Summit Views Hakuba ★★★
"Generally good experience. It's renovated and clean. The only thing is we booked with A/C and didn't have one in the room. It was quite hot then."
Hotel Sierra Resort Hakuba ★★★★
"One the most memorable stay of my life will definately comeback again"
Hakuba Canadian Lodge ★★
"We had all the necessary tools and enjoyed cooking with my friends! The room itself was clean and comfortable, making our stay very pleasant!! We'd love to come back again!"
Hakuba Tokyu Hotel ★★★★
"Lovely hakuba stay for our first time here. shuttle bus stops right at the hotel - very convenient"
Hotel Hakuba ★★★
"The location and view is great. The room is very clean and well maintained. The beds are a bit on the harder side though."
Ringo Lodge Hakuba ★★
"all over is ok except the check out time is 9:30 too fast and the breakfast is also just 1 hour 7:00-8:00 and they focus to have at 7:30 it's mean we shave only 30 mins to have breakfast.."
The Happo by Hhg ★★★★
"We had a lovely stay at the Happo with our 8 and 11 year-old boys in July. The family room is really well equipped with bunkbeds and has a nice fun vibe. The staff (many Aussies and Kiwis) were extremely helpful. The Club House next door prepared simple but tasty food and was open quite long hours. There is also an Italian restaurant on site but it was closed while we were there. As we were there during summer they were very limited food options with most restaurants around the town closed for the season. The resort has a very modern Onsen that was really nice too. Overall great! Very central. Car essential during summer season. I think during the ski season and you would be fine without because I think the Happo offers free shuttles to the ski lifts etc."
Pension Serenade ★★
"The owner was very kind and even drove us to the bus terminal. The breakfast was delicious."
Reposer Hakuba ★★★
"Very nice staff. Good breakfast. Large room and good view. Will re-visit for sure."

Hakuba Mominoki Hotel
"What we liked: - The decor in the reception area with its big fireplace feels very welcoming and cosy and reminded me a bit of a British hunting lodge. Very stylish. We loved it! - Very nice terrace with torch light in the evening. Great atmosphere. - We also liked the glamping area in the forest next door, with its pub. - The room was quite spacious and very clean. - Very friendly staff, providing excellent service! What we didn't like so much: - It's a shame that the only two dinner options available are either buffet-style at the restaurant or barbecue in the glamping area. It would be nice to be able to have a served meal on the restaurant terrace, but unfortunately only buffet dinner is available. - So we opted for the barbecue, which was great - except for the fact that between the salad and the barbecue, we were served cheese fondue. Apart from the fact that summer doesn't quite feel like the right season for a fondue, it was very filling, so that we - sadly - had to leave behind quite a bit of the excellent meat and vegetables, as our stomachs were already quite full. My suggestion to the hotel management would be to skip the fondue (and reduce the price accordingly). Or at least add it as an option for those who really want it. That said, the local beef was fantastic, and we also liked the presentation. - Breakfast was a bit of a let-down for me as a Westerner. Only the standard choices of bread you find in most Japanese hotels (tiny soft croissants, soft rolls and toast). It would be great if some Swiss/German-style rustic bread choices were available as an alternative for those who don't like a Japanese breakfast. Also, the coffee (served from one of those big containers) was very disappointing. For an establishment like this, I would have expected an espresso machine, offering guests different kinds of coffee (cappuccino, cafe au lait, espresso), which should be seen as the general standard nowadays. - We didn't quite understand why the glamping area as well as the bar were only open until 9pm - in the middle of the summer holiday season! With no other places within walking distance (as far as we were aware), that very much limited our options for after-dinner drinks. There was live piano entertainment in the bar area near the reception, but it stopped at 9pm sharp, just as we were coming back from dinner in the glamping area. Such a shame! - While the room was OK (spacious, functional and clean), there is one thing that annoyed us: The step to get into the bathroom. I almost stumbled on two occasions when getting out of the bathroom, because I didn't expect a step to be there. I think it could potentially be quite dangerous. If there were a light at the bottom of the step, that would at least make it a bit safer. Overall a very nice stay, even though it was (unfortunately) only for one night."
