The hotel is not far from the north gate of the ancient city. The boss is super nice. We returned to Shangri-La from Yubeng. At about 12 o'clock in the evening, the boss drove a tricycle to pick us up in the cold wind. After returning to the B&B, he sent us to have a midnight snack. The B&B courtyard has a good and quiet environment. The three-separated washing facilities are perfect. The floor heating is on all day and warm as winter. The third floor is equipped with a washing machine. The boss also invited us to drink tea in the lobby and chat. It was very pleasant. The B&B was originally planned to stay only one night, but it was comfortable and we stayed one more night temporarily. It is very cost-effective and highly recommended.

The location of the guesthouse was very good. You can walk to any corner of the old town. The boss of the guesthouse is very kind. He would offer to pick up and drop off at the train station. The room is spacious and has heated floor. Staying here was very comfortable. They don’t automatically clean the room daily but you can ask for it if you would like to have your room tidied.

Beautiful room just the same as in the advertised photos. High tech hot shower with good pressure. Bed was very comfortable with thick comforters. Floor heating was good, made the room warm enough in December with no central heater. Bathroom has no floor heating so a little cold but the toilet seat has warming. Very clean. High tech room with xiaodu is delightful. The host was always available and so friendly and helpful, always made us smile when we were going in and out. Location is good, right next to restaurants. Exceeded my expectations so I highly recommend.

It is very close to the ancient city and can be reached on foot. It is not in the center of the ancient city, so it avoids the hustle and bustle. The room is large, the environment is very good, there are two sofas, and the hygiene is very good. There is a skylight to watch the stars. You can also close the electric curtains if not needed. There is also an oxygen concentrator. The landlord's brother and sister are also very nice. My husband couldn't adapt to high altitude sickness, so he came to care and tell us how to get to the hospital. Will stay here next time

Opened in 2023, the Shangri-La Xianggeya Residence (Dukezong Ancient City Branch) offers travelers a pleasant stay in Shangri-La, whether for business or leisure purposes. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 4km from Shangri La Airport and 5km from Shangri-la Railway Station. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Hongtaiyang Square, Baita Temple and Shangri-La Tea Horse Road Museum all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Shangri-La hotel features parking on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

Located just outside the gate to the old city of Shangri-La (3 mins walk). Down the street 3 shops have rental for bike, so easy to rent and return. Hotel is very homey, clean and facilities are very well taken care. Wifi is fantastic, we had a huge huge smart TV, smart toilet with heated seating and auto flush etc (like the ones in Japan), room is huge and spacious and most important clean. Bed is wonderful to give you a good night of sleep (King Size). Host is wonderful and always kept the room clean, replenish room slippers and other items like toiletries on a daily basis (love this). Room has heated floor so you get a cozy space during the winter nights. The view from the room is fantastic!!! Overall very very recommended compared to accomodations inside the old city. Give this place a try. We had no regrets but loved our 5 days stay here.

The bathroom only has a door in the shower room. The toilet is embarrassing without a door. It is recommended that the boss get a curtain. 2. There is a small window in the shower room to see the window of the other person's house opposite. The window is not covered with anti-peep film. If girls live, they will feel unsafe. The friends of the homestay are very enthusiastic, and the location is not too far from the attractions and the high-speed rail station. Very recommended
