The air condition size is too small for the area of the room. It is quite hot especially during day time. There is no coffee, tea or electric kettle provided. There is no elevator. Quite disappointed.
Breakfast is still Western food, it is a little far from Trat bus station. If you want to take a bus from Trat back to Bangkok, this shop is not recommended, because the waiter only speaks Thai, there is a simple English at the front desk, I am gesture + Tickets + English words communicated repeatedly, only to catch the bus that returned to Bangkok the next morning in time (the waiter asked a master to take me to the temporary stop of the mini bus).
It's a long way from the port of Trat. The tricycle took about an hour and cost us 600 baht.
If it is good, the service attitude is still good, that is, the language is not available, there is a large swimming pool, the room is a single villa, but the location is too biased, twenty minutes from the center of Trat, and it is close to the airport.
Nice hotel and good location is middle the ways go around in the day and in the night beach very quiet and good for swim and snorkeling water very clean 💕
If you have arrived in Bangkok and are not able to take a ferry, I recommend you to go to this hotel at once. Have a night, breakfast at 7:30 in the morning, all will bring you straight to the room and take you to the ferry, transfer from the hotel is, go 5 minutes. Views beautiful 💕
In the afternoon, I arrived in Bangkok and took a five-hour car ride to the Koh Chang Pier. I only had to find a place to rest and go to the island the next day. The other one was booked first, but it felt unsafe and cancelled the hotel. The environment is very good in all aspects. The main owner, Bill, is a nice guy. Breakfast is delicious in the morning. recommend
I really liked the hotel, we lived in a house near the sea, it was clean, cozy, the staff was attentive, when they saw that you didn’t understand, they turned on the translator on their phone 😂😂😂 in the restaurant you can use toasts, tea, coffee, buns, croissants and other things for free all day, thanks to the hotel🙏
All liked it! But I will write a little about what could have been done better, so that the hotel knows where it can grow.
1. It was a little difficult to communicate with the staff and communicate with them by mail (when I wrote with a request to reserve separate beds for us in advance, they told me - hello! If such a room is free, it means it will be, if it is busy, it means it will be busy.)
2. Sunbeds. There are fewer sunbeds than hotel guests, and therefore when we arrived at one o’clock in the afternoon, all the sunbeds were occupied by someone: people simply threw their towels at breakfast and went somewhere for the day. That is, the sunbeds were all occupied, but they were not used. Perhaps if we added 4 more sunbeds it would be better.
Otherwise, the hotel and location are so good that I would return there again. The rooms are perfect, the breakfast is good, everything is incredibly beautiful and well maintained.

Stayed in the budget rooms, which are about a five minute walk from the main resort and on the opposite side of the road. Room was very spacious and well designed with lots of places to put stuff and plugs near the bed. Bathroom was also really nice and featured a large independent shower, with lots of shelf space to put stuff. The breakfast is very nice and the resort is located in front of a beautiful sandy beach. Overall a very pleasant stay. One negative is that the Wi-Fi was not working so we ended up using up all of our mobile data during our one week stay.
When you stay at Charome Resort in Khlong Yai, you'll be 12 minutes by car from Pailin Beach. This hotel is 10.3 mi (16.5 km) from Ban Chuen Beach and 10.3 mi (16.6 km) from Banchuen Beach.

GGuest UserA relatively remote hotel. The facilities and environment are clean and comfortable. The restaurant opening hours are too short. From 8 am to 6 pm, it is inconvenient that there is no restaurant nearby.
VVenti.JWe stayed at Bunyagard for a week in February. There are 8 cozy bungalows (2 rows of 4), each with a charming feel.
Free water, tea, and coffee available around the clock.
Simple but delicious breakfast buffet.
The rooms are small, but we knew that in advance. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious!
Walls are thin, which wasn’t a big of a deal. There’s been only one night with a fighting couple (hope they sorted it out by now). All other nights were peaceful.
The backyard landscaping is beautiful and really well maintained — a little green paradise!
There’s a shortcut through another resort to the beach — just ignore the “No Trespassing” signs and be respectful by picking up after yourself (the staff told us that as long as visitors keep the beach clean, the resorts don’t mind).
Super friendly staff who helped us with heavy luggage and arranging ferry taxis.
To dry our clothes we hang a line outside of our room and it wasn’t until checkout that we noticed the staff adjusted our amateur knots with some really professional knots. THANK YOU Bunyagard (next time you need to teach us)!
