"A very old hotel that has seen minimal upkeep. Fantastic location at the Old Port of Marseille - safe and just above the metro station. Service was average, besides some helpful front desk, the housekeeping needs improvement."

Zenitude Hôtel Résidences Marseille Saint-Charles
"In general it is with good value of money, the front desk people are friendly. But it’s a little bit noisy for the rooms next to the road. And they forget to put toilet paper in my room."

Modern aparthotel in the Euroméditerranée district, offering spacious accommodation with convenient access to Marseille's city centre, transport links, and business areas.
Hotel Ligo by HappyCulture
"First, the positives: The breakfast was fantastic, and the coffee was great, which is a rare find at this price point. The room had a kettle, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The hotel is a convenient 10-minute walk to the Old Port. The lobby offered free coffee and croissants. I was really worried about service staff in France only speaking French, but everyone at this hotel spoke excellent English. Now for the issues I encountered: Initially, I was given a room on the fourth floor. When I pulled back the covers, I found a significant amount of hair on the pillows, which seemed to be a mix of human and animal hair (this hotel is pet-friendly). Lifting the duvet revealed even more hair, making it seem like the cleaning staff hadn't changed the bedding at all. The front desk immediately offered me another room on the same floor. After moving my luggage, I still found a small amount of hair when I pulled back the covers in the new room. I then asked the front desk for a fresh set of sheets and duvet covers. They offered to move me again, this time to a room on the 6th floor. This room was much better, but the pillowcases had yellow stains on all four corners. I requested new pillowcases from the front desk and changed them myself. One minor concern: The hotel isn't on the main street and is a bit close to the train station, which made me slightly uneasy walking around at night."
Hôtel Life Marseille VP - Vieux Port
"The location was unbeatable, right infront are old port, the metro station, and LOTS of place to eat at. The staff were all very nice and welcoming, they were also very patient(especially with my french 😂). Hotel was spotless when i got there. I have nothing negative to say about this place."

"Very good hotel, top location, quality staff and service"
Mercure Marseille Centre Prado Vélodrome
"The hotel is very well located, especially for the Vélodrome stadium. It's very clean, and the check-in service was great on the day we arrived. The young men working there were really kind. We enjoyed our stay at the Vélodrome with our two daughters. However, on April 27th, we encountered a woman at the reception who handled the hotel payment poorly, causing us to be charged twice. Even though I clearly explained that I had already paid, I was unfortunately debited a second time. I had to call back to request a refund. After that, everything went smoothly, and we received our refund two days later. 🤩"
Crowne Plaza - Marseille Le Dôme by IHG
"Clean & spacious room, nice decoration. But location is away from key attractions and old port. Breakfast is okay."
AC Hotel Marseille Prado Velodrome
"Top as usual, thanks to the Ac hotel staff"
Radisson Blu Hotel, Marseille Vieux Port
"The environment and location are pretty good."
Hotel le Corbusier
"A more than unpleasant welcome that is at odds with the standard expected for a hotel of this type. As an example and to start the stay badly, the hotelier asked us upon arrival to cancel our *********** reservation to avoid the taxes incurred, without explaining things to us clearly and thus leaving doubts about the legality of the request and the intentions. Breakfast is excessively expensive for the quality of the service! Again, on the subject of welcome: the hotelier pointed out to us that we were two minutes early on the opening time of the buffet (of insufficient quality - frozen products) and explained to us that we had to take a tray, not eat more than one egg and croissant because otherwise there would not be enough for the other customers, before bluntly asking us to put said tray on the bar when we had finished! To end our stay, the hotelier tried to charge us for a lamp that we had damaged, under the pretext that we had signed a commitment on the goods present in the room (which was not the case upon our arrival, no such document was presented to us) and that a visit to the room had been carried out in the presence of an employee (which was also not carried out). Insulting tone, lack of professionalism, interested and abusive manager! If the hotel does indeed benefit from an exceptional setting and the experience of staying in this type of building is interesting - the value for money is clearly not worth it! Defective bathroom with flooding in every shower, poor cleanliness, no service or service at the level (no shower gel and soap in the bathroom), thermal and acoustic insulation problem linked to the building! In short, it is preferable to plan to carry out the visit of the premises which is worth the detour but avoid this hotel which, given these manners, should not succeed in lasting over time!"
Urban Loft & Spa Marseille
"Very good location, very clean, staff very friendly, would gladly come again"
Aparthotel Adagio Marseille Timone
"Everyone spoke English and was very helpful, but the air conditioning didn’t work. Evidently it wasn’t working for anyone! I was allowed to borrow a fan, but definitely needed to open a window also. At this point, being so close to the hospital (ambulances) wasn’t great. Couldn’t be helped though."
Alex Hotel & Spa
"I knew it was close to Marseille train station, but I didn't expect it to be this close—just a 200-meter walk. The room wasn't big; it felt a bit cramped with two 28-inch suitcases open. The breakfast met European three-star standards, and the small courtyard was a plus. It's not far from any of the attractions, within a 20-minute walk."
Nhow Marseille
"Two single beds pushed together, even though I booked a €230 room with a double bed."
The People - Marseille
"Shared bathroom across multiple rooms but kept clean and usually free at any time. Friendly helpful staff, stocked bar, nearby shops and restaurants, close to supermarkets, close to port/harbour. Comfortable beds, linen provided, curtain spans whole length of bed for privacy, lockable cupboard, charging ports, personal dimmable light, large storage lockers"
Best Western Plus Hotel la Joliette
"The room was small but had all the necessary amenities. The shower had little protection and the floor easily got wet. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant, except for an older lady who I assumed was the manager. I spoke to her, but I didn't like how she spoke to the other staff in front of me. As a customer, it's unpleasant to witness that."
Hotel Marsiho by Happyculture
"The lobby is on the second floor (first floor in Europe). The drain in my room was slow, but I didn't bother having it fixed since I was only staying for two days. It's very close to the Old Port, just a 10-minute walk, and the area is quite lively with people coming and going."
Hôtel Carré Vieux Port
"The location is great! Convenient transportation! Rich breakfast! Great!"
