LLizileeFirstly, the location is excellent. It's right in the scenic area, where the Li River is at its most beautiful, offering truly stunning views. The Li River is directly opposite, and downstairs you'll find electric scooter rentals. Across the street are a charging station and the hotel's parking lot. The bamboo raftćźćľ (rafting) starting point is just a short walk down from the roadside.
Secondly, the hotel's decor is incredibly tasteful, modern, relaxing, and comfortable. They have a 'Sky Mirror' (infinity pool/reflective surface), a garden, and a swimming pool.
Thirdly, the service is comprehensive. They offer afternoon tea with various Guangxi small snacks. For breakfast, the auntie makes delicious Guilin rice noodles served with roasted pork belly â I practically inhaled two bowls! When you return in the evening, there's supper: dumplings, tremella soup, and osmanthus glutinous rice balls.
Right next door are the highly-rated beer fish and freshly roasted kiln chicken from Dazhong Dianping (a popular review site).
It was a very comfortable trip~~~

From the moment I got out of the car and they helped with my luggage, I could feel the attentive, butler-style service. The front desk lady was incredibly sweet; she not only helped me plan my itinerary but also recommended some amazing local restaurants â absolutely no duds! The welcome fruit upon check-in and the sweet soup at night were really a nice touch, making me feel right at home. The guesthouse's location is perfect â quiet yet convenient for getting around, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Next time I bring my family, I'll definitely choose this place again!

GGuest UserThe view from Room 01 in Building 6 is absolutely stunning, with expansive vistas. I found myself wanting to stay in the hotel all day! The service was excellent; the butler would inform us daily about activities and snacks, and even helped deliver takeout to our room. It's newly renovated, so the room environment is great, with smart facilities and excellent hygiene. The location isn't its strongest point, as there aren't many food options nearby, but getting around by taxi is actually quite convenient. It's only about a fifteen-minute drive to West Street, making dinner plans easy. Breakfast was average â nothing special, but no complaints either. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended! Oh, and a big plus: the hotel didn't push for good reviews in exchange for gifts at checkout.

It was a near-perfect stay. If I had to use one word to describe Yuet Villa, it would be âthoughtful.â From the communication after booking to waving us goodbye upon departure, every detail showed immense care. Upon check-in, the front desk lady even upgraded our room.
First, the experiences were top-notch:
¡ Private hot spring bath: The water temperature was perfect, and the privacy was excellent. Soaking away fatigue in the steamy water was an absolute luxury.
¡ Evening barbecue: Also a perfect score! The ingredients were fresh, and the food tasted great. Enjoying a meal under the stars at night created an incredible atmosphere.
Secondly, and most importantly, the service was exemplary:
This is the best service attitude I've encountered in all the hotels I've stayed in. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and a polite hello, which made us feel very comfortable. What touched me most was the seamless service from check-in to check-out. The driver was enthusiastic and considerate, and when we left, he thoughtfully helped us load all our luggage into the car. This level of respect and attentiveness is truly rare.
In summary, Yuet Villa not only has excellent facilities, but its soft service truly touched my heart. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality and warm service. I will definitely stay here again next time!

SSportsfreundchenWe loved our stay here. The communication beforehand was a bit tricky via email - so the easiest way is to use WeChat instead. But when we arrived, we had a wonderful few days. We got picked up at the train station in Guilin. Shoutout to the friendly staff at the lodge, especially Cherry and Sally who were always kind and attentive. We can recommend to get a scooter or a bike and explore the village. Especially around public holidays there is lots of traffic, so travelling by car can take a long time. Try out the massage or the cooking class offered by the hotel. Communication in English was always very easy compared to other places in China. Payment with Visa Card is also possible at the lodge.

