What makes this place special are the people. Yes, it is modern, tastefully designed and immaculate with great access to public transport and a couple of local treasures, the front desk with Tata, Tania and Sujata, complete with broad smiles and great local knowledge are a compliment to manager Emmanuel and Mr Fixit, Julian.

The location in the new business district of Marseilles, the cleanliness, free WiFi and the Novotel's spacious suites with a balcony and a view of the cruise terminal convinced us. Since we were on a road trip through France and Spain with some friends, we traveled in a van. Unfortunately, the parking garages in these countries only have a limited height, but in the parking garage of this accomodiation, which was a 5-minute walk away, it was suitable for our large vehicle, was very generous and was also discounted for hotel guests. The staff at Novotel Suites was very friendly, a bar, a gym and a restaurant with daily breakfast were among the amenities of this hotel. We didn't use the breakfast because there were very good and cozy breakfast places where you can sit outside in the surrounding area. A shopping mall and public transport connections (metro/tram) were in the immediate vicinity. The Old Harbor with a lot of seafood restaurants and a wonderful atmosphere in the evening was easy to reach in about 15 minutes on foot. We can recommend this hotel, especially for guests with a large car.

Located in the heart of the Old Port, the Grand Hotel Beauvau invites you to a sunny, exclusive Marseille stopover. In a contemporary ambience, the historic hotel of Marseille has retained its timeless spirit in the style of George Sand and Frederic Chopin who stayed there. The Grand Hotel Beauvau offers all the facilities for business meetings or to enjoy a relaxing Mediterranean feel.

Excellent four star hotel with good amenities in the rooms - shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower gel, body lotion plus nail file, shower cap, cotton buds, cotton wool pads and water in the mini fridge, safe in the room. Dressing gown and slippers provided. I paid extra for a slightly larger room with a view of the Old Port and it was well worth it. The Port is noisy but the double glazing is very good. The A/C in the room was good. The room and bathroom were clean and serviced daily. I thought the shower could do with an upgrade - no hotels have a hand held shower these days but it was sufficient. Also the room carpet and the main stair carpet are tired and could do with replacing but they were clean and vacuumed. The reception staff were fantastic - friendly, helpful, always pleased to see me when I came back in and interested in knowing what I’d been up to. Milolo was especially good, getting my room ready a bit earlier when I arrived on an early flight, helping with information and printing out my boarding card when I left, but they were all lovely. As a single woman traveller I felt safe and comfortable/at home in the hotel and would highly recommend it. I would definitely go back.

InterContinental Marseille-Hôtel Dieu is a luxury hotel located in Marseille’s historic Panier district. Overlooking the Vieux Port, our hotel’s massive staircases and magnificent terraces bear witness to the former statues of the building, an 18th century structure inaugurated by Napoleon III. Relax on the terrace with views of Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, dine at Michelin-starred restaurant, Alcyone. Rejuvenate with a swim at the indoor pool or a treatment at the chic SPA by Clarins.

The room is very clean, with a balcony, and is a 5-minute walk from the port terminal. The service is also very good. One of the waiters has been studying and living in China for several years and speaks very good Chinese. The breakfast is very good. The characteristic of foreign countries is that there are not many varieties, but the ingredients are very good. The disadvantage is that the swimming pool is very short, only 10 meters long, not suitable for swimming, purely for playing in the water. The gym is relatively simple, with much less fitness equipment than the domestic Intercontinental. Personally, I feel that going on vacation to Marseille or Nice is much better than going to Paris, there are not many people, it is quiet and comfortable. Paris is similar to Beijing and Shanghai. If you want to come once, it’s not interesting to see the palace and so on.

This will be a full review. First off the hotel is near a Metro station and near a “Gare” so a high speed train or metro is 5-15 minutes away by walk. The area of the hotel was fairly dirty, and classically smelled of sewers but that is just how France is sometimes. The check in process was great, they answered all our questions, were very knowledgeable and between both of them spoke very good French and English. It was explained to us that there would be no one entering our suite to clean during our stay. Alright. Not a huge issue but would have been nice. It can be done by request but I presume for a fee. (Will explain the snark later) Entering our room, it was bigger than our room was in Paris. It had a normal hotel size TV with decent channels. We had booked a double bed which was actually just two single beds. Unfortunately they didn’t even have a sheet between the mattress cover and the comforter. This is an issue because the A/C doesn’t work at all and leads to the window being open all night. There are mosquitos and we got bugged very often by them. But it was too warm in the room to close the window and the comforter was too warm to have on all the way. This led to some really poor sleeps. They do have a kitchenette which was decent but note that it only has enough plates and cutlery for 2 people. The bathroom was alright, fairly clean. They only left us 1 toilet paper roll which they again don’t come in your room to refill. They gave two towels, two face towels and a bath mat, fairly standard. It also had a great towel warmer which was a nice perk. Unfortunately we wanted new towels halfway through our stay and we’re told we had to pay extra for new towels! What the heck. That’s just BS. The shower was crap. Hot water only stayed on for a few minutes at most if you were lucky. The shower head is fine but the shower is designed in such a way, with no shower curtain just a 1/3 glass pane that water just spills all over the bathroom. You have to hold the shower head the whole time making it difficult to enjoy your shower. So we decided to wash our towels ourselves and some clothes as we are on a longer vacation. We had to buy our own soap, no problem with that. But the washing machine had a wash time of 40 minutes . We went down 40 minutes later and there was still 20 minutes on the timer. Not just that, but the clothes drier was broken and clearly had been for ages. So instead we had to drape our wet clothes across our room to dry everything. This was my first time staying at an adagio aparthotel. Had things been a little more standard and complimentary and well thought out for 200$ CAD a night, I would consider staying again but save yourself the trouble and pay a little more for a nicer place.

