This is a wonderful place! There’s a piano, a large screen TV for you to do karaoke. It is ALWAYS clean. The showers are nice. There’s shampoo, conditioner etc. in the shower. The washing machine and dryer are brand new, with washing liquid provided. The towel provided is fluffy and lovely. The whole place is so opulently decorated! There’s a lift, so you don’t need to carry your luggage up any stairs. There’s water and tea provided 24/7. The bed is comfortable, lovely white sheets and fluffy duvet. The toilet seats are heated! The rooms are lovely and large. Plenty of room to open your suitcase up fully. Personal Charging ports in your bed area + a personal lockable safe in your bed area too. Across the road from the metro, so super easy to get around! Great location. Lots of places to eat close by, and mini-marts for fruit and veges etc. highly recommend!!! Clean, safe, big, lovely. I was booked for three nights and extended it to 10 nights! I felt so safe as a solo female traveller. So glad I chose to stay!

really cute and nice place but bathroom was very very dirty. ***** hair in the shower and clogged drain, i had to ask them to unclog twice, first time guy went and kinda pretended to unclog, and the second time they just said “it will go down slowly” and just left the drain clogged. bathroom was really wet after shower. also had to ask to clean the ***** hairs and they didn’t clean properly. the toilet was dirty and the sink was also dirty around the drain. no elevators so be prepared if you come with heavy luggage.
room is very nice and clean. desk girls were also very nice. the cat in the lobby was my favourite part.
I’d just like to ask them to pay more attention to the cleanliness and unclog the drains. I would definitely stay there again though.
My stay was fine overall. I appreciated that they allowed me to refund the remaining nights when I decided to check out earlier than expected. The rooms are clean, but if you end up with messy roommates, it can get untidy quickly. The toilets could use better maintenance, though. On the plus side, the place feels secure, with a personal locker provided for each guest in the room.

I stayed at the Dajin Youth Hostel for 1 month during my language exchange in Shanghai. Normally, staying at a hostel for that long wouldn’t be possible for me—at some point, you just need a bit more comfort. That’s also why I didn’t pre-book everything in advance.
Nevertheless, I ended up staying a full month and never once felt like I was missing out on much luxury. The rooms and the bathroom were quite nice and cleaned several times a day. I also had normal roommates—no weirdos at all.
What made the stay really special was the people. Everyone I met there was super friendly. During my month-long stay, I never felt alone. Whenever I felt like socializing, I just went to the lobby, and within 5 minutes I’d be chatting with five new people.
If you ever need some quiet time, there’s a really nice working area on the third floor—perfect for getting things done or just having a bit of ”me time.”
The hostel’s infrastructure was also great. They have a clean, well-equipped gym (I mean its a free gym in a hostel), working zones on both the 3rd and 2th floors, a makeup room, a call room, and a free laundry room with plenty of space to hang your clothes. And of course, the lobby has a great bar with every kind of beer you can imagine.
The staff were amazing—young adults who are always ready to help and also just super chill to talk to. Big shoutout to Jing, Ze, Zhu, and Niu! Hope I’ll see you again when I come back.
Thanks for the pleasant stay!

The location is very convenient, it’s not far from Hongqiao airport and close to the railway station, and you can get everywhere in downtown very fast. The room was very comfortable and very quiet, the hotel looks new and well maintained, it’s very clean. They provide good Chinese tea in the room, and a lot of other things, there is a coffee station on the lobby, self laundry and everything you need. The personnel is very helpful, I think, all of the workers or most of them speak English very well. I appreciate to ms Wu Qiu and Mr Tang for warm welcoming, I enjoyed my stay, thank you!

Nice location with a lot of restaurant and market nearby. 15 min walk from the subway or the Shanghai Railway Station. Room was dirty with handkerchiefs below the bed and dust everywhere. But it's one of the most cheapest place of the town so it's okay

The location is the best.
The dormitory has a shelf on the wall of the private bed
View of Nanjing East Road from the dormitory.
Beer, beverages, snacks and cup noodles are available for purchase in public spaces.
The smell of cigarettes and cleaning in the accommodation need to be improved.
Can be a good option, the localisation is good for the price.
Plus : nice staff, common area is very nice
Cons: I was in a room for 4 we had a bathroom for us, the door was a lightly smoked glass with a big gap = no shower or going to the toilet in peace
And the room it was not really clean

This is an amazing hostel in a fantastic area of Shanghai located near 2 subway lines, several malls and many buses and walking distance to Shanghai tower/ Oriental pearl tower!
A little hard to find on the 2nd floor inside the shopping center at 4am but when called they were able to give directions. (Called Dengba Inn on Apple Maps)
Everyone is really friendly here and the stay is great!
The bed is a typical cabin bed but you get an outlet, fresh bedding (put on yourself) and a little table and light. The bed is comfy, the room has a shower and toilet separate from the sink which is useful and great when sharing with other people - though can be a little messy! (You get your own locker - safe with only keycard access but people leave things everywhere! Not the places fault)
Couldn’t recommend this place enough and if I go back would definitely stay here again!

