"I booked this hotel for its stunning river views, and I'm happy to say it completely exceeded my expectations – no regrets at all! The floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony offer unobstructed views directly onto the beautiful landscapes of the Yulong River. The natural light during the day is lovely, and it's so relaxing to sit on the balcony and enjoy the breeze in the evening. The room itself was clean and tidy, and the bedding was very comfortable. The service was excellent, and both check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free."

"I randomly picked the Seasons Cloud Hotel for my vacation in Guilin Yangshuo, and it exceeded all my expectations! It's such a peaceful retreat in the heart of the bustling town.
The floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows in the room offer direct views of the karst peaks; you can enjoy the mountain scenery and misty clouds right from your bed. The soaking tub with a mountain view creates an incredibly atmospheric bathing experience. The entire room is spotless and has a light luxury feel, with thoughtful details and amenities.
The infinity pool, a popular photo spot, is nestled among the mountains, making every picture look like it's from a luxury resort advertisement.
The amenities are fantastic: check-in includes a complimentary afternoon tea, and the breakfast features freshly made, authentic Guilin rice noodles. "Me and my daughter had a great experience at the Li Yu Hotel in Yangshuo. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they speak English, which is great. Our room was spacious, quiet, and spotless—brand new and nicely decorated. The towels and sheets were top-quality, as were the furniture and decor. We rented scooters right at the hotel, which was a plus. There are laundry machines you can use for free. It’s in a great location—you can walk to the town center. There are plenty of restaurants and markets nearby. Very good—I highly recommend it!"

"New hotel with great modern comforts. Supreme location and even better service. Rooms are futuristic, equipped met voice-controlled AI that operates lighting, windows and more. Rooms are small, but compact and comfortable, providing five-star amenities and service in a locale that has limited logistical support for true modern luxury. As a result, one of the nicest boutique stays during my trip in China. Service is really the big star here: from check-in to meals, laundry and help booking activities, the hotel's human touch and concierge service (also available via WeChat) is absolutely fantastic. From daily things like helping us with laundry and heating meals, as well travel highlights like helping to book great activities at good prices. Friendly, helpful and kind, every moment with the hotel staff they've gone above and beyond to provide an amazing experience. Special recommendation to book the traditional night fishing activity, which was really a unique experience. Hotel also runs a small restaurant close-by which serves amazing local home-cooked food at decent prices, really worth trying some time. Breakfast buffet is also simple, nutritional and great tasting. Moreover, amenities are comprehensive, extras are conveniently grabbed from reception, there's a convenience store open late downstairs and a coffee shop open early in the morning, in the same building. Did I mention amazing location? Right at the Xingping warf, with the higher level rooms overlooking the legendary 20 Yuan-bill-panorama from the room window. Rooms have balconies, baths, really nice. 15 minutes walk from everything, including the ancient town shopping and food streets, as well as all major sights. Literally 1 minute from the ferry across the river, from where you can grab Didi's to explore the other side of the area (don't taxi all the way around, just ferry and didi after). Again, amazing hotel, 100% recommended if you want to stay outside of overly touristy Yangshuo."

Different room types have their own characteristics, whether it's a king size bed room suitable for couples or a parent-child room that meets family needs, they are all decorated with great care. The veil gently hangs down, paired with fresh decorations, and every detail exudes delicacy. The bedding is made of high-quality fabric that is soft and skin friendly, making it feel like being wrapped in clouds when lying down. It can relieve a day's fatigue and provide a good night's sleep. Pushing open the window, the natural scenery of the 100 acre field comes into view without reservation. The lush greenery makes people feel at ease, and the photo here comes with a gentle filter, making every snap a stunning picture. The coffee shop is a healing corner in the homestay, and as soon as you walk in, the rich aroma of coffee hits your face. Not only is there a classic hand brewed coffee here, but there are also various options such as latte, cappuccino, etc. The afternoon sun shines through the glass window, and sitting in a comfortable seat, enjoying the scenery outside the window, is extremely comfortable, making it a great choice for rest and relaxation. The leisure facilities of the homestay are also very complete. The water quality of the swimming pool is clear, surrounded by green trees. "The environment speaks for itself, just look at the pictures. It's definitely worth it; I had a very comfortable stay for several days. The view from the window was absolutely stunning. No need to go out, perfect for anyone looking for a hotel to just relax and unwind.
The service was excellent, and there's a cafe on the ground floor where guests get a 10% discount. Even though it's a hotel coffee shop, the coffee is delicious! They also have Whiskey Sours, so you can enjoy a drink in the evening. They really pay attention to the details in their service, and I noticed they're quite meticulous about the public areas, which is really important. Some hotels don't focus enough on the design of their ground-floor common spaces."