The street where the hotel is located is not so elegant, but not bad, but the environment near the Arc de Triomphe is really terrible. The receptionist was a gentle black gentleman. He said that there was a room on the first floor. We gave a room with a balcony on the second floor under our request, but the room could not be opened to the balcony. This rule is very strange. I have not encountered this rule in other places in France. Fortunately, the room facilities are good.

I was lucky enough (well, it was more than luck; I planned it) to stay in the Hôtel la Résidence du Vieux-Port for the fête nationale (July 14), so I got to see the parade, the jets with their tri-color trails, the parachutists and the amazing fireworks while nursing a pastis on my balcony overlooking the Vieux-Port. Beyond this peak experience, I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The location is great for exploring Marseille (an historic, lively, multicultural city you need to know), the rooms are a good size, the midcentury design is fun and the staff are always helpful and friendly. (I didn’t opt for the breakfast so I can’t comment on that.) Highly recommended, even without the fireworks!

This was a lovely hotel to stay at. I booked a room with a large terrace overlooking the port and the view was fantastic. I could have sat all day watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor. The room was spacious and well kept. The employees were very nice and helpful even as I practiced my French on them. The breakfast was quite special. It is served in a beautiful , light-filled room, again, with views of the port. You could sit inside or outside and the weather was beautiful while I was there in early June. The breakfast had many many choices, breads of all kinds, hot choices (such as bacon, eggs, sausages, petite potatoes, vegetables), cold cuts, many cheeses, several dessert options also. Really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel and wish I had stayed longer.

王王There is no airport shuttle bus at the apartment hotel, but there is a reservation at the time of booking. Finally, it is confirmed by Ctrip and the hotel that there is really no reservation service. The place to stay and the check-in are not on the first floor. The pick-up service that was originally reserved for the hotel is to save trouble. After the check-in, I have to drag the box and walk to the street to find the stairs. There is no elevator. The fifteen-year-old mother had to climb the stairs together. I told the waiter that at 9 o'clock the next morning, they came to help me carry the box down the stairs and hand over the keys. As a result, no one came at 9:25, no one answered the hotel, and finally gave the key. She is locked in the house. The tour guide who picked me up in the morning to pick up our day tour would not wait any longer... I also overcharged our 20 Euro extra fee, and finally I was thanked by Ctrip.

GGuest UserStayed at Residhome M****ille Joliette for four nights. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My room faced a quiet street and had all the necessary kitchenette facilities. Overall the property was clean and well-managed. I felt safe walking around in the neighborhood of the hotel. The fascinating Panier district is just a few minutes walk away from the hotel, and I was able to stroll around in the district many times while staying here. The Old Port is about twenty minutes away by foot. There is a subway stop around the corner that gets you to the main train station in about five minutes. There was also a nice esplanade a few blocks from the hotel where you have a nice view of the sunset over the sea. There were many restaurants nearby and a major supermarket about five minutes walk from the hotel. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

卢卢Good location, in a safe area in Marseille, convenient public transportation, public transportation is more than 20 minutes from the train station, not far from the bus and subway to Laogang or other attractions.
Cost-effective, the room is normal, and there is also a small kitchen. Although it is useless, the kitchen utensils look complete, and it is no problem to make a simple meal.
Breakfast was not eaten at the hotel, there is a bakery nearby fresh bread juice coffee
璐璐璐漫游记The self-guided tour chose this accommodation, the environment is relatively clean and refreshing, the hotel apartment, someone cleaned the next day. The transportation is very convenient, 5 minutes to the subway station, you can take the subway two or three stations to the train station or the old port. The price is also relatively cost-effective.
GGuest UserMy husband and I stayed for one night at this hotel. You can't check in until 3pm, no matter what - even if your flight arrives at 9am in the morning, so be aware that they will need to hold your bags if you wish to drop them off. Staff was very friendly, but right at 3pm, everyone arrives to check in and the wait can take a little time. Our room was pretty small, but had a little kitchen area and a decent sized bathroom. The bed was fairly comfortable and the view was basically of a run-down apartment building in the back of the property (depressing). We fortunately had a good nights rest with very little noise. There's a Nespresso machine in the room and you can buy pods at the front desk. The location is walkable to many tourist shops and restaurants right in Old Port. The room appeared to be clean, but a bit run down. I would suggest a one night's stay if needed, but to stay longer might cramp your style if you wish for something a bit more roomy and charming. Overall, good stay and a good place for walking around Old Port and surrounding neighborhoods.

I had to book 2 night accomodation at short notice, this was a basic accomodation only.. There was no telephone between my room & reception in a large block of flats. The paper system at reception took a messge from my friends (my mobile phone had been stolen) but that messge never reached me, there was never a note on my door in the block of flats. The cooking pot was for 4 or 6 peopple, there needs ot be one at a size for just 1 or 2 people as it was a twin room. The bed(s) were board beds with a single mattress only on top. It was more suited to people with cars as there was parking & it was near the A50 route.. But I was on public transport & it took at least 30 minutes to get to the twon centre. To be fair,it was quiet & there was greenspace nearby. I would only book this place again if there was nowhere else to go.

AAnonymous UserThe location is average, the facilities are old, the shower head doesn't work, and the breakfast is OK. Parking available. The TV is too small. The service staff were quite polite and it was enough for a personal business trip.
