AAnonymous UserWe stayed here for a few nights during Chinese New Year with our family, and overall it was a very warm and comfortable experience.
The butler team, especially April, meticulously tracked our needs and preferences, expertly arranging our room and attending to small details throughout our stay. When we were in our room, the housekeeping staff tried their best to quickly tidy up without disturbing us. Bonnie at the Yanting restaurant carefully observed our needs during our meals, and the Korean gentleman at Vicini recommended a pizza that was absolutely delicious! He also shared many interesting stories behind the dishes, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable (dinner at Vicini was superb).
A truly delightful surprise during our stay was the gold leaf painting class taught by Mr. Jerry Li. This was part of the Chinese New Year activities, and not only was his explanation detailed, but he also took a family photo for us and presented it in a frame. What a wonderful surprise!
Genuine service truly wins! We'll definitely be back to experience it again in different seasons.

Wwfr0123I spent a long time choosing this room, and after checking in, I truly felt like I made the right choice 🥰🥰. The front desk staff were also very enthusiastic; when I checked in and saw a crowd, they guided me to an adjacent counter to process my check-in 🫰. The hotel facilities are relatively new and all feature smart technology. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and it's spacious with two sinks. The faucet water flow is very quiet, with no strange noises. The room design is excellent and the layout is well-planned, with thoughtful touches everywhere 😘😘. Coffee and tea are neatly arranged in separate drawers, and there's even a mini-bar cart. I highly recommend it. The hotel offers a shuttle service to Universal Studios, and you can even see Harry Potter from the hotel.

JJinganheleFirst off, I want to commend the front desk, the bellhops, and the housekeeping staff – they were all incredibly attentive and responsive. They even surprised me with a tiramisu cake for my birthday, which I really appreciate. On the downside, the facilities are showing their age. For example, in room 2025, the bathtub caddy kept popping open on its own. The first time, after my bath, I almost scraped my leg on it. I’d push it back in, and it would just pop open again. I understand that after so many years, wear and tear is normal, but maintenance really needs to address these issues promptly. Also, the doormen outside are a few middle-aged men with large bellies; you can tell they wouldn’t be much help with heavy luggage, and they’re not very observant either – they won’t come over unless you wave them down. Lastly, the tea provided in the room feels a bit cheap. It would be much better if it were all Twinings.

GGuest UserThe bedding was super comfortable. It was very thoughtful of them to offer two extra days of free breakfast for our child who is under 1.2 meters, and they even extended our check-out by an hour. Our whole family had a wonderful stay. The executive lounge was very convenient; the food wasn't too heavily flavored and there was plenty of fruit, which was perfect for our little one's meals. We'll definitely be back. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, the succulents were beautiful! Plus, the window seats in the lounge offer a stunning view of the Forbidden City.

Zzqshining1. We stayed here during the Spring Festival. Two families booked a two-bedroom apartment, and on New Year's Eve, we gathered in the living room to watch the Spring Festival Gala and play games, which the kids absolutely loved.
2. Getting a taxi to and from the city center was convenient, and there's a Siji Minfu restaurant right across the street.
3. Breakfast could be ordered as takeout, and there were plenty of options.
4. Although the apartment building is a bit older, it's well-maintained overall.
5. Having a kitchen, washing machine, refrigerator, and microwave made our stay incredibly convenient.

Very Good
MMaria.ezI usually struggle to feel comfortable in hotels because I’m very much a “homey” person, but this place truly made me feel at home. The first thing that hits you is the size – the square meters are crazy. I’ve never stayed in such a huge apartment before, and it has a real wow-effect.
The apartment has absolutely everything – dishwasher, plates, knives, bottle opener, you name it. I also really liked the shampoos and conditioners, which are much better quality than what you usually find in hotels. The bathroom is spacious, the design is lovely, and everything feels high quality – from the washing machine down to the shower gel.
The swimming pool and breakfast were also very enjoyable.
That said, there were a couple of downsides. The place is so big that the cleaning isn’t always perfect – we noticed some signs of missed cleaning, and unfortunately we even saw a cockroach in the kitchen. I also noticed that the kitchen staff didn’t wear hats or hair restraints, which was a bit off-putting.
Location-wise, it’s far from tourist attractions and the subway – it took us about 40 minutes by taxi to get to the Forbidden City.
Still, despite these issues, this is a wonderful place to stay. I fell in love with the Ascott chain and would definitely stay here again next time. Highly recommended!
WWenwenwenshengThis hotel has the classic charm of an older establishment. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are incredibly well-maintained, clean, and perfectly functional. The room amenities are also very comprehensive. The high-floor views are expansive, and the breakfast was delicious.
GGermaine Low- All of us liked the location of this hotel. It's relatively central to everywhere we were going to. With the good weather, we sometimes talk long walks back to the hotel instead of taking a taxi back.
- Size of the room is decent and pretty clean.
- Didn't realized that the Family Room was having a design with sort of a see-through shower area. Called their housekeeping team and they quickly came over to put up a
white cloth over at the corner. Housekeeping team were quick on this.
- the AC weren't really turned on (I think they turned off the centralised one). When I called Housekeeping, she said it was already turned on. Nevertheless, they managed to bring one air cooler over. I'm someone who doesn't sleep with ac but the room was really stuffy without the ac bring turned on. There was the option of opening the window but the cleaner did raised that there would be mosquitoes. I saw two on my bed and never dared to open the window since.
- I wanted to request for an extra pillow. Saw the cleaner outside the room and we requested for one. However, she told us to call Housekeeping instead (maybe coz I was from hotel line before, we were told to relay message to the relevant dept instead of getting guests to do so). I called housekeeping later that night around 11pm but no one picked up the call.
- Buffet spread was ok but I think they were a bit understaffed. Service level varies for all four mornings.
For the amount of money we have paid for the room, we were expecting a little more service. Still a relatively decent hotel overall but I might try some other hotels in another location instead.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe environment at the Commune is fantastic, with birds chirping, flowers blooming, and fresh air. The rooms are quite spacious, and although the facilities are a bit dated, they are clean and tidy (just a heads-up, the air conditioning can be a bit noisy when set to heat at a higher temperature). The hotel service is excellent; they even have an MPV shuttle if it rains. The restaurant food was surprisingly good, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options. There are also activities like ball courts, ATVs, and hiking available. It's very conveniently located, just a five-minute drive from the Badaling Shuiguan Great Wall!

GGuest UserCleanliness: Good.
Service: Pretty good.
Environment: The room was quite spacious, but the view from the lower floor wasn't great.
Facilities: The breakfast had a good variety, but it was very crowded, and finding a seat was a bit difficult. There weren't enough power outlets in the room. The shower water temperature wasn't hot enough, reaching only about 38 degrees Celsius, and it couldn't be adjusted higher.
The hotel is located in a commercial area with large shopping malls nearby, so the surroundings are nice and convenient.
