The location suited me and the accommodation was tidy and clean. All the staff are friendly and helpful as well. The only negative thing to say is that some of the staff have the memory of a goldfish - they ask you if you want your room cleaned but do nothing about it.
This hotel is really just for sleeping; there are no other amenities or activities whatsoever. The hallways leading to the rooms felt a bit eerie, dark, and weren't very clean. However, once inside the room, both the bedroom and the bed itself were clean. The bathroom was dated but perfectly acceptable for the price.
The service was good, and the accommodation was understandable, with a mountain view. However, I was a little afraid of worms, not sure where they came from. However, it was unavoidable as it was in a mountain tourist area. Overall, it was good and worth the price.

I stayed at the hotel for a long time and had a really pleasant experience. The location is beautiful—close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some rest. The room was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated how calm the atmosphere was, even during busy days.
What stood out the most was the staff—they were always friendly, helpful, and made me feel at home. They went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. The service was consistent and warm throughout my stay. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Decent hotel for the price, we didn’t realise this was a budget b2 so it was not as nice as some previous b2’s we’ve stayed in. One room had a desk and another had no desk but cost more per night.
Overall not bad though, probably wouldn’t recommend unless you are looking for a cheap hotel and don’t have high standards. “Has windows” really means a tiny window that lets hardly any light in.
Fairly clean hotel that's in a great location. Just 3min motorbike ride to Nimman and right next to a great gym called Muscular Lair. Very affordable so no complaints that service is a little poor.
It was a nice stay at the hotel. The room was renovate with a bit of fragment here and there but overall was good. The bed was very soft and comfortable. Water was good and worked well. The bathroom floor was not at all slippery even wet. This is good for elderly. My suggestion for the hotel is to look more about mosquitoes and ant. I found a couple of mosquitoes and an ant on the bed. With that in mind for hotel maid, overall stay was pleasant one and will be back again. Oh Did I mention that the reception was nice and helpful. There is also a live cat lying around to welcome visitors at all time.

HHuijuanThe location is incredibly convenient, right next to Tha Phae Gate. (Just a heads-up: don't waste your money on the pigeon photos taken by locals; they're truly hideous!) Even with our late-night flight, the front desk staff specially waited for us. The doorknob in the triple room was a bit loose and would occasionally fall off, but it was easily put back. The beds were very comfortable, and the natural light was excellent. The only minor issue was the lack of an elevator, which made carrying luggage upstairs quite a struggle and almost brought tears to our eyes!
JJessie.lymingA place far far away from town and also Mon Jam. I was planning to stay 1 night in Mon Jam actually, however I didn’t noticed the homestay is another mountain from Mon Jam (called Pong Yaeng) which was Trip.com suggested to me when I search for hotels of Mon Jam.
I booked it for family trip, we called the Grab to send us to there so that we can check in and drop the bags first. I must to say, the way to get to the homestay was quite thrilling cause the last section of the way were rugged mountain road, luckily the driver was expertly to send us there safely.
After we settled down and want to go out to Mon Jam for sightseeing, there were no car to pick us up through Grab cause we were too far away from town. Although the host had help us to ask for the ride, there was no reply too. Even if yes, it cost around 400-500 THB which was very expensive tho. So we were stuck in the homestay to having the peace and silence. Luckily we can still order food from the host when we feeling hungry, having the meal with the mountain view and BBQ+hotpot for dinner were also some good experiences here.
Actually the place was quite good and the host was very nice, I’m sure there would be a good place to stay if you are not concerned about the location and looking for some peaceful stay. But I would strongly recommend you to rent a car, motorbike or even a driver, just in case you want to go somewhere else for sightseeing. Or you can go to play or sightseeing before going to the homestay, it’s all up to you😉

LLogan SolamanI recently stayed at October Hostel located in the vibrant Nimman area of Chiang Mai, and I must say, my experience was exceptional!
Location: The hostel's location is perfect for anyone looking to explore Chiang Mai. Nestled in the bustling Nimman neighborhood, it offers easy access to the city center and is just a short drive from the airport, making it incredibly convenient for travelers.
Host and Service: Mark, the hostel owner, was incredibly hospitable. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel welcome and was eager to share his knowledge of the city. His insights and tips on where to go and what to do in Chiang Mai greatly enhanced my experience.
Accommodations: The rooms at October Hostel are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. While I stayed in a standard room this time, I was tempted by the option to upgrade to a much larger room. Given the quality of my stay, I am definitely considering this upgrade on my next visit!
Overall Experience: I highly recommend October Hostel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. Whether you’re a solo traveler or coming with friends, the combination of a great location, warm hospitality, and excellent facilities make this hostel a top choice.
Tip for Future Guests: Don’t hesitate to ask Mark for local recommendations – he truly knows the best spots in town!
Looking forward to my next stay at October Hostel, and I can’t wait to try out the larger room!
WWang Ke Yaolocation is superb, service is good, been taken care seen the time you arrive. you do not need to talk to the main street, which the hotel can help you order the transport thb 20/person/way. breakfast is good and simple. only weakness is when you stay will elderly with less convinience walking, because you need to walk down a staircase for bathroom and toilet.
GGuest UserLoved my stay! Clean rooms, comfy bed, and friendly staff. Perfect location with great amenities. Breakfast was delicious. Only minor downside: [mention any issue, e.g., slow Wi-Fi]. Would definitely stay again!
