Guest User📍Yangshuo – So 'city' staying inside the 20 RMB banknote with the kids!
Ever since I became a mom, traveling has been all about avoiding hassle. This time, I brought my one-year-old to Yangshuo and discovered this hidden gem of a guesthouse in Xingping Ancient Town – Li Hua Chen's Garden. It was so worry-free, I nearly cried tears of joy! @Yangshuo Chen's Garden Resort Hotel
📍Perfect Location, No Stress with Kids
The guesthouse is right in the core scenic area where the 20 RMB banknote backdrop is, built alongside the river, directly facing the Li River. A few steps downstairs take you to the bamboo raft boarding point, and exploring Xingping Ancient Town is super convenient. Open the window, and you're greeted by the picturesque Li River landscape. We could enjoy the mountains and rivers from our room with the baby, avoiding the crowds.
🏠Comfortable Room, Perfect Details
The room came equipped with a Dyson hairdryer and a smart toilet. The mattress was a King Koil, and the pillows were white goose down – incredibly comfortable. There was also a clean, dreamy bathtub with milk bath salts. After the baby was asleep, I could soak in the tub and enjoy the mountain view, letting all the fatigue melt away!
📸Sky Mirror, Instant Blockbuster Shots
The Sky Mirror on the 5th floor is a must-visit spot! The reflections of the mountains and rivers are as beautiful as a fairyland, making every shot a masterpiece. There's also a pool and garden on the first floor, and the baby had a blast playing in the yard.
💁♀️Attentive Service, Like Coming Home
The service was absolutely impeccable! Not only did they offer free breakfast and afternoon tea, but also thoughtful late-night snacks. The staff were incredibly patient with my baby. They even brought me a pot of tea when they saw me organizing photos, and sent us off warmly when we checked out.
Choosing the right accommodation is so crucial when traveling with kids, and this place is definitely the ultimate family-friendly spot in Yangshuo! While the baby is still young, let's show him more of this world 🌿

Guest UserThe best decision I made on this trip to Yangshuo was staying at Su She. From the moment I got out of the car and they helped with my luggage, I could feel the attentive, butler-style service. The front desk lady was incredibly sweet; she not only helped me plan my itinerary but also recommended some amazing local restaurants – absolutely no duds! The welcome fruit upon check-in and the sweet soup at night were really a nice touch, making me feel right at home. The guesthouse's location is perfect – quiet yet convenient for getting around, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Next time I bring my family, I'll definitely choose this place again!

Guest User⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Full marks for Ji Yun Shang Yuan! Choosing the right guesthouse for our Yangshuo trip really enhanced the entire experience.
The hotel's courtyard is spacious and beautifully decorated. It has its own exclusive restaurant, where we had dinner for three consecutive nights. We pre-ordered our meals, and the chef would prepare the ingredients in advance, so we just had to come down at the agreed time to enjoy our food. The dishes were excellent, and our child loved every meal. Breakfast offers both Chinese and Western options, and the taste is also very good.
What truly stood out was the thoughtful and personalized breakfast service: the hotel's regular breakfast starts at 8 AM, but if you need to leave early for an excursion or to catch a high-speed train, you can communicate in advance, and the hotel will prepare your breakfast, even packing it for you to take away. This is incredibly friendly for travelers.
Butler service was super responsive; any questions we had were answered instantly. The service was attentive and thoughtful, making us feel truly at home and ensuring a worry-free trip.
The room's view and scenery were simply stunning. Drawing back the curtains in the morning, we could admire the sunrise over the mountains and rivers. The real-life scene is far more breathtaking than any photo; pictures can't even capture a tenth of the beauty seen with the naked eye. The room was well-equipped, with all toiletries provided free of charge, including a high-quality wooden comb and comfortable cotton-linen slippers. We also received complimentary welcome fruits, tea, and snacks – full of thoughtful details.
The hotel's amenities are extensive, with various board games for leisure and free bicycle rentals, making it convenient to cycle around the nearby rice fields. There's also a laundry room, showing that every aspect of our stay, from food to accommodation and travel, was carefully considered.

Anonymous UserThe floor-to-ceiling window in the room offered an absolutely stunning view. Opening the window revealed the green mountains and the Yulong River, making for incredible photos.
I specifically chose this hotel for the window view and the swimming pool, and my child absolutely loved it upon arrival.
**Environment:** A thousand square meters of lawn plus an infinity pool. The mountain-and-water themed blue pool was perfect for amazing pictures.
**Activities:** Free-roaming deer, daily cormorant fishing performances, lacquer fan making, and petting zoo feeding.
**Food & Stay:** With its own restaurant, we spent the whole day at the hotel and didn't bother eating out. The hotel food was also excellent, and they even offered free sweet soup in the evening.
It was a welcome escape from the noise of crowded guesthouses. The hotel buildings were well-equipped, and the soft furnishings, with their wooden and Instagrammable style, were top-notch.
There was no need to rush. We spent the whole day leisurely, relaxing on the lawn, playing in the pool, and feeding the deer. It felt like many hotels and cafes in Yangshuo have great aesthetics, and the scenery is beautiful, but the street aesthetics are truly dismal.
This was my child's first travel photoshoot. Usually, they refuse to be photographed, but the Miao ethnic costumes for the photoshoot at the hotel were beautiful and relatively clean, so we were able to get some great shots right there. Thumbs up! The shoot was quick, which was great since it was hot, allowing us to quickly get our photos and head back to the hotel for coffee.

