"The owner was very nice, helping with luggage, checking in on any needs, and keeping the room very clean. This B&B has a classic charm and is very stylishly decorated. You can enjoy tea and coffee on the first floor. We stayed on the third floor, and the room opened onto a small garden. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the children could play in the garden. There's even a tree over 1,000 years old right outside the B&B. Shuyuanmen Pedestrian Street is right outside, making it very convenient for shopping and dining."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is excellent—just right outside Zhonglou Metro Station, making it super convenient to get around Xi’an. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax. The service was great, with friendly and attentive staff. They also offer a complimentary breakfast, which was a nice bonus. One of the highlights is the view of the Bell Tower, which you can see immediately after stepping out of the hotel. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Xi’an!"

"Love the location of this hotel. Just one step away is the SkyTrain station It makes easy access to other attractions . Walk across is the Bell tower and shopping mall. Some rooms can even see the Bell Tower from the window. I have requested a room with a view of the Tower, but they upgraded me to a room with a balcony. Which is a bit disappointed but still ok I have a balcony. The hotel is beautiful and clean. At least I didn't smell the cigarettes. The receptionist is very helpful, a lady from the travel agency is always there to answer the tourists about Xian attractions. The water bottle is free and they put it right by the elevator on each floor. The breakfast is ok and the restaurant is big. I highly recommend this hotel. I really like the location and all the declarations of the hotel. If I come back to Xian, I will definitely stay in this hotel again."

"Hotel is very beautiful and located in a quiet area of Xian but easy to get around in the old city. Metro station is very close so you don’t need to pay of taxi every time. Around the hotel there are a lot of small and very authentic restaurants so you don’t have necessarily to buy everything at the muslim (and hyper turistic) market. Prices are like the half of the I more turistic area but it’s genuine. The only bad thing is that the air conditioner didn’t work very well. It was noisy and didn’t refreshed enough. Overall a very good hotel for the prices. The hotel was very clean and there was also free laundry machine to be used on the ground floor! Life saver. I will come back here"

"The service at this hotel was truly exceptional. My young nephew even remarked that he hasn't experienced this level of service even at five-star hotels. Our family particularly loved the Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) for breakfast; we honestly thought they tasted better than many 'authentic' ones you find outside. We also enjoyed the drinks in the lobby and made it a point to grab one every time before heading out. We tried the late-night snacks once, and they were quite good. The airport pick-up service was fantastic too; the driver was very proactive and helped us with our luggage right away."

"The place was really clean and nice. It had a really nice air conditioning unit with very comfortable beds. It was very quiet at night with a great location inside the walls. The service was really friendly and the cleaning lady even helped us put our clothes in a bag after laundry when we were out. My only complaint is that the swing is really loud and a little boy would always swing at 9:00AM."

"Love the hotel location in Xian city. Easy access to Muslim street for all the halal food. Abt 10 mins walk. Other location like Xian Wall also within reach. One thing to take note if you are a light sleeper it may be a disadvantage to you as same building there a disco night club playing music. The sound bass vibration may reach you depending on the level of yr room. I don't want to say it affect all cos I didn't move to other rooms. The lady who help arrange attractions visit or taxi very helpful. Can use Alipay for payment and cash at some stall (plse ask)"

TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!)
The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all.
A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome.
I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone.
After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out.
I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Sofitel People’s Legend in Xi’an. Our room was spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable – the perfect place to relax after exploring the city’s rich history. Dining at Dolce Vita was a delight, with exquisite cuisine and a warm atmosphere.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the exceptional service we received. A heartfelt thank you to Ruizi, Themis, Fancy, and Tommy, who went above and beyond to make our Mother’s Day celebration so special. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel truly cherished.
If we could give more than five stars, this would be a solid 10. We will most certainly return!

Being so close to a subway station made getting to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda a breeze. Overall, the hotel offers fantastic value for money, and I highly recommend it. A lovely touch was the small bear plushie I received from the front desk, and complimentary mung bean soup was offered in the evenings. The screen mirroring feature in the room was also very convenient, and any requests were handled with impressive speed.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel facilities are very new, and the rooms are quite spacious. Its location near Datang Everbright City and Joy City is a definite plus. However, being right at the entrance of a major scenic area and on a one-way street makes getting around a bit inconvenient, especially in the evenings. This is something for other travelers to keep in mind.
Despite the bustling location, the hotel itself was quiet, and I had a good rest. The only real downside was the breakfast, which had a very limited selection.
What's more, for some reason, even the restaurant staff during breakfast were asking us for positive reviews. If this is for staff evaluation, the hotel should really consider guest privacy and approach guests at appropriate times without being intrusive. Plus, the breakfast staff generally don't have direct interactions with guests beyond serving food, so it felt quite abrupt and out of place.
On a positive note, both the front desk and housekeeping services were excellent.

