"ThIs was a really bad experience staying in this hotel. We check-in around 9pm at night and discovered that the hotel has arranged a damaged room (refer pics) for us at the moment before bed time . One door of the wooden cabinet was lost but leaving the door hinges on the side of the cabinet. We decided not to request to change the room, despite we felt this is not being respected as a hotel guest.
We complained the issues to the front desk and the customer service officer explained that it is not a broken/ damage cabinet door but this was their intention to remove the door.
This seems an excuse since if this was the intention to remove the door why only one door was remove rather than both. The door hinges was still attached which means the door could be reinstalled one day."

OorangefryI specifically chose the annex which features an indoor hot spring bath, and the off-season rate was excellent. If you don't mind public baths, the main building next door is also a good option. However, the annex has its own dedicated elevator and private access. For subway arrivals, it's best to navigate directly to 'Kongting Terrace,' as directing to the annex itself might lead you to a back entrance. The minibar is restocked daily with an impressive variety of items. A nice perk for annex guests is that no drink vouchers are required for the terrace. The hotel's location is superb, situated right in the Shijo area, directly opposite Takashimaya. For exploring attractions, taking a bus from Shijo is by far the most convenient option. Overall, it's an ideal hotel for a relaxing getaway.

LLiujingyanWe chose a large corner room with windows on both sides. The hotel building has a history of more than 200 years. The location is great. It is right at the entrance of Kiyomizu Temple Commercial Street. It is quiet in the bustling city. The hotel is very quiet and elegant, with high-end decoration, complete facilities and excellent service!
Breakfast is served in a library-style restaurant, which is very special. I highly recommend Japanese breakfast. Everyone thinks it is high-end Japanese cuisine when they post it on WeChat Moments. There are also vegetarian and children's meal options for breakfast. I also strongly recommend the window seat in the executive lounge. Drink Japanese tea or Japanese whiskey in the afternoon and look at the quaint buildings outside. It is worth the effort!

There's a small garden in the inner courtyard, and the hidden door designs between different sections of the hotel are quite interesting and uniquely Japanese. The hotel has a lounge offering coffee, tea, and snacks, and you can also try out little games like origami. The tableware in both the lounge and the rooms is very refined and distinctly Japanese.
The hotel also has its own onsen (hot spring bath) that guests can use for free, and it stays open quite late.
Breakfast is good, a combination of Japanese and Western buffet styles.
Plus, the hotel is very close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, within walking distance.

I highly recommend this hotel, first of all when you come to Kyoto!!!
1. Good service, the beautiful receptionist greeted us to the 2nd floor to rest and check in, providing tea, towels, and snacks during the check-in period. When checking in, she patiently confirmed the information, was very warm and sincere, and greeted us with a smile and sent us to the elevator. A bunch of snacks were given for free in the room, especially a canvas bag as a souvenir, which was very generous. This is the hotel with the most satisfactory service during the 9-day trip to Japan.
2. The room facilities are complete, the living room space is large, the shower room, toilet, and washbasin are very atmospheric, and the decoration is very pink, the kind of delicate feeling of a little woman. I stayed for 2 nights and gave enough toiletries every day. It can be seen that the hotel pays great attention to the guest experience and feelings.
3. The transportation is very convenient. Behind the hotel is the Kamo River. Walking up along the Kamo River is the Nijo Sanjo, and there is also Kiyomizu Temple. There is no need for transportation to go there. If you want to go to Yasaka Shrine and Hanami Koji, it is also very close. There is a bus stop at the entrance of the hotel, which can go directly to Kyoto Railway Station. It is really convenient.
4. The emotional value is maximized.

GGuest UserThe location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a short walk across a small road from Kyoto Station. Just a heads-up though, there are actually two hotels co-located here. We initially went to the wrong one, which was a bit awkward, but thankfully, a kind staff member from the adjacent hotel showed us to ours.
We booked a room with three one-meter beds, and they were very comfortable.
The hotel room was actually quite spacious. The bathroom featured a 'three-compartment' design, with the toilet in its own separate cubicle. This design is excellent; it perfectly suited one family member's preference for privacy when using the toilet, and it didn't interfere with us washing our faces and hands.
If we ever return to Kyoto, we will definitely choose this hotel again.

GGuest UserOnline hotel bookings can often feel like a blind box draw, but Dusit Thani was definitely the right pick. Every staff member I encountered had an excellent attitude, the room was spotless, and even though the turndown service only provided a bottle of water, it was a pleasant and thoughtful touch. Thai brands truly excel in their service consciousness and aesthetic sense. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, and with no other guests in the public lobby areas, I thoroughly enjoyed the bliss of reading a book alone.

__WeChat20061****Hotel Granvia's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right on the second floor, accessible by elevator on the left once you enter the main entrance of Osaka Station. Plus, there are several other entrances, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. Even just around the hotel, there's so much to explore. Inside the station, you'll find both Isetan and Porta shopping malls. The ramen at Ramen Street on Isetan's 10th floor is also delicious – I recommend the tantanmen; it's spicy and incredibly satisfying! When checking out, I bought a Hello Kitty Haruka e-ticket directly on Klook, and I could just scan my phone to enter and exit. The entrance is also right downstairs from the hotel, directly opposite the Kyoto Station entrance. If it's your first time visiting Kyoto, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Granvia.

QQiangqiangmiaoGiven its non-cancellable policy, I hesitated for a long time when planning my trip, but ultimately decided to spend our last two nights here. We loved our stay so much, we didn't want to leave – I really should have booked it for our entire stay from the beginning!
Despite the lack of an onsen (hot spring), the bedding was incredibly comfortable. After a tiring day of sightseeing, sleeping felt like floating on clouds, which was pure bliss.
The photos really don't capture all the details. The bathroom was quite spacious, and all facilities were impeccably maintained. I didn't have high expectations for breakfast, which included options like stir-fried fresh mushrooms, Japanese chazuke, and Western-style dishes. However, the quality and flavor were undeniably excellent! They offered salmon sashimi, various other fish, bacon, ham, stir-fried mushrooms, and stir-fried chicken. For drinks, there was a good selection of fruit juices, and the fruits included grapefruit, grapes, bananas, and pineapples.
The location is incredibly convenient. Keihan Sanjo Station and a bus stop are merely 80 meters away. We were able to walk to various attractions like museums, Ninen-zaka, Sannen-zaka, and Takashimaya. Getting to areas like Arashiyama by subway was also very quick. It was surprisingly quiet during the day. At night, just across the road, the bars along the Kamo River were bustling with activity. Yet, we experienced absolutely no noise in our room at night.
The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. When we first arrived, we struggled to find the entrance and ended up at the back door. By chance, we encountered a staff member just starting their shift, who personally escorted us to the front desk. Later, the front desk staff also personally guided us to the mother-and-baby room on the basement floor. These small details truly demonstrated the high quality of their service.

Ccairns8010To get to the hotel, you have to climb a long and steep slope. It was so hot that I was sweating like crazy. The location is not as good as Park Hyatt. Breakfast is set, but you can add anything you want. The Japanese and Western dishes are very exquisite, but I don't like them. Especially the breakfast without self-service fruit is too low. The hot spring is a bit like Six Senses, but not as big as Six Senses. It's good with fewer people. It's unexpected that a hotel of this level doesn't have a sound system. The only good thing is that all the service staff are very friendly. The overall review is really average.