One lady is fluent in English. And with google translator we’ve been able to communicate with all the staff. Where there’s a will, there’s a way ;)
5/5 🤍 We’re definitely looking forward staying at Bunyagard again!
GGuest UserStayed for 4 days. The room was very clean. I really liked its courtyard and the platform in front of the room. It was very relaxing to sit and do nothing to watch the sea and feel the sea breeze. The room was well maintained and the facilities felt very new. The hotel is located at a higher position, and the view of the sea and the sunset is beautiful. The hotel faces the sea and walks 100 meters to the left across the pier to the beach. The sand is very clean and the sea water is clear. It is quite convenient to go to the beach. Breakfast is ordered, juice, fruit sandwiches... It is really delicious. Sometimes we also have dinner in the restaurant. The taste is very good 👍 The service is professional and thoughtful. By the way, there are several cats in the hotel. They are very friendly. They will rub you casually and accompany you to watch the sunset... In short, I like the sand tower very much and it is a very satisfactory stay.
DDavid PatrickBungalows were lovely right on lonely beach. Restaurant had good food and drinks and had an excellent atmosphere- whether to chill during the day , watch sunset or have dinner in the evening. Staff super friendly and attentive. Helped me rent motorbike and get transport to airport. Bungalows were clean, nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. Village was ten mins walk which was fine but at night time felt a little dangerous to walk on dark roads. Worth it to have the sandy beach location. Overall I would very much recommend staying here. I’d come back.
GGuest UserIt probably was a great place to stay years ago, but not anymore! Avoid! Staff are renting there own motorbikes to try and make an extra buck, normally I’m up for this but they tried to give me some broken bike and smiled as if it was ok. There was a mistake with my booking so I couldn’t get the room I paid for so I had to pay for an upgraded room which I happily did. Trip.com offered to refund me so all I needed from the hotel was a receipt to show Trip.com but because the receptionist didn’t put me through the system and just pocketed the extra money that I had to pay in cash, she couldn’t give me a receipt, now I’m caught up in this scam they have going. I obviously was not able to leave a tip after all this weirdness, I have never in all 50 years of staying in hotels been asked to pay for the hotels mistake. Usually upgrades are free as an apology for not providing what was originally advertised and paid for.
MMerlinThe accommodation is very simple and in places very run down, the cleanliness is acceptable. Despite this, I was able to sleep here without any problems and for the price you can't really get upset about unnecessary little things. Accordingly, I would recommend it to people who are not looking for extraordinary luxury, but are simply looking for cheap, passable accommodation.
JJSMCThe highlight staying at Baan Suan is definitely the passionate hospitality of host Lily, would is happy to go above and beyond to help make your Koh Kood stay fun and memorable.
I stayed at the standard room, which looked a bit different to the photos, generally clean but beware of flying ants at night when you have your lights on, and also for small geckos and the likes (toilet and shower is also outside of room, which is something not mentioned at booking, for people who are wary of mosquitos and other insects going to the bathroom at night might want to consider an upgrade in room).
Location is on the main road 10 easy mins walk to Bang Bao beach. Otherwise there's restaurants and cafés within 15mins walk either direction of road.
All in all, recommended to stay here if you'd like a homefeel to the chilled vibes of Koh Kood!
BBentleyA hidden gem at the end of klong Kloi beach. Rooms were spacious, and while there is no pool, the resort is right on the beach and the sea is warm and calm. While we stayed the restaurant was not open, so all guests went to the next resort for breakfast. The staff informed us that the restaurant will reopen next year. They have a masseuse right on the beach who are well worth a visit! The only thing to consider is the distance from the main road, we were pretty mobile and happily took tuk tuk taxis to other parts of the island, but those with kids and/or a lot of luggage might find the location a bit remote. There is a place to rent motorbikes nearby (at a reasonable price) but personally, as this area of the island is very hilly, we chose to not rent and just used taxis instead.
JJuliaVery clean, freshly renovated rooms (building K). Each room has a hot pot kettle. But mattresses are quite hard. Fresh water, shampoo, toilet paper and trash bags daily.
Good breakfast buffet. Always different kinds of one of each: soup, fried rice, noodles, vegetable and chicken dish. Three types of fruit and salad bar. However, there is only one person preparing eggs and pancakes, which results in a long queue. And only instant coffee.
Location is nice, but the hotel doesn’t practically have its own beach (as well as pool, sun beds and beach towels). During the low tide, it’s impossible to swim due to bushes of seaweed. The beach is nice for morning swims and evening walks. Also elephants are brought there for a swim multiple times a day.
