"I stayed in this hotel a couple of times. Have to admit is time to forget it on my Taichung visit list. As the hotel is a bit old and the shopping center downstairs is actually without much shops to shop around. The trigger point is the Ms Sung 宋小姐at the reservation department. When I asked about change of dates from summer higher season to lower Sept season without asking for a refund ,instead of hearing at least an apology for not able to change, she actually scolded me in the whole conversation. Very seldom kind of service that would happen in this competitive market. Not to mention I am a frequent visitor to this hotel before. So the alternative is to choose the newer hotel at a more convenient spot. Forget this one. Not recommended"

"Booked last minute, with the price I paid, this experience was phenomenal. We stayed in a Friday night, the room was spacious and our dogs really enjoyed. One thing that may require improvement is the pillow is too low other than that, we have nothing else to complain. We also enjoyed the free breakfast that came with the room we booked, I loved the fresh squeeze juice."

"The overall environment was comfortable, and my four-year-old had a blast in the kids' play area. The only downsides were that the air conditioning might not be cool enough when it's crowded, making it a bit stuffy. Also, the staff mentioned that disinfection would start at 2:00 PM, but they began clearing the area at 12:30 PM, which was a little disappointing."

"The rooms were generally clean and comfortable, but the toilet flush was weak, and it smelled strongly of septic gas overnight, with no deodorizing function. I'm unsure if the toilet was old or simply not properly cleaned. We ordered extra breakfast, including a section that advertised freshly fried omelets and poached eggs. However, these weren't freshly made; the chef was nowhere to be found. The beaten egg mixture was left uncovered, which was very unhygienic. I stood outside for ten minutes, but no chef appeared. Leaving the egg mixture uncovered and not chilled seemed to be the norm. We had to ask a staff member to find the chef, who finally arrived late. The chef would finish frying the eggs and then leave them uncovered again – truly unhygienic. Overall, while there were many breakfast options, none were particularly delicious or appealing."

"Overall, it's a great hotel. The facilities, staff, cleanliness, and convenience are all excellent. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I visit Taichung. I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. However, there were a couple of things I wasn't happy about: (1) The hotel has self-service laundry, but I only found out when I got to the laundry room that it's only open from 9 AM to 10 PM daily (who wants to spend their prime travel time doing laundry in the hotel?). And at 9 AM, you have to call someone to open the door, and there's no air conditioning in the waiting area... Wouldn't it be more normal to have the laundry room on a non-guest room floor? (2) If there are no personal items on the towels placed on the chairs, it's generally fine to remove them. But I had placed clothes on the towel, and the towel was still taken, which I found really puzzling."
