"On a business trip to Changsha, I stayed at this hotel following a colleague's recommendation, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. The front desk service on the ground floor was incredibly welcoming; the lady spoke softly and had such a kind and thoughtful attitude. She even proactively upgraded me to a river-view king room. The room was spacious and well-appointed with every amenity. Not only did it feature a bathtub and bathrobes, but an iron was thoughtfully provided, which perfectly addressed my immediate need to press my clothes and shirts. The bedding, too, was a delightful surprise; the mattress offered the perfect balance of firmness, and the duvet and sheets were incredibly soft and skin-friendly. I felt all my fatigue melt away the moment I lay down, leading to exceptionally sound and peaceful sleep throughout my stay. The highlight, however, was definitely the room's stunning view – opening the window revealed a panoramic vista of Orange Isle and the majestic Xiang River unfolding right before my eyes. Especially at dusk, as the golden hues of the setting sun streamed into the room, the spectacular evening glow over the river was on full display. That moment of tranquility and comfort truly allowed me to completely unwind, both physically and mentally."

"The room was large and beautiful, with a great view. The room was also very new and super clean. The staff were extremely attentive and always provided everything we needed, and they even remembered what we liked for breakfast. 小方 and 思思 were very helpful with matters ranging from the hotel to booking tours. AAnonymous UserDuring our family trip to Changsha, we chose the Crowne Plaza Changsha Shijing Square, and it delivered so many pleasant surprises! Everything, from the hotel's facilities to its service, left a deep impression on us, and I simply have to share our experience.
The hotel scored full marks for being family-friendly. Because we contacted them in advance about bringing children, they proactively provided a kids' amenity kit and a lovely toy, which absolutely thrilled our little one! They also thoughtfully assigned us a corner room, which was incredibly spacious, allowing our child to run around freely without disturbing anyone. The absolute highlight was the heated swimming pool – the water temperature was just perfect for kids, and ours didn't want to leave!
I didn't have high expectations for the hotel's dining options, but I was completely blown away! The breakfast offered a wonderful variety of noodle dishes and authentic Changsha rice vermicelli, all incredibly delicious. Some food stations were even set at a child-friendly height, making it easy for little ones to serve themselves. In the evening, we bought some braised dishes from a small stall set up at the hotel – the pineapple buns were absolutely fantastic and offered great value for money.
The service was meticulously attentive, and a few small details particularly touched me: the doormen consistently helped open car doors and handle luggage; the housekeeping staff, noticing we had a child, left extra bottles of water every day; and upon check-out, the front desk even gave our child some local Changsha snacks for the road. This kind of thoughtful service truly made us feel welcomed and cared for.
The location is actually quite convenient. Although it's not in the city center, there's a subway station just a short walk from the hotel, making it very easy to get to attractions like Orange Isle and Yuelu Mountain. Most importantly, the area is wonderfully quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. Plus, the beautiful Songya Lake is nearby, perfect for a refreshing morning run!
This stay completely redefined my perception of a business hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend it for both family vacations and business trips! We've already decided to stay here again on our next visit to Changsha.

XXunnyDAs someone from the U.S. who wanted to explore more about Chinese culture, this hotel felt like staying in a museum. You can see the history as you walk around from the architecture to the decor. As someone who’s not very good at speaking Chinese, the staff was very kind and accommodating, especially when using WeChat to to communicate my requests. I traveled with my girlfriend and the room we stayed in was spotless and super comfortable. The amenities provided in our room went above and beyond, making our stay feel more luxurious. I will say the free laundry service came as a surprise to me and is a huge plus with staying here. I’ve stayed at St. Regis Changsha, and I can definitely say the stay here is very comparable in terms of comfort. If you’re looking for a hotel with history, charm, and a location that makes you feel like you’re authentically visiting Changsha, then this is the spot to go to. We will definitely be coming back here in the future!!!

