However, there's no elevator, and the spiral staircase is very difficult to navigate; carrying luggage up to the third floor was exhausting! So exhausting!"

"The hotel is well situated across the street from the St Charles bus and train station. Unfortunately, the area is run down, dirty, and a little scary after sunset. Trying to find a decent place to eat within walking distance was impossible. The hotel has a beautiful lobby and wonderful breakfast, and the room on the 2nd floor was adequate, although a bit cramped. I would like to give it higher marks but the area it was in pretty much makes it hard to recommend."

"I arrived at 1 AM and it seemed there was a miscommunication with Trip.com, as I was asked to pay on the spot. It took me an hour to contact Trip.com and sort out the issue. Thinking about it, if the payment didn't go through, the hotel should have contacted Trip.com themselves to resolve it, instead of asking a guest who had already paid to fix the problem. That's a real issue."

"I booked a room at this hotel for two men with separate beds. This was an important requirement when making the reservation. Upon arrival, we were given a room with only one bed, in a "romantic" configuration, which was completely contrary to my reservation. I immediately refused to stay and requested a refund, as the service was not provided as agreed. Despite this, my refund request was denied. I have already written twice to try to resolve the situation, but each time my request is rejected without any explanation. I am very disappointed by this lack of professionalism and respect for customers."
