Novotel Xi an The Bell Tower Hotel

Novotel Xi'an Bell Tower is located right in the city center, right next to the Bell Tower, making getting around super convenient! There's even a direct shuttle bus right outside the hotel. The room amenities were great and the environment was spotless! I stayed for three days during the National Day holiday: the hotel service was exceptionally attentive, and the breakfast was rich with great local specialties. It left a wonderful and lasting impression on my first trip to Xi'an!

The location is fantastic, just about 30 meters behind the Bell Tower's H exit, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The front desk staff were very welcoming and even shared some local dining recommendations. The room was cleaned daily and was both spotless and comfortable.

The only drawback is the limited variety of breakfast options. Although it's very close to the Muslim Quarter, there's no noise at night.

The location is excellent, right in a small pedestrian street next to the Bell Tower. You can see the Bell Tower just a few steps from the hotel. The subway station right in front of the hotel makes getting around very convenient. Across the street, there's Kaiyuan Mall, and from its fifth floor, you can get a great view of the Bell Tower. The only minor inconvenience is that it's not very easy to get a taxi due to being at the pedestrian street entrance, but it didn't really affect us much. The room was a bit small, which is understandable as rooms in other nearby hotels are also not very large. The service was excellent. I initially booked an inner-facing room by mistake. When I contacted the hotel, they helped me change rooms as soon as they saw availability, and even upgraded us to a 2-meter king-size bed room when they saw I was with a child. The room was very clean, and the floors were spotless. They even gave a gift to my child when we checked out, which was a thoughtful touch.

The hotel is in a prime location, right next to the Bell Tower, making it super convenient to walk or cycle to the Muslim Quarter food street, Daxuexi Alley, and Xiaoxuexi Alley. The hotel breakfast offers a mix of Western and Chinese dishes, including Xi'an specialties like Zèng Gāo (steamed rice cake), various noodles, and Rou Jia Mo (Chinese burger). Personally, I recommend the refreshing sour and spicy pickled vegetable noodles, the satisfying Rou Jia Mo, and the soft, sweet, and sticky Zèng Gāo.

This hotel offers great value for money. They have concierge service at the entrance, offer afternoon tea and a mini-bar. The facilities are comprehensive, and the rooms are smart-enabled. The service was excellent; they upgraded our room type and allowed an early check-in. The breakfast was quite rich, and the freshly made noodles were delicious. The location is superb, with a subway station right outside, making it convenient to go anywhere. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit!

Had a great stay here! The hotel is conveniently located right near Exit 6 of the Bell Tower Metro Station, and also very close to the Bell Tower itself, making it super easy to get around. Even though it's in a central area, it was surprisingly quiet at night, and the room had excellent soundproofing. All the facilities felt quite new, and I appreciated that the toilet and shower were separate. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Right next to the hotel's main entrance, on the right, there's a cultural street featuring local time-honored intangible cultural heritage delicacies, with shops like Tongshengxiang, Wuyi Restaurant, and Baiyunzhang – making it incredibly convenient to find good food. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic; they helped with my luggage, upgraded my room, and even gave me a parting gift when I checked out. After staying here for three consecutive nights, I moved to a hotel in the heart of Datang Everbright City for another two nights. However, that second hotel wasn't conveniently located near any metro stations. For tourists primarily interested in historical and cultural sites, I wouldn't recommend staying in Datang Everbright City. Even late at night, city bus tour vehicles are available at the Everbright City intersection to take you back near the Bell Tower. For first-time visitors, I highly recommend this hotel. However, I do not recommend buying the Terracotta Warriors direct bus ticket from Huatour Group at the hotel's intersection, as shown in my photo. I thought it would depart directly, but we ended up driving around within the city walls for an hour to fill a large bus before officially setting off. Plus, they first take everyone to smaller attractions where some people pay for purchases before heading to the Terracotta Warriors. I suggest taking the metro combined with a taxi for a more economical and time-saving round trip.

My overall experience staying at Novotel Xi'an Bell Tower was excellent. The room was spacious with a good layout, clean and hygienic. The bedding was comfortable, and the facilities were complete. Soundproofing was decent. I was quite satisfied with the service; the front desk staff were warm and efficient, and housekeeping responded promptly. They kindly upgraded my 1.8-meter bed to a 2.4-meter bed for free, and allowed for a late check-out due to my flight schedule, which was very thoughtful. The hotel's location is very close to the Bell Tower and the subway station, making it convenient for getting around.
