Find 2-Star Hotels in Taichung

Located in the middle of a night market, and right on a main street, it's a convenient location with easy access to taxis. The hotel is in a multi-purpose building, and the signs outside are mainly in Chinese, so it might be a little difficult to find. The building's appearance might be a bit surprising, but the rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean, with a separate toilet and shower. We stayed in a twin room, which was larger than expected. The beds were further apart than in a typical twin room, providing a sense of privacy even for two people (though, since I was staying with a close friend, the distance actually made us feel a little lonely, haha). There are no slippers provided, but you can purchase disposable slippers for 10 yuan at the front desk. There's a spacious common area behind the front desk with a refrigerator and a kitchenette. It gets plenty of sunlight, so it would be nice to bring in drinks to enjoy there.

This was my second time staying here in Taichung. It's clean, and communication is easy via LINE. However, there was a slight misunderstanding. I thought check-out was at 12:00 PM, but it's actually 11:00 AM, which almost resulted in me being charged extra. Bathroom was not that clean but the kitchen was really disgusting with bugs in the coffee in the morning, you have to pay for leaving your luggage In a locker before the checkin, no USB/ USB-c to charge your phone you need the ********* adapter, I had to buy it for one night since during my two weeks trip all the other hostels I’ve stayed at did have a USB-C one. The self check in did not work with my name but the staff did help me by changing something in the system.

This is an older business hotel, so the soundproofing isn't great, and there's a hallway right outside the window 😂. However, the service is professional, and it's very clean. For this price point, it's already excellent, and I'd be willing to stay here again.

Booked a single room for two nights and got upgraded to a double room, and the bed was super comfy. The room came with Up Mountain, Down River toiletries, and overall it was very clean. Even the mini-fridge in the room had no weird smells. It's really close to the Taichung Boulevard Yuanzi Street Intersection bus stop. I arrived around 8 PM and there was still staff available for check-in. At this price point, it's definitely worth it!

The room was quite small, and both beds were sagging. However, the room was very clean and smelled nice, and the soundproofing was decent.

The hotel boasts a beautiful environment, a fantastic location, and convenient transportation. Our room was comfortable and impeccably clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always eager to assist. The breakfast spread was extensive. Facilities were thoughtfully designed and user-friendly, with excellent high-speed internet. Overall, the service was attentive, and the rooms were in great condition.

The staff at North SEA Hotel were incredibly friendly and professional, but the hotel itself felt worn down. The bathrooms were especially outdated and sketchy, and overall the infrastructure needs renovation. For a place that’s quite expensive, especially on weekends, the quality doesn’t match the price. It’s also far from the train station and right by a main road, which can be noisy. Great service, but the facilities need major improvement.

!!TAKE NOTICE IF YOU WANT TO BOOK!! The address was !!! No. 23, Lane 101, Zhishan Rd, Xitun District, Taichung City, 407!!! I dunno why the boss still not updating as many people already complain the address but still It was good location from Feng Chia night market & there was no lobby staff for it just security staff. So any goes wrong or issues need to contact the boss. The room was average but need to improve the blanket as inside was messed up like a ball, so, need to change it. The bedroom was very very comfortable. The toilet is a bit old for the door & the soap handle already broken down. Overall, it was still ok & reasonable price for budget homestay. We will book again but need more improve the toilet