GGuest UserThe location is incredibly convenient! Right outside Exit B of Longshouyuan Station on Metro Line 2, you'll find the hotel. This was a lifesaver for someone like me who easily gets lost! It's quick and easy to get to the Bell Tower, Muslim Quarter, and the high-speed train station.
The hotel definitely has a classic, 'old-money' charm. Initially, I thought the facilities might be a bit dated, but they are actually very well-maintained. Overall, the service was truly commendable. As soon as you approach the hotel, staff are there to help with your luggage, and the front desk handled things very smoothly. What truly impressed me was the exceptional daily housekeeping. Whether we were in the room or not, they would consistently come to replace disposable amenities and towels, and tidy up.
Another highlight for me was the heated swimming pool. We brought our child on this trip, and they went there every single day! Even though it was a bit chilly these past few days, the heated pool meant it didn't affect our enjoyment at all.
Overall, it's definitely worth recommending. It might not be the best fit for young people seeking the latest tech gadgets or a super modern feel, but it's very suitable for family trips or business travel.

Amazing service: staff were extremely helpful, and used translation apps when their English failed them, so language wasn’t an issue. We got waters, a fruit plate and bookmarks on check out, and the staff were helpful in our other enquiries. We were able to check in early, and they offered help with the Terra-cotta warriors also.
It didn’t show up on Apple Maps for us - however we entered the address from Trip and that led us and the taxi there! There is another “Grand Mercure” about a 30minute walk away, so worth noting that when you type Mercure into maps it goes to that. But the location is amazing- close to the main central junction with the Bell Tower, 5 minutes from the Muslim Quarter, and various takeaways/bakeries/convenience stores right underneath the hotel.
We definitely recommend!

SSimeon Sing WanThe facilities were good, staff were generally helpful and nice. Very clean environment; generally has what you need. Very conveniently located. Some of the staff at the front desk are a bit too immature and could act a bit more professional. Apparently, they find it funny for you ask them for water; ask them a few more times and they would giggle and laugh behind your back and make fun of you; they might even horse around with you if Mandarin is not your first language and you don't speak as natively as they do. I made an add on booking for an extra night. If you need them to do anything towards the end of your stay, they might withhold service at the front desk until you give them a perfect rating; they wouldn't check me back in the hotel until I left a good rating/comment for my first booking. They forgot I that I could also rate / comment for my second booking. Basically a bunch of kids. Otherwise, hotel management seems fine. Pretty clean, the staff were generally polite.

NN Anita MohamedThe location is simply perfect! The hotel is so close to Xi’an Drum Tower that we could even see it from our window. It’s less than 150 meters to the Muslim Quarter and Xi’an Grand Mosque, with endless halal food options all around – truly a heaven for Muslim travellers.
Our room was very spacious with a super comfy bed, and we were pleasantly surprised with a plate of welcome fruit. The hotel also provides delicious and nutritious drinks at the reception, a lovely afternoon tea set for two with plenty of snacks, and even a comforting bowl of porridge at night – such thoughtful touches!
The staff were friendly, helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable.
We would definitely come back to this hotel on our next trip to Xi’an.

GGuest UserFor this business trip, my stay at Jingyu Smart Hotel far exceeded expectations; it was comfortable and pleasant from check-in to check-out. The staff were incredibly warm and enthusiastic, offering flexible and genuinely thoughtful service. As a smart hotel, the intelligent features like AC and curtains were very convenient. The room featured comfortable bedding, a bathroom with separate wet and dry areas, a purified water dispenser, and a mini-fridge. There's also a self-service laundry room and free parking, which met all my travel needs. The room corners were dust-free, the bed linen was pristine white and fresh, and there was no water pooling in the bathroom. Conveniently located near the high-speed train station and bus stops, the hotel is well-soundproofed and quiet. The price is reasonable, offering significantly better value for money than other hotels in the same price range. Overall, a perfect experience! I'll definitely choose Jingyu again next time I'm in this city and will highly recommend it to my friends!
