As a backpacker, I was very impressed by the Lane 62 Youth Hostel in Taichung. The location here is superior, located on Section 5 of Taiwan Boulevard, with convenient transportation, a bus stop at the doorstep, banks and convenience stores nearby, and complete living facilities. The hostel is fully equipped with comfortable beds, clean bathroom facilities and a shared kitchen for self-catering. The public space is cozy and suitable for communicating and sharing travel stories with travelers from all over the world. Affordable price and high cost performance. The only downside is that it is close to Taiwan Boulevard, so there might be some traffic noise, but it didn't affect me much. Overall, Lane 62 Youth Hostel is an ideal accommodation choice for backpackers in Taichung.

KKuen HawThe hotel is near fengjia night market. All toiletries are provided in the hotel room. There is a lounge with complimentary snacks and hot beverages. There is also a laundry area for you to wash your clothes. Overall, excellent stay. Will book the hotel again if I come Taichung.

GGuest UserIt was a walk from the train station. However it was worth it as it was a beautiful little space. Room was a little space but it was sufficient and cosy. Netflix was available. Bathroom was clean and big. There was free flow wine for certain hours during one of the days. That was a plus.

EEva At BostonClean facilities and excellent lounge space with a great breakfast selection! Bathroom and shower space in female hostel space is very clean and well secured. Really nice staff and laundry is available for a fee of 50 TWD for each washer and dryer machine.

JJnbwySo clean, Very Very Non smoking room. What i loved in my stay is that i dont smell tracw of smoke. But no slippers, The aircon is function well. Our stay is peaceful and quiet. 7/11,bus and train station is nearby. We will come back here!

GGuest UserIf check-in process becomes fully automated, the personal touch for service will deem to be as cold as a robot, and may spoilt the mood for traveller whenever we wish to ask questions about travel activities. Next, after office hours, the shutter roller of the front counter is closed, hence there will be no access to water dispenser. Maybe hotel should consider to install a water dispenser for stayers to refill water, etc

BbdwangRoom is as pictured. I like that there’s a door code versus needing to carry a keycard. The top floor can also be used as a workspace with provided coffee machine, tea, and snacks after 5. Location is walkable from the train station and it’s located on the same block as the intercity bus station. Air conditioning works, but needs a cleaning as it gives off a smell if left on too long.

GGuest UserI misread the description in Chinese so this was partly my fault for booking a rather shabby room! The staff were very helpful and friendly though, so that was really lovely. The location was great, and I could easily get around. The only thing was really the amenities inside the room for this room type was flabbergasting! In short, every item inside was just old and of bare quality. You can have old furniture but have the furniture well-maintained. To name a few, the slippers provided were torn, the inside of the fridge was rusty, and there was no shower curtain inside the bathroom! The price was within my budget during peak season and I didn’t want to spend more, plus all other rooms were full, so I didn’t have much to complain about my stay. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious enough. But objectively speaking for the price I was charged, it was definitely pricey given the quality of the room. All I can say is, the photos provided by the hotel were definitely adjusted heavily for lighting and colour. Nevertheless I enjoyed my stay as the room fit my purpose for the stay. It was rather cozy. :)
