This hotel is excellent, truly deserving its place on this year's Black Pearl Guide. It's perfectly located right outside the main entrance of the Longmen Grottoes, just a few minutes' walk to the scenic area, and very convenient for reaching the high-speed train station or the city center. The surrounding area features Longmen Ancient Street, offering plenty of dining and shopping options. The hotel itself has a fantastic design, making it very photogenic. What's even better is the attractive price – the value for money is outstanding; I doubt you'll find a better deal on the entire Black Pearl list.

I rarely leave reviews, but this time I just had to because the hotel was so exceptional, and I didn't want the hard work of all the staff to go unnoticed. I stayed for four days, and the room was incredibly comfortable, spacious, clean, and beautiful. But beyond the room's comfort, the service truly provided an overwhelming amount of emotional value. 👍 The complimentary pick-up and drop-off service was fantastic. The driver was formally dressed, neat, and proactively helped us with all our luggage. The car was also spotless, and everyone received a wet towel and a bottle of mineral water upon entering. The attention to detail in their service was outstanding. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and diligent. Every day, they offered a free selection of snacks, beverages, ice cream, and tea bags. Whenever we had questions, they answered with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, and even gave us various small gifts, which was a delightful surprise. The housekeeping service was absolutely unparalleled; it made you feel like royalty (like even the emperor would bow to you! 😂). All the housekeeping ladies not only fulfilled every request but also proactively anticipated our needs. For example, when they saw my glasses on the table, a housekeeping attendant proactively brought an eyeglass case. When they noticed we had a lot of clothes, a lady would bring a drying rack. And when they saw our cosmetics scattered on the table, another lady brought two small cosmetic bags to help us organize and carry them more conveniently. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, with a comprehensive selection of Chinese and Western, hot and cold dishes. The restaurant staff would also proactively and randomly ask guests daily, 'How was your rest last night? Do you have any suggestions for improvement?' If they saw a guest carrying too many plates, they would offer to help carry them back to the table. For dishes that took a few minutes to prepare, they would ask for the table number and deliver them. If you didn't want to go downstairs for breakfast, they could even deliver it to your room. The parking attendant was also amazing, helping with parking, moving cars, and safekeeping keys. Whenever you parked, the attendant was always there, truly providing constant assistance. 😂 Across every service, there were so many instances of such proactive service that it truly deserves the highest praise.

This hotel is simply fantastic! First off, the service was impeccable. I booked an airport transfer, and they had someone waiting for me right on time. There was even a thoughtful welcome gift 🎁. Check-in was super quick and easy, and the front desk staff, a lovely young lady, was incredibly warm and attentive. She even upgraded me to a wonderful room with a balcony that offered stunning lake views – bridges, flowing water, pavilions, and towers, all surrounded by lush greenery. The Chinese garden design is absolutely beautiful, making it a perfect spot for a vacation. The room itself was well-equipped, comfortable, spacious, and bright, with a grand, luxurious, and exquisite decor. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Every year I go to Laojun Mountain, and every year I stay here. It's not just a habit, it's a sense of comfort. There aren't many high-end hotels near Laojun Mountain, and while Yishuiwan Hotel is a bit older, its foundation as a high-end hotel is still there. The service is impeccable, but the rooms are indeed a bit dated. Breakfast is important to me, and that's an area that should probably be upgraded a bit.

I LOVE the zen vibes and decor of this hotel. The amenities from the book bar to the mini theatre were excellent and perfect for a relaxing chilled staycation. The hotel went above and beyond to take care of our needs and comfort. The hotel staff were all friendly and professional. We were extremely impressed by their attentiveness, especially by Hon, the chief concierge. He prepared water for us before a sightseeing trip and gave us good advice on which exit to get to, time spent etc. The restaurant at the hotel was also very good!! We love Cantonese food and even more so when it is done WELL. A fancy hotel is easy to come by if one pays for it but a great service that goes beyond your expectations is very hard to come by. Great value overall, comfortable, extremely relaxing and impressionable stay.

Very good, great service! We originally planned to stay for one day, but the air was fresh and the environment was great by the reservoir. With the upgraded service, we stayed one more night. The room was clean and tidy, with floor heating and air conditioning fully equipped. It was highly intelligent, with a wide view and a great lake view. Special thanks to the kitchen and front desk for their support and help. The children worked hard to take care of us during the Spring Festival. Thank you! I had heard about Huayang's excellent service before, and experiencing it firsthand was truly wonderful. Upon check-in, I was offered a hot towel to clean my hands. The front desk lady smoothly took my ID and immediately put a protective cover on it. The room was clean and tidy, and there was an abundance of toiletries. Every staff member was very friendly, always greeting me with a nod whenever we met. During a typhoon, my laundry wasn't drying well, and the staff promptly helped me resolve the issue. What really stood out was returning to find my clothes, which I had hung in the bathroom, had been taken out and neatly arranged on a drying rack. It felt like a 'snail girl' (a mythical helpful fairy) had visited – these small gestures made me feel incredibly cared for. Next time I'm in Luoyang, I will definitely stay at Huayang again. Looking forward to my next visit!

Several friends highly recommended we stay here if we were visiting Longmen Grottoes. I'm glad I listened to their advice, because their taste is excellent! The hotel is located on East Mountain, facing the Longmen Grottoes on West Mountain across the river. You can even see some of the grottoes from the rooftop terrace of Building 5. The hotel is right next to Xiangshan Temple and surrounds Bai Garden, offering beautiful scenery at every turn. The service is also excellent. You can book an electric shuttle at the front desk to take you to the East Gate of the Grottoes, then walk or take another shuttle to the Northwest Gate ticket office. After exploring the Grottoes and Bai Garden, it's just a short walk back to the hotel. The room type we booked even included a free send-off service to the station, which was very convenient. While the decor might be a little dated, the facilities are complete. It's clean and hygienic, with welcome fruit and complimentary snacks and drinks. The breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, all rich and delicious, though the coffee was really not good, haha. We had lunch in the banquet hall, using a BOGO deal from Ctrip for two people, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous and tasty! Upon check-in, we received a voucher for the tea room on the upper floor's terrace. Enjoying tea and a book there was incredibly pleasant! The lady working at the tea room provided amazing service. Overall, I highly recommend it!

I rarely actively review hotels because I don't usually have high demands for stays; cleanliness, a good environment, and complete facilities are usually enough. However, this hotel not only met all those expectations but also thoughtfully prepared afternoon tea. It wasn't just a few scattered fruits and biscuits; the tea bar in the lobby was neatly arranged with a wide variety of items, even more impressive than some five-star hotel buffet restaurants. This stay was for a Joker Xue concert, and upon entering, there was a Joker Xue standee, and the lobby was decorated. There was even a dedicated area with signature pens and spotlights. They also provided a special shuttle bus service for the concert, going to and from the Olympic Sports Center. Plus, there were Joker Xue merchandise items as souvenirs, and they even upgraded my room by two categories! It was truly perfect. If I come to Luoyang again, I will definitely choose this hotel. Excellent!
