DDan WuangExtremely near the Taichung train station where I alighted. Walked down the escalator and walk straight towards the side of the taxi and look out for blue logo of Loosha hostel on one of the buildings on the right and you can reach there by less than 3mins. Go to the reception at 5 floor on the inner lift, once you check in and got the access card, you can take the 2 lifts in front . Awesome buffet breakfast with coffee starts at 8am and simple bread and jams if you’re in a rush at 7am. Very clean kitchen and toilets as there are many staffs helping to clean and mainly the people staying there do their parts to make sure of a clean environment too. Proximity to 7-11 and lots of Indonesian food and other food stall and Gancheng station where the bus will take you to Sun Moon Lake. Awesome hostel with great eco friendly experience.

AAmy__travelLocated in the middle of a night market, and right on a main street, it's a convenient location with easy access to taxis. The hotel is in a multi-purpose building, and the signs outside are mainly in Chinese, so it might be a little difficult to find. The building's appearance might be a bit surprising, but the rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean, with a separate toilet and shower. We stayed in a twin room, which was larger than expected. The beds were further apart than in a typical twin room, providing a sense of privacy even for two people (though, since I was staying with a close friend, the distance actually made us feel a little lonely, haha). There are no slippers provided, but you can purchase disposable slippers for 10 yuan at the front desk. There's a spacious common area behind the front desk with a refrigerator and a kitchenette. It gets plenty of sunlight, so it would be nice to bring in drinks to enjoy there.

MMatejHI had an absolutely fantastic stay at Stray Birds Taichung Hostel! This is hands down one of the best hostels I've ever experienced. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the modern, clean, and stylish atmosphere . The location is perfect – it's within walking distance of the Park Lane by CMP shopping area, the Calligraphy Greenway, and the National Museum of Natural Science . There are tons of great restaurants, cafes, and even a 7-11 and Starbucks right across the street, which was super convenient . The hostel itself is spotlessly clean . The beds are incredibly comfortable and more spacious than your typical hostel bunk, with good privacy . The shared bathrooms and showers were always kept clean, and I loved that they had that separate dry/wet separation . A huge highlight is the common area and the rooftop terrace . The lounge is spacious, bright, and a great place to relax, work on a laptop, or meet other travelers . The rooftop offers a nice chill-out spot with a view of the city . The staff were friendly, helpful, and created a really welcoming vibe throughout the hostel . They even offer a simple breakfast of toast and jam in the morning, which is a nice touch . If you're looking for a clean, modern, and social hostel in a prime Taichung location, look no further. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to any traveler!

GGuest UserA bit far from mrt. It's a very hip hotel. Love the open area at highest floor. Love that every floor has water dispenser. Love that the room is spacious. But shower area damn weird. Is glass panel with black curtains. Arrived ard midnight cos flight delay, bus delay. Receptionist kept engaging with me to know my whereabouts so that they can pass the room card to me personally. But since I was arriving after their working hours, they left it in a convenient place for me to receive. Very thoughtful. Very thankful for free instant noodles cos I was so hungry. But... it's far from mrt so be prepared to walk a distance.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is close to Yizhong Street Night Market, within walking distance. It's a bit of a walk from Taichung Station, but still quite manageable on foot. There are three shower rooms, and as they're shared, they can be a bit grubby. However, the beds are clean. The power outlet and light switch are too close together; plugging something in often accidentally turns off the light. You need a bit of a knack to plug things in without hitting the switch.

GGuest UserWe were a large group this trip, so finding a suitable place to eat was a bit challenging, but other than that, everything else was satisfactory. The staff were friendly and made a great effort to accommodate us and ensure our comfort. It took a while to walk to Fengjia Night Market, but overall, we were still pleased.

GGuest UserWhat I liked: the room looks exactly like the picture, friendly staff, AC, hot water shower with good pressure, mini fridge, great Internet, comfy bed, water dispenser, free coffee/tea/hot chocolate dispenser, good soundproofing, great location, quiet. What I didn't like: dirty walls with stains, mold in the bathroom, musty smell in the room. Also, the carpet in the hallways is in serious need of vacuuming.

GGuest UserOverall, I had a good experience staying at this hotel. The location is convenient, the room was clean, and the service was friendly. For the price, it’s definitely reasonable, and I’d be happy to come back again if I visit Taichung in the future. The only downside was the water temperature in the bathroom — it was quite hard to adjust, and tended to be a little too hot. It would be great if that could be improved for a more comfortable stay.

DDelonXD!!TAKE NOTICE IF YOU WANT TO BOOK!! The address was !!! No. 23, Lane 101, Zhishan Rd, Xitun District, Taichung City, 407!!! I dunno why the boss still not updating as many people already complain the address but still It was good location from Feng Chia night market & there was no lobby staff for it just security staff. So any goes wrong or issues need to contact the boss. The room was average but need to improve the blanket as inside was messed up like a ball, so, need to change it. The bedroom was very very comfortable. The toilet is a bit old for the door & the soap handle already broken down. Overall, it was still ok & reasonable price for budget homestay. We will book again but need more improve the toilet
