"Set in I’m assuming an old hotel. The dorm is a little cramped but I liked the privacy of the pods. The toilets and showers are clean and modern. The common area is a little uncomfortable - just a tables and chairs set up. Could be a little more homely. But overall for the price I it’s a good place to stay. The door on the room is very heavy so makes a lot of noise when people are going in and out"

FFlow.dotcomI had a wonderful stay at Millennium Hotel Taichung! This is truly a 5-star experience from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. As soon as my taxi pulled up, the bellboy came over right away and helped with my luggage—even sending it directly to my room without me needing to handle anything. Such thoughtful service! The room was very spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day out. I especially loved the little touches, like the Nespresso coffee machine for a nice cup of coffee anytime. The biggest surprise was the complimentary mini bar—there were four bottles of soft drinks provided for free, which was such a nice bonus! The bathroom was also impressively large, clean, and well-designed, adding to the overall luxurious feel of the stay. Overall, I highly recommend Millennium Hotel Taichung if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again! 😊

GGuest UserOverall, my stay was very comfortable. The rooftop bar is fantastic with amazing night views and a great atmosphere. However, the breakfast was a bit lacking as there were no freshly cooked or soft-boiled poached eggs, which made it feel incomplete. That's my only minor complaint.

FfairyThis was my first time bringing my mom to Taichung, and we chose to stay at the Howard Plaza Hotel Taichung. The room was huge, with two large beds, easily accommodating four people. It's truly great value for money. I'll definitely choose to stay at the Howard Plaza Hotel again next time I'm in Taichung.

VVladimir PervouchineHotel is great overall, but beds are really hard surface type. The hotel feels like was last renovated / built some 20 or so years ago, which makes everything looks dated. However, in terms of cleanliness, service and location it is an excellent hotel (if you are ok sleeping on a hard bed). Staff is very helpful. We didn’t try spa or dining so cannot comment here. Location is good: it is not too far from central district yet if you’re driving (we did) you don’t have to drive through the most congested areas. There are a few excellent coffee places nearby. Many places around to eat.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very good value for money. The room was surprisingly large, and the bed was huge, perfectly sized for a family of three. The staff were quick to bring extra towels and blankets, and there was no charge for charging your electric car. Excellent!

GGuest UserThe Plaza Hotel is actually an older, well-established brand in Taichung. Its location is quite good, and the entire hotel has been recently renovated, so it's still very spacious and clean. It's conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to get to Fengjia Night Market, the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, the new Hanshin Department Store, or Shinkong Mitsukoshi in the 7th Redevelopment Zone. There's parking available on-site. The hotel also offers breakfast, but you can choose a room-only option if you prefer not to have it. Definitely recommended!

I asked about parking a the AI responder responded that there was no parking available. However, there is a parking lot in front of the hotel, although it is private parking the hotel still provides a ticket for free parking. Since I didn’t get a proper response, I had to make other arrangements for parking and only saw the parking when we travelled there by MRT.

GGuest UserWe checked in at this hotel on the evening of December 21, 2025. Immediately after we got into the assigned room, we smelled a very strong odor of chemical spray. My wife couldn’t bear this and started to have allergic reaction. Immediately we notified the front desk. They offered to switch to another room. Nevertheless , when we got to the other room, it had the same chemical odor. Therefore we decided to leave this hotel and found another hotel to stay for that night. We had requested a refund and the front desk at the Comin Place said that they would contact Trip.com to refund us the fee. However, till now we haven’t received the refund from Trip.com.
