Hhwee yin LeeThis hotel has a charming, vintage feel. It's not huge, but it's well-equipped and conveniently located very close to the pedestrian street.
They offer a laundry room, a gym, a complimentary afternoon tea, and a delicious, plentiful breakfast daily. After 4 PM, they even provide a service to help guests transport their luggage to the airport or high-speed train station.
The front desk staff are friendly and even assist with washing and drying clothes.
There are two things I was unhappy with. Firstly, the hotel entrance isn't very prominent and was a bit hard to find. It's located down an alley, so taxis have to drop you off on the main road across the street.
Secondly, people were smoking by the stairwell. There shouldn't be a trash can placed at the stairwell next to the rooms, as guests just stand there to smoke. For someone who recently had heart surgery, having cigarette smoke drift into the room every night is genuinely harmful to health.
Although there's a sign on the sixth floor indicating that guests can go to the balcony outside the lobby to smoke, I don't think guests will bother going to the lobby balcony when there's a trash can right by the stairwell near their rooms for cigarette butts.
If they could slightly improve the smoking issue and clearly explain the taxi pick-up location, this hotel would still offer excellent value for money.

I was initially drawn in by the photos of the hotel's ambiance, and it's even more beautiful in person! It's got that old-money charm, and it's super photogenic. It actually used to be a bank!
The rooms inside are also well-designed with separate wet and dry areas. The decor is incredibly stylish!
They even deliver your freshly laundered clothes right to your room – a really nice touch!
Anyone with good taste would choose this tasteful hotel.
Location: It's right at the entrance to the Taiping Street scenic area. Just look for the three characters 'Taiping Li' and head down that small alleyway!
The automatic door at the entrance has a really grand feel to it, too~

GGuest UserGetting to Orange Isle is super convenient; you can either walk across Xiangjiang Bridge or take the subway just one stop. It's also only about 3 stops to downtown areas like Wuyi Square.
Environment: The surrounding area is a bit so-so, with a few construction sites, but it's very quiet.
Service and hygiene were both excellent, making me feel right at home.

GGuest UserThe hotel butler contacted us a day in advance to ask if we had any special requests for the room. They tried their best to accommodate all our needs, arranging rooms on the same floor. The room itself was quite spacious, featuring a bathtub, sofa, and refrigerator, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom and a good showerhead. There was a slight incident at the restaurant on check-out day regarding my child's breakfast, which was handled a bit too seriously. However, after I reported it to the butler, it was promptly resolved, so overall, it was still a good experience.

Very nicely furnished hotel in a very central area. One of the comfiest if not the comfiest bed I have ever slept in.
Great amenities with a mini bar that was replenished with each cleaning and a good hair dryer (which is so important).
Good value!
The only real issues I could mention were the toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner) were named in Chinese and had random, non-indicative English names, so I had to translate to actually pick the correct item. I totally understand why this is the case, but maybe it is worth mentioning for the hotel. The mini fridge just didn’t cool anything, and was more just a cupboard. And only one toilet roll was given at a time, which was not ideal given I was ill throughout my stay. These are all minor issues and certainly don’t detract from my stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Changsha's central business district, making it super convenient for getting around, shopping, and dining. When we checked in, the front desk staff were incredibly warm, professional, and attentive. They not only patiently answered all our questions but also proactively suggested nearby attractions and local specialty foods, which we really appreciated.
A special thank you to the hotel for the complimentary room upgrade! Our room was spacious and bright with expansive views, offering a wonderful panorama of Changsha's bustling city. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a very quiet night's sleep. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, and both the toiletries and other amenities were of high quality.
Throughout our entire stay, the staff consistently maintained a warm and friendly service attitude. Any requests were handled promptly, making us feel right at home. I highly recommend this hotel for both business trips and leisure travel. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Changsha and will recommend it to all my friends!

Bblackcupcake999Good location close to both the international convention and exhibition centre and the train station. The hotel is also located in a new, clean and beautiful area: looking across a green scenery and sport field but in a seperate lot to ensure a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The facility is modern and very clean so it gives you an impression of high-end hotel but the price is surprisingly a bargain compared to others. It may be a little away from Changsha city centre but the price makes up for it. Furthermore it’s close to the airport, train station and also very easy to book taxi to go every where.
The room is spacious, clean and tidy with all the amenities and convenience you will need. The king bed is comfortable and the atmosphere is quiet and nice so I had plenty of good night sleeps. There is also an option of converting the sofa into an extra bed at no fee but I didn’t need it.
On the 1st floor there is a small supermarket where you can find most of the common stuff and snacks. Next door there are a few restaurants if you are too lazy to go out.
Moreover, amazing customer services, the staff were polite, helpful and the checking in was quick and easy!
Changsha was stormy the day of my flight and there was difficulty getting a taxi to go to the airport because some roads were flooded. The hotel staff just noticed me sitting and waiting then offered to help getting me to the airport. Luckily if it wasn’t for the assistance of the hotel staff and the relatively closeness of the hotel to Changsha airport, I would not have made it to the airport in time for my flight.
All in all, 5/5 ratings and compliments from me to this hotel and the staff!!
