I have visited Piaoniao many times, but the interior furnishings are different every time. I have stayed on the female floor and the mixed floor. The female floor is very safe for girls traveling alone, and you can meet good friends on the mixed floor. , shower gel and shampoo are provided here, and the water pressure is sufficient. You need to bring other supplies such as toothbrushes and towels by yourself. It is near Qinmei and the living functions are also very convenient. Highly recommended!

As a backpacker, I was very impressed by the Lane 62 Youth Hostel in Taichung. The location here is superior, located on Section 5 of Taiwan Boulevard, with convenient transportation, a bus stop at the doorstep, banks and convenience stores nearby, and complete living facilities. The hostel is fully equipped with comfortable beds, clean bathroom facilities and a shared kitchen for self-catering. The public space is cozy and suitable for communicating and sharing travel stories with travelers from all over the world. Affordable price and high cost performance. The only downside is that it is close to Taiwan Boulevard, so there might be some traffic noise, but it didn't affect me much. Overall, Lane 62 Youth Hostel is an ideal accommodation choice for backpackers in Taichung.

KKuen HawThe hotel is near fengjia night market. All toiletries are provided in the hotel room. There is a lounge with complimentary snacks and hot beverages. There is also a laundry area for you to wash your clothes. Overall, excellent stay. Will book the hotel again if I come Taichung.

AAnnieHsuTaiwanIt is a temporary accommodation. The hotel is located in the city center and the special parking lot is not far away. It is within a 5-minute walk. It is very convenient. It is clean and convenient. The front desk staff at night and during the day are very happy to answer questions and there is no feeling of impatience at all. The room is just so-so. The air-conditioning in the room is very comfortable. The bath water is hot enough and the water pressure is strong enough. It's a pity that there is no breakfast.

CCHUN LIANG GERALDHad a great stay at Hotel Si! The showers had constant hot water with strong pressure, and they even provided travel adapters. The water dispensers on every floor were clean and convenient. The lobby was spacious, open, and beautifully decorated with plenty of plants. However, an important thing to note—our room had a balcony, and the toilet was located outside on it. This can be inconvenient, especially at night or in winter when you have to take a few chilly steps back to the bedroom after a shower. The Sealy bed was super comfortable, but the blanket wasn’t the best. The duvet cover kept shifting due to loose ties, which left empty spaces inside. The TV was large and had YouTube and Netflix, but it was quite laggy—maybe Haier isn’t the best brand for TVs. On the plus side, the location is fantastic! There’s a great massage parlour and a live band bar nearby. That said, the strict 4 PM check-in policy can lead to long queues, and parking is limited to just five spots outside, though alternatives are available. One small suggestion—the hotel might want to consider rebranding as ”Hotel Xi” instead of ”Hotel Si,” as ”Si” means ”die” in Mandarin, which is a cultural taboo for Chinese guests. Overall, it’s a decent option if the price is right. The separate toilet setup was a huge downside for me, but the convenience of the location makes up for it. Would consider staying again!

TTabby YipComfy room with bright color and interesting designs, great location, just around 10mins. walk from train station. And they offer free breakfast, afternoon tea and supper to guests accommodating, that's really nice👍🏽 very helpful and proactive staff at front desk, excellent!!

CCatalyst1999Location was very good, walkable to a number of tourist attractions such as Painted Animation Lane. Room had the necessary features, though small and tired looking. Comfortable bed. Towels were changed daily but need to be completely replaced. All the towels are very thin. Breakfast was passable. I had croissant and bread each morning. There was a multi-lingual coffee machine that provided espresso or americano. Cold milk can be added to coffee and heated up in microwave. Marcus at the front desk was friendly. He helped us out when our travel adapter didn't work. Overall, a comfortable stay. Just go with an open mind :)

NNicholas Wei XiangReally love the industrial themed looking hotel, gave it a really unique experience, with different aesthetic corners at level 1 to sit, enjoy a cup of coffee and read a book. Walking distance to Yi Zhong night market, location was great, very convenient and close to many of the shops we wanted to patronise. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, room size was descent, enough to fit two medium sized luggage on the floor. Water pressure was great.

GGinny Qiu JCThe location is handy for travellers arriving train or bus. Only a short walk out fr the main Taichung station. Even with our luggage we managed to get there easily. How ever for laundry it's not so convenient as there's no separate room and we had to sit in the lounge while washing. It's a coin machine so we had to get enough coins too. Double room Room is quite small for two and my lauggage opens into two halves so not much space on floor. Drawback is lack of restaurants nearby to have a quick breakfast. No food vendors available only family mart BF included in hotel booking was average. Buns soy drinks coffee porridge and noodles. .

BbdwangRoom is as pictured. I like that there’s a door code versus needing to carry a keycard. The top floor can also be used as a workspace with provided coffee machine, tea, and snacks after 5. Location is walkable from the train station and it’s located on the same block as the intercity bus station. Air conditioning works, but needs a cleaning as it gives off a smell if left on too long.

GGuest UserI misread the description in Chinese so this was partly my fault for booking a rather shabby room! The staff were very helpful and friendly though, so that was really lovely. The location was great, and I could easily get around. The only thing was really the amenities inside the room for this room type was flabbergasting! In short, every item inside was just old and of bare quality. You can have old furniture but have the furniture well-maintained. To name a few, the slippers provided were torn, the inside of the fridge was rusty, and there was no shower curtain inside the bathroom! The price was within my budget during peak season and I didn’t want to spend more, plus all other rooms were full, so I didn’t have much to complain about my stay. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious enough. But objectively speaking for the price I was charged, it was definitely pricey given the quality of the room. All I can say is, the photos provided by the hotel were definitely adjusted heavily for lighting and colour. Nevertheless I enjoyed my stay as the room fit my purpose for the stay. It was rather cozy. :)
