Even though the hotel is a bit older, the room was clean and spacious, which made me feel really good. There was also a large desk that was very practical for holding lots of things. The only downside is there isn't much of a view. However, the location is great, with the subway entrance just a few steps away, which is super convenient. If you're looking for a room with a view, I wouldn't recommend it, but if comfort is your priority, then this place is highly recommended."

"On a business trip to Changsha, I stayed at this hotel following a colleague's recommendation, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. The front desk service on the ground floor was incredibly welcoming; the lady spoke softly and had such a kind and thoughtful attitude. She even proactively upgraded me to a river-view king room. The room was spacious and well-appointed with every amenity. Not only did it feature a bathtub and bathrobes, but an iron was thoughtfully provided, which perfectly addressed my immediate need to press my clothes and shirts. The bedding, too, was a delightful surprise; the mattress offered the perfect balance of firmness, and the duvet and sheets were incredibly soft and skin-friendly. I felt all my fatigue melt away the moment I lay down, leading to exceptionally sound and peaceful sleep throughout my stay. The highlight, however, was definitely the room's stunning view – opening the window revealed a panoramic vista of Orange Isle and the majestic Xiang River unfolding right before my eyes. Especially at dusk, as the golden hues of the setting sun streamed into the room, the spectacular evening glow over the river was on full display. That moment of tranquility and comfort truly allowed me to completely unwind, both physically and mentally."

"We booked a family suite with twin beds, which included one bedroom and a living room. The environment was excellent – quiet, comfortable, and without any strange odors. It even had a bathtub, and having two bathrooms was incredibly convenient. The cleanliness was impeccable. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally welcoming. Card access is required to use the elevators, which made us feel very secure. We also enjoyed a beautiful night view of the Ferris wheel from our room. When we checked out, they thoughtfully offered us water for our journey. The only slight downside is that the location isn't as convenient for transportation as staying right by Wuyi Square, but this also means it's wonderfully quiet."

"I chose the Grand Hyatt for its location, and I generally trust the quality of the Hyatt group, which proved to be true. Overall, the experience was excellent. The staff were meticulous and always willing to help, which made us very happy. A big thank you to the staff. I booked a river view room, but perhaps due to its position, the 'river view' was a bit limited. I imagined a river view room would offer a full, frontal view of the river, but my room only showed a small section (as seen in the picture). So, the view was a bit underwhelming. Had I known it would be like this, I might have considered a standard room instead. The hygiene was perfect, truly excellent. The environment was fantastic, and the service was great. I do have a small suggestion regarding the facilities: consider upgrading to smart toilet seats. Even Atour Hotels have already made this change, and as a standard five-star hotel, it seems appropriate to do so. The staff at the entrance could improve their attitude slightly. When I arrived, there was no one at the door, and I had to carry my own luggage in. It wasn't until I was inside the hotel that a staff member came to help with my bags. Maybe I just caught them during a bathroom break, so it's not a big deal. In summary, it was excellent, and I will definitely consider Hyatt group hotels again in the future. Thank you."

The breakfast selection was extensive… My daughter couldn't get up to eat breakfast downstairs, and when the front desk lady found out, she even prepared a takeaway box so I could bring some food and soy milk back to the room for her! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 This detail left the biggest impression on me… The staff are truly so thoughtful!!! When in Changsha, this is the only hotel I'll consider 😎😎😎 The photos are 100% accurate!"

"Cleanliness: Subpar. I started itching right after my afternoon nap, and it persisted throughout the next day and night, leaving me scratching constantly. I had initially planned to extend my stay, but the discomfort was so unbearable that I simply cancelled my reservation and checked out early. Environment: The location is good, being very close to the subway entrance, which made getting around super convenient. However, the street area directly below the hotel was quite dirty and chaotic. The soundproofing was poor; the outdoor air conditioning unit was extremely loud, as was the street noise from downstairs. I didn't get a wink of sleep. Service: On the plus side, the front desk offers complimentary late-night congee and free laundry service. They also allow for late check-out, which is a thoughtful and flexible policy. (I didn't use the laundry service, so I can't vouch for its quality.)"

"The hotel is absolutely fantastic and truly suited my style. The privacy was also excellent, thanks to a unique pull-down privacy screen – a rare feature that genuinely protected guest privacy. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping team was excellent too. Every day after cleaning, they even left a thoughtful note for guests. The hotel was spotless and well-maintained. The location was super convenient for getting around, with Chaozong Street right downstairs, offering plenty of Instagrammable spots. They also offered complimentary luggage transfer upon check-out. I just have one small suggestion: For my room type, it would be great to have a small stool or a laundry hamper next to the bed for clothes. Personally, I think it would be much more convenient to have somewhere to put clothes after getting up or coming back from a day out, rather than having to retrieve them from the sofa, which isn't very practical."

"First time staying here and it was a fantastic experience! The front desk upgraded my room for free, and the room itself was incredibly spacious and very clean. It was a really great stay. Even in the middle of the night, they helped me check the surveillance footage when I asked, showing excellent service. Next time I'm in Changsha, I'll definitely choose to stay here again. The surroundings are beautiful, and there are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby, plus a large cinema right next door. Highly recommend!"

