Service was average - was a bit slow. You get what you expect in a 4-star hotel. Overall experience was okay except for the room we were in.
Do not stay in room L501 (Cellar Premier) if you're going as a family. You will not get a good night's rest because you'll hear the stomping or footsteps of the people staying in the room above you.
It's always fun and memorable staycation here. We love their swimming pools, very relaxing. Lobby and room smell so nice. Perfect location also. Restaurants, malls, groceries and coffee shops are just walking distance.
My friend says that the pool and beach were fantastic, and the room was comfortable and relaxing. One of the highlights was the peaceful atmosphere - the hotel provided a good buffer from external noise, making it an ideal spot to unwind. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a serene and enjoyable getaway.
This hotel in the industrial area cannot take taxis or grabs.
The Japanese restaurant next to it is delicious.
The room is big and the breakfast is simple. The attitude of the service staff is very good.
Huge and clean swimming pool, making it a great place for family with kids.
The rooms are clean though some of the bedsheets and comforter cover are already showing ‘signs of ageing’ and some has stains.
Had a little hiccup during breakfast as apparently our room number was used by some other people or it could just be a simple misunderstanding, I don’t know what happened, no explanation. It was immediately resolved though I felt a little worried. They must have some process to verify both the room number and names to avoid incorrect room charges.
Another not so good but tolerable experience is being at the 7th floor, just below the Fields restaurant, we can hear the floor noises from the 8th floor which is a little bit annoying.
We loved the breakfast and ambiance at Atrium and the dinner buffet at the Fields (French Cuisine).
Overall, we had a great experience and we consider this as our go to hotel for quick getaway / swimming with kids.
The facilities and amenities at the hotel were great. The hotel itself was clean and looked brand new, which was definitely a plus. The staff who assisted us to our room and the team at Kuna Cafe, where we had breakfast, were both friendly and helpful, making those experiences enjoyable.
However, the reception staff left much to be desired. Despite being the only guests in the lobby during our check in time, we were left waiting for an extended period, and the hospitality skills seemed lacking. Our frustration grew later in the evening when we called reception to inquire about reheating some food. We wanted to know if there was a microwave available and whether we could use it, but no one followed up with an answer. This delay left us having to go out at 10pm to buy food for our hungry child, which was very disappointing. It’s clear that the reception could greatly improve their customer service and communication skills.
Overall, while the hotel itself was pleasant, the reception and customer service experience needs significant improvement to match the quality of the facilities.

Canyon woods is one of the most underrated hotels in Tagaytay. Imagine, you can get a clean room, Camp John Hay vibes for only P2500 with free breakfast and access to warm indoor pool and jacuzzi! Definitely an enjoyable experience! Will come back again.
This hotel is so cozy and we loved our overnight stay in a weekday. Our room was so spacious but it doesn’t have a cabinet. The bathroom was huge with a bathtub. It has the complete toiletries that we need although the mirror was a bit dirty with watermarks. The food was superb at their restaurant. We loved the pool. The staff were helpful. Perfect place to relax.
The environment is very good, the service is very good, if the price is a little cheaper, I am willing to stay longer.

JJeriVI initially booked a room for two with a lake view but later added a third person, necessitating an extra bed. The hotel clearly explained the additional fee of 1,500 pesos, which covered accommodation and breakfast for the third guest. The check-in process was smooth and convenient, and there was ample free parking available. The early morning view of Taal Lake was absolutely stunning, and the breakfast was sumptuous. I highly recommend this hotel for family travelers.
GGboy MunsayacOverall experience was great and meaningful. First, the staff were all accommodating. From the reception down to the room service attendants, everyone always greeted you with a smile and you can feel the positive disposition. The room was kept very orderly and my special request was granted. They did come up with a nicely done birthday themed decoration for my partner and kid. The complimentary cupcake with greeting was a really nice gesture. This hotel had a huge area that featured facilities to cater to different interests. I like the thought of visiting and feeding the animals at the Farm and the outdoor playground provided a good spot for my little daughter to run around and explore nature. There was an indoor playground too, which was very useful because it also rained the next day and we couldn't afford to expose my kid to the weather. There were 2 pool areas, and I like the thought of the kiddie pools with heaters, since the cold breeze was giving us the shivers. My little one was able to enjoy the dip in the water (also props to the staff who helped inflate the pool toy :)) The buffet breakfast didn't have that many selections, however, the quality of the food was superb. I like their Filipino breakfast lineup of chicken adobo, tocino, danggit and fried rice. The salad bar was also pretty decent with their selections of garnish and dressing.
In other words, I wouldn't mind a second visit. Highly recommended!
WWaterAwesome , rooms are immaculately clean and still like almost like new. A blisful stay with complete amenities. No deposit requireds so u have more cash to spend on the hotel menu. Breakfast buffet is the highlight of the stay. Going home with lots of smile and kudos to the team.
TTeam BanezJust checked out from a stay at the One Ta***tay Place Hotel. This place had its contrasts, so it's difficult to give a simple good or bad verdict.
Firstly, let's commend the staff. Their service was top-notch – always available, ready to help, and maintaining a positive attitude at all times. We had inquiries and requests that were accommodated promptly and efficiently. They are genuinely an asset to this establishment.
On the other side of the spectrum were the amenities and the room. It seems that the hotel could benefit from some much-needed refurbishments. Signs of wear were noticeable in the room furnishings and certain areas in the hotel. They weren’t a deal-breaker, but they did detract from the overall impression.
Another plus side of One Ta***tay Place: its location. It's perfectly nestled close to the most scenic vistas Ta***tay offers. Its proximity to major attractions is a bonus and is something that future guests would definitely appreciate.
In conclusion, One Ta***tay Place might not be a picture-perfect stay but it offers a decent, service-oriented experience, and uses its location to great advantage. A few upgrades could definitely elevate the guest experience.
Would I come back? Yes, though I do hope to see some improvements next time around. For the price, service, and location, it's still a considerably good deal.

CChrish_OGThe room we booked was very spacious, and has a very nice view. However, the AC stopped working in the middle of the night, and when housekeeping checked went to check, it turned on but the noise was too loud and no cold air coming out. So we were transferred to a another room which had no view, smaller tv with a very sqeaky/noisy mattress. Every move we made, it made a noise, it was not what we have expected to experience from a 4star hotel. It was disappointing and the whole fiasco had disrupted our sleep so bad that we left the hotel even more tired. Not sure if i want to go back here anymore.
