Did a super short one night vacation with my family and this place was great. I'm not into onsens, but it was nice to have it for my daughter and wife. They loved it. I loved the views in the morning. We came in on a rainy day, but the morning was incredible! The Hakuba valley area is gorgeous and the view from the room was nice to wake up to. As a previous Hilton and Marriott hotel staff, I was very happy to see the staff service on point. The front desk must have good communication with the kitchen staff because they knew I was coming, and my god the food was awesome. Even if I go back for a day trip to Hakuba, I'll hit up the Hakuba Taproom at the bottom of the hotel. The burgers were super satisfying, and the tacos were awesome. I only tried three of the beers they had (too full), but the beer selection was also good. Looks like craft beers from all over Japan. There's a patio area for eating and drinking, and there are activities mixed in. Convenient for my kids.

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed. The area Echoland is close to restaurants on walking distance and other places are just 5-10 mins by car. Very close to ski lifts, which makes it a good choice. The house is very convenient and has all the facilities you need.

TTINGWe spent 6 nights at this lovely hotel run by kind people. It provided all everything we needed including good breakfast, clean room, bathroom (onsen) and above all kindness. I admire greatly the 82 years old granny who continues to help the guests and continue to learn English. The chef Masa cooks authentic French cuisine.
GGuest UserWe stayed here for 2 nights in July. The hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable. The lack of vegetarian / vegan food options was disappointing considering this is a Marriott Hotel. The resteraunt may not be theirs, but still expected better. The staff were very helpful, although the hotel shuttle to drop us to the station was only available for a 30 minute timeslot in the morning. Strange, but not a problem. Location is good, still has a feel that it could be a lot better by just making small improvements. Its the details that matter, at least that is why we booked Marriott. Still, we would stay here again (and maybe bring our own food).
GGuest UserI was disturbed by the meteor flower garden for consecutive nights at the end of the year. I think that it has an atmosphere that is healed by the tired body and breathes of the trip. I was able to interact with people from other countries in the guesthouse and had a good time. I met Taiwanese, Hong Kongers, Chinese mainlanders, and occasionally Swiss people, and I was excited about skiing with everyone. I am really grateful for the advice to me as a beginner. The administrator was very kind and taught me the information around me and learned a lot. I will visit again during the next snowy season.
GGuest UserThis is a cottage type inn. Park your car in front of the cottage. Guests were greeted by a plate with their name and pet's name written on it. Pets are allowed in all cottages, beds and restaurants. The cottage itself has changed over time and is by no means new, but it was clean and had everything we wanted. Most of the pet-related amenities are also available, so there is no inconvenience. All of the staff I met at the front desk and restaurant were kind and gentle, even though they were young, and I felt comfortable. I made a reservation for my meal at Lava Grill. The meat was very tasty, but I felt like there wasn't enough variety. I might say it's just right for me when I'm about 80 percent full, but the breakfast was particularly tsukudani-based, which was a bit unsuitable for me as I don't eat white rice. There are repeats.
GGuest UserI had earlier planned to stay at another hotel but on a waiting list by hotel Tokyu . A gentleman by The. Name of Yoshida wrote to me explaining very carefully all I needed to know about the hotel and that they now can house me . Very polite very helpful . They didn’t ask for a deposit which I’m not sure is the correct protocol but since they offered trust , I also decided to trust them and accept the offer . While there every one of the staff were there to help , and there was a half jap / English chap who also guided me with tips to where to visit et al. These made up for us being a little further off the centre of things . The bus shuttle for the ski slopes schedule by the resort was adequate although I would wish it to be more frequent . We walked most of the time to the nearby Happo village area for foods. In the first day snow was sparing , but the coming days that all change and what a pretty site . Getting meals was tough , u need to beeok a day ahead at least , and usually only two slots 1730 or 1930 . We adjusted ourselves . The hotel itself is well maintained, has its charm , and breakfast was excellent . I don’t understand the fuss on Google reviews saying they were all the same . It’s a buffet , of course it has to be . Anyway all in all despite being further away from centre , think it is still an excellent hotel with impeccable and hardworking staff making sure all went well . Thank you Tokyu