EELCValue for money. Location is near city centre and just 5 min from metro so convenient to get around. Room inclusive of buffet breakfast . Originally was worried if the rooms will be old but turn out pretty well. Reception staff were all friendly. I requested late check out due to train schedule but the receptionist on duty told me to request next morning. Before I could request again, someone contacted me to offer late checkout. The service team seamless handover was superb! specially shoutout to the room attendant that cleaned our room. The room was clean, tidy and smell good. She even cleaned our spectacles and wrote a small note. What a personal touch that I did not expect of the hotel given the room rate was affordable. Will definitely be back if I visit Changsha again!

The hotel is located on Chaozong Ancient Street, blending seamlessly with the surrounding historic buildings. Its decor is simple yet elegant, boasting both artistic flair and a strong sense of design. It's renowned for its high-quality service and comfortable environment. From the airport pick-up service, 24-hour concierge travel guidance, complimentary fruit upon check-in, Baisha Spring water and Evian water in the room, to the abundant afternoon tea and late-night snacks available until the early hours, and the incredibly thoughtful Chinese breakfast delivered to our room – every detail was perfect. Our attentive concierge even arranged for Heytea (Chayanyuese) to be delivered for us before we even arrived! Every single detail was touching. The arched corridors in the public areas and the design of the lobby bar felt like being in an art museum, making for fantastic photos! We also received a complimentary travel photography session upon check-in, taking countless pictures. All the negatives were given to us, plus nine retouched photos – absolutely fantastic! Yijian 6500 Chaozong Ancient Street branch perfectly combines design, humanistic care, and quality service, offering travelers more than just a place to stay, but a cherished memory. If you come to Changsha and are looking for a place where you can feel the city's pulse while also enjoying some peaceful time, this is undoubtedly an excellent choice. Overall, my stay was five stars! The experience was superb! I'll definitely be back!!

GGuest UserGreat hotel, centrally located to everything! Easy access from the train station- it took less than 45 min to get from the train station to the hotel. About 1.5 blocks from the metro (about 8 min walk), this hotel was perfect for what we needed. It’s about 15 walk from the famous pedestrian street and other popular sights/ restaurants that you may want to visit as well. The room was extremely comfortable with everything you’d need. Our room faced the main road but the sound proofing was fantastic and you didn’t hear anything. While they offer laundry on-site, you actually just pass the laundry to them and they’ll return it you within 4 hours. Everything was very clean and the daily cleaning staff was great! The staff were fantastic, helpful in every way. When we arrived there was no record of our pre-paid reservation. They immediately called Trip to sort it out and checked us in quite quickly. I would stay at this hotel again the next time we come to Changsha!

GGuest UserThis trip in Changsha was particularly comfortable because I chose the right homestay! The location is really great. It is near Huangxing Square and a few minutes' walk to the subway station. It is very convenient to go shopping and eating in Pozi Street and IFS. You can also take a walk to see the night view of Xiangjiang River at night. The room is surprisingly clean, the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and even the corners are spotless. The facilities are very new, the air conditioner cools quickly, and there is plenty of hot water. What I want to praise most is the staff, who are very considerate from check-in to check-out. Inform the route in advance, help with luggage, and recommend a Hunan restaurant frequented by locals. The responsive attitude makes people feel like home. The decoration is simple and a little retro, and the photos are very good. It is comfortable and stylish to live. I will choose here next time I come to Changsha!

Ttommy8882The InterContinental Changsha North Star is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Changsha. On this business trip, right after I checked in, I encountered a TV singing show's production crew departing. The hotel's internal management is excellent; even with several celebrities coming and going, order was maintained impeccably! A quick note: I'm not a celebrity chaser; I just happened to snap a photo. My true admiration is reserved for our brave servicemen and women! The front desk staff (pictured) were extremely professional, proactively communicating about my stay and even asking about my floor preference to ensure a comfortable room assignment. Highly impressed! 👍 The hotel's surroundings boast attractions such as the Changsha Museum, Changsha Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, and Changsha Concert Hall. Moreover, the Xiangjiang River Greenway is right outside the hotel, offering fantastic riverside jogging opportunities. Definitely a highly recommended hotel!

RRuoruoyeThis is my first time experiencing such a smart, automated hotel service. From the self-service check-in with ID upon entering, to using the key card to access the upper floors, and then scanning a QR code to access 100 different in-stay amenities – it's all so convenient. They already provide facial cleanser and makeup remover wipes, which is great, but I was surprised they even offer disposable underwear and nail clippers! They really anticipate your every need and provide whatever you might want. The best part is, for a hotel that costs only 100 per person, they also provide breakfast and an evening congee, plus two complimentary cocktails! The whole stay felt like a home away from home, and the experience was truly excellent.

YYas_miniBook a review view the view was exceptional. The breakfast was lacklustre and just not up to standard. The room was decent and cleaning could be better. As well as general Maintenance of the room. The daily housekeeping was none existent. All that was done was bed somewhat neatened and towels refreshed and water provided. No cleaning of anything else was done which was highly disappointing for a 4star hotel. We also kept on running out of toilet paper. Requesting amenities on xiaodu was pointless cause they never arrived.

GGuest UserThe owner is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room rates are very reasonable, and the place is clean. They even offer airport drop-off service, which is a huge convenience! On my previous visit, my flight was significantly delayed, and I couldn't confirm my exact arrival time. Yet, the owner kindly waited up for me until 3 AM! This is my second stay here, and I'll definitely be back!
