Exceptional Stay at LAN YU Plateau Section Hotel I recently had the pleasure of staying at LAN YU Plateau Section Hotel, and my experience was nothing short of outstanding. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and elegantly designed with a perfect balance of modern and cozy elements. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the linens were of premium quality. The large windows provided a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape, making the stay even more enjoyable. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the in-room minibar had a well-curated selection of refreshments. The bathroom was luxurious, featuring a rainfall shower, plush towels, and high-quality toiletries that added an extra touch of indulgence. The service from the hotel staff was exceptional. The check-in process was seamless, housekeeping maintained the room to perfection, and the concierge provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining. We love the service! The people very kind and polite. Our room were even upgraded during the first night but unfortunately we have to move into other room due to new visitor. Regardless, we dont mind at all, the room that we got was still clean and completed. Except there was no toilet rug and too lazy to ask but its okay. The fact there was places to hangout are the best but we couldnt explore that much. The welcome snacks were much appreciated, we finished most of it. The ginger tea was great. Thank you for the many times requests for ginger tea as one of us got fever. Felt safe and welcome. And washing machine is a no problem especially for backpackers, can easily self-washing. No dryer though. Its fine. The location is a bit high up the hills so to those who’s first time in a very high altitude place, might need the portable oxygen tank or go up slowly to the inn. The oxygen tank in the room was provided! We even got free keychain by the end of our stay at Xianggelila, thought of buying it, instead got it for free. The drive from and to the Xianggelila railway station was so much appreciated, because calling for didi is kinda tiring, like everytime. But because of the inn providing us the drive, it is much convenient. And its very funny how the driver sped up to railway station because we were late for the train. Thank you so much, its a funny experience and the driver has a nice choice of remix song hahah, love the service. The guy who gave the keychain was also warmhearted. Xianggelila was splendid because of you guys thank you!!

We only stayed at this hotel briefly as our train back to Kunming was scheduled early in the morning at 10am, but the experience was truly pleasant. The service was excellent — the staff picked us up and even sent us to the railway station the next day, helping with our bags every step of the way. Upon arrival, they gave us a helpful briefing on what to do and what to avoid due to the higher altitude, which was thoughtful and informative. They also kindly recommended places to visit at night and shared several halal restaurant options when we asked — very helpful for Muslim travelers. Our room was located near the ancient road, but it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. We also noticed that this hotel seems to be quite popular with Malaysian guests, which made it feel even more familiar and welcoming. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and appreciate the warm hospitality, even if it was just for a short time.

I recently stayed at Luming Hotel and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff were incredibly helpful and made the check-in process smooth and easy. As a pleasant surprise, I was given a free room upgrade, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay.It truly made me feel at home. The hotel's location was also convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and restaurants. Overall, the service was top-notch, and the front desk staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay. I highly recommend Luming Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

I had a very pleasant stay for 3 consecutive days. The host was super supportive in picking up at the train station and carrying large luggage up the stars. He consulted and reserved day tours for us. The lady host treat us like homie. I saw they both taking care of passengers who were suffered from highland uncomfortable. The homestay is kinda new, facilities and smart amenities are well working, make us feel warm and comfortable. Location is right in the heart of the ancient city, shops, cafe, the brilliant square is in walking distance. The courtyard is even way beautiful, many corners for you to relax, it’s pet-friendly. There’s a restaurant with specilities downstairs. In general, the homestay way worth the price and you’ll be enjoy your trip

The place was a few hundred meters from the old town. The 民宿 owners were extremely hospitable and friendly. First they came to pick us up from the station, upon arrival, as our room was on the 3rd floor, they carried our luggage all the way up for us. The room was spacious, clean and all amenities provided for. The room came with oxygen supply, heated floor and sky roof where we could glance out to see the stars. They advised us on all the do and don't when in high altitude places. When we came back freezing cold at night, they even brought up hot milk to help warm us up. Overall, we had a very good stay here. We would stay here again if we ever come back to Shangri-la.

