Gorgeous exposed brick apartment in newly restored historic 2 BR, 2BA. 5 minute walk to the Arch, 2 minute walk to convention center, 2 minute walk to the Horseshoe (Caesars) Casino, 3 minute to many restaurants, 10 minute walk to Busch Stadium.The newly rehabbed historic building is 2 blocks to the MetroLink train that goes through downtown to the airport and to Scott AFB. 2 blocks to Eads Bridge and 3 block to the Mississippi RiverBuilt as a hotel in 1905 the historic building's full rehab was completed in fall 2024. The 3rd floor walk-up apartment features an upscale 2BR/2BA apartment with lots lots of exposed brick, original floors and new windows.The kitchen is well organized and has high-quality cabinets, counters and appliances. It includes all you should need to have a great family experience. The (two) bathrooms are similarly organized.We're conveniently located near most of St. Louis' top attractions only a short walk to the Arch, Busch Stadium, the dome and convention center, Horseshoe Casino, Four Seasons Hotel, Mississippi River, historic Washington Avenue and all that downtown has to offer.There is street parking in front of the building. It is FREE between 7pm Saturday and 8am Monday and is otherwise metered. You can use the ParkMobile App or ParkLouie App - each available on Google Play or Apple’s iTunes.Other than parking on the street, there is a paid parking lot (not ours) immediately adjacent to the building. To the south of the building (between the building and the Arch) is a parking lot which is (generally) $8 per day (without in/out privileges) but the lot owners bump the rates if there are big events when the lots may charge a premium rate. We have negotiated a special $10.00 all day in/out pass for that lot. Please let us know if you want that as we'll need to coordinate getting you the pass.If there is ANYTHING you need to ensure you have a spectacular experience, please let us know.Guests get full use of the whole 3rd floor apartment. You'll get a door access code before your scheduled check in time.As we've mentioned elsewhere, we are 100% committed to you having a 5-star experience and will work hard to ensure that happens. Though we've had a lot of real estate experience this is our first foray into hosting an VRBO. We've stayed at many VRBO's and have worked hard to make sure all the things we've enjoyed - as well as things we wish had been there - are covered. If there is anything you need to ensure you have a spectacular experience, please let us know and we'll do what we can to accommodate.We hope you'll treat our apartment with the care are respect you would wish from others. We've tried to provide that in our Guidebook but we have a list that is much more complete than what we are permitted to add via the Guidebook....There is street parking in front of the building. It is FREE between 7pm Saturday and 8am Monday and is otherwise metered. You can use the ParkMobile App or ParkLouie App - each available on Google Play or Apple’s iTunes.Other than parking on the street, there is a paid parking lot (not ours) immediately adjacent to the building. To the south of the building (between the building and the Arch) is a parking lot which is (generally) $8 per day (without in/out privileges) but the lot owners bump the rates if there are big events when the lots may charge a premium rate. We have negotiated a special $10.00 all day in/out pass for that lot. Please let us know if you want that as we'll need to coordinate getting you the pass.As we've mentioned, we are 100% committed to you having a 5-star experience and will work hard to ensure that happens. Though we've had a lot of real estate experience this is our first foray into hosting an VRBO. We've stayed at many VRBO's and have worked hard to make sure all the things we've enjoyed - as well as things we wish had been there - are covered. The fully stocked kitchen has espresso machine, drip coffee, tea, spices, cooking ware (Pots, Pans, etc), dining ware (wine glasses, coffee mugs, children's cups, plates, and silverware, etc), microwave, toaster, dishwasher, stove, and fridge. The modern bathroom includes a shower as well as a bathtub for a relaxing bubble bath or a great space to bath the kids. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine or BBQing on the large gas grill on the back porch, with views of the beautiful trees and backyard garden. Location:Location is everything! This loft is near Downtown Saint Louis and Forest Park and walkable to Tower Grove Park and the Botanical Gardens. You’ll love the mature trees and scenic views. The neighborhood is very walkable. I include a welcome manual with lots of great Saint Louis attractions. I LOVE Saint Louis and want to share that joy with you. Saint Louis has so much to offer!Parking:You will have access to one off street parking spot, located in the back of the property, plus an additional space shared w/1st FLR. Additional free street parking is available. The house is located on a quiet, one way street with ample parking. The Bedrooms: The first bedroom includes a full size bed with a twin trundle underneath, closet, and a 43 in. Roku TV. The second bedroom includes a high quality and extremely comfortable queen bed and 43 in. smart Roku TV with plenty of room to store clothing and other items in the dresser, two side tables, or closet. The third bedroom, located in the back of the home includes a comfortable queen bed, two side tables, book shelves and large closet, and access to the back patio. All bedrooms are equipped with a sound machine, to ensure a sound sleep for all guests (even if you’re traveling with young ones or noisy friends!) Entertainment & Streaming: Kickback and watch the 55in smart TV in the living room. A Netflix, Hulu, and Disney account is provided on all TV’s throughout the home or feel free to log into any of your accounts on Roku, Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, etc. Laundry: You will have access to your own washer & dryer, located in the basement.Traveling with Children? The space is GREAT for kids. We are parents of young children and understand the importance of safety and convenience. The entire apartment is setup with this in mind: all outlets are covered and the home is free of dangerous or breakable items and a baby gate is installed at the stairs. We also include a pack n play with mattress and fitted sheet, high chair, booster seat, baby monitors, play mat, infant bouncy seat, coloring and crafting tools for kids, single and double jogging strollers, and a bunch of toys. (Something you need not listed, just ask! But don't wait too long, if it takes ordering and installing I'll need a heads up). Suffer From Allergies? This Vacation Home comes with a heavy duty Air Purifier and I ensure that the filters are changed regularly not only on the Air Purifier but on the home's furnace system as well. Also, each time guests stay the home is exceptionally cleaned and disinfected along with detailed dusting each and every time. Traveling with Pets? Pets: The space is pet friendly. Please note that there will be a $60 dollar pet fee. You are responsible for picking up dog poop in the backyard (bags supplied by us), and we ask that you refrain from having pets on the furniture and to give your dog a bath before your trip. Guest access:The entire 2nd floor apartment, back porch, and one parking spot in the back of the home is for your personal use. You will have your own washer and dryer, which are located in the basement of the home, a space shared with 1st FLR.