Garden Pension Obergurgl
"It’s a really cozy hostel with your own room. The staff is really welcoming and friendly, would really help you in any way possible. I dont mind the shared bathroom, I never had a problem with it and it was never full during my stay. The pillows were soft and there is also a heater. If I feel too warm I just open the windows. Location wise, it was a bit of a challenge to go up Goryu plaza since it was winter and it was a long ramp going up, maybe took me 10-12mins. I didn’t rent a car so I had to book an uber to and from Hakuba station. They only have 2 toilets in the male’s restroom in the 2nd flr"
Restaurant & Hotel Traumerei
"Coziest hotel I have stayed in my life."
Hakuba Hotel Ougiya
"It's close to Hakuba Happo-one and just a five-minute drive from Hakuba Iwatake, making it a great location for ski season. Because we stayed during the off-season, there weren't many other guests and it was quiet. The water pressure in the shower in the large communal bath was a bit of a concern, but other than that, I was satisfied. ◎ The buckwheat galette at breakfast was especially delicious!"
Hotel la Vigne Hakuba by Onko Chishin
"Great and attentive service. Large rooms. Arranged a nice private teppanyaki dinner for us with an outstanding chef and wait staff."
Hatago Maruhachi
"I'm not satisfied"
Hakuba Panorama Hotel
"Overall a good stay. For some reason this time round the breakfast was the same for our entire one week stay. A little bit more variety will be good."
Square 8 Hakuba Retreat by Unplan
"Fluency English reception.👍 The room is bigger than I expected. Absolutely clean. The overall is cozy and relaxing. Because of the snowing time the parking is a bit far from the hotel. The other else is 💯💯💯💯. Thank you."
Hotel Hakuba Hifumi
"We had a truly superb stay here in January. We stayed for 7 nights in the busy new year season for skiing and this place was wonderful. We didn’t have a private onsen in our room but it didn’t matter, the room was beautiful and comfortable and the private onsen available for booking was always available at a convenient time and was such a treat at the end of a long day skiing! The food is really excellent. Beautiful breakfasts every morning (we had both Japanese and Western style breakfasts, both delicious). We also had two dinners here and it was some of the best food we had in Hakuba! We were collected from the train station and dropped off on our day of check out at no extra cost. The location is perfect, 1 min from the bus to Happo One and 3 mins from the bus for all other ski fields. Special thanks to Yuko Beppu who was really wonderful, and who answered all our questions via email before we even arrived! Couldn’t recommend a stay here more highly, was a really special experience we will cherish for years to come!"
Courtyard by Marriott Hakuba
"Cozy hotel, nice breakfast, practical rooms, with a relaxing hot spring."
Hotel Oak Forest
"Although it's a bit far out, it's easy to find if you're driving, and they offer a shuttle service. Don't expect too much from the breakfast and dinner, as they're pretty standard. However, there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The on-site public bath is fantastic for soaking in after a day of skiing!"
Gensen No Yado Maruishi Ryokan
"The service was excellent. The staff were friendly. The food was delicious."
Hakuba Pension & Log Hotel Meteor
"Beautiful wooden house, clean and hygienic. There are rooms with bathrooms. Some rooms are shared. WiFi is not available in some rooms. Since it is a wooden house, you have to walk lightly. Overall, it is very good! Consider staying here if you have the opportunity to come to Hakuba!"
Marukin Ryokan
"I stayed in early October, and the hotel was sparsely populated. The staff was incredibly friendly, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the onsen was excellent, with a window overlooking a small garden. The room was traditionally decorated, had everything you needed, and the futon was very comfortable. I was very happy with everything! If I come back to Huckabee, I'll definitely stay here!"
Hakuba Mahoroba
"Excellent, far exceeded my expectations! The owner was incredibly kind and attentive, treating us like close family. I loved my stay here and will definitely come back."