Contacted owner a night before arrival and he waited for our arrival at the train station 10 minutes even before our arrival. We were greeted warmly at the reception with hot tea and lucky us, early check in was available. Owner carried our 25kg-heavy luggage to the room and introduced us the usages of moisturiser, oxygen supply, controllers etc. Room was spacious, clean and neat, comfortable for the two of us, overlooking the temples just from the window. Plus points were definitely the comfy bed, pillows, LED projectors with variety of shows and clothes hangers! Toiletries, bath towels, face towels were all disposable, ensuring tip-top hygiene. Daily room cleaning with unlimited water bottles supply. There are washing machine and drying machine that the staff were so helpful to help us with laundry- all we needed to do is just pass them our dirty clothes and waited to be returned. One evening we came back in cold, the reception staff immediately offered us hot ginger tea. Location is merely just 5 mins walk away from the busy streets. Eateries are all around. Regardless, all these do not affect the calm and quiet within the homestay. Perfect homestay with superb hospitality. All you gotta do is enjoy the stay and be rest assured that this homestay management will take good care of you. This is definitely the right homestay for anyone!

Although I have stayed in many hotels and B&Bs before, this is my first time staying in a high altitude area. I have a lot to say, not only want to write a good review for the B&B, but also want to write a thank you letter to the B&B. I booked the B&B about a month before the trip. We had very good expectations for Shangri-La's Old Classmates Travel & Hotel, but I didn't expect that it would be very touching even before our high-speed rail arrived at the station, which was far beyond imagination. The boss is a very kind uncle with a good temper and even no temper. He will wait for us at the high-speed rail station half an hour before we arrive. After we arrive, there are other sisters who will help us take all the luggage to the B&B to check in. A sister who is like a housekeeper took us to visit the reserved room and carefully introduced all the features and facilities inside. She even taught us how to use the shower in detail several times. What's more unimaginable is that she also wears shoe covers. The sister who helped us with the luggage took my heavy suitcase and waved to me to go up the stairs first, and she followed behind. This is really ”Japanese service”! During the visit, the housekeeper also helped us turn on the purple light of the smart toilet, the electronic fireplace, the oxygen supply device, etc., even if I had some small problems late at night, they were patient enough to answer our questions. Several of us love to shop and often go in and out, but every time! They saw us before we entered the store, and then stood up and waved to us with a smile. They also asked us if we wanted to eat rice noodles or porridge for breakfast. One of my classmates was not in good health and could not eat too much oil. They would also adjust according to our situation. There was also butter tea in breakfast, which was obviously a reduced-oil version specially prepared to adapt to the taste and physical condition of us outsiders. The breakfast was also very rich. Several sisters could even accurately report who lived in which room and when we came back. Not long after we came back to rest, a sister came to give us afternoon tea, and it was available every day. The medicine bag for foot bath was also updated every day! ! ! Especially when I suddenly fell ill one night, the boss drove us to the hospital late at night. He was very emotional and told me, ”The hospital is almost there, it's okay, just breathe oxygen and get an injection and you'll be fine.” We left the high-speed train very early that day, and the boss came to see us off very early. The sister in the homestay also helped us prepare breakfast and souvenirs for the next day the night before. It was very rich and delicious. Thank you very much for your careful care these days. This is my first time in Tibet. I was moved by the simple folk customs here. Everyone is so gentle, kind and humble. There is no class flavor. They live their slow life quietly. Even in the ancient city with serious traffic jams, all drivers can wait patiently. There is no horn sound, no quarrel, only laughter and the smell of food coming from the store. I like the city of Shangri-La very much, the people here, the food here, the attractions here, and the animals here. I hope I can have a chance to come next time! The homestay is very clean and comfortable to live in! The hotel is conveniently located 10 minutes walk to the Ancient Town. The staff offer a pickup and drop off service at the railway station and airport. The room is very spacious and clean. The floors are heated, and there is also heating and oxygen in the room. The beds are also heated. However, it takes a few hours for the room to get warm so I would recommend turning on the heating before it gets cold. Once you get cold and turn on the heating, you’ll be waiting a few hours in the cold before the room heats up. There is 24 hour hot water which is appreciated as not all hotels in China offer this. We chose to start our days early so we could do more, and appreciated the hot shower in the morning. The staff were very helpful in helping us arrange a car to Pudacuo and in using 外卖 so we could order some food to take onto our train back to Kunming. Do note there are no elevators in this hotel, and our room was located on the third floor. However, the staff will help you carry your bags.
