"One of the best hotels I have been to, probably the best in China! I was planning to stay one night, but fell in love with the hotel and extended one more night!!! I was totally impressed, it was better than expected!
Everyone in the reception was very friendly and attentive to all my needs. They also upgraded my room for free (unexpected surprise)!!
The view was breathtaking, and it looked like a landscape painting. The overall environment was warm and quiet. The location was great, transportation was convenient, with hotel buggy helping with transfer from one building to another, and the room was super clean, good for fussy people like me.
The housekeepers, Xiaoying and Xiaogu, were very thoughtful and helped me solve many problems. There is a wechat group where there's a group of people working in the hotel to help solve problems, and the response is immediate! Also, the photographer, Cai Cai, took beautiful photos with great photography skills!! I also loved the dress I rented from the shop. ❤️

"This is a great hotel, and if I ever return to Yangshuo, this will be the place I will stay. Very clean, great location which is close to the downtown area, but not so close it's annoying. The service and attitude of the staff are excellent; they are all friendly and helpful. The pool area is absolutely beautiful.
The included breakfast is ok, but there are times when there aren't enough seats for all of the guests. I wouldn't say the food is bad, but you won't take pictures of it to post online. Let's put it that way. The pool is only open from 16:00 to 21:00 in July and August. The gym is very basic and it's in the lobby, so not a lot of privacy to do any form of exercise. I didn't see anyone use it.
Overall, it's an excellent hotel. Just leaving some friendly feedback to help them improve, but I'd definitely recommend this hotel!"

"I had a really lovely stay at LiYu Hotel. It’s a simple, affordable place but surprisingly clean and comfortable for the price. What really stood out was how helpful and kind the young guy at the reception was—he really went out of his way to help with everything I needed.
The location is super convenient, just a short walk to West Street and all the action, but the hotel itself is in a quiet enough spot to rest peacefully at night.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend it for budget travelers or anyone looking for a good value stay in Yangshuo without compromising on cleanliness or hospitality.

Location of hotel quite close to 西街. most of Yangshuo's tourist spots are around 4mins away by car. Room is clean, tv has many nice channels, toilet was clean and well equipped. Just that bathing area is only one glass panel away from bed.
Roof top bar offers afternoon tea with nice drinks, fruits, desserts."

"We absolutely loved this hotel! The location was great, the staff were friendly and could speak English, and the food at the hotel was amazing. This was one of our best experiences in China. I would recommend this place to anyone. The villa/farmhouse we stayed in is perfect for big groups. The villa/farmhouse has 5 big bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with a shower and western toilet. The food at the hotel was brilliant! The courtyard in front was lovely in the mornings for breakfast, and the restaurant on the roof was amazing in the evening, looking over the mountains. We loved it, will definitely be back there soon! Thank you for an amazing stay and friendly hospitality."

"The location is absolutely superb, right within the scenic area. The scenery is picturesque, with stunning views from every window. Our family was so content that we didn't even want to leave the hotel, as we could soak in all the beautiful outdoor scenery right from our room.
The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting with our luggage upon arrival and departure. Their thoughtfulness really stood out. A huge shout-out to everyone – from the welcoming staff to the front desk, and even the lovely lady serving breakfast; their service was truly exceptional, a refreshing change from what you sometimes find at smaller guesthouses.
The hotel is surrounded by tourist attractions, with the bamboo raft pier just a stone's throw away. It was a pity we couldn't get tickets; otherwise, we would have happily extended our stay for another day. The bridge right in front of the hotel also offers breathtaking views and is incredibly photogenic.
The staff at the bike rental shop opposite the hotel's parking area were also very pleasant. However, cycling back at night, a stretch of the road felt quite scary as it was extremely dark.
And finally, the breakfast noodles were wonderfully fresh and flavorful. They tasted delicious both with and without chili – a definite must-try!"

"We had a wonderful family stay at Giggling Tree Yangzhou! The pool was fantastic, and perfect for both kids and adults to relax and have fun. The food was delicious with a great variety that everyone in our family enjoyed. What made our experience even better was the friendly and attentive staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. It might have been the off-peak season, but the price was unbelievably good. I even used my Ctrip points to get an additional 200+ RMB discount, bringing the cost down to just over 310 RMB per night, including breakfast for two! They have a swimming pool, and the staff, especially the younger team members, were incredibly enthusiastic. I honestly felt their service awareness surpassed that of many current five-star hotels. I posted about it on my WeChat Moments, and all my friends said it was an absolute steal! Check out the pictures for yourselves.
**Facilities:** The hardware rivals many 4-star hotels.
**Cleanliness:** The cleaning team did an excellent job; it was impeccably clean.

GGuest UserThe hotel is simply amazing. The rooms are beautiful with the smallest details well thought out for your convenience. The lobby, restaurant, and outside area are also beautiful and decorated with taste. The view is magnificent. It's so tranquil at this resort. It's a small hotel so there are not a lot of people, which is why I think the hotel staff is able to pay attention to every single detail. The service is even better. There was one person who spoke English and she was very helpful. We were able to communicate with everyone else through WeChat group. They have both local and Western breakfast options, which are made for you within 5 minutes of ordering, so it's fresh. The midnight snacks are delicious. But the staff goes even further. I thought it was very cute for them to notice little things. For example, first day we left out chili peppers from our lunch, so the next day, they excluded them from the meal without asking or leaving a cleaning cloth next to my reading glasses. The staff really pays attention and makes your stay even better. This is more than a 5 star hotel.

I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy.
Room Details
We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep.
Facilities and Services
The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it.
Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew.
Location and Accessibility
The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo.
Customer Service
The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay.
Overall Experience
The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo.
However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness.
In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

EErikucciaAmazing hotel with a heartbreaking view. The location is super good, in the countryside but close to a few restaurants, shops, electrical bike rent, and some scenic spots but also at 10/15 min driving from yangshuo city. The room was huge, as was the bathroom as well, the bed was super comfortable and the bathtub with the view as the balcony was priceless. The staff is really nice and they speak English so the communication was easy. Breakfast with traditional guilin noodles was also super good, highly recommended

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts stylish decor and spotlessly clean rooms. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our trip comfortable and convenient. A special highlight was the rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking panoramic views of West Street. We were also pleasantly surprised when the bar staff offered us complimentary drinks. Highly recommended!