First things first: More than just accommodation, it's a destination.
Yangshuo boasts countless hotels, but Jiyun Shangyuan is an utterly underrated 'heavenly guesthouse'. This stay offered a complete cure for the senses â visual, taste, and soul. Itâs truly a perfect hotel with no flaws!
Reason for a perfect score one: Divine views that 'frame' the karst landscape into your room.
The hotel is located in the heart of the Ten-Mile Gallery, far from the hustle and bustle of West Street, enjoying its own tranquil space.
Our room featured a floor-to-ceiling glass window spanning an entire wall. Honestly, photos don't capture even a tenth of its beauty! The misty green hills of the Yulong River unfold before you like a dynamic IMAX movie. It truly lives up to 'open the window to a view, sleep under the moon, and wake with the sunrise'. Lying in bed gazing at the mountains and waters, or watching stars from the balcony bathtub â this ultimate sense of relaxation is something no other scenic spot along the Li River can offer.
Reason for a perfect score two: Heartfelt service that treats guests like 'family'.
The service here could easily be a textbook example for the industry. If 10 is a perfect score, I'd give it 100 points.
From the butler's proactive contact after booking to the warm reception upon arrival, the entire process was smiling and efficient. When the Li River was flooding, the butler constantly reminded us to be safe. When our child wanted local fruit, the butler thoughtfully provided some. After playing in the water, our clothes got wet, and there's a self-service laundry room. We even forgot our clothes in the laundry, and the butler kindly delivered them to our room. This feeling of 'everything is handled, every need is met' is truly more touching than the standardized service of a five-star hotel.
Reason for a perfect score three: Culinary delights and high-end amenities.
Regarding dining, the Chinese breakfast offered authentic Guilin rice noodles, while the Western breakfast perfectly blended with Lipu taro and pumpkin. The afternoon tea was exquisite, and the coffee at Cloud Restaurant was top-notch, with the Basque cheesecake being unforgettable. The lighting in the restaurant also helps for great photos.
In terms of amenities, the hotel spared no expense: King Koil mattresses, Kohler sanitary ware, Dyson hairdryers, and even a thoughtful self-service laundry room. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, showing attention to detail. It offers the warmth of a guesthouse while maintaining five-star hotel hardware standards.
Reason for a perfect score four: Immersive local cultural experiences.
This place isn't just selling scenery; it's dedicated to sharing culture. The hotel is filled with Zhuang elements. Beyond beautiful decor, you can also enjoy free photo shoots in traditional Zhuang attire. Against the backdrop of the infinity pool and the mountains, every shot looks like a magazine cover.
Furthermore, activities like hand-sewing embroidered balls and making oil tea kept both adults and children engaged. Families with kids don't need to worry about boredom, as the children's playground and pool are enough to tire out the little 'beasts'.
Final thoughts: We'll be back.
Our stay happened during heavy rain, but after the rain cleared, the scenery was even more beautiful. Regardless of the weather, Jiyun possesses a different charm. We even felt a little reluctant to leave. Just like its name suggests, there's an ethereal, otherworldly quality here, yet it's filled with the warmth of home.
If you come to Yangshuo, you must 'waste' your time at Jiyun Shangyuan.
Tips:
¡ We recommend booking a panoramic room type or a family room for the best views.
¡ Definitely try the hotel's electric bicycle rental; the Ten-Mile Gallery is right at the doorstep.
¡ The hotel is very close to the Yulong River rafting (Shuidi section), within walking distance, which is very convenient.

GGuest UserFirstly the location is spectacular, which is the main reason we booked. The view from the room was really beautiful and it was easy enough to get to the old town by boat. Secondly the owner was so lovely and helpful and helped us organise many activities, and even accompanied us on a few. The staff are very responsive and helpful on wechat and helped us organise activities and meals. The dog was also a big highlight for our kids, especially my daughter who even cried about leaving him. The terrace is lovely too and has an amazing view. The meals cooked for us were very nice, and breakfast was adequate. The room is ok, a bit basic but met our needs. The only complaint I have is that the rooms are not sound proof, and therefore you hear every sound in the corridor and stairs. We travelled with young children who go to bed early and they struggled to fall asleep with the noise of kids running, playing and screaming in the hallway. It may not be an issue for those going to sleep later, but for us it was tough. The staff however did respond to our feedback and asked the kids to be quiet, but you do still hear people moving around outside. Overall I would recommend.

XXianglachenpiI was pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to a garden room. The room was clean and tidy. The village retains both traditional elements and modern design. I loved the pool and restaurant. The pool is shaded, so I'm not afraid of the sun. The surrounding banana leaves create a particularly elegant backdrop. Just taking a dip felt like a relaxing vacation. The restaurant's food was above and beyond what you'd find at a typical B&B. The outdoor movie was also very enjoyable. The service was excellent. Every staff member greeted me warmly and offered their services proactively. I'd definitely stay there again.
