terrie leeConvenient location with access to parking which was rather pricey 43 euro for 38 hours even with discount. You can leave your car and spend the day walking around Marseille.
It’s walking distance to both old and new ports. Near the hotel there are two shopping malls - Deck Village and Printemps.

I chose this hotel because it is close to the train station and convenient to take the airport line the next day. The location is very good, just a few steps from the subway station, two stops to the old port. Most of the attractions in Marseille are around the old port.
There are not many hotel rooms, the room is not big or small, if you open two large boxes, there is a little restriction on walking.
The room rate is early, there are not many breakfast options, there is a courtyard where you can eat breakfast, you can have a cup of coffee in the courtyard.

I had a great stay as always at this BnB — check-in and check-out were smooth and convenient. I chose this location because it’s close to the embassy I needed to visit. The receptionist (unfortunately I didn’t catch her name) was very helpful and kind. I was unprepared for my appointment, but she went out of her way to help me by finding scissors and glue so I could attach my photo to a document. She even looked for them in the next office! I really appreciated her small but thoughtful gestures. I also stored my bag there and picked it up after my appointment. Although my embassy visit didn’t go well, my experience at the BnB was still excellent thanks to her.

Coming out of the train station, head towards Marseille's Arc de Triomphe. You'll know you're there when you see the Arc de Triomphe Hotel; the entrance is on the right and the hotel itself is on the left. If you have luggage, use the side entrance as the main entrance has steps. The rooms aren't cleaned daily, and extra towels come with an additional charge. It gets incredibly hot in the room, even though it doesn't get much direct sunlight. If the price difference isn't significant, I'd recommend booking a room with a balcony. Those rooms face outwards and offer a view of the Arc de Triomphe.
There was a bit of a mix-up with my Ctrip reservation. The younger guy at the front desk couldn't find my booking, but the more experienced staff member was really helpful and sorted it out even before Ctrip could. The French lady at the front desk during check-out was excellent, very proactive, and even said goodbye in Chinese!

AspieDuring this trip, I was fortunate enough to choose this hotel as my resting place, and it certainly gave me an unforgettable stay.
First of all, the check-in process is extremely convenient. I arrived at the hotel a full two hours ahead of the expected check-in time, but the front desk staff did not the slightest inconvenience or evasion, but in a very warm attitude for me to check in quickly. Secondly, the room itself is large and comfortable to live in, and offers a wide variety of kitchenware and cutlery.
All in all, convenient check-in, warm service, comfortable room, a perfect experience beyond expectations!

The biggest advantage is that the train station is very close. The train station is on a high ground. It is very difficult to pull boxes in the city, such as the old port. It is recommended that the subway taxi is closer. The whole Marseille has various heights and lows. ibis is mainly soundproofed. The sound of other neighbors closing the door is not loud outside the window. Breakfast is really good at this price hotel.

Guest UserThe room is fine but the surround area seems quite empty. Not easy to find a restaurant nearby

The room was perfect, had airconditioning, good bed, clean.
The only thing is that they should regularly check if everything still works fine. Specifically, lamps and items in the bathroom.
