Find 3-Star Hotels in Taichung

This time I brought my wife to Taichung for her birthday, and we stayed at the Norway Forest Cultural Center for the first night. We arrived early to drop off our luggage and immediately experienced the friendly and polite service, which made me feel happy and warm. Although there was a minor issue with the air conditioning in our room when we checked in that evening, the front desk manager came up and helped us switch to a larger and more comfortable room. Their service attitude was also super nice. It's no wonder this hotel has reviews above 9 – it's absolutely deserved. If I have the chance to come again, it will definitely be my first choice! 🥰

The room wasn't huge, but it was very quiet, tucked away in an alley. Parking wasn't an issue though; there was mobile parking right at the entrance, and the hotel also provided information on nearby paid parking lots. I had a great night's sleep; the bed was really comfortable and the pillows were excellent. The air conditioning was perfectly cold. We also received a welcome drink voucher that we could use at the front desk for drinks and snacks. After checking out, we realized we'd left our power bank and charging cable behind. To our surprise, the hotel proactively called us to ask if we wanted them to hold onto it. Since we don't live in Taichung, they even helped us ship it home via Black Cat Express, and we received it the very next morning, carefully wrapped in bubble wrap for protection. This is truly a thoughtful and wonderful hotel! Definitely my top choice for staying in Taichung.

very compact room. minimal space to hang clothes on top of pantry. near to train station, opposite famous miyahara shop (window view of this room). room and toilet are clean if you don't pay close attention to corners. good water pressure and temp for shower. depending on staff, you could meet someone friendly or someone who don't even smile while check in/out.

The first day we arrived there was a city cleaning and so there were so many cockroaches on the first floor but the staff was trying to clean it and it's not their fault. The rooms are very spacious and nice. Breakfast also included and very delicious. (The fries are the besttttt) Tho you have to walk a bit to another hotel, the aunty there is really nice! They no longer provide you plastic amenities but i guess that's for every hotel in Taiwan. Overall a really nice place to stay!

unfortunately i have forgotten to take a photo of the hotel. It takes about 40 minutes from the HSR, so this itself might not be as convenient. However, what I love is that, this is a conveniently located near Miyahara, which is a pick up place for group tours. Their walls are quite thin and you can often hear people coming back or when they’re too loud. Overall, for the price, it’s really good!

Check-in at 4 PM was a bit late, but the Taichung Park nearby was a nice bonus. It's within walking distance of the Yizhong Street Night Market. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's great that there's a hot and cold water dispenser in the hallway. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable, so I slept very well. I highly recommend this place.

This was a business trip, and I found this Japanese-style hotel close to my work location, within walking distance. The hotel has a very Japanese feel to it, and for a solo traveler, the room was spacious and comfortable. They also offer snacks for guests, which is a very thoughtful touch. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel next time I need accommodation!

The hotel offers good value for money, but the breakfast selection was just so-so. On our second day, we visited the Second Market, recommended by locals, which was only about a 5-minute walk away. You *must* try the Shan He Braised Pork Rice, beef pan-fried buns, and Lao Lai Black Tea! We had a great time walking around and eating, and our brunch was easily sorted. As for the room, the bed is right in front of you as soon as you open the door. However, the toilet and shower areas are separated (wet and dry), and there's enough space to open a large suitcase. P.S. There are no convenience stores right near the hotel; you'll have to walk a bit to find one.

Conveniently located near Taiwan Boulevard, making bus travel very accessible. The hotel room was equipped with a wardrobe, refrigerator, and TV, along with both heating and air conditioning. The environment was very clean and hygienic, and the view from the window was open and pleasant. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied.

The hotel wasn't as dated as I expected and was pretty comfortable. It offers convenient on-site parking. However, spaces are limited, so arriving late might mean you won't find a spot. If you've mentioned your parking needs in your booking, it's worth asking the front desk if they can still assist, even if the lot seems full. There isn't much in the immediate vicinity; the nearest convenience store is a bit of a walk.