This guesthouse was so healing! Right outside the door were vast fields of rapeseed flowers, which the host told me they planted themselves, one by one. The room balcony offered views of both the mountains and the river, and the whole place was stylishly decorated with solid wood. In winter, they light the fireplace morning and evening, creating a wonderful ambiance. The breakfast was incredibly delicious too. I'll definitely come back again!

ZekaiExceeded expectations! Choosing this guesthouse was absolutely worth it!
The front desk lady was very enthusiastic and showed us to our room, explaining all the facilities. The room was spacious and even had mountain spring water to drink. The only, only downside is that it's a bit far from Yangshuo town, but the guesthouse offers a shuttle service, so it's manageable. It was great. I'd definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Yangshuo!

Guest UserFirstly the location is spectacular, which is the main reason we booked. The view from the room was really beautiful and it was easy enough to get to the old town by boat. Secondly the owner was so lovely and helpful and helped us organise many activities, and even accompanied us on a few. The staff are very responsive and helpful on wechat and helped us organise activities and meals. The dog was also a big highlight for our kids, especially my daughter who even cried about leaving him. The terrace is lovely too and has an amazing view. The meals cooked for us were very nice, and breakfast was adequate. The room is ok, a bit basic but met our needs. The only complaint I have is that the rooms are not sound proof, and therefore you hear every sound in the corridor and stairs. We travelled with young children who go to bed early and they struggled to fall asleep with the noise of kids running, playing and screaming in the hallway. It may not be an issue for those going to sleep later, but for us it was tough. The staff however did respond to our feedback and asked the kids to be quiet, but you do still hear people moving around outside. Overall I would recommend.

Anonymous UserThis is the most satisfying Zen-style hotel I've stayed at in Yangshuo! Nestled by mountains and rivers, it offers stunning, immersive views directly facing the Yulong River and its picturesque peaks. Looking out at the lotus pond is incredibly refreshing and perfect for photos! The room was clean and elegant, with a comfortable and serene Zen-inspired decor. The facilities were complete, and the soundproofing was excellent. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, and breakfast was nutritious and fresh. The hotel boasts a swimming pool, a scenic tea room, and even wellness experience programs. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the bustle, making it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Yangshuo!

Jess and familyUnbeatable location, but seriously disappointing when things went wrong
Let's start with the biggest win: this hotel is smack-dab in the middle of absolutely everything! You literally cannot ask for a better spot – walking distance to all the main attractions, restaurants, and transport. For location, it gets a perfect 10/10.
Now for the tough part. We had the really bad luck that the hotel experienced a major water supply issue during our stay. And I mean major – we couldn't use the toilet, take a shower, or even wash our hands. For any traveler, that's a complete nightmare and honestly unacceptable for a hotel stay.
To give them some credit, the hotel did try to smooth things over by offering our entire family free breakfast as compensation. While the gesture was nice, I have to be blunt: free breakfast just doesn't cut it when you can't perform basic daily necessities. For the level of inconvenience we endured – not being able to shower or flush the toilet – the hotel should have offered a much more appropriate solution, such as a partial refund for the affected night(s).
My verdict?
Book this place for the incredible location – you won't beat it. But my strong advice is: if anything major goes wrong during your stay, don't settle for a free meal. Push for proper financial compensation, because a few croissants and coffee simply don't make up for not having running water.
Great spot, but they really need to step up their customer service game when serious issues arise!

Before booking, I was a bit worried because the weather forecast predicted rain, but after checking in, I realized that traveling during the off-season was an amazing experience! Having the place practically to ourselves was an indescribable feeling!
Even though there weren't many guests, all the facilities were fully operational: the courtyard, pool, lounge chairs, open-air cinema and bonfire, the slide roof, and even the stargazing room... absolutely everything was open!
The hotel didn't cut any corners or skip any experiences just because of the rain or the low occupancy. From picking us up at Yangshuo High-Speed Rail Station to packing us breakfast when we had to rush off the next morning, the service was absolutely top-notch.
It's a shame that the weather wasn't on our side this trip, as it rained constantly, so I didn't get to see Guilin in its sunny glory. I'll definitely come back next time, on a clear day, and bring my parents to stay at Yunlu – I'm sure they'll love it too.