PphilipzkThis is a classic Marriott brand, located within the Wanda Plaza. Downstairs, you'll find the Wanda Huigou shopping center, and the subway station is also very close, making transportation extremely convenient. The hotel's decor is stylish and avant-garde, with a space theme that feels futuristic. The 'Wondrous Room' (奇妙房) features a popular, open-concept circular bathtub. The in-room mini-bar is similar to other W hotels. During your stay, the first round of soft drinks from the mini-bar is complimentary. The lobby, bar, pool, and gym are all on the 6th floor. The pool is quite large, though there are only two loungers; the rest are sunken booth-style seats. The bar is incredibly cool, with a resident DJ spinning tracks in the evenings. Our package included two complimentary cocktails. Breakfast is served on the 5th floor, offering a rich variety of options, and the taste is quite good. Service across all departments was generally warm and attentive, although there were a few individual staff members whose service was less than stellar.

MMarcHoMy recent two-night stay at The Jewel Hidden Valley was nothing short of wonderful. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this serene and culturally rich retreat provided the perfect escape. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel right at home.
A special mention goes to ”Julie” and ”Zhang Kai Yi” (if I remember correctly), who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Despite the rain, they selflessly helped us with our luggage all the way to our villa—a gesture that truly touched us. Zhang even took the time to personally walk us to the Tong Guan Kiln, which was about 8 minutes away, sharing interesting insights along the way. Their kindness and attentiveness were truly impressive.
The hotel’s design and layout are stunning, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings while maintaining a luxurious feel. Our villa was spacious, well-appointed, and immaculately clean, with high-quality amenities and toiletries that added to the comfort.
Breakfast was another highlight—the spread was extensive, offering a variety of delicious options that catered to different tastes. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, making it a great start to our days.
Overall, The Jewel Hidden Valley exceeded my expectations in every way. The peaceful ambiance, outstanding service, and attention to detail make it a hidden gem worth revisiting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a quiet, culturally immersive getaway!

LLixiaoyuOverall, I'm very satisfied. The hotel's location is quite good, and my request for a non-smoking, quiet room was handled perfectly. They even upgraded my room! The B1 and B2 parking lots are directly connected to the subway station and Wanda Plaza, but there aren't many signs in the parking lot, so you might need to ask for directions. The breakfast selection isn't huge, and the dinner buffet has even fewer options; I'd suggest adding more variety. You can walk or take the subway to Orange Isle, which is very convenient, and it's a ten-minute electric cart ride to Yuelu Mountain. Changsha is truly a fantastic city, bustling at night, but the only downside is that drivers can be a bit wild.

HHuxiaohubumihuFirst time in Changsha, and my first stay at a JW Marriott. While this JW isn't in the city center, it's very close to the subway exit. You can see the building as soon as you step out, less than 200 meters away. Check-in is on the 35th floor at the front desk, and then you take a separate elevator to your room. The service was excellent; staff greeted guests warmly and even upgraded my room type. The color palette and lighting were soft and soothing, not harsh at all, which perfectly matches my preferred 'light luxury' style. The city view was fantastic, offering sights of the Xiang River and IFS. I heard Jay Chou stayed here when he had a concert, so it's practically the same experience, haha. If I come back to Changsha, I'd definitely choose JW again. My only slight regret is not getting the griffin.

