Hotel Ligo by HappyCulture ★★★★
"First, the positives: The breakfast was fantastic, and the coffee was great, which is a rare find at this price point. The room had a kettle, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The hotel is a convenient 10-minute walk to the Old Port. The lobby offered free coffee and croissants. I was really worried about service staff in France only speaking French, but everyone at this hotel spoke excellent English. Now for the issues I encountered: Initially, I was given a room on the fourth floor. When I pulled back the covers, I found a significant amount of hair on the pillows, which seemed to be a mix of human and animal hair (this hotel is pet-friendly). Lifting the duvet revealed even more hair, making it seem like the cleaning staff hadn't changed the bedding at all. The front desk immediately offered me another room on the same floor. After moving my luggage, I still found a small amount of hair when I pulled back the covers in the new room. I then asked the front desk for a fresh set of sheets and duvet covers. They offered to move me again, this time to a room on the 6th floor. This room was much better, but the pillowcases had yellow stains on all four corners. I requested new pillowcases from the front desk and changed them myself. One minor concern: The hotel isn't on the main street and is a bit close to the train station, which made me slightly uneasy walking around at night."
La Residence du Vieux Port ★★★★
"Facing the Port of Marseille, the hotel has beautiful scenery and a superior geographical location. The hotel has a public paid parking lot, good service, rich breakfast, and there are many restaurants to choose from nearby. It is the first choice for sightseeing."

Mercure Marseille Centre Prado Vélodrome
"I go there often and am always just as satisfied!"
The Babel Community Hôtel - Vieux Port
"Stayed at this establishment twice, in a room and then in an apartment. The place is ideally located in the city center, a stone's throw from the old port. This establishment is new but lacks maintenance in both the common areas and the rooms and apartments. Dirty sheets and towels, limescale marks in the bathroom, etc. It's a real shame. The rooftop restaurant where breakfast is served offers a magnificent view."
InterContinental Hotels MARSEILLE - HOTEL DIEU by IHG
Luxury hotel housed in a historic landmark building near the Old Port, combining elegant accommodation with a prestigious waterfront location.
Les Bords de Mer
"I booked a room in Les Bords de Mer for my birthday. While booking i asked for an earlier check-in explaining the situation. When i arrived at the hotel at 3 pm on my birthday, guess what, my room was not ready yet. And instead of saying "Happy birthday" maybe?! The staff was occupied by charging my card extra 100 Euros as deposit as what if i drink a miniature champagne and not pay. Like really?! I also had birthday dinner at their restaurant, nobody said a word to me. Not my perfect birtday stay, definitely."
Aparthotel Adagio Access Marseille Prado Perier
"Hello, what's unfortunate is that the parking was supposed to be free for me in the ad because you didn't mention the price in advance. They charged me €20 for the parking space, and I don't think that's right; you should have mentioned it in the ad."
Crowne Plaza - Marseille Le Dôme by IHG
"Clean & spacious room, nice decoration. But location is away from key attractions and old port. Breakfast is okay."
Zenitude Hôtel-Résidences Marseille Prado
Stay in Marseille's Prado district with convenient access to public transport, local shops, Parc Chanot, and the Orange Vélodrome stadium.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Marseille Vieux Port
"Cleaning ladies were demonstrating 53 days in front of the hotel when I arrived. The rotating door was covered with mud and confetti, while the black women danced to loud African beats. A complete shock! They continued during my stay… The front desk was super helpful after I contacted their manager. My flight was delayed and I arrived a day late so they managed to modify my reservation without extra payment. My card didn’t work so I gave a cash deposit and they sent me an email when my suitcase that had been delayed arrived (so as not to wake me up). The housekeeping was average- twice they didn’t restock the water. Once they forgot a cleaning chemical. Another time they didn’t restock the decaffeinated capsules. Also they could have been more generous with the toilet paper. It’s the very thin recycled one, that goes fast. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant spacious, with a garden overlooking the marina. The room was large, modern and quiet, with an amazing view of the harbor, including both sunsets and sunrises! I even saw the incredible half an hour long fireworks for Bastille day right under my window! The bed is big and comfortable, pillows a bit too soft, lighting is good but there are no toiletries (which was initially problematic due to the lost luggage). Room service wasn’t available the only night that I wanted to order it - due to Bastille day celebrations. The QR code don’t work on my phone so I had to call the reception to order. Also there was no alcoholic drinks listed, plus I had no fridge in the room, so I couldn’t fully relax and enjoy my holiday. The hotel doesn’t have a spa, which is a shame. So I made a reservation online and got a massage in the Hammam spa a few minutes from the hotel)very expensive and not great). The closest one to the hotel was closed. The pool is gorgeous but in another building which requires another elevator to be taken at the ground floor. A bit of a hassle…The gym is basic but good. Gets pretty busy and dirty at the end of the day. There are many nice restaurants nearby and even a small Proxi shop. There is a bus stop 1min away, that goes to the Terrace du Port. And the taxi conveniently dropped me off right in front of the hotel. The Mucem and Cosquer caves visible from the hotel, are a bit pleasant 25min walk away and the well worth the visit. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, and would come again if the above issues were resolved."
Aparthotel Adagio Marseille Timone
"Too much too much thanks for everything"
Alex Hotel & Spa
"We stayed at ALEX for 3 nights and had a great time :) The reception staff were always very friendly and helpful, we were able to spontaneously book breakfast (which had a bit of a limited selection for breakfast lovers, but wasn't bad) and a massage in the spa (which was excellent!)"
Le Drips
"Very satisfied, the service is in place, the breakfast is very good."
Urban Loft & Spa Marseille
"The hotel has a great location, right next to Charles Central Station. The rooms are fully equipped, seemingly designed for long-term rentals, even including pots, pans, an induction cooker, a microwave, and a range hood. However, there's no elevator, and the spiral staircase is very difficult to navigate; carrying luggage up to the third floor was exhausting! So exhausting!"
