The boss lady said that the projector is from XGIMI and the picture is really clear Service: The service is super enthusiastic. The room has floor heating. The boss lady turned on the heater before we arrived. It was very warm as soon as we entered the door. Welcome fruit and hot milk were given. My partner was smoking outside the door at night. The boss lady's niece thought he forgot to bring the door card and didn't go up to the third floor to ask him. Haha ...