MM41049****I chose this hotel because I was accompanying my child to an Eggy Party competition and needed a place close to both the train station and the event venue. It turned out to be a really good choice.
The hotel is a convenient 7-8 minute walk from Changsha South Station and also offers a shuttle service. It's equally close (7-8 minutes walk) to Pingyang Station on Line 4, and Wuyue Plaza is just a 5-minute stroll away. The location is truly fantastic, big thumbs up!
Upon checking in, we found a crack in the window glass in our room. We notified the housekeeping staff, and shortly after, a young woman came to assist us. I forgot to get her name, but I remember a cute Strawberry Bear sticker on her key card! Our original intention was just to report the broken glass, and we weren't particularly concerned about changing rooms. However, she insisted on moving us to a new room and even presented us with a complimentary fruit platter. The apples, peaches, and apricots in it were all incredibly fresh and tasty. The hotel's response to unexpected issues is truly impressive and very timely.
Our room offered a view of trains arriving and departing from the station, which both my child and I thoroughly enjoyed. Another big plus! The air conditioning in the hotel elevators is incredibly strong – another definite plus!
The laundry room is exceptionally well-equipped and thoughtful, featuring seven washing machines, including one specifically for children. All seven machines come with a drying function. There's also a spacious outdoor terrace with plenty of hangers, making it very convenient for air-drying clothes. What's more, key card access is required for the laundry room, adding an extra layer of security and convenience. All these aspects get another thumbs up!
Breakfast was standard but satisfactory. Food items were replenished, and tables cleared very promptly, which I appreciated. Thumbs up for that too!
If I had to offer one suggestion, it would be to add a friendly notice in the laundry room, politely reminding guests to retrieve their clothes promptly after washing. On my first day, when I went to do laundry, one of the seven machines was in use, and the other six, though finished, still had clothes left inside. The front desk mentioned they couldn't remove guests' belongings. I waited for ten minutes, and no one came, so I had no choice but to take out the previous users' clothes to do my own wash. While this issue stems from guest etiquette rather than hotel service, a gentle reminder from the hotel could certainly help.
All in all, if I return to Changsha, I would definitely choose to stay here again. Highly recommended!

My biggest thanks go to the front desk for their incredibly thoughtful service. I had an early high-speed train to catch the next morning, needing to leave around 5 AM, so I was quite concerned about missing breakfast. I just happened to mention it when checking in. The front desk attendant immediately responded, 'Sir, please don't worry. I'll make a note of this. Tomorrow morning, we'll prepare a breakfast box for you to take with you, or you're welcome to grab a quick bite at the restaurant. We'll ensure you get a good, hearty meal.' Her words instantly put my mind at ease!
True to their word, when I arrived at the restaurant at 5 AM the next day, the staff had already prepared a breakfast box for me. It contained not just warm buns and eggs, but also yogurt and fruit – a perfectly balanced and nutritious meal. What's more, the server was incredibly warm and welcoming, showing absolutely no sign of impatience despite the early hour. Having such a thoughtful and comforting breakfast at that early hour was the perfect start to a busy day. Their dedication truly left an impression on me.
Beyond this outstanding highlight, the hotel excelled in other areas too:
* **Room Amenities:** The room was impeccably clean and tidy, with soft, comfortable bedding. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing me to sleep soundly until morning.
* **Location:** The hotel's location is extremely convenient, with easy access to transportation and plenty of dining and shopping options nearby.

We family of 4 stayed there for 2 nights as first part of the X’mas trip to Changsha. Trip.com package was so amusing that, apart from breakfast, the stay included 2 complimentary tickets to Happy Snow Park 歡樂雪域, 5 mins walk from the hotel. While we were puzzled and felt helpless at the hotel front desk about the inability to redeem the free tickets due to the fact that we did not possess China Identity Card (which were needed to redeem and activate the tickets), we were lucky to have Sarai’s patience and effectiveness in coordinating with the Snow Park to sort things out smoothly. She was so caring and responsible that she kept following us up via WeChat to ensure things went alright. I would say the great hospitality from her made a very good first impression of not only Langham Place Hotel, but also Changsha overall. We had a great time at the Snow Park and an enjoyable stay, it could not be without her assistance. Thanks again Sarai and Langham Place!

MMarcelGStayed 1 night (May 3). The big plus is the Hotel location and rooms on 90th floor with nice views. Interior design of the rooms is nice. However, the Service is not at the premium level you would expect. Understandably English might not be a top priority in Changsha, but you would expect a minimum for Check-in communications and Service Staff. There was 1 Lobby Manager who’s very friendly and tried to help. Maintenance of the rooms lacks attention to details, the breakfast area is too small, overcrowded and super noisy for 210CNY/p.p extra. Also, skip the Lobby Bar Music Band or lower volume given the acoustics of the Lobby and the singer trying to hit tones.