The price is moderate. It is a bit far from the scenic spot, suitable for self-driving tour.
There is no good brunch nearby, Fortunately, the hotel provides a simple breakfast.
There is a big restaurant 2 minutes away by foot, It is only open at night, and it is a good Japanese restaurant.
Features hot stone facilities. The bathroom in the room is relatively simple, and the public bathing place has to go to the annex a few buildings away.
quiet and simple community

GGuest UserThis trip to White Horse stayed in three hotels, run by Japanese, and European and American. This home is the most satisfying.
First of all, the hotel chosen by the Japanese in Hakuba must be better than the Europeans. No matter the cleanliness of the hotel or the enthusiasm of the boss.
This old Japanese couple has been running a homestay for over 30 years.
At first glance, the boss has accumulated many years. The homestay occupies two single-family villas, and the boss owns a bus! The two of us sat on the exclusive bus to enjoy the pick-up and drop-off service. My chin was frightened. I never came to Baima to see the hotel's own bus.
The location is great. Five minutes walk from base camp, one of Hakuba's core bus stops. If you go to Wuxi 47, it will be more convenient.
Besides the room. It is very large and has its own separate toilet (including bathroom), which is not available in many Japanese-style hotels. The only shortcoming of the room was the two of us, but there were only two single beds and no large bed. A new family room was given to us when I checked in. It was also three single beds, so maybe there is no double room?
The room we booked did not include meals. The breakfast was 600 yen per person. We thought it was not expensive and we tried it. Em, there was only one slice of toast and unlimited coffee milk cereal, which was too monotonous and not worth trying. It is better to go out a few hundred meters to buy breakfast near base camp.
Finally the owner is very enthusiastic (this is the advantage of all Japanese homestays). There are local apples for sale at the front desk. The price of 100 is a conscience. I stayed for 3 nights and ate 5 apples. It was very sweet.
MMeowVanWhat an awesome experience! The hotel offered exemplary service before we even arrived. Due to special travel arrangements, we arrived late and the staff quick to arrange an in-room bento dinner for us before our arrival. When we got there, we were immediately blown away by the gorgeousness of the hotel.
Despite its age, everything was very clean and polished. I can see that great care had been taken to upkeep the hotel and it’s premises, which are extraordinarily beautiful. We couldn’t resist taking pictures even after check-out, and it took us an hour to finally reluctantly leave. Words cannot actually do the place justice, you must visit there yourself.
We were very impressed with how delicious the food was, and the attention to detail, including the placement of the food, the coordination of food color. My mouth is still watering as I recall how delicious it was. I had 10 helpings of their prime rib one day. Besides, I had a dietary restriction and the staff were really careful with that, to the extent of reminding me what dishes not to eat everyday at their breakfast and dinner buffet.
In addition to excellent food and service, the hotel went out of its way to be very eco-friendly. For every day that we did not need our room to be tidied, we earned points, which can be traded in for ice cream or other goodies.
Finally, the staff spoke perfect English. This is rare indeed, and it made everything so much easier and so much more enjoyable. Thanks for the experience!
GGuest UserOvernight for children's skiing. It's a lift on the slopes across the road, but you need to buy a lift ticket at the ski center, which is about a five-minute walk away. It seems that there is no dinner and there is no large communal bath, but the hot spring is less than five minutes by car. There is no inconvenience to go out to eat. The room was large and comfortable with a family suite. It was a little inconvenient that I couldn't access the drying room directly due to the snow, but there was almost no problem. WiFi was weak indoors. The staff was Chinese but Japanese was OK and they responded very kindly.
GGuest UserAlthough it has already passed the winter skiing season, the white horses only open the ski resorts on the top of the mountain. The hotel can also provide real-time information on the ski resorts. The day is relatively deserted, the restaurant has fewer choices for breakfast and dinner, and the taste is still good. The hot spring has become a personal package. box
