I stayed at this hotel after mid-April. Overall, the room and service were decent. However, the air conditioning was a big disappointment. The hotel uses a centralized system, which means you can’t control the temperature yourself. Unfortunately, it was set at around 27–28°C — way too hot! It was really uncomfortable and I couldn’t sleep properly.
In the end, I had to open the window just to get some cool air. I noticed that many other rooms had their windows open too — looks like I wasn’t the only one struggling! Honestly, the aircon was pretty much useless. You’re better off turning it off completely and just enjoying the fresh air from outside.
Friendly staff. Helpful amenities that made the stay comfortable. Approx 15 minutes walk to Nara Station and Nara Park. Provided one keycard for the room. Room was a lot more spacious than most other hotels of the price. They have a dining/seating area in the lobby, as well as a dry foot spa and a manga corner. Would stay here again.
Actually i had no plan to stay at this AB hotel for 3 nights. Due to super low prices on weekday, i extended my stay for 1 more day to have more rest & relax to hike at this mountain for total 5 hrs duration.
Fantastic hotel for anyone who drive. Free Car park with lots of spaces. The facility is very clean, spacious room, both indoor and outdoor hot spring. Really there is nothing to complain in this hotel. It is located in a fairly decent neighborhoods and able to provide this standard of hot spring is phenomenal. One of the best stay we had in this journey. Highly Recommended.
It is not far from Nara JR Station and Kintetsu Station, but Kintetsu Station is relatively closer. I checked in during my birthday. I informed the hotel in advance and received a handwritten card and a bag of konpeito when I checked in. There is no need to clean up and there are free cans of sparkling wine or barley tea. I added a Japanese dinner, and when I was almost done with the meal, the restaurant staff also brought free small cakes with candles and fruit platters, which was very touching.
The rooms are all sliding doors, with a tatami area, which is very large and clean. There are free white pajamas to change every day. The bathroom and toilet are separated into wet and dry areas, and there are two hair dryers.
There is free coffee and matcha milk on the first floor. You can mix your own sparkling wine before 21 o'clock in the evening, and the souvenir shop is also open before 22 o'clock to buy some specialties.
There is a free 1-hour walking tour of Nara street buildings at 7 o'clock on weekends. Just inform the hotel in advance to make an appointment.
There is a non-hot spring hot spring bath on the basement floor, but I didn't experience it due to the itinerary.
The breakfast is a buffet of Japanese scenic spots. The egg rolls are delicious, and the fruit is as good as cantaloupe.
A very pleasant stay experience
Except for the location being a little far away, there is nothing wrong with it. There are massage chairs and massage sticks, a massage bathtub, and a TV where you can watch movies and adult films. For such a large space, the price is very cost-effective.
I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights.
The room was clean, spacious, and relaxing.
The bed was comfortable and I slept well.
The bathroom only had a shower,
so I wish there was a bath for consecutive nights.
The staff were friendly and available 24 hours a day.
There was plenty of free parking space.
The shared lobby-like space was spacious and
coffee, tea (teabags), a toaster, and a microwave were all free of charge.
I'd like to stay here again if I come to Nara.
Great location, close to JR and bus stations. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby and walkable distance to Nara park. Great, clean, and affordable place. The breakfast was quite nice.
It is located quite far away, it is difficult to combine it with a trip to any attractions. In winter, buses go to the village only a few times a day, and the village itself looks deserted. But the hotel itself is great. Wooden building, but everything is in very good condition. 2 onsen, one with a view of a beautiful small garden. On the 2nd floor there is a chill zone with cool acoustics. Despite the minus outside, it was warm. Well, the full set: traditional rooms with tatami and futons, traditional clothing, cool dinner / breakfast. There are places to walk in the area, so it might be a good idea to stay here for a couple of nights, but probably not in winter.
Friendly service, clean and tidy, the streets are full of Japanese style. A very satisfying accommodation experience.

GGuest UserFirst of all, the service staff is warm and thoughtful, and the attitude is amiable! Tell the precautions, the hotel is clean and hygienic, and the quilt is covered by yourself. The bathroom in the bath is particularly clean. Every guest is very conscious. Try to control yourself and not disturb others. It is really great!
Wwee teeBooked this hotel through Trip which was a godsend. The hotel that I booked through ******* was screwed up big time by ******* because the hotel didn't receive the reservation apparently. ******* was not helpful with the relocation (even thought there were availability at other hotels), claiming the hotel class are different from the one I booked. Anyways this hotel is convenient and clean, only thing that I disliked was the site mentioned double bed BUT only can accommodate 1 person!? Ended we have to pay additional ¥3k for the 3rd person (my youngest daughter) for 2 rooms. 1 room for myself and the other for both daughters because the manager was adamant about the 1 room per person, however after paying the additional ¥3k he was ok with 2 persons in a room. Didn't make sense unless I was explained it is some government regulations to allow only 1 double bed room for 1 person
GGuest UserThis hotel is exactly something what we expected to experience with a Japanese style room and hot spring. We chose Japanese style room which was spacious enough for 3 guests. Hotel fee already included Japanese dinner served inside room and breakfast (Japanese or American) served in their restaurant. Hot spring is available from 4pm-11pm, however, no morning session is available which a bit disappointed us. Hot spring area is not big, it is more enjoyable when there are only 2-3 guest in the pool.
Hotel location is good, only about 6 mins walk from Kintetsu Nara station. The only bad thing was NO elevator or escalator from the station up to ground floor exit. All other main tourist attractions are within walkable distance.

SShin-Woei FannThe location of this hotel is pretty well, the Kintetsu Nara station is just across the street and the main station of the Nara buses is just in front of the door.
I would not suggest foreign people to go to the East shopping street nearby for food since there are many restaurant closed and hard to get good meals.
As the biggest chain hotel, this Tokoyo inn also has the convenient check in and out protocols and has staff can speak fluent English.
The only obvious problem is the noise can always come in through the closed window. I lived in 4th floor but could still hear clearly when people down in the back street talking during the late night,
GGuest UserGreat little hotel. Very close to the deer park. Very modern, clean, functional and elegant. Rooms are considerably bigger than most Japanese hotels. It’s located up a little hill, so it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist strip. Highly recommend.

SStinky BusSmile Hotel Nara is a great base for exploring Nara! It is very close to the JR Nara station (It only took a few minutes to walk to the hotel from the station). From the station, you can take a cheap bus to go look at many of the famous views and sights (and deer) in and around Nara Park (photos attached)! The hotel was older but still very clean, had free luggage storage for guests, and was very warm on a cold winter night! Also, you can drink the sink water from this hotel bathroom!
GGuest UserHotel is at Kintetsu Nara station. Easily accessible when taking train. Nice quaint area to walk. Room has humidifier, kettle and cups, hairdryer, mini fridge and a tv. Breakfast comes with delicious thick toast set and coffee. Laundromat is at the cosy lobby area. I stayed for 2 nights. Many good eateries around the area and shopping malls. Tourist attractions are walking distance only. Highly recommend this hotel 👍🏻
TTashCThe hotel is next to the Nara station, it’s very good location. The staff are kind and nice, we asked about the route and restaurant recommendations, they are so helpful. The onsen in the hotel is good. Pyjamas and necessities are provided. Free alcohol drinks are also provided. All the check-in or entering room are in automatic mode. Good security for woman onsen zone with specific password to enter. I wish I could stay here again if I come back to Nara again.