"I chose to stay at Yangshuo Mountain Retreat largely because of the owner, Little Fish. What stood out to me before booking was how she takes the time to personally respond to every single review. That level of care and pride in the property really came through—and it is fully reflected in the guest experience.
I stayed in Room 207, which offered a perfect vantage point of the Yulong River. I spent hours on the balcony simply watching bamboo rafts drift past against the dramatic karst mountains—it was incredibly peaceful and almost meditative.
The retreat itself feels authentic and deeply rooted in the local community. It is entirely run by people from nearby villages, with over 90% of the team being women. Much of the food is sourced directly from the families of the staff who have farms, which makes the entire experience feel personal and sustainable.
What impressed me further was hearing from local Didi drivers, who also spoke very highly of the resort. They shared that many of the staff have been there for years, a testament to how well the owner treats her team. It’s clear that Little Fish sees them as family—taking them on holidays and ensuring they are well looked after. That kind of culture is rare and truly shows in the warmth of the service.
With only 34 rooms, the property feels wonderfully intimate and quiet—ideal if you’re looking to disconnect. The setting is nothing short of spectacular, with uninterrupted views of one of the most beautiful stretches of the Yulong River.
The food also deserves special mention. Both the Chinese and Western options were excellent, and we ended up having all our meals at the hotel. Portions were generous, and when we couldn’t finish the famous Bamboo Chicken, the staff kindly offered to keep it for our next meal—a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects their hospitality.
Overall, this is far more than just a place to stay. It’s an experience built on genuine care, community, and natural beauty. I would return without hesitation"

If you demand a high level of service, our guests have indicated that this hotel has excellent standards. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.
"Large room for 4 pp. Many electrical outlets. Bright and clean laminate wood floor. Mattress is good, not too hard, not too soft. Bath is large with all convenience (shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, large bath towel) and seating toilet (not squatting type, this is my premium concern) as well as half glass wall separating the shower from the rest. Bathroom has suffcated smell but it's gone when the small window is open. Staff is very helpful and nice. Electric scooter is rented out for 20 RMB/day which is very convenient to scout around the area and for dining out. Last but not least, the room rate is very competitive on Trip.com. I plan to come back here to stay at least 2 nights to visit whole area as I encounted the rain the whole time I came here. Hotel is located in a large corher of the street with easy car access. Highly recommended."

"Traveling to Yangshuo with my child, I compared many hotels before finally settling on this Rice Field Hotel, and I truly felt I made the right choice!
The distance from West Street actually became an advantage. It's quiet and peaceful, not noisy at all, offering great privacy. Looking out, all you see are rice fields and small mountains – the view is incredibly soothing.
The room has a large floor-to-ceiling window, so you can enjoy the mountain and river views right from your bed. I absolutely loved the scenic bathtub in the bathroom; a bath at night with a gentle breeze was so relaxing. The cleanliness was impeccable; there wasn't a speck of dust on the floor or in the corners of the bed. The bed was super soft, ensuring both adults and children slept soundly.
Families with kids, just go for it! The hotel has an infinity pool with a shallow area, and my child splashed around there all afternoon and didn't want to leave. There's also a mirrored observation deck on the rooftop, perfect for spontaneous, picture-perfect family photos. Just a few steps outside are vast rice fields and a charming old-fashioned miniature train. Taking the kids to walk along the field paths and look at the greenery, getting close to nature, was much more enjoyable than visiting crowded tourist spots.
The butler was very helpful and responsive; they'd come right away if we needed anything. The Guilin rice noodles for breakfast were authentic and delicious. Overall, our entire stay was comfortable and worry-free. No need to rush around or deal with travel hassles. If you want a quiet and relaxing vacation with your child, this place is a no-brainer! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yangshuo."