It was a great experience. The hostel is quite easy to find, but the pannel is in chinese only. I have stayed in a 8 beds female room for one night. The room was great, it provided sleepers, sheets and even had air conditionning. The showers were pretty good. It was very calm the night that I have stayed. The bed is big and confortable and big. There was much place for storing things inside of the bed. However, the locker didn't work. The common space is nice and cozy, the view is cool (view picture attached). I didn't but you can order drinks there. The location is very convenient, close to the bund, you can just walk. It is close to the subway. I highly recommend this hostel.

구구름구름이• Excellent central location: All branches are near metros, shopping, and tourist hotspots like The Bund, People’s Square, and Jing’an Temple .
• Value for money: Dorm beds from around US $15–20/night; flagged as great for budget travelers .
• Friendly staff: Frequently praised for helpfulness—even with limited English, they try to assist .
• Good facilities: Private lockers with password, AC, Free Wi‑Fi, ensuite or common bathrooms; some branches include a café/bar/lounge .
• Clean and well‑appointed rooms: Many guests mention tidy spaces, fresh bedding, blackout curtains giving a privacy boost .

GGuest UserI had the small single room, which was very nice as a solo traveller - clean and simple. The bathroom's cleanliness was however quite questionable. The toilets were not cleaned regularly enough (overflowing trash cans and horrible odors at times), the sinks had not been thoroughly cleaned for a long time. Long-term residents leave their stuff everywhere and no one cleans up after them.
Apart from that, the staff was always nice, there are shared areas for hanging out, washing machine, water dispenser, and the option to buy water/ soft drinks at the reception and a vending machine downstairs. Toothbrush, slippers and disposable towel were provided.
AAnonymous UserThe location is superb. Metro and shops are all extremely near. However the space is actually quite small and a bit hard to find. Asking around will help you find the hostel easily.
The room is quite small and best for travellers travelling light. I had some trouble with a large suitcase as there's not enough space to open it.
Staffs were super super friendly and accomodating. They were willing to help and assist.

CCharlene BonaventureWords are not enough to explain the amazing experience that i had. I was upgraded to a private bathroom room. The service staff are friendly and warm and can speak English. The room cleanliness is on top notch. There is lounge area, free drinking water supply, food access within the place. The room even though sharing, has blinds to block the loght on your side of the bed, warm shower water and shampoo plus conditioner and shower gel. There are lockers at the place and at the lounge is well decorated with games. Power outlets at the bed are like four and you can just plug i. Your usb cable. The location is easy to get to, metro station is just 700 meters at the nanjing pedestrian street. Just excellent and whenever i have friends to shanghai on low budget but want to experience shanghai in style i would recommend this place for stay. Very understanding staff, i got lost so i was late to check out, they serviced
me with a smile at all time. Very very helpful
MMahoushaojiuFacilities: Complete facilities and everything else is available
Hygiene: The hygiene is acceptable
Environment: Nice environment and good atmosphere
Service: Good service and very clear. I will stay here again if I have the chance to come to Shanghai.
JJulianeGreat location right by the metro. The entrance was a bit hard to find but it is right to the right of the police station. The hostel overall didn’t seem super clean but fine, my room however had a bit of a smell, maybe because of someone eating something but I’m not sure. The bed cubicle was pretty clean and the light up mirror was a great feature. The mattress was pretty thin and hard but comfortable for me. For any western travelers, be aware that there are no regular toilets as with a lot of hostels in China. All in all it was a cheap and convenient stay for a few nights but it wasn’t a great experience.

,,.dI don't like to comment on accommodations, no matter they are good or bad. I'm a Buddhist. But to be honest, this time the price and environment were really unexpected. It can be said to be the most cost-effective one among the youth hostels. It is clean and tidy as can be seen with the naked eye. Basically, all facilities are provided, including water dispensers, laundry rooms, microwave ovens, etc. The hall for eating and resting on the first floor is also very comfortable, and the bathroom is incredibly clean. In short, it really deserves praise. Finally, I would like to specially praise the cleaning lady who is very polite and responsive. Most importantly, she is very patient and careful. She always smiles and says hello. She helped me with the room card when I forgot to leave it on the washing machine, and told me where to dry the clothes. This boss has a good eye for selecting employees. In short, I hope you will treat employees who are beneficial to you well. Employees who consider customers in addition to matters within the scope of their work are really worth cherishing.
